Clare:

As I rose to my feet I thought about only one thing, one very simply thing: Chrysalis. With my right arm still behind my back I opened my hand and focused my mind on Nightmare Moon’s lightsaber. The saber hilt flew into my palm and I quickly activated the saber and swung it at Chrysalis.

She swung out her own green lightsaber and blocked my swing. “Impossible… you were under my complete control. How did you escape” she hissed angrily. I chuckled, “You really think your petty mind control would work on me, the great Night Guardian?” I asked, like her mind control was some sort of childish joke.

She lept back and swung her saber blade at me. I blocked her blade with my own and we began to have a furious duel. The saber blades looked like blurs of motion and light as they swung through the air and collided with each other.

I lept back and shot my palm out, blasting her with a push of magic that sent her body hurtling backwards. She flipped through the air and landed on her hooves but still slid back some. She rose to her hind legs and gently swung her saber to and fro, the saber blade cutting slices into the tile floor as the blade touched the floor tiles.

I readied myself in a defensive stance and as she drew ever closer I went on the offensive. I swung my blade at her and she quickly deflected the swing but I cocked my wrist and swiveled the blade back towards her. We quickly began to swing the sabers at each other at lightning speeds, the blades humming and chiming as they connected.

Suddenly Chrysalis shot her hoof at me and blasted me with a force of invisible magical energy. I was sent tumbling across the ground, my saber hilt skidding out of my grip and across the floor.

Chrysalis lept through the air and tried to drive the saber through me but I rolled out of the way just as she drove the burning blade into the floor. I rolled to my feet and blasted her with a magical surge of energy that slammed her against a wall. I grabbed the saber hilt in my magic grip and flung it into my hand. I activated the saber and lept through the air but just before I connected my strike, she grabbed hold of me with her magic and tossed me across the room.

She once again lept through the air and just as she was about to impale me I brought both hands up in front of me and propelled her back with a blue magical blast. She bounced and skidded along the ground and quickly came to a stop as she flipped herself to her hooves.

I lept across the atrium in one leap, using my magic to propel myself further, and sliced my saber blade at her. She blocked the blade with her own and we grinded our lightsabers together. She kicked me in the gut and tried to get a cheap shot on me but I leaned away from the swings, looking like a naked hula dancer.

I lept over her and tried to cut her from behind but she swung the blade over her head and defended her back as my blade swung at her. She spun around while our blades were still connected and we began to fight again. She kicked me back and I fell to the ground, my saber falling out of my grip and clattering away out of my reach.

She was about to make another pounce when suddenly a heavy beam of energy slammed into her body and crashed her through the stone walls. I looked over to see Nightmare Moon standing, somewhat staggeringly. “Clare… your earrings” she called out. “Yeah what about them?” I asked as I quickly began to rush over to her.

“Do you know what they are?” she asked. I shrugged “Alicorn amulets err earrings” I replied casually. “Do you know what they do?” she asked and I nodded. “Yeah, they give the wearer incredible powers” I told her and she sighed. “Give me the one on your left ear” she said.

I wanted to slap myself, of course. If she had one, although the powers wouldn’t be as incredible without the other, we would both have massive amounts of power. “Right, with both of us wearing one, we’ll be able to mop the floor against Sombra and Chrysalis” I said positively.

“No” she told me, I scrunched my nose. “What, no? What do you mean no?” I asked. She let out a sigh. “Alicorn earrings are very rare in the fact that usually both earrings are never together. But if two users are in close proximity, each wearing an earring on opposing ears with the earring facing the correct direction, the two users will be merged together forming a warrior of incredible powers” she informed me.

My jaw dropped, was she telling me what I think she was telling me. “Uhhm…” was all I managed. Chrysalis was breaking out of the rubble and I could hear her but I was still awestruck and dumbfounded. “Just give me the earring on your left ear” she yelled out. “But… how long does the fusion last?” I asked. “Until we decide to break the bond, BUT THAT DOESN’T MATTER, JUST TOSS ME THE EARRING” she yelled as Chrysalis broke free from the rubble.

“Okay-okay-okay, jeeze” I said as I unlatched the left earring and tossed it to her. “Like that right?” I asked. Chrysalis burst from the rubble and flew towards us. Moon looked up to me just as she latched the earring on her left ear. “Thank you, Clare” she said with a smile.

I felt my body begin to slid towards her like she was a magnet and I was a chunk of heavy metal. But she released her footing and flew towards me. My feet slipped out from under me and I flew towards her. Our bodies slammed together, but surprisingly it didn’t hurt. The Alicorn earrings flashed as they pulled together and a bright light flashed, then I lost consciousness. I think.

Third person:

A bright sphere of energy formed and blew out heavy gusts of winds. Chrysalis was knocked back from the heavy winds as the magical sphere erupted into a bright flash that blinded her. The blast blew out large chunks of the floor and a large crater was formed underneath a single figure.

A haze of dark blue illuminated off the figure, which had the body features of a human: legs, arms, hands, fingers, yet it had the fur and mane style of a pony. Its fur was a dark hazy blue, with a shiny blue mane that sparkled brilliantly. On its flank stood a cutie mark, an atonement to its power. A crescent moon with two handguns crossed behind it. He wore a duster coat over top of blue shadow elite armour that protected his chest and torso.

“What… what are you?” Chrysalis gasped. He, because it had the facial distinction of Clare, looked up to Chrysalis with blue cat like eyes. His eyes flashed, “I am your worst nightmare… but I suppose you can call me Moon Warrior” he said. Chrysalis snickered. “What sort of stupid name is that, Moon Warrior? Sounds like something out of a kids TV show” she laughed.

Moon Warrior gritted his teeth. His muscles tensed and expanded as he ascended. His dark blue hair stood up and went spikey as a powerful blue aura flashed around him. His duster coat flapped about and his muscles could clearly be seen through his baggy coat sleeves. Moon Warrior yelled out as he ascended and his power increased dramatically.

“Please, you’re pathetic and weak. But at least this way I can hit two birds with one stone” she laughed then flew towards him. As she approached Moon Warrior he simply side stepped and hammered her in the gut with a powerful knee that sent her crumpled to the ground and gasping for air.

Moon Warrior took a few steps back then just waited for the changeling queen to rise. She staggered to her hooves. “This is insanity… you can’t be more powerful than me… it’s impossible” she scowled then let out a yell as she rushed at him. Moon Warrior lept into the air and flipped over her as he slammed a round house kick into the back of her head. She stumbled from the force of the kick and crashed into the ground face first.

Moon Warrior landed gracefully then swiveled and once again waited for Chrysalis to arise. She snarled as she painfully got to her hooves. “How… how is this possible… you can’t be this powerful… nothing is more powerful than love!” she screamed. Moon Warrior snickered. “Your love is fake. If it was true love that powered you than you’d be truly as powerful as you think you should be. But it’s not. Your love is fake and unjust, just like you. And now I shall end you” Moon Warrior told her then flew forwards at subsonic speeds.

He plowed her in the chest with a powerful punch than made her gasp and fall back. He gracefully planted both feet on the ground and let out a disgusted snarl. “Get up, you have caused enough tyranny that you deserve no mercy” Moon Warrior boomed. “If I deserve no mercy than you should just hit me while I’m down” she laughed painfully.

Moon Warrior grabbed her by the back of the neck and threw her into the air then quickly flew after her. He flew faster than the eye could see and appeared behind her then slammed a powerful double hand strike to her back that sent her careening back into the ground with a large crash.

Chrysalis coughed violently as she staggered up to her knees but was too weak to get to her hooves. Blood dripped from several wounds and as she coughed again, blood came up through her spit. Moon Warrior landed beside her. “Your reign of terror has come to an end your majesty. Now feel the power of the moon” he said in a valiant tone and cupped his hands together.

As he took a step back with his right foot he cocked his elbows and swung his hands to his right side. “Goodbye dark empress, your evil ways stop here” he said but just before he could finish the technique required to launch the blast, a beam of purple energy struck him from the side and sent him skidding away.

Sombra stepped into the room. “You’re right. This will be her final moments. But I shall be her executer” he laughed. Chrysalis looked to him in fear. “No, please your greatness NOOO!” she screamed with utter fear in her voice.

Sombra’s horn flashed and a beam of green energy struck Chrysalis. Her body was encased in purple magic. Then she vanished and the energy returned to Sombra. His body tensed and his muscles flexed violently. He let out a horrifying roar as his muscle mass shredded his apparel, leaving only his cape which he soon ripped off and tossed away.

“I may not be able to feed evil and fear energy from her anymore but her powers have supplemented me enough to reach my full powers. Now behold the power of the dark side” Sombra announced.

“Okay Darth Vader” Moon Warrior laughed as he stepped forwards. “Hmm quipy comebacks from… the pitiful creature” he laughed. Moon Warrior flexed and quickly ascended to his second transformation state. His hair became more rigid and his aura flashed outwards as it became more jagged with electricity coursing about.

Moon Warrior and Sombra stood there in the atrium, the two most powerful entities to ever roam the universe, now faced each other. “So, let us see who is the better. A creature who needs the combined strength of two or a single powerful being” Sombra laughed. “Funny, I clearly remember you needing to absorb Chrysalis to attain your power. Probably several others as well because you were terribly weak when Clare killed you the first time. Actually technically the second time because the element bearers killed you the first time” Moon Warrior laughed insultingly.

Sombra snarled. “Enough of these petty insults. Let us battle to the death” he scowled. Moon Warrior rolled his eyes. “Yes, let’s” he said with a lack of enthusiasm in his voice.

Do you guys and gals as readers think Moon Warrior was a cool name or did you think it was kind of 'Meh' cause when I was reading it I thought 'Meh, needs to be cooler and more kick ass' but Moon Warrior was all I could think of.
