Chapter 3 – meet the gang

Author’s note : The main character thinks in italics like thisand there will be a LOT of cursing. The second me thinks in these{}and in italics

I woke up wondering where I was, I looked at my hands…hoofs HOLY MOTHER OF CELESTIA and then I remembered well, let’s get this over with I got out of bed and began to go down the stairs, for two reasons, one I wanted to talk to Twilight and, two I smelled pancakes.  I was preoccupied with pancakes and didn’t notice the purple baby dragon until I almost ran into him, we stared eye to eye (I’m that short) for a while until I decided to break the silence.

“…umm, hi” “hi” he said, almost reflexively, before asking “umm, who are you?” I responded “I’m called Shadow Spell” “okay, and why are you here” he asked as though I were someone suspicious “I got here last night, I needed a spell that was on me removed by Twilight, when I told her I had nowhere to go she insisted I stay the night” I said “if you don’t believe me, ask Twilight” and he walked off to apparently do what I suggested he do.

A few second later he came back and said “okay, sorry for doubting you, my name’s spike” and he extended his hand to shake, I shook hands with the baby dragon and smiled, I felt like I had just made a friend and then I felt a strange itching all over my body and a voice in my head say {hello, I’m Bright Flight, pleased to meet you}

My body then did something weird, I began to grow taller, my eye color changed from green to blue, my coat changed from pitch black to white and my mane and tail changed from red and black to yellow and blue, the horn on my head receded and I felt a tingling, growing sensation on my back as wings grew, and I changed from a stallion to a filly and my personality began to change.

“hello, I’m Bright Flight, pleased to meet you” I said, smiling like it was the most normal thing in the world. spike was staring at me flabbergasted “b-b-but weren’t you just Shadow Spell? TWILIGHT!!!” the second comment was obviously not directed at me “well, he might not have known this, but I do, he has multiple personalities, I’m the personality of friendship and happiness.” I said with a smile “our memories are basically the same, but I just react differently” still smiling then Twilight walks in and stares at me for a moment “w-who are you?” she asked.

“I’m Bright Flight,” still smiling I continued “you met a different personality of me last night, I have four in all, but you don’t want to meet eternity unless you’re his friend, the last personality you don’t want to meet ever he’ll kill you all without a second thought, luckily he only comes out when I see someone murdered” still smiling and in a bright tone why the buck can’t I stop smiling {because then I’d go away} Twilight was staring at me with her mouth wide open. “so let me get this straight” she said when she sorted things out in her head “there are four of you, each one looks different, and your all brought out by different things” “pretty much”I answered STILL SMILING my face muscles are getting tired of smiling.

Twilight went to a different room with spike for a while. I was on my own, I don’t like being on my own because it feels like my friends abandoned me I stopped smiling and suddenly shifted back into Shadow Spell. I rubbed my face muscles with my hoofs “that’s going to be sore later.” Twilight walked back in and looked at me “hi Shadow Spell, why are you rubbing your face” “my face muscles are sore from smiling so much” I responded, still rubbing my facial muscles I just realized, I sound a lot like pinkie pie when I’m like that “anyways, you need to meet the rest of my friends” she seemed like she really wanted to see them.

might as well {yay, new friends} I walked out the door, following Twilight please not pinkie first please not pinkie first I repeated in my head I’m afraid to find out what will happen if pinkie pie and bright spell meet she, luckily took me in the direction of the apple family’s farm (I apologize for the lack of a southern accent, I have no idea how to write one and I mean no offense to any of the apple family or their fans, however I will have big mac’s famous lines).

Twilight walked up to a GIANT red stallion with an apple half on his flank “hey, Big Mac, would you happen to know where applejack is?” “eeyup, she’s out in the fields, applebucking” then he noticed me “well, hi there little guy, what’s your name” I mentally sighed before responding “I’m Shadow Spell” “nice to meet you Shadow, I’m Big Macintosh, you can call me Big Mac” I waited for a moment before responding “thanks, seeya” “bye Shadow” he called out as we walked away.

Applejack was, as he said, out bucking the fields that still sounds SO wrong {I know, doesn’t it, but still, a new FRIEND} as Bright Spell giggled with glee, we walked up to Applejack “well, hi Twilight, and who’s your friend?” “hi, my name’s Shadow Spell” I responded, bracing myself for what was to come “aww,” I knew it “well, aren’t you just the cutest thing” and she walked forward and began snuggling HELP HELP! {aww, hey this counts as making a new friend!} oh crud this time the change wasn’t gradual, it was one moment Shadow Spell *POP* there’s Bright Flight “HOLY…”(I have no idea what she says in this instance) “Yeah, there’s something you need to know about Shadow Spell…” I interrupted Twilight with a “HI, I’m Bright Flight, I hope we can be good friends” cue the face pain.
