Dark Alleyways

After you and Dash went out to eat, you returned back to the dorms. Rarity was waiting at your door, though.

"There you are." Rarity looked at you, then Dash, "Rainbow, dear. Private conversation."

Dash then knocked on Fluttershy's door, and as it got opened she walked in. There was some simple chatting from the room, as Rarity crossed her arms.

"Yes Rarity?" You asked, smiling falsely.

"I am here to inform you that Braeburn asked me to the Nightmare Night dance. You will not be taking the attention away from me." She sneered, her hands clenching to fists.

"Okay." You unlocked your door and walked right in, Rarity biting her lip while walking away.

You decided you should take a nap, and you drifted to sleep very quickly. You woke to the bouncing of three little girls, shouting.

"TALENT CRUSADERS JUMPERS!" They all yelled, loud enough to hurt your eardrums.

"Girls. Calm down." You put your hands up, stopping Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle from hopping. You told them all to sit down, "So, how are your sisters?"

"Rarity still won't talk to me." Sweetie Belle huffed.

"Applejack's doin' dandy!" Applebloom said, and Scootaloo shrugged

"I don't have any siblings." She said.

"That's alright, I say we go outside somewhere. Relax for a bit." Hanging out with the three girls would be terrible, that's why you were planning on bringing Dash.

"To the park?" Sweetie Belle said, then they huddled and came up with an answer.

"TO THE PARK!" They all shouted.

Once you got to the park, Scootaloo started swinging around the bar, Applebloom mushing together sand and building out of blocks, and Sweetie Belle on the swings while singing. You just sat there because Dash declined going to the park, and you promised the girls. It was so boring, you actually fell asleep. You woke up to the girls yet again, but they were poking you with a long stick.

"Is he dead?" Scootaloo poked you again.

"Ah don't think so."

"I sure hope not..." Sweetie squeaked.

You sat up and yawned and looked at your watch, 2:00pm. You were there for around two hours, "I'm alive."

"Good because we wanna to back to the college now." Scootaloo tossed the stick over to a tree.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go." You walked along the path that led to a sidewalk, which eventually led to the college. Sweetie was still singing, and it was beautiful. Not as beautiful as Dash's, but close.

"Airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars, I could really use a wish right now. Wish right now. Wish right now..."

"What do you wish for, Sweetie?" You surprised her, making her jump.

"I wish that my sister would let me help her design clothes." She smiled, then continued singing.

"I would wish for a brand new scooter." Scootaloo made a face, imagining her current one and shivering.

"Ah like mah life the way it is." Applebloom smiled, "Ah don't believe in that wishy-wish stuff."

You start murmuring, not loud enough for the three girls to hear, "I would wish that I could know if Dash likes me..."

Sweetie Belle and Applebloom knocked on room 2E's door, waving bye to Scootaloo who was following you. You opened the door for her, and Dash was playing more CoD. She died multiple times and her team was losing by little.

"Oh come on!" She angrily groaned. She was muted on Skype.

"Hey Dash." You said, Scootaloo frantically waving.

"Yeah, hi." She responded, obviously focused. She quickly unmuted herself, talking yet again, "Blossomforth, there's a guy trailing us. Kill him before he notices we see him and kills us."

"Mkay." She responded.

"DASHIE! I SEE YOU!" A new voice slammed through Dash's computer, the character on the Xbox jumping around.

"Pinkie... Just shoot people and don't let them shoot you." Of course it's Pinkie.

"BUT I SEE YOU!" She screamed again, "HEY I'M DEAD."

"Yup you're dead." Dash killed someone, and Blossomforth killed the guy following them.

"Oopsie! I just shot someone. Is that bad?" Pinkie said, making Blossomforth sigh and facepalm.

"Nope, continue. We're tied now." Dash widely smiled.

"Dash! Heads up!" It was Dylan, "Wait, headshot!"

"FUUUUUU-" Dash started, because Dylan just killed her.

"We win! You lose, sucker!" Dylan shouted, continuously pressing mute on and off while cheering.

Dash hung up her Skype call and slammed her laptop shut, turning around and throwing the remote at you. All while giving a rage shout.

"Well then." You snottily said, "Right back at'cha."

Dash clasped her hands over her mouth, running over to you, "Oh my Celestia, are you okay? I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you."

"It didn't hit me-" You were pushed aside by Dash.

"My favourite controller!" She picked it up, it broken into pieces, "Well. I'll buy a new one. Oh, and are you alright?"

"I am so joyful that you are sincerely worried." You said, watching as Scootaloo went to grasp Dash's leg. Again.

"Scootaloo... When are you leaving?" Dash said, annoyed by the child glued to her leggings.

"Tomorrow at dinner." Scootaloo looked up at Dash.

"You wanna learn to game, kid?" Dash smiled at her.

"YES!" She let go and ran to the couch, somersaulting over one end to the next.

"And you. You're playing too." Dash poked you, hard. Ow.

After teaching Scootaloo how to play CoD and Halo, you played against her because she refused to go against Dash. You won the first game, even though you were going easy on Scoots. You barely tried on the second game, so she won. Since she was getting into the flow of things, you bumped up to actually trying. Surprisingly, she won, getting a high five from Dash. You and her played on a multiplayer game with other people, and Dash was Skyping her 'friends' because you were playing CoD.

"Dash, so wait. You aren't playing? Scootaloo's playing?" Blossomforth said, confused.

"Yup." Dash answered.

A few hours went by of you and Scoots playing games, Dash yelling at you for failing and Dash falling asleep multiple times. When Scoots yawned, you knew it was late enough to stop playing. She got her clothes like the night when she arrived, and changed in the bathroom. Dash quickly changed when Scoots was changing. When Scootaloo came out, you hopped in with your pajamas in your hands, and your pajamas on when you exited. It technically was only 9:00pm, but it takes you about one hour and thirty minutes to fall asleep... 10:30pm is reasonable.

You slipped into bed and fluffed your pillow, relaxing. Dash did the same, except slid under her covers. There was that flashlight again, and she did the same thing as before. Reading a book.

"Dash." You whispered, and she stuffed the book under her pillow and popped up.

"Yes?"

"What are you doing?" You replied.

"I'm... Trying to fall asleep. Duh." She slid half her face under her covers, attempting to hide her blush.

"Dash." You said with an annoyed tone, then got out of bed.

"What?"

You attempted to pick up her pillow, but she pushed down on it, "Let me see."

"No." She responded, now sitting on her pillow with her legs crossed.

"Alright then." You slid your hands under Dash and used all your strength to push her forwards, and it worked. She fell forwards, but stopped herself from hitting the bed using her arms. At that moment, you were looking under the pillow.

Dash turned around and went to slam down the pillow, but you had already pulled out a book titled 'Daring Do and The Pheonix Phantom', "I never knew you read."

"I-I don't!" She blushed, almost glowing.

"You answered a math question almost instantly, and you read." You tapped your chin, "You aren't such the jock you look like."

"Stop it!" She dived for the book, hugging it and then staring at you, "If you tell anyone, I will kill you."

"Don't worry, I won't." You genuinely say.

"Anyways. I only like this series." Dash said, stuffing her favourite book under her pillow. She placed her head down, "Goodnight, sweet dreams."

"G'night. Sweet dreams." You dropped to barely a audible voice, "Love you."

After a long night of you dreaming about Dash, you finally started to dream about something else. Candy. Mints, to be exact. But right then, your alarm went off. You sat up, not opening your eyes, and yawned.

"Mornin' Dash." Stretching, you turned your head to Dash's bed and opened your eyes. She wasn't there. There was a piece of paper, though.

You scrambled out of your bed, and plucked the note off Dash's bed. As you read it, your eyes widened over time. By the end, you gasped.

You like your roommate very much, yes?

Well, where is she now? Guess.

Dark and gloomy, long and narrow.

Now come find her before I find her bone marrow.

Dash..!

You scrambled your stuff together, took a quick shower, got dress and headed out the door to Ms. Cheerilee's Classroom. Yes, you didn't eat breakfast, but this was important. You burst through the door and saw a middle-aged female with very light pink hair.

"Dash... Gone... Bone marrow... Narrow..." You gasped, as you were running the whole time.

"Please sit down." She pointed to your desk, her fingernails painted to match her hair.

You saw another note on your desk, and ran over to it, Dash's life depending on it. Again, you read it over, making sure to get every last detail.

So you moved on, to your classrooms

Just be careful, because when midnight looms,

Skin will slice,

In somewhere in which there is many mice.

I have to skip class!

"Ms. Cheerilee!" You walked over to her, as most students were still piling in.

"Yes?" She turned around, facing you. She reached just your height, and smiled.

"My friend Rainbow Dash is in trouble. See?!" You showed her the note and she gasped.

"Well, it's important to go to school... But life is more important. Sadly, I cannot dismiss anyone to help you. So, you're on your own." She dropped her smile for a few seconds, "Good luck."

You grabbed your bag and walked out the door calmly, waiting a bit until you start running. The clues are mostly saying that Dash is in trouble, and she's in somewhere dark and rat-infested. As you exited the building, you saw another note on a pillar. Instinctively, you read it.

Going for the gold?

Better hurry up, time's getting old.

The streets of Maneroad have many alleys,

and no beautiful valleys.

I am in one of these choices and so is your friend,

By the way do you have any knifes you can lend?

Silly me, not being prepared.

Are you scared?

Very scared... I'm guessing it's in an alleyway. Alleyways... Alleyways...

Maneroad was the road across from Los Pegasus College, and it had three alleyways. You weren't gonna check all three, what if some creep was in one that Dash wasn't in? You got onto Maneroad and looked at the first stop-sign. To your luck, a note sat upon two-sided tape.

Maneroad is beautiful, isn't it?

Too bad the middle isn't lit.

Between one and three,

Can you find me?

Middle isn't lit... Yet, that's true. The shop in the middle of the street is never lit up. The number between one and three is two... Second alleyway? Maybe...

You walked across the street, and looked at your watch. It was took a while to find the clues, about two hours. It was lunchtime, and your stomach was growling, but you continued. The alley was very dark, and you could hear the scraping of metal against brick.

"Oh hello there, Dash's college friend. I don't need that lend. I found some knifes in this can, you might wanna relax and become a fan." A girl emerged from darkness, sharpening a knife. She pulled a string and a faded light bulb flickered on, lighting the alley up barely. Dash was in a chair with ropes wrapped around her waist and arms, her wrists tied together. In her mouth was a rope, twisted around the back of her head and tied. Her eyes were open and looking down, and shot upwards when she heard the girl rhyme towards you. You could see her eyes lighting up at the sight of you, which made you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

"I'll just take Dash and be on my way-" You saw Dash's eyes go wide and shaking of her head commenced, then the girls knife cut into Dash's pajama sleeve, giving Dash barely a cut. It still bled, though.

"Hey, no need for that!" You went to take the knife from her, as she repeated what she did before.

"Ah ah ah, do not get any closer. Unless you want to lose her." She applied a bit a pressure this time, cutting deeper. Dash didn't even wince. You saw a loose rope in range of your hand, and took one step. This caused the female to hold her knife to Dash's arm, giving a paper-cut worthy cut.

You stepped on the tip of the rope, and pulled from the top. Dash's hand and arm binds released, and she punched the girl across the face with her right hand, untying her legs with her other hand. The girl stumbled backwards and dropped her knife, desperately looking around for it. By the time she found the weapon, Dash had everything untied. The girl reached down to grab the knife, and Dash put her knee under the girls' nose, and her hand on the back of the almost bald head of her 'enemy'. She pushed with her hand and pushed up with her knee just as she had the right position, breaking the stranger's nose. As the killer grasped her nose, she swung her knife towards Dash. Dash bent backwards, and went down into a bridge. Another slice, Dash lifted up into a handstand. A final slice for this scene, Dash flipped back onto her feet. She twirled around and went behind the killer, Dash's arm around her neck while holding the hand with the knife in it close to the killer's neck.

"Ohai. I don't think we've formally met." Dash said, pulling her right knee up to hit the girl in the crotch. Dash's arm had little droplets of blood, but it didn't hurt her, so it was alright.

Dash stole the knife and threw it against the brick wall with a force that bent and unsharpened the blade. The killer was still being held, and then was dropped to the ground.

"Let's go." Dash said, walking back to the college.
