Ch.8 I Make Big Plans

My internal alarm clock goes off, waking me up from my peaceful slumber. At least Celestia isn't waking my ass this time. I get up, cracking what feels like every bone in my back. Then it hits me, that smell, is it? I walk into what I assume is the kitchen. A pretty big lizard that I've been told was called Spike was cooking something on what Celestia told me was a stove. Somehow the thing produced a flame that you cook with. It even roasted shit. These ponies and there magic stuff!

I walk behind Spike and say, "Are those eggs? “Spike jumps in the air and I catch him in the air so he didn't knock over the eggs. “Jeeze man, you scared the daylights out of me!" “Sorry little guy, why are you cooking eggs?" He looked at me like I was nuts." Because eggs are breakfast food." Ponies don't eat meat but eggs are fine? I mentally shrug. No need to ask questions, just eat eggs. “Spike I will be your best friend if you give me some of those eggs." He shook his head yes "Sure man, they're for you anyway, Twilight wanted me to make them for you for your work." I got the little guy up at 4 in the morning to cook me eggs, boy do I feel like a dick." Hey I'm sorry that you had to wake so early just to cook me breakfast." “No problem, I'm usually awake at this time."

After I stuffed myself with eggs and got directions from Spike I made my way be Sweet Apple Acres. It was a hell of a walk but it was nice. I got to see the rest of ponyville, it was nice and quiet, and no pony was up at this hour. I looked up at the sky, the stars were still out and it was a full moon. Looking at the moon reminded me that I had to prank Celestia soon. Maybe will want to get in on it. Then a great idea leaps into my head. "LUNA!" I shout up to the sky, “IF YOU CAN HEAR ME MEET ME HERE TOMORROW!!!" I kept walking, hoping that it worked I didn't want to look like a crazy, screaming at the moon."

It was a long walk to the farm; the sun was just visible over the horizon. When I got there, I could hear something hitting a tree. I followed the sound and I saw a big red earth pony kicking a tree, knocking apples from the tree in a few kicks. He sees me and beckons me to come over. I walk to him and he says,

“You Marvil?

“Yep"

“You big Macintosh?”

"Eeyup"

He looks me up and down and says, " AJ's that'a'way ........ You’re alright." He then went back to kicking another tree. Not much of a talker....

I walk to where he pointed and soon heard somepony kicking a tree again. This time it was Applejack. She saw me and smiled. " Mornin' Marvel" she said” “Yer ready for work?" I grinned and saluted." Yes ma'am!" She laughed “Here’s what yer going ta be doing around here." I followed her over to the barrels were all of the apples that had fallen in." Ya take all of these barrels and put'em in in the barn. “I grinned," That doesn't seem like that hard of a job." She grinned at me evilly “If ya say so."

12 HOURS LATER........

"Fuck ponies, fuck apples, and FUCK CELESTIA AND THIS SUN!!!" I screamed to on one in particular. I had been doing this for hours and it was horrible. It was great the first few hours, it was a cool morning and the barrels weren't that heavy. But then it got hotter, a LOT hotter. It must be a 100 fucking degrees outside. And it wasn't helping that I had to carry what suspiciously felt like a million barrels. I was getting to the last couple barrels and was pretty damn happy about that." At least I'm almost d-AHHHHHHH!"

Someone threw a rope around my legs I was in the air upside down. I was about 2 feet from the ground and I saw who tied my up. 3 fillies, a unicorn, an earth pony, and a Pegasus. " We did it!"" APPLEJACK!" I yelled." 3 FILLIES HAVE ME TIED UPSIDE DOWN IN A TREE!!!" “Quiet monster!" the earth pony said, she sounded a lot like Applejack... “Marvil what in tarnation? Applebloom! What do ya think yer doing hogtieing Marvel up there like that?" “Applejack this thing was tryin ta steal apples from the farm and we stopped it!" “Applebloom this is our new farm hand Marvil." "WHAT!" all 3 fillies said at the sometime, which would of been cute if I wasn't stuck in a fuckin' apple tree.

“Girls it’s nice to meet you can you please get out of this apple tree? All of the blood is rushing to my head." They let go of the rope." No don't do tha-oofff!" I landed on my head which was okay because my neck cushioned my fall." Damn Damn Damn." I said, as Applejack helped me to my feet. I rolled my neck, it cracked the whole way, I was feeling that tomorrow. “Now ya’ll say sorry!" Applejack said to them. They all looked down and said at the same time," Were sorry.” Despite myself, I smiled “It’s alright girls, now will you tell me your names?" The orange Pegasus said, “I’m Scootaloo!" The white unicorn said, “I’m Sweete Bell!” And Applebloom said," I'm Applebloom!" They all said together “And we are the Cutie Mark Crusaders!"

“Nice you meet you girls, now I'd love to talk but I have to get back to work, the boss will holler at me." I winked at Applejack who laughed. Getting the rest of the barrels in the barn only took about another hour. I was washing myself off with a barrel that had rain water in it when Applejack walked up to me. She had a bag and she tossed it to me." There’s 35 bits fer a hard day’s work Marvil." she said." Now ta'morrow ya don't have to come in cause it's the weekend. But be here Monday morning ya hear?" I smiled “Alright AJ, buts what’s the 5 bits for?" She looked down." Them there extra bits are fer my sister and her friends harassing ya." I laughed, "NO NO NO AJ you take those back it was no problem at all, I did way worse when I was a kid." I took the 5 bits out and tried to hand it to her, she stomped her hoof and said," No ya keep that money ya hear!" I raised my hands up in surrender, laughing “Fine don't bite my head off!"

Applejack walked with me to the rode out of the orchard when I got hit by a blue flash in the chest." Oofff!" boy was I getting hurt today! I was knocked on my ass and a pony was on my stomach. It was Rainbow Dash." O hello Rainbow." She might of bruised a rib, but I wasn't going to complain. “Nice of you to "drop" by." I chuckled at my own joke " Are ya tired of spying on me from the clouds?" It was true, the whole day whenever I looked up at the sky there was a rainbow flash through the sky.

I wasn't sure until I asked her was I sure. She grew flustered, tring to defend herself. "N-no I wasn't watching you I had work today. I was breaking up the clouds." I looked up, there were clouds as far as the eye could see. I pointed up to the sky and when the other girls looked up and me and Applejack had a good laugh from it .Rainbow just blushed deeper. " So Marvil, whatcha doin' this weekend?" AJ said, trying to get the attention off her already embarrassed friend. " Well AJ, I'm going to build me a house.  " Both of the girls looked at me. " Where are you going to do that?" Rainbow asked." Somewhere by a lake would be nice and hear the forest." I answered, “Why near a lake that's near the forest?"

“For the trees." I said, refusing to answer about the lake, they would learn about why as soon I learned to read. Then we hear somepony running with us. We all turned around and saw Applebloom running towards us. She stopped in front of us, gasping for air," Marvil....I just wanted.....ta say.....sorry fer what.....happened to day." I smiled at her." It's alright Applebloom" I got on my knee, giving Rainbow a wink I reached into the pouch and pulled out the 5 extra bits AJ gave me, making sure she didn't see me." No hard feelings Applebloom, in fact here's 5 bits, go buy yourself some cupcakes." I gave her the money. Before anypony could react I jumped up and started to run in town." SeeyoulaterIgottagobuy!" I didn't see the look on Applejacks face but after a few seconds I heard her scream, “MARVIL YA VARMENT! YOU GET BACK HERE!!!" I laughed and picked up the pace, it would all go to waste if she caught me.

I saw a blue flash zip by me, it was Rainbow. She was laughing, she was laughing so hard that she didn't notice the tree she was about to hit into a tree. “Whoa there!" I plucked her out of the air. “You got to watch were you’re going." She was still laughing too hard to carry her the rest of the way into town, again......
