From where we left off, Sonic, Knuckles, Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow were face to face with Neo Metal Sonic who was in his super form.

"You came here to stop me right?" Neo asked. "So who's first?!"

"I going to kick that smile right off you!" Sonic declared.

"No only Metal got an upgraded but now he gone super!" Rainbow groaned. "No fair!"

"I'll show no fair!" Neo declared at them but dodges it.

"Knuckles, Applejack, Secure the Master Emerald!" Twilight told them. "We keep him busy!"

"Oh will you!?" Neo exclaimed as he catches all of them beats them up before electrocuting them with energy.

"Damn!" Rainbow moaned a bit. "He not wasting any is he?"

"Yeah," Sonic agreed. "But I'm just warmed up."

Outside, team two manages to fight effectively against the Badnik horde.

"We're not making a lot headway!" Tails exclaimed.

"But we're not losing either! Keep it up!" Amy shot back.

"You heard the lady! Charge!" Pinkie exclaimed as she fires her cannon.

"Remind me to get on her bad side," Trixie said to Sunset.

"We need to work smart, not hard!" Tails said. "Cover me! I got a plan!"

"Everyone! Cover Tails, he got a plan!" Amy said.

"Will do!" Pinkie said. "I wonder how Eggman's doing?"

Elsewhere, Dr. Eggman is singing a song while playing a guitar as children are enjoying themselves at his "Eggman Land" theme park. He is soon visited by Rough and Tumble, who swiftly kidnap him but not before Rough mentions that the "doc" said that Eggman might be a little "off".

Back on Angel Island,

"Tails, whatever you are planning it would be best to hurry it up!" Rarity exclaimed as she and Silver were keeping the Egg Pawns at bay.

"Almost done, and ignition!" Tails said manages to make one of the Egg Fleet's ships airborne Once he manages to get the ship airborne, he begins to shoot down the second wing of the island. This recklessly catches his teammates off guard.

"Hey! Watch where you're flying!" Both Tangle and Pinkie exclaimed.

"Good idea," Trixie said. "Next time would kill him to give a heads up!"

"Trixie, did you forget that Tails was practically raised by Sonic and knowing him keeping him waiting is not his strong suit!" Amy shot back. "Ha! Looks like we didn't need Shadow's help after all!"

"I'm still going to chew him out for doing his own thing." Rouge said as she land the pink hedgehog and the blue unicorn on the ship.

"Good! I mean why!?" Trixie asked her.

"Knowing him? He and Tempest would seek to stop the strongest threat around."

"Good point," Amy replied. "I guess if Sonic and the others need back-up."

"Along as they trip each over or one up the other," Trixie pointed out.

Back inside Neo's stronghold, Sonic, Twilight, and Rainbow and Applejack do there best to dodge and counter Super Neo Metal Sonic's attacks while Knuckles attempts to reach the Master Emerald again. However, Super Neo Metal Sonic immediately blocks him and hits him backward. He looks down on the fallen quintet.

"I am disappointed," Neo said not being pleased know his doppelganger and his allies. "I wasn't even using my full power-!"

Just as he says this however, he is interrupted by Shadow who drives a Chaos Spear through his torso removing his super state which allows Tempest to a magic blast that send him to his throne.

"Wait!" Sonic tried to stop him. "He'll copy and Tempest' Biodata!"

"So? It wouldn't be enough to transform," Shadow replied.

"Maybe not, he become even stronger than he already is!" Twilight exclaimed.

"What matter Sparkle? Afraid?" Shadow turned to her.

"Move, so I can get to the Master Emerald!" Knuckles pushed them aside but Neo was already emitting energy.

"Have you forgotten Shadow? Or are you to stubborn?" Neo asked him. "Dr. Eggman upgraded me to this form and removed the pesky limitations you counted! You given everything that I needed, you and Sonic's Biodata, the magic properties of Twilight Sparkle and the Master Emerald itself!"

"Nice going," Rainbow moaned.

"This isn't over!" Shadow declared as he, Tempest and Knuckles attack the shield.

"Uh guys?" Applejack sternly asked. "Might be the best time to fall back!"

The mares, the hedgehogs and echidna retreat hastily. Everyone look on as Neo's shield grows bigger, now leaving Knuckles' shrine in its former state then the ground started to rumble.

"What's happing?" Rainbow asked.

"The Master Emerald had been cut off from the Island," Knuckles explained. "Without we're going to plummet into the sea!"

As a thunderstorm occurs, Neo Metal Sonic grows into a form more monstrous than the last.

"Now Sonic. Twilight, and those who stand by them," Metal said. "Time for you to meet your doom at the hand of Master Overlord!"
