Sombra charged at me but I quickly teleported behind him and smashed the back of his head with a powerful spin kick that sent him toppling over. He cursed as he stood up but as soon as he got to his hooves I flew forwards and slammed him through a stone wall.
Rubble and debris crashed as I plowed his body through the stone of several walls. As we passed through the stone wall leading to the study hall, I released his body then fired an energy blast that propelled him harder into the opposite wall. It was incredible, it felt like I was both Nightmare Moon and Clare combined. I guess that’s what Nightmare Moon meant when she said fused their bodies together.
Sombra groaned painfully as he stood to his hindlegs. “Alright time to get serious” he hissed. “Awwww, but I was having fun” I pouted, he snarled from the comment and lashed forwards. As he approached I sidestepped his charge and slammed my knee into his chest, making him gasp for air as the strike knocked the wind out of him. I stepped back as he fell to his knees, groping his chest as he groveled in pain.
He quickly subdued the pain and staggered back to his hindlegs. “You insolent little… brat” he scowled as he tried to hit me with a volley of punches that I simply dodged effortlessly. Sombra started to snarl louder as he couldn’t even hit me once.
I swung my hand up and caught his hoof then snapped it back, busting his wrist. He screamed in pain and I released him. He staggered back and looked to me with furious eyes. “I’m going… to kill you… very-very painfully” he threatened. I yawned and gave him an expressionless look. “Yeah okay. I’ll wager fifty bucks on not gonna happen” I chuckled.
He grew irritated from my insults and charged at me again, cradling his busted wrist close to his body. He threw a punch with his good arm. I leaned my body to the side then caught his arm and twisted it. He yelped as I held him in a hold that he could not break free from. I brought my elbow down on his exposed elbow joint and snapped his elbow in the wrong direction.
He screeched in pain and staggered back, both forelegs painfully injured. I stepped forwards but he caught me off guard as he shot me with a powerful blast of purple energy that catapulted me through several walls and into the throne room.
Rubble was clustered over top of me but I simply sat up like the heavy clusters of stone weighed nothing. I stood up and brushed the dust and grit from my clothes then waited for Sombra. I quickly figured that he’d be retreating somewhere where I wouldn’t be able to find him.
I brought my index and middle finger up to my forehead and concentrated to find a source of enrgy close by with his output of strength. I found a source and quickly teleported myself to its location.
I found myself in the caverns just below Canterlot. Diamonds flashed and reflected images. Sombra let out a horrid laugh
and his voice echoed throughout the caverns. Suddenly his image appeared on nearly every diamond wall around me. “Fool, now you are in my house. You will not leave here alive” he laughed maniacally. I looked at the diamonds and focused my mind. My senses sharpened and I sensed his power.
I quickly shot my right hand up and fired a single powerful blast of blue energy that destroyed a diamond wall, revealing a large opening into another cavern room. I quickly rushed over but as I did Sombra flew out of nowhere and tackled me into the ground.
I grabbed him by the back of the neck and tossed him away then spun to my feet. I looked in fascination as I realized that both his wounds were healed. He noticed my curiosity. “Like the healing factor of evil lords huh? It’s the up side to having a dark soul” he laughed.
“Too bad that the cons outweigh the pros” I told him. “Maybe for YOU!” he yelled as he flew forwards and threw a powerful punch at me. I tilted my body to one side and completely missed his attack then slammed my fist into his gut. He gasped in pain as he fell to the ground. I brought my knee up in a powerful strike that connected with his nose and flipped him onto his back.
He tilted his head forwards and blasted me with a purple beam of energy that sent me hurtling into a diamond wall. The force of the impact cracked the diamonds and made spider webbed crack formations. I fell to the ground but landed on my feet, balancing my landing with my hands.
“Come on Sombra. Don’t tell me this is your limit” I chuckled. “Yes… but don’t worry, we will soon be evened out” he sneered as his horn flared. His head began to shake a little as the power created from his spell sent vibrations down his body. “You look like a shaking poodle” I chuckled. “Laugh while you still can fool. For it will be the last bit of fun you will ever have” he laughed then his horn shot out a beam that connected with a large diamond at the top of the caverns.
Dark purple lights flashed about and illuminated the caverns in a dark purple haze that surrounded our bodies. “Cool… a disco ball” I commented as he flew at me. I paid him no mind as I effortlessly dodged his punches without even looking at him. “Fool… STOP MAKING A MOCKERY OUT OF ME!” he roared. “Fine, but only after you stop acting like a four year old who’s not getting his way” I teased.
“Insolence will not be tolerated!” he yelled but I slammed my knee into his stomach and he gasped in pain as he fell to his knees once again. “God don’t you ever shut up” I said as I stepped back from him and continued to examine the giant dark crystal at the top of the cave. It was very suspicious and made me very concerned about its very presence.
I began to quickly dodge his attacks as I continued to look at the crystal then simply figured that if it was really that bad then I’d just have to destroy it later but at the current time I had a temper tantrum stallion to deal with.
I slammed a punch into his face that knocked him back but he quickly recovered and flew back at me. We began to throw furious punches and kicks at each other. Each strike I hit him with seemed to be devastating but he’d simply miraculously recover like it wasn’t a very powerful strike at all.
I slammed him in the gut but then quickly cupped my hands together and fired a powerful energy blast into him at point blank range. The blast turned into a beam that blew his body into smoldering ashes. “Looks like someone over estimated themselves” I chuckled but then his ashes formed together and his body reformed. “Eh!? What the hell!?” I blurted out as he chuckled. “Looks like someone under estimated his opponent. You only killed me before because I wasn’t at my full power. No-pony has ever seen my full power and lived to tell the story. When I am fully powered up I can easily regenerate, even from full body disintegration” he told me.
I rolled my eyes then few at him and we continued to hammer each other with punches and kicks. Even though I had easily out matched him before I was starting to feel exhausted, like every hit I received was doing more fatigue than it should. Every punch or kick felt like it was sapping way more energy than it should require.
I stopped and lifted my hand then blasted his face with a powerful energy beam that blew away part of his head. My energy was starting to deplete faster than I was expecting, maybe this whole fusion thing zapped power faster than usual. I had to finish this and I had to finish it quick.
I quickly powered up to my full power, electricity crackled about and my powerful aura of energy surrounded my entire body as it pushed gusts of winds outwards. I yelled as I flew forwards but just before I connected a punch with Sombra I sped my speed up so that it would appear that I disappeared and reappeared behind Sombra.
I slammed a powerful round house kick into his side that sent his body crashing into the ground but as always he quickly recovered. I floated backwards then began to throw a volley of punches into the air along with kicks. The strikes looked more like blurs of motions due to the intense speeds. “Would you look at this, I’m setting records right here” I said foolishly.
He gave me a curious look as he watched me attack the air. He dropped his guard. I swung my hand out and blew small slices of air so fast that each bit of air I threw was like a tiny razor blade. Several wind blades cut him deeply and he winced in pain as his skin cut open in large gashes. “Oops, guess I don’t know my own strength yet” I chuckled.
“Enough of these games!” Sombra roared as he launched a volley of powerful energy blasts at me. I let the blasts collide into me and simply stood there in that exact same spot until the smoke from the blasts cleared. “Hey that felt pretty nice, think you could do my back?” I asked as I spun around. He growled then sped forwards as he tried to impale me with his horn.
I back flipped and landed on his back. “Huh, guess not” I said as I blasted him in the back of the head with one of my own blue energy blasts. He crashed forwards but I floated down gracefully and landed peacefully on the ground. He staggered to his hooves then swiveled to look at me.
I extended my hand out and motioned for him to come over. He curled his lips and gritted his teeth. “Come here boy, come here. Who’s a good boy, yes you’re a good boy. Sit down and I’ll give you a treat” I said tauntingly. “CUT THAT OUT” he bellowed as he flew towards me as fast as he could. I lept over him and flipped in the air as I slammed a kick into the side of his face and sent him tumbling away but before he hit the ground I shot him with another energy blast.
He crashed into the ground violently and it took a little longer than usual for him to stand up. “Oh, that looked like it hurt… you’re taking a little longer than usual to get up” I told him.
He flew at me again but I powered up further and the gusts of energy propelled him back. I forced an output of strength even though it would hinder my speed, but at the moment I would still be faster than him. My energy seemed to be draining even quicker now.
“Impressive, you’re quite powerful” Sombra commented but I flew forwards and slammed a knee into his gut before flying into the air. I stuck my air out and a powerful blue beam shot through him, holding him in place. He growled angrily as he tried to escape the beam of energy that now impaled him.
“What’s the matter, I wish you would’ve taken me more seriously” I said then flung my arm upwards, the blade of energy following my motion and taking Sombra’s now impaled body with it.
I swung the blade out to the side and his body slide off the energy blade, flying through the air. I cocked the blade to one side then furiously cut him into tiny pieces in a blur of motion. I retracted the energy blade into one powerful energy sphere in my palms then blasted it into the many pieces of Sombra's body.
His body vaporized and it took several minutes for him to reform. He floated in the air, still moving quite painfully. “Jeeze that looked like it hurt… you’re uhm… missing some” I told him and he looked to see a large chunk of his torso and gut missing. He growled then quickly fused the rest of his body together. I yawned, “Well this is getting boring, it’s time to finish this” I said.
“Fool, I won’t be beaten so easily. I’m more powerful than you could ever hope to be” he told me. “You bad guys never get it. It takes more than power and strength to win a fight” I chuckled. “Yes I know. But apparently you don’t know that” he chuckled. “Right, so that’s why I’ve been knocking your clock this entire fight” I laughed.
“Fool, the fight isn’t over yet and you’ve been foolish enough to allow your energy to be stolen away right under your nose the entire battle… well more like from right above your head” he chuckled. I gasped as I looked to the giant crystal at the top of the cavern and I realized he was right. My energy had been stolen away this entire match. So that’s what the giant crystal did, it stole my energy and healed Sombra during this entire battle. Well I’d soon fix that.
I cupped my hands and charged a blast but suddenly my sphere of energy simply puffed away. My hair faded back into its original state and both my aura and muscle mass disappeared. I gasped but Sombra soon flew forwards and slammed a powerful kick into my chest that sent me crashing through a crystal wall and into another cavern.
“It’s… I’m too weak… I’ll have to change back” I muttered as I realized that if I continued on like this I would most likely be killed. Then Clare would be killed and sent back to heaven but Nightmare Moon would be sent to the void. I just hope that when I defuse they both had their powers back. My mind flashed then I lost consciousness.

Clare:
I gasped as we both separated. I still retained my powers but I could only remember parts of what had happened. I looked over to Moon who I suspected was thinking the same thing.
I heard Sombra laugh as he entered the cavern. I looked over to Moon as I presented my earring. “Should we fuse again or” I began but suddenly a blast struck the earring out of my palm and disintegrated it.
“You think that I’d let you have that sort of advantage over me again. Ha, you’re stupider than I thought” he laughed. We both stood up, Moon was standing on her hindlegs. “Well I guess we could do this the old fashion way” I suggested. She turned to me and held out her hoof. I brought out my hand. “Rock paper scissors” we both said then brought out our choice. I showed scissors and she showed rock. “Ha, looks like I get to go first” she said with a tone of delight in her voice.
“Oh no fair” I complained. “Well if you wanted first go then you should’ve chosen paper” she said as she turned to face Sombra. I slapped myself in the head as I realized that she could only do rock and that she would’ve been unable to beat me if I had chosen paper, even if she wanted to do scissors. I smirked as she stepped forwards to fight Sombra, “Touché”.
