Chapter 7: Pinkamena's Escape

Previous Chapter Next Chapter

A guard opened the cell door and Pinkie walked in. He closed the door behind her and Celestia approached the bars.
"You're very brave for going through with this." said Celestia.
"I'm only doing what's right." said Pinkie.
"It's a shame this happened to you." said Celestia. "Your friends seem to care about you despite what you've done.
"They're the best friends anypony could ever have."
Celestia left Pinkie and headed back to the throne room. She was on her way up the steps to her throne when Twilight and the others burst through the front doors.
"Where's Pinkie?" asked Twilight, skidding to a stop. "We have to see her."
Celestia approached Twilight.
"Twilight Sparkle." said Celestia. "It pains me to have to tell you this but Pinkie's going to be... put to death."
"What?" asked Twilight. "How could you--"
"It was her choice." said Celestia. "She wants to die."
"Is she still alive?" asked Fern.
"Yes." said Celestia. "But not for very much longer. If you want to see her you should see her now."
"Thank you." said Twilight.
She and her friends all headed to the dungeons of the castle where Pinkie Pie was being held.
"Pinkie!" said Twilight, spotting her in a cell.
They approached the bars of the cell.
"Pinkie." said Fern. "Thank goodness we got to you in time."
"Thanks for coming, girls." said Pinkie.
"Of course." said Twilight.
"Where... where's May?" asked Pinkie, looking around.
"She... she stayed behind." said Twilight.

May sat on her bed, thinking about past events.

Pinkie let out a sad sigh.
"I really wanted to apologize for what I did."

May left her room and headed outside. She looked up at the sky, closed her eyes, and took in a deep breath.

"Though I know there's no way she could ever forgive me." said Pinkie. "I can't even forgive myself."

May took off running. She left Trottingham and headed through the forest.

"Pinkie." said Twilight sympathetically.
"Why did this have to happen to me?" asked Pinkie, crying.
"It's time." said a guard stepping behind the group.
The group parted, letting the guard through. He opened the door and Pinkie stepped out. The guard led her down the hall. Pinkie looked back at her friends. They all looked sad. Fern, Fluttershy, Dawn, and Twilight were crying. Pinkie held back tears as the guard led her into a room where two other guards were waiting. The others returned to the throne room.
"So, this is Pinkamena." said one of the guards, stepping forward. He had on better looking armor than the others. He must be the Captain. "You killed my guards." he said. "So, before we dispatch you, we're going to have a little fun."
He kicked her in the legs, causing her to collapse to the floor.
"What was that--" Pinkie started.
She was interrupted when the Captain kicked her in the face.
"Get me the pliers." said the Captain.
One of the guards went to a table in the room and picked up some pliers. He then dropped them in front of the Captain. The Captain slid his hooves into the handles and opened them.
"Hold her mouth open." he ordered. The guard that handed him the pliers knelt down behind Pinkie and pressed on the sides of her mouth, forcing it open. "You killed my guards with this metal tooth." said the Captain. "Now... the tooth is mine."
"What metal tooth?" Pinkie mumbled. Tears were falling from her eyes and she was shaking.
"This one." said the guard, reaching the pliers into her mouth and grabbing the metal tooth.
He squeezed hard and twisted the pliers back and forth. Pinkie squealed in pain as blood squirted out from her gums. The Captain then yanked as hard as he could, pulling the tooth out. He and the guard stood up. Pinkie rolled over on her stomach, holding her mouth. Blood filled up inside and she spit it out.
"Now for the next step." said the guard, dragging Pinkie over to the back wall.
There was a wooden plank stuck horizontally about two-and-a-half feet above the floor. A spike stuck out on the left and right sides. The Captain threw Pinkie against the wall. He then raised each of her front legs and impaled them on the spikes. Pinkie let out a howl of pain as the spikes punctured her skin and emerged on the other side. Blood spilled out all over the floor.
"This is pathetic." said the Captain, kneeling down in front of Pinkie. "WHERE IS SHE?!" he yelled. "WHERE's PINKAMENA?! WHERE'S THE ONE THAT KILLED MY MEN?!"
Pinkie did nothing but cry. The guard let out a frustrated yell and stood up. He turned from Pinkie and took a couple steps forward. "Finish her." he said.
The guard started to move forward when they heard a faint chuckle. The Captain turned to look at Pinkie. She chuckled again. This wasn't a happy chuckle. This was the kind of chuckle that sent a shiver down your spine.
"You wanted Pinkamena?" asked Pinkie. "You wanted the one who killed your men?" Pinkie looked up. The fear on her face was replaced with fury. ""Well, here I am."
"Quick!" yelled the Captain. "Kill her!"
A guard moved in on Pinkie. She flung her front legs off the spikes and lunged at the guard. She dug her teeth into his neck. Blood spilled out everywhere and he fell down. Dead. The other guard took a step back as Pinkie ran at him. He held up his hooves as Pinkie lunged at his face. She bit a chunk out of his leg. He then let out a yell as Pinkie slipped behind him and bit the back of his neck. He fell to the floor. Also dead. The Captain ran at Pinkie with the pliers in his mouth. Pinkie lunged at him. He stepped to the side, dropped the pliers, and slid his hoof into the handle. Pinkie spun around as the Captain stabbed Pinkie in the seam on her leg where the skin met her hoof. She let out a scream of pain and pulled back. She took one last look at the Captain before quickly limping out of the room.
"Oh, no you don't." said the Captain, following her into the hall.
He looked down the hallway but didn't see her. Just then he felt teeth dig into his back leg. He let out a cry of pain as he fell to the floor. Pinkie stepped over him and limped towards the throne room.
May burst through the front doors of the castle and saw Twilight and the others gathered in the center of the throne room.
"Can't anypony knock anymore?" asked Luna, standing next to Celestia at the top of the stairs.
"Sorry, princesses." said May, out of breath. "Am I too late?" she asked, stopping in front of Twilight.
"Yeah." said Twilight sympathetically. "I'm sorry."
May let out a sigh of discontent.
"Did you run all the way here?" asked Trixie.
"Had to." said May. "I don't know how to teleport yet."
Just then Pinkie burst through one of the side doors. Celestia and Luna both looked.
"Not again." said Celestia, annoyed.
Luna ran down the stairs and stood between Pinkie and the others.
"You will not hurt these ponies." said Luna.
"I don't want them." said Pinkie, keeping off her injured hoof and leaning against the wall. "Not yet, anyway."
"Then why are you still here?" asked Celestia.
"You mean why am I still alive?" she asked. "Your Royal Guards tortured me."
"They wouldn't." said Celestia.
"Oh, but they did." laughed Pinkie. "And now, they're all gonna die."
"QUICK!" yelled Celestia. "Somepony grab her!"
Luna made a move but Pinkie darted towards the front door.
"See ya later!" she yelled.
Celestia let out an angry yell.
"NOT... AGAIN!
