Are we on? Oh! Hello Equestria! Nansy Pansy reporting in for Channel 10 news! Here we are, live in Canterlot, is a ceremony happening right now where Celestia, our intergalactic immortal queen, is handing out medals for a group of soldiers that stopped an entire Doppelganger hive from taking over Canterlot! Oh! Looks like one of them is actually Spike, Equestria's first Draco soldier, is with them! What's this!? He's been given the Medal of Honor!!! Speculations have pointed that the young, adopted brother to Princess Twilight and Captain of the Royal Guard, Shining Armor, single handily lead these soldiers down and took out the Doppelganger ship above! For being the first Draco soldier, Spike here must have the potential to become a true leader, almost like his step brother. We will soon have an interview with him soon, folks. Stay tuned!

How does it feel to earn the Medal of Honor?

It... I can't really answer that. I had to what I had to do, which rewarded me with this. It feels good, I won't lie, but, at the same time, it feels natural.

Alright. How does it feel to be the world's first Draco soldier for the Canterlot army?

...It was tough. Only Humans, Mages, and Angels have landed here, any other species working here are rare. With my species having a negative perception by almost everyone in the galaxy, I had to work hard mentally and physically to break all the Draco stereotypes, though upheld the positives view my kind gets.

Good, good. This is more of a two part question, but why did you join the army and what do you plan to do in here?

... This will sound cliche, but I want to protect my sister and prove not all Dracos are the giant, destructive beasts everyone fears.

Well... with Twilight being there for me my entire life, after seeing all the stuff we've been through, eventually with her becoming a princess, I had to join! Looking back, I was more or less a clown to them who did little to nothing to help but provide laughs and acted as, and please don't take this offended, a servant to Twilight. As for my other reason, I believe that's quite self-explanatory.

... Hello everyone... Nansy Pansy here. As you all saw, Spike, Commander of Divison M6, is now dead. What started off as the wedding between the reformed Discord and one of the bearers of Harmony, Fluttershy, soon turned into an attack from the once thought dead tyrant, Sombra, and an army of Doppelgangers following him. We have the princess, and older step sister to Spike herself. Twilight... care to tell us what happened?

...You already saw what happened! We were attacked, and Spike... he... he's... *starts sobbing*

No! You're not! If he hadn't saved Canterlot, none of you would even give a single damn about him!

...Spike did everything he could to make this galaxy right... more than what we could hope for. Saving Canterlot, Queen Celestia & the princesses, and all with no real sense of gain whatsoever. With him, Equestria's Pride was at the top, especially to Princess Twilight Sparkle's family. But... it's still not enough!

The Immortals may control order in this Galaxy, but Spike is still our only hope.

But he died at the hands of Doppelgangers. Doppelgangers! We know they're not the true threat. Sombra is still out there, and they're nothing but his pawns!

...And it's up to us to stop him.

Those immortals will never trust F.I.S.T. They won't accept our help, even with all the bits and facts in our hands. But Spike... they'll listen to him. He's a hero... a god damn icon! But... he's only one man.

One Draco, to be exact.

Author's Notes:

Dragonfire's is set in an idealistic future where it takes place a bit over 10 years after the events of the Season 5 premiere, so all kids in the show are now young adults ranging from 18 to 21. Equestria is a unified galaxy where the locations in the show are now different colonies on planets, and, despite having fantasy names, all sapient creatures from the show are remade to fit with the Sci-Fi setting while real animals will vary from animal to robotic. Spike is the main character of this whole story, and your votes will determine his actions on what will happen next in the story. King Sombra is the villain of this whole story, so he matters in that direction. Diamond Tiara is Spike's second in command, as she's in charge of making sure Spike's mission to stop Sombra is a success, and is one of the many crew members Spike will lead & help in this adventure. The Other is mostly used for different characters that, from the show, movies, and (if I've read it) comics who YOU want to be in the crew with that fits a certain role. The O.C. is for one certain planned crew member I have, but it's also a 'just-in-case' character if there's no character from the three for Other is chosen.

This story is a inspired by both Mass Effect 1 & 2, complete with loyal missions, a codex that will pop up for important character profiles, species, locations, & Miscellaneous, and, to top it all off, choices at the end of chapters that will alter the story & characters that YOU decide on what will happen next. Links (usually music) will be added to try to enhance the mood, though it may not, depends on how well I'll do it. The first three chapters show Spike's early military career before the story begins, so choices will be present in the 4th chapter.

Gore added for violence and some detailed deaths. Sex added for anatomical & physiological reasons with some remarks (Ex: "Why are you asking me these questions? Are you trying to have sex with me right now!?" "WHAT!?!?!? No!!! I want to see if you're alright!" "Oh!... Really? Well... Good! I don't want any of that stuff around me!")
