A promise is an assurance, a declaration by the promisor that whatever they said will be done, that it will be accomplished. It’s considered the noblest of goals to hold yourself to your promises, to always keep the ones you make.
Yet, how far will young Taz go to keep his promise? He promised a young mare that he’d come back for her, that he’d scour Tartarus to find her. As an earth pony, he has no magic, no flight. Taz will be forced to test himself against the worst the underworld has to offer in an effort to keep his.
But for the one you love, no distance is too far. For the one you love, everything can be accomplished.
