Pinkamena 3: Homecoming
Chapter 8: May Visits Pinkamena
Previous Chapter Next Chapter Celestia burst through the front doors of the castle and stood outside. She had never felt more angry in her life. Bodies of dead ponies lay on the ground, covered in blood.
"THAT DOES IT!" she yelled. "PINKIE NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!"
Celestia turned and marched back inside. May hung her head in sadness.
"Oh, Pinkie." she said.
She then had a thought. A crazy thought. She thought about her decision over and over in her head until she made her choice. She took off out the door and ran through the courtyard. Twilight quickly stepped outside.
"May!" she yelled, frantically trying to get her back. "May!"
May didn't pay attention. She just kept running. Rainbow Dash and the others joined Twilight outside.
"What's going on?" asked Trixie.
"May's gone." said Twilight, taking a deep breath. "Probably after Pinkie."
"Oh, mah gosh." said Applejack. "She have any idea what she's getting herself into?"
"Apparently not." said Twilight, taking a couple steps forward. "We have to go after her."
"We do?" asked Fluttershy. "Isn't that... you know... dangerous?" she asked with a somewhat frightened expression.
"It probably is." said Twilight. "But she's our friend. We have to go."
May arrived in a forest near Canterlot and kept running. She eventually burst through into a clearing. She looked around and saw two ponies, a mare and a colt, sitting together at a campsite. They looked up at May.
"Hello." said May, panting. She was out of breath from running.
"Uh... hi." said the colt.
"You didn't happen to see a pink pony run through here, did you?"
"Actually, we did." said the mare. "She ran over there."
She pointed to a spot ahead of May.
"Thanks." said May, taking off.
After a few more feet she arrived at yet another clearing. This one was larger and was right next to the mountain where Canterlot is located. There was a lake in the center of the clearing and a cave in the mountain. May turned to her left and headed for the cave. She looked at the lake as she passed it. It looked shallow around the sides, but deep in the center. She turned back to the cave, fearing every step she took towards it. She really didn't want to do this but she felt as though she had to. She now stood at the mouth of cave. After taking a deep breath, she headed inside. It got darker the further she went but there was always a bit of light, shining through the openings in the roof.
"Pinkie!" she called out, her voice echoing off the walls. "Are you--"
She was interrupted by a figure darting out off the darkness and pinning her to the cave wall. IT was, of course, Pinkamena. She opened her mouth, ready to take a bite out of May, but stopped. She pulled back and stared at May.
"Oh." she said, sounding annoyed. "It's you."
"Pinkie..." May said sympathetically.
"Why are you here?" Pinkie asked.
"What's happened to you?"
"What's happened to me?" asked Pinkie, laughing.
"You were so nice before. And now..."
Pinkie let out another laugh that echoed off the walls. "You must have me confused with Pinkie Pie." Pinkie let go of May and moved in close to her face. "I'm Pinkamena." she said, sounding ominous. "And I'm dangerous."
She turned and started to walk away.
"I don't believe that." said May, trying to sound brave. Pinkie stopped walking and looked back. Shadows covered her entire body, except for her narrowed eyes. "And I'm not scared of you." said May shakily.
"Really?" asked Pinkie. She turned and walked back to May. May backed up against the wall as Pinkie moved in close, her face filled with fear. Pinkie smiled. "You are scared of me. Good." Her smile faded. "You should be. I've done things that would give you nightmares." Pinkie examined May's frightened expression and smiled again. "You look just like Strawberry did... before I killed her." May felt her fear turn to anger. "And when I sunk my teeth into her flesh..." she licked her lips. "Delicious."
May let out a yell and fired a bolt from her horn. Pinkie stepped to the side to avoid it. May then lunged at Pinkie, but Pinkie placed a hoof on May's forehead and threw her into the cave wall. Her head slammed against the stone and she collapsed to the ground. She let out a moan of pain as Pinkie knelt down in front of her.
"Looks like I touched a nerve." Pinkie said with sarcastically sympathetic tone. "Listen up, girl." she said, her tone becoming more ominous. "Don't ever cross me again. I will kill you." She stood up an turned to walk away. "And don't worry. When I'm finished with the guards, I'll kill the rest of your friends."
May let out another groan and decided to just lay and not move. she thought about Strawberry again and started to cry.
"Oh, Strawberry." she said softly. "I miss you so much."
She looked up and caught Pinkie's tail disappearing into the darkness. May then felt this sudden wave of nausea. Probably from hitting her head. She decided not to fight it so she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
