Zecora Loyalty Part C: Motherly Love

"Stop!" Spike yelled "Listen to what your mother has to say!"

"Oh yeah!?" Zecoro replied, the knife slowly piercing into Ziona's neck, some blood falling out "Why should I listen to her? Why didn't she love me!?"

"She does love you, Zecoro. Ever since your father died, she was empty inside and raised these orphans herself to hopefully feel accomplished as they grow up to be contributors to your village. She's trying to make up for her mistakes right now, and you are one of them she needs to do."

"By what!? Killing me? Is that what you're here for, Mother? To kill your son? Following your footsteps as an assassin. This your way to give me peace, as you always say I should strive for, hypocrite?" Zecora walked to her son. Zecoro readied himself to stab Ziona in the neck.

"I came to grant you peace... You're angry because I wasn't there when your father died and I was busy with our police."

"You were never there when he was alive! Why should you be there when he died!?"

"Your father... he made the orphanage and I followed after." Zecoro lowered the knife.

"What?"

"The Orphanage wasn't just a filler, but it was finding his killer. The children were what kept me going, and I had to prevent their true selves from showing. I should've stayed with you, right before I joined Spike's crew." His knife hand nearly dropped

"I guess it's too bad you waited this long, huh?"

"...Zecoro... you are the only good thing I left. Your childhood, my choices, is something I did for theft. Please, drop the knife... you don't need to take a life." Zecoro teared up a bit, but dropped the knife. Ziona ran off. Both Zecora and Zecor hugged each other, both tearing up.

"Arrest those two immediately!!!" He ordered. Spike delivered a right hook across his face, knocking him out. The guards turned to him.

"Unless you want the same thing to happen, I suggest you give them a room and let them have as much time as they want." Spike threatened. The guards nodded, taking the two Zebs away from the scene.

After what felt like hours, Big Mac finally woke up and found Spike outside another building. The two hung outside, waiting for Zecora to be done with her son. Spike told Big Mac everything that happened, leaving the human to actually feel like a dick for not being with his commander and comrade. He was forgiven though, as the tea Zecora gave them must be really strong to humans, not Drakes. At that moment, Zocra came out with Zecora.

"How'd it go?" Spike asked

"It's... our problems can't be solved with words," Zecora replied "but it'll soon pass, just like a flying bird."

"Yes, but I have no idea what we're going to do with him." Zocra spoke

"He just wants to make a difference," Spike replied "give him some community service."

"Community service for attempted murder?"

"No one needs to know if he did it. Keep it to yourselves, though keep an eye on him, not for me, but for his mother."

"Our Mother."

"Thank you, Zocra," Zecora spoke "You are as effective as an Eagle's claw."

"Aw, stop it. You're making me blush."

"Ready to head back?" Spike asked

"Yes, but I'll need some supplies first." Zecora replied.

"Take the time you need. We'll wait in the shuttle."

On the Celestia, Spike saw that, all around the spaceship, potted plants were around, all strapped down to the floor below. He walked into the Life Support room, seeing Zecora idly sipping from tea.

"You wish to speak with me, Spikey Wikey?" She asked, using the nickname he hasn't heard in a long time.

"Sorta." Spike answered. "What's with the plants for?"

"To provide everyone with fresh air, in case the oxygen fail in our dare."

"I don't think plants work that way."

"To your plants, they don't, but my planet's plants do and fail, they won't."

"Huh... I guess I'll put my trust in you there. But what about water?"

"These plants can survive years being dry, so they won't die."

"...Strange. But what have you done for the crew members? Gave them anything they'll need?"

"What everyone has will be used for the end, so Doppelgangers won't be able to blend. Of course, as a mention, I got this from my other self after you and Twilight traveled into a certain dimension." Spike knew what she was talking about: The Alternate dimension Twilight and Spike saw, where Chrysaliss had took over Equestria, and Zecora was the leader of a resistance.

Can't believe Twilight told Zecora that. He thought to himself. Then he remembered the Sombra dimension. Wait... is Sombra... "OH SHIT!!! I'M SUCH A FUCKING IDIOT!!!" Zecora turned her head.

"What makes you think you are dumb? Need some ease with some rum?"

"No!!! Sombra's kidnapping people to make them his brainwashed army!!! None of the Immortals are willing to kill their own subjects, and the army... there's families in there! Mothers! Children! FUCK!!! Sombra's a fucking, cold hearted genius!!!" He slammed his head against the wall. Zecora got up and patted on Spike's back.

"Here, drink this and you'll feel well. But why Doppelgangers? This, time will tell." Spike looked at the small drink, then sighed.

"Yeah... why Doppelgangers, though?" He took a swig. His vision blurred, and he fell down, snoring loudly.

"There, have your sleep. When you wake up, please, do not weep."
