Garble Loyalty Part A: Disgraced Scumbag

Spike groaned and woke up in the ship's medical room. Nurse Redheart sat on a chair, looking through a tablet, then turned to Spike.

"Oh, you're awake, Commander." She said, setting the tablet down. "You were unconscious in the hallway. Zecora helped me drag you to my room. She said you were fine, but I needed to be sure."

"...Thanks." Spike replied. He groaned as he turned back to a sitting position, but stood right back up.

"Your very welcome, sir. Though, next time, don't accept Zecora's tea."

"Note taken." He sniffed the air. "Is Mrs. Cake cooking something?"

"No, sir. She's not." She pointed out of her window. Spike looked out to see Mrs. Cake having a chat, giggling at one of the staff member's jokes.

"Then why does something smell like it's... burning?" He realized it. "OH SHIT!!!" He ran out of the room end entered the elevator. As he descended, the smell of something burning became stronger, and smoke developed. Loud blaring was heard as the doors opened, and the place was covered in black smoke. Being a Draco himself, Spike didn't have to worry about fire & smoking problems, their kind was built for it, but he pulled a nearby fire extinguisher off of the wall and headed to the Starboard Cargo Area, the place that was ultimately the Trash room, and where Garble was at. The door opened and fire came out, nearly swallowing Spike. He pulled the pin off of the Fire Extinguisher and began to douse the flames away. Unsure if WOONA was being slow or not, the sprinkler systems were activated, and the fire, with smoke, slowly went away. Right in the middle of the room, with ashes in the middle, was Garble. Spike crossed his arms in irritation.

"Ah, came to meet me after a while, Commander?" Garble mocked.

"What the hell  are you doing!? You're jeopardizing the mission!"

"Me? Jeopardizing a mission I'm being paid for? You're lying."

"If you aren't jeopardizing, then what the hell are you doing?"

"Getting your attention, sir." Spike sighed in annoyance.

"If you needed my help, you should've just came to me."

"You were knocked out. 'Sides, everyone's doing something in their room to get your attention, so why not me?"

"That's because they're usually under heavy emotional distress."

"And I am as well." Again, Spike sighed.

"What is it?"

"Well, here's the thing: you see what I'm wearing?"

"...I do. What's that have to do with anything?"

"Well, you should know that, before I joined your boyband, I was the founder of my own Mercernary group."

"...Which one? You're not Shadowbolt nor Wizard material."

"Of course not, jackass. I'm Wild boy material."

"...You founded that group of idiots?"

"Those 'idiots' were my friends. We did everything together that you can think of: got protection money from stores, stole some cargo, held leaders for ransom. Those were the days."

"And what happened to you afterwards?"

"...Fucking Odiv."

"Odiv?"

"One of my best friends. Second in command. He was really the brains of the operation, something that, I won't lie, I'm glad that he has. Backstabbed me, literally. All of my old 'friends' teamed up against me! I'm glad I survived and made it, but now you're here, I found his location, and I demand that we go there and shoot his fucking brains out!"

"...And how did you find his location?"

"Don't you ever watch the news? I can tell his signature style and have pinpointed the planet he and my old crew is at! Now let's go and get the bastard before he heads to a different place!"

"... Alright. But after this, you keep your head in the mission."

"Yeah, whatever."

With the Coordinates in, Spike, Garble, and Gilda landed on the planet that Odiv was at. Gilda joined, mostly because she felt that she wasn't doing anything, and that she too was also trying to find Odiv, but not for revenge, rather to make the galaxy a bit safer. They landed in what looked liked a tropical jungle, but saw that a colony was nearby. The colony wasn't huge, but Spike could tell that most of the people were innocent, probably another colony that will fall victim to Sombra.

"Tapping into the Wild boys communications." Garble spoke, adjusting his helmet. "Stay tight and look for ambushes." He put his helmet back on, connecting the communications to everyone else. He lead the way, both Spike and Gilda following, readying their weapons.

"Squad Bravo," A voice spoke in the intercoms "A shuttle landed near your area. Check it out."

"That's Odiv. Keep close." As they traveled, they stopped as they saw two dead bodies, a human male & a female mage, both with shots in their backs.

"Shot in the back and left to rot." Gilda examined.

"That's Odiv's style. Let's push ahead." They continued their way.

"Command to Bravo," Odiv spoke again "Take a position; likely these people aren't runaways." They saw a group of Wild boys, all drakes, most with wings.

"Holy shit!" One of them spoke, jumping and pulling out his assault rifle. "It's Garble!"

"Yeah! And go fuck yourself!" Garble pulled out his assault rifle and fired! Spike took cover as Gilda flapped her wings. Many of the drakes flew up to Gilda and fired at her, though the rest were busy with Spike and Garble. Depsite taking out their enemies, Spike felt... wrong. It may have to be that, in the army, Spike never killed any of his own kind, and, though he hated Garble, there was still that somewhat brother0like bond they had with each other that day.

Hope I don't get all too sentimental with this jackass. He thought to himself.

With all the enemies dead, they crossed a bridge and went into a nearby gatehouse. They saw, above on some railing, what was a drake that looked very similar to Spike. He too had purple scales & green 'hair' that covered his eyes, but also had the Wild Boys armor on, and wings.

"Garble," he spoke "You've finally tracked me down. And I see you brought both the 'hero', Gilda, and Commander Spike."

"Odiv!" Garble growled, ready to pull his assault rifle out.

"Don't be stupid, Garble! I have a whole company of bloodthirsty bastards behind me, ready to kill or be killed on my command."

"I hope they're ready for us!" Gilda spoke.

"Oh, they are! Go on, shoot me! Give my men a reason to put you down like the dogs you all are!" Spike examined the field, seeing ways that they could use, but was interrupted as Garble charged ahead, shooting at Odiv. Odiv dodged, the bullets hitting a machine, letting steam out. "What was that? Gone near sighted, old friend?"

"Burn, you son of a bitch!" Garble replied, firing again. An explosion came from right behind Odiv, blasting him, but not killing him.

"You just signed your death warrant, Garble!" He ran away as other Drakes came and fired at them! Spike and Gilda took cover behind a wall, but they watched as Garble turned a wheel with his strength.

"The fuck are you doing!?" Gilda yelled. Ignoring them, Garble turned and pulled the wheel off. An explosion blasted the drakes and opened a large door.

"Opening the gate." He replied. Spike growled and marched to Garble.

"We don't sacrifice lives for the sake of the mission!" Spike yelled "There's always a better way!"

"Like what!? Wondering around the goddamn jungle for hours, looking for a way in!?" Spike clenched his right hand into a fist "You want to waste time, go ahead! I'm going to kill-" Spike couldn't hold it back. He delivered a right hook across Garble's face! Garble flinched as he got fit, spitting out some blood.

"You're endangering lives, the mission, for you own selfish revenge!" Garble stood up and flared his claws.

"You really wanna do this, Spike!?" Spike leaned into Garble's face.

"I oughta knock you the hell out. But thanks to you, we-"

"Let these people burn! Odiv dies, whatever the cost!" Garble flared his wings and entered the next room.

"Get back here!" Gilda shouted, chasing after him. Spike followed afterwards. Luckily, Gilda pinned Garble to the floor.

"Get the fuck off me, bitch!"

"Fuck you, you fucking disgrace! Killing Mercs is one thing, but you're fine with innocents dying!?"

"What's it matter to you!? No one cares about Drakes, so why should we care for them!?" Before Spike could say anything, a voice shouted.

"Help! We're trapped!" Spike turned to see a refinery worker, a human male, on a platform above them. "We can't get to the gas valves to shut them off! The whole place is going to blow!" Garble pushed Gilda off.

"There's no time!" Garble spoke "Odiv's probably halfway to the shuttle docks by now."

"You're willing to watch these people die?" Spike asked

"Damn right I am! If we stop to help, Odiv gets away. And if he gets away, I'm blaming you!"

We're saving these people!

Split up.

Let's get some revenge.
