Our heroes found out that Neo Metal Sonic was pulling the strings behind the Badniks attacks,

Silver found out that Neo made a fortress on Angel Island to secure the Master Emerald and dares Sonic to face him knowing he would be powerless.

At Angel Island

"The Master Emerald. One of the most powerful gems in this world with the ability to nullified the Chaos Emeralds and rival the Mane 6 Rainbow Power. So I dare you, Heroes to stop me but in the end I will have the last laugh!" Neo laughed knowing victory is assured.

At the Resistance HQ, Sonic, and Twilight stood before the allies (Tails, Amy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Silver, Blaze, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Starlight Glimmer, Tangle, Whisper, Sunset Shimmer, Trixie. Tempest, Rouge, Shadow, the Chaotix, CMC, and Spike.) While an angry Knuckles paces around in the background.

"First things first, thank you all for coming so quickly." Twilight addressed.

"Yeah," Sonic joined in. "We're going to need all of you!

Knuckles proceeds to angrily inform everyone that Neo managed to take over Angel Island and turn it into a flying fortress. The robot also built an unknown object over the Master Emerald. "I should never left..." He facepalmed himself.

"You were helping us down here," Applejack consoles with him. "And now we're going to help you get home back. So what's the plan Twi?"

"This is the plan," Twilight started to explained. "This is a three team attack. Teams one and two will attack the shorelines and break the Egg Fleet's control of the Island. Team Three will confront Neo here. They'll secure the Master Emerald and rob of it's commander."

Without hesitation, Knuckles declares himself to be on the third team.

Blaze then offers a more direct approach: she suggests that she uses the Sol Emeralds to transform into Burning Blaze and fight Neo herself. However, Tails points out that the Master Emerald is able to neutralize the Chaos Emeralds and could do the same to the Sol Emeralds. Knuckles assures him that it cannot. Even so, Tails goes on saying that Neo could still copy Burning Blaze's bio-data which would only make matters worse. With this, Blaze heeds Tails' advice to stay away from Neo. Despite this, Twilight puts Blaze on team one as she believes Neo should not be anywhere near the shorelines. She then puts herself, Applejack, Knuckles, Rainbow Dash, and Sonic to confront Neo, meaning everyone else was on Team two.

Very much later on the Battleship.

"I really appreciate the you coming to help," Sonic was talking to Whisper. "I know crowds is not your thing, I'll give you some space and stay safe down okay?"

"You too," Whisper replied.

"I share the sentiment," Rouge talks to Shadow. "I didn't think you'd be for big team-up."

"I here for my own reasons," Shadow stated.

"Of course you are," Tempest said sarcastically and none of them noticed Whisper glaring at Shadow.

"Are you sure that one can be trusted," Trixie asked Amy.

"Whisper?" Amy wondered. "Sure! She certainly to keep her distance... it reminds me of certain Pegasus."

"I can only imagine," The silver-mane unicorn rolled her eyes.

In another room, Silver, Tangle, Sunset, CMC and everyone else, except that Pinkie and Charmy were making a house of cards were playing cards. During the game, Tangle craftily uses her tail to sneak cards away from Silver.

"C'mon! Just play a hand," Sweetie Belle suggested. "It take your mind off things."

"Thanks, sorry the island need me, I have no time for games," Knuckles refused.

"Suit yourself," Sweetie Belle sighed.

In the captain's room.

"How things are on the brig?" Twilight asked Tails as she, Sonic, Rainbow Dash enter the room.

"Smooth sailing." Tails replied. "What brings you guys here?"

"Too exiticed to hang around with everyone else," Sonic simply said. "We'll at the island any minute now and the best to be with my wingman."

"Thanks, we'll get through this."

"We always do."

Suddenly, the windshield of the aircraft is hit and cracked.

"And were having a nice moment," Rainbow said.

"Look like Neo is not taking any chances," Tails' quick observation, the entire Egg Fleet was attacking. "You and Knuckles grab your extreme gear! I'll get us close as a I can, but-"

"Good luck, buddy!" Sonic said as they rest headed out.

Blaze! I'm going to put us down on the West Coast! You'll have to fly to your target from here!. Tails tell her over intercom.

"Understood," Blaze replied.

Blaze then uses the Sol Emeralds to transform into Burning Blaze and fly out of the aircraft. Amy comes by the captain's room to get Tails to evacuate. Before doing so, Tails puts in the final trajectory for the aircraft. Team two then fly into action.

"Vector, you lead the Chaotix and the Crusaders and do your thing! Sliver, Starlight, Pinkie, Rarity. go wild!" Amy ordered them.

"Rouge! You, Tempest and Shadow..." Amy realized that Shadow was missing. "Where's is he?!"

"Did you think that Shadow is one to take orders? Rouge asked her.

"Should've known that Shadow went on his own... I'm counting on you and Tempest to handle the guns!"

"Will do!" Tempest nodded.

"Tangle! Whisper! Fluttershy! Cover Tails while he something smart!"

"What that supposed to mean?" Tails asked with smirked.

"I don't know you're the genius!"

A large battle soon commences between team two and the Egg Fleet's horde of Egg Pawns. Burning Blaze quickly destroys the fleet of ships stationed on the wing of the flying fortress.

At the centerpiece of the island, Sonic, Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Knuckles find themselves before a large statue of Dr. Eggman positioned on top of a closed door.

"Sense anything?" Rainbow asked.

"Nope," Knuckles shook his then smashed door open. "I call first punch on Neo."

"You have to be faster than me," Sonic tease him.

They walk along the halls to find Neo sitting on his throne that he fashioned upon the Master Emerald.

"End of the line for you, Pointy!" Applejack declared.

"Our friends are keeping your forces busy and we're going to stop you," Sonic said.

"Release the Master Emerald now!" Knuckles shouted.

"I am not concerned with the Resistance's efforts and the rest of you are nothing to my power." Neo said.

"We see about that, do your worst!" Rainbow taunted him.

"Very well," Neo said as he pushed them back by a surge of energy.

"Son of bitch," Sonic groaned.

"I am Super Neo Metal Sonic, think you can stop me, show me what you're made of."
