9:50 am, Everfree Forest

"Oww...my head, where am I?" I said, while climbing up from the soft grass on the ground.

I looked around, my chainsaw was lying beside me, as well as Spike.

"Spike! Wake up, Spike!" I shook the baby dragon, trying to wake him up.

"Argh, Twilight, I can't move... It seems like I just broke my knee on landing.." He said while covering his bruised left knee with his hands.

I picked up the chainsaw. "By the way, where is the princess...?" I said, while looking around and scanning the area.

I can hardly see under all these dark. The thick canopy above just completely blocked every single beam of sunlight.

"Twilight, where are you? I can't see a thing...OW!" Spike said, as he tried to get up, resulting in pain from the knee.

"Hold on, I will make a light source." I said, as I started to accumulate magic on my horn, and within several seconds, a steady beam of magic who was glowing in a purple aura was formed, gradually lighting up the place.

"Much better, right, Spike?"

"Uh, yeah, a bit... Hey, was that a zombie groaning?"

"Nope, I didn' hear anyth-"

"GRRRRRR!"

"Okay, I can hear it. It IS a zombie's groan. I guess we should move out of this place quickly, and..you really can't move, right?"

"Ah, yes. As you can see, my knee hurts."

"Fine," I said, "Just hop on my back, and be sure to hold tight, I am going with my back legs. I ain't got any time to find you back on my way."

"Got it!" He managed to stand up from the ground, and climbed onto my back.

"Alright, let's move." I started the chainsaw, and ran towards the closest source of light.

"Oh hell, where could the princess be?" Spike asked, still moaning about his injuries.

"I don't know either, but we got to move. It's always better than staying here doomed."

I keep on moving in the dark woods, with the dim magic aura to barely light up the way.

"YEAHHHHHHH! WELCOME TO THE EVERFREE FOREST, YOU ZOMBIE-HUNTING SLEAZE!"

"Whoa! Who is that guy?" Spike said in surprise.

"He seemed to be one of the princess's assistants, and was possessed or something..."

I said, when suddenly, we heard the sound of breaking bushes, and followed by the place we're standing being lit up with sunlight.

"Sunlight! Finally, now we can see-"

"SPIKE! WATCH OUT!"

I said, as I suddenly saw a few red-glowing giant letters going through the canopy and falling to us.

"Hold tight!" I yelled, as I roughly dodged through a few letters. The letters whom missed just simply hit into the ground and breaks into invisible particles.

"Fuck! What are these things?!" Spike yelled, while grabbing my back tight.

"I don't know, but it must be hurt if we got hit by 'em!"

I managed to dodge almost all of the letters, but unfortunately, I was not fast enough to dodge the very LAST one.

As it was about to hit me, I lifted the chainsaw and give a perfect-timed swing, cutting through and shattering the giant 'E' letter.

"Whew, that was close." I said, panting heavily.

"NICE MOVE, BITCH, AND YOU'RE GONNA LOVE THIS! AW-YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

The voice yelled again, and this time, the yell is really loud, causing the ground to shake.

It shook so violently that I almost can't stand still, plus thousands of leaves from the tall trees being shaken off.

Then, all of a sudden, the dirt on the ground rumbled, just like something is climbing out from it.

Yes, something IS climbing out from the ground - zombies.

Flesh eaters, fresh from the deep soil underneath.

"Well, at least we can see clearly." I hold the chainsaw tight, looking at the emerging zombies, waiting for the movements to decapitate them in a row.

"Bitch!" A blurry voice said from the herd.

"Huh? They can talk?! How come?" Spike said in surprise.

"They could, but with limited intellegence and having a really miserable attitude." I said quietly, "I'm already get used to it."

"But this is so irritating!"

"Don't be mad, as we shouldn't- to these stupids. We gotta save up our anger for the big boss up ahead.." I lifted the running chainsaw.

"I'm gonna munch your brain!"

For the next second, the zombie's head were already sliced vertically into half, as well as its body.

The blood splashed out quickly in a large amount, forming a rainbow under the shining sunlight.

"WOW! Why is there rainbows formed everytime you slice a zombie into half?"

"It 's MAGIC."

I said, while cutting the front legs off a zombie pony.

More and more of them are coming out from the ground, starting to fill up the narrow area of forest with noisy groans and insulting phrases.

"Okay,enough for all these douchebags! Time to die!" I said, crouching onto the ground, then spinning myself quickly, also with the chainsaw, cutting down the zombie ponies's legs quickly.

Then, without doubt, I quickly shoot up from the ground, doing a few somersaults while grabbing my glowing chainsaw tight, further slicing the grounded zombies into half again.

I keep on repeating these moves, and after slaying over hundreds of zombies, I found that they were spawning continuously, and seemed to be more tougher and stronger, that I might not be able to hold them off with myself only.

"We should keep pushing forward, Twilight, don't spend much time on them. We gotta find the princess!"

"I agree, let's move then."I said, then cutting a zombie pony who was blocking my way into half.

VNNNNNNNN, "Back off!"

"Finally, a place with no trees!"

I said, on arriving to an area almost without trees, just a piece of shallow grassland.

Strangely, the place have NO zombies. Not even their spooky groaning and irritating bad language were heard.

"Odd, I can't see any zombies in sight..." Spike said as he was looking around on my back.

"Me either. This is strange..."

Sun shining, birds chirping, grass shaking...all these peaceful moments are too weird.

"YOU FUCKIN' BITCH, TAKE THIS!"

Oh Celestia,that's really so rude. I swear if I could find him I am going to make him shut up forever.

Just as i about to move across this huge piece of grassland, I sensed something.

It feels like something is coming towards us quickly.

And it comes really quickly, right from behind me.

"Twilight! Watch -"

As Spike was going to yell and remind me. I quickly jumped from the ground, doing a backflip and dodged the coming object.

It lands and hit the ground hardly, causing a few shakes.

I looked at its back. A pair of bat wings, a scorpion's tail, lion-like hair, and most importantly, large rips all over the body and exposed, rotten flesh.

Could it be..?

It turned around, facing me with a vicious look, proving that my guessing is correct.

A Manticore. Zombified Manticore.

Alright, I knew all these thing are going to be hard and tricky, but a manticore....I don't know how to cook it!

Every kind of zombies have their specific way to cook. Like normal zombie ponies, just give them the maximum physical damage, especially in the head, then they can be easily killed. For this kind of giant, zombified wild beasts, I had never faced them before.

Boy, I hope Princess Celestia was here.

Without a moment for me to think, the zombie Manticore quickly ran towards me, howling, waving its paws, about to injure me badly.

Of course, I will not let him do so.

I waved my chainsaw and stood still with my back hooves, ready to stab the gigantic monster with it.

*VNNNNNNNN!* *CRASH!*

"Argh!" I yelled in pain, while being knocked back a few miles away from where I was standing.

"Twilight!" Spike aside said, he just jumped off from my back as I told him to do so.

The chainsaw was still in my hooves, but got the chains stuck with some fur and flesh.

I stood up in pain, looking back at the zombie Manticore. Its abdomen were completely ripped open, exposing its rotting flesh and guts, as well as the broken-dam like flowing blood.

"Goddamn it!" I tried to use my magic to remove the stuff that got my chainsaw stuck.

The Manticore ignored its injuries and jumped towards me, even more angrily. And I didn't noticed that.

I was too busy concentrating my mind on cleaning the chainsaw, didn't noticed Spike's warning fast enough.

When I reaised it, the manticore was just a mile or two away from me.

As I pulled out my pom-poms and ready to give it a stunning attack in the head, it suddenly accelerates and speeded up so quickly, directly bumping into me with a loud bang.

Again, I was knocked far away for another few miles. This time, more serious injuries : a black bruise on my forehead, tears and cuts all over my legs and hooves, and the most important and disgusting thing, that crush just transferred some of that Manticore's disgusting aroma and blood to me, stained my purple coat, and some fell onto my hair.

Though I looked so messy, I ain't got any time to clean myself up. The Manticore shot it's paws so quickly, along with its deadly sharp claws, trying to rip me into pieces. He seemed to know that I already took some damage from him, forcing my movement to slow down a lot.

Great, now I am hurt, my chainsaw was out of order, and an instant-kill monster is fighting me, a one side-down fight.

I can only barely dodge his attacks, since the sudden pain brought by all those injuries greatly slowed me down. And if I don't, the sharp claws will surely stab into my eyes and further killing me.

I need some help, but who? Spike is too young and weak to fight, and Princess Celestia is missing..

As I leaped and dodged another deadly swing, something suddenly come up into my mind.

A spell, whom Princess Celestia taught me to use when I was in extreme danger, situations like mutated zombies, or too much enemies that I couldn't hold off, I am badly injured, something like this, I can use this spell to save myself. In which it will heal and give me tripled power on all weapons for a short moment of time. And the spell have some limits to use, like I must execute enough enemies, and I can only use it once every twenty minutes.

Now, it should be the suitable moment of time to use this spell.

I started to concentrate power at my horn, and speeding up the process as fast as I could, before that Manticore ever hit me again.

When magic starting to flow and becoming stronger and stronger, the pain brought by the injuries are seemed to be starting to reduce, and a sudden feeling of my front hooves and legs being temporarily overpowered and strengthened.

Once it's fully complete, I was soon covered in a flashing coat of rainbow colored mist. I can feel that my energy is being quickly restored, even break through its climax.

"Eat it!" I yelled, and now is my turn to attack. I run straight towards the Manticore,lifting my chainsaw, and horizontally cut into its neck.

Surprisingly, I don't know whether its neck is really that weak, or my chainsaw is really that powerful, with one single, light slash, I cut the Manticore' head down. Clean, swift and quickly. Then, its corpse disappeared into beautiful pink sparkles.

"Amazing! This is awesome, Twilight!" Spike yelled in excitement.

"This is not done yet, Spike." I said, looking at the dusting ground with zombies climbing out.

"Oh my Celestia, you can't handle this alone, Twilight!"

"Why couldn't I? Before it's gone, let's try out more of this great spell."

The zombies spawned quickly, surronding us in a circle, there were total a hundred of them.

I wasn't afraid of them. In fact, I am quite excited now, can't wait to cut all of their heads down in a single swing.

They started to run at me, with unknown groans, roars and screams, didn't even realize that their death is well nigh.

"Yeah, come on, come on, come on, come on!" I said, waiting for the best moment of attack, calculating about which angle should I swing my chainsaw to deal to maximum damage to these douchebags.

Screw that, I ain't got time to think about that. I'll go straight anyway!

I  stood still, then hold my breath, until a moment that the zombies getting really close, then I turned standing with a single back leg, spinning circles with my flaming-bladed chainsaw, cutting heads down one by one, as they just ran to me recklessly without thought.

Quickly, all the zombies were terminated, and the effect of the spell ended at the right exactly same time.

I guess my suddenly-extended strength and instant-kill ability ended when the spell is gone. My injuries got all fixed, and I feel like my energy is fully recharged, making me feeling a lot less exhausted.

"If it wasn't this spell, I could be totally dead right now! OMG, when we meet Princess Celestia again I gotta thank her so much."

"Speaking of the princess, I just saw her flew across in the sky."

"Really? Which direction did she went to?"

"Uh...I think she went North." Spike said and pointed at the northern woods. Behind the trees and tall bushes, I can barely see a few stone pillars pointing high from the ground.

"That's the direction to the former castle's ruins..why is she going there?"

"Wait, Twilight, I remembered that, when I saw the letters flying towards us, they were coming Fromm the exact direction of the ruins. Could it be, the princess is heading to one of her assistants?"

"You're right..I think we should go there to meet her. Hop on, Spike, we're moving."
