Chapter 2

“About what?” said Twilight, only giving a quick bow. In fact she almost never gave a real bow

to either of the princesses. After spending so much time with Celestia, she considers herself as an almost

equal to them. But she still knows that they are the alicorns with eons of experience, and she was still a

unicorn still learning about friendship.

“That book. It seems you are very interested in it.” Luna exclaimed without a smile, and an eager

look in her eyes.

“umm, yes” Twilight was cowering back like Fluttershy would’ve done to anything that scared

her.

“ And you request for my sisters assistance in the matter?” same questioning, and slightly

accusing tone.

“umm, yes!” Twilights voice squeaked at ‘yes’, while sweating beads.

“ If its my sisters assistance you seek, then you shall be disappointed when I assure you that she

will not help.” Luna pulled out the same book from behind her.” I too, don’t fully comprehend this guide

to the universe. Not only because I’m younger than my sister, but when your banished to the moon for a

thousand years, you tend to forget things that you learned long ago.” Luna looked down, now forming a

sad face. She held back the memories and stood tall again, just like the princess she was supposed to be.

“If you don’t mind Twilight Sparkle, may we mutually assist each other in learning the contents?”

Twilight was able to see the fear, and sorrow in her eyes and felt sad for the dark alicorn, she

knew a thousand years was a long time, but it just hit her, how it must’ve felt to be alone, cold, and

nothing to do, let alone read! And air… there was nothing out in space… nothing. This made Twilight

feel worst. The whole fact of not knowing what Luna went through made her seem much more vulnerable.

She had to help.” Of course, Princess. What ever you want.”

“Thank you Twilight Sparkle!” Luna’s face instantly turned happy and she hugged Twilight very

hard.

“No…Problem!” she said in between tough, exasperating breaths.

Luna let go of Twilight and set her down on her bed. Luna hopped in to it too and made herself

comfortable, shaking left and right until it was just right. Even though she was much older than Twilight,

she was still a filly in the inside, well, sometimes. Twilight, having being in the same bed as her teachers

sister, made it very awkward, and hard to pay attention to the book.

“Wow. I guess you haven’t learned much about proper space for a pony.”

“hmm? It is royally correct to be this close to a family member, and, or a good friend.”

Twilight had never thought of Luna being a friend, and definitely not a family member! But

Celestia was like her mother, so it works out in the end… kind of.

“Now, I was wondering if you could help with this section. Its about something called… worm

holes.” said Twilight pointing her hoof to the sections title. Luna gave a small smile.

“ Twilight! That is one of the easiest concepts within it! I guess it shall not hurt if I explain it to

you.”

“ I kind of wanted to learn my self. You know, so I can remember it more. I just want you to

make sure my assumptions are correct, and if they’re not, I’ll go back and figure out where I went wrong.”

“I see. No wonder my sister thinks so much of you. You are a brilliant student, but you must

understand that this book is very complicated and that you must know this section before you continue to

all the others. If you spend all your time on something so elementary, you’ll waste not only yours, but my

time as well.”

Twilight sat there and thought. Luna did have a point, She didn’t want to spend her entire life

figuring out the easiest part of the book. She needed help with this one, and this one alone. In the future

she would learn it herself. “ umm, go ahead.”

“ Well, The basic notion of an intra-universe wormhole is that it is a compact region

of space-time whose boundary is topologically trivial but whose interior is not simply

connected.(thnx to wikipedia) In simpler terms, it is a way to travel to different time

periods, and quite possibly different dimensions.”

“Whoa.” Twilights face was in awe. She had not looked this way since she was a filly learning

about trigonometry. “ And how exactly are they made?”

“Well, before me and my sister were born, only our parent could make one together. They’ve

made several in their lifetimes, and that is the reason we have the technology we have today. Have you

ever noticed why we have electricity?”

“hmm?”

“ Forget I said that! See I cant talk about it, because it might disrupt the pattern of our universe!

But then again, you are a smart little unicorn who can hopefully keep her snout closed.”

“Yes mam!” she said really fast, so that Luna could further explain about the subject.

“ Anyways, they gathered a lot of information from other universes and time periods, but once we

were born, they had stopped. I myself do not know why, but that’s what I’m trying to figure out, along

with countless other things in this book.”

“I… I, I cant even begin… what… how…” Twilight had a confused look on her face, not

something she gets a lot when it comes to physics. “ Can you make worm holes?!” she said full of

curiosity and intensity!

“Well, you know how my parents represent space and time. Sister and I were both lucky enough

to get both of there genes separated equally. The sun and the moon are both in space, and they both are

used to tell time. But then again, time is an illusion…”

“WHAT!”

“Oh, my. Sorry, well that’s a sneak peek at later sections.” said Luna worried that she might be

giving Twilight too much knowledge at once.” Back to hereditary, we can both use our magic to

fully enable a stable wormhole. But she deemed it too dangerous to make, so we’ve never tried it before.”

“Why not? Why is it dangerous? I want to know more! MORE!”

“ Are you sure you can handle more?” Twilight nodded her head vigorously with a crazy look in

her eye.” hmm, ok. Honestly, I don’t know why? Its only the unstable ones that are dangerous, and those

are only made if one of us tries to make a wormhole alone.

“You can make one alone!!”

“ Yes, yes we can. But in an unstable wormhole, you cannot create a window, such as how long it

will last, what date and time it leads to, what dimension it leads to, if you can go in or out, how big or

small the portal itself is, and many other minute, yet important factors.”

After that, Luna didn’t have much else to say, and Twilight didn’t have much else to ask. There

was a silence that filled the room. It could’ve been considered awkward, but to both of the ponies, it was a

beautiful silence that made the world seem a lot simpler. Twilight was generating how her world was in

her head. She knew almost all the physics that existed in Equestria, except for the Everfree Forest, but

other than that nothing confused her. But this wasn’t about Equestria. No, this was much more! These

were physics that every world had. Every galaxy… every dimension… every universe. This is what

connected them all. Twilight was now determined to forget about the rest of the book, and devote every

empty brain cell in her already overloaded head, to learn about other dimensions. Friendship itself can

wait until she solved the mystery of the universe…
