During the night, with Sonic the Hedgehog along with Starlight Glimmer infiltrating one of ]Dr. Eggman's pyramid bases. Unbeknownst to them, however, a figure is watching them from the shadows. Inside the base, Sonic and Starlight easily dodges the laid out traps and defenses and Boosts through the incoming Spinas. Up ahead, he sees a door that is about to get sealed. The figure in the shadows secretly fires a spiked pink ball in between the door seal and the floor, thus keeping the door open long enough for them to get underneath it and past it. They continues onward, only to run into a supersized Spina.

"Ohh! you a big one!" Starlight exclaimed.

As Sonic prepare for a Spin Dash and Starlight charged her horn at the supersized Spina, it gets surrounded in a cyan aura and is smashed into the floor.

"Mind if I cut in?" Silver asked.

"Be our guess." Starlight said. "Thanks for holding that door for us back there."

"What door?" Silver asked. "I came in through the other way."

"If you didn't help us who did?" Just as Sonic wonders who helped the,, a surprise shot is fired at another large Spina that Sonic, Starlight and Silver did not detect coming.

"Since when you could that?" Starlight asked.

"I didn't It must the Guardian Angel!" Silver exclaimed.

"The what now?" Sonic was dumbstruck.

"How do you not know about her?" Silver asked him.

"I spent six months in a small cell in space. I miss a few things."

"Right... multiple units have reported a sightings of a mysterious person who would help turn the tide of battles in the Resistance’s favor but never openly joined the army. The Guardian Angel is also responsible for saving my life on a few occasions."

"So you came back for autograph?" Sonic tease him.

"No, I came back because defeating Eggman didn't save the future," Silver said.

"Couldn't play along." Sonic sighed while stretching his legs. "Had to bring the mood down. What happened this time?"

"When I returned to the future, I found no signs of any people, animals or even machinery; only water and sparse metallic plant life." Sliver explained.

"That sounds eerie," Starlight said uneasily.

"I know right? So I came back to find out what happened," Silver agreed. "Twilight said that you were looking for clue in Eggman's bases and came to help."

"So did your Guardian Angel," Sonic said looking at the destroyed Badniks. "Whoever it is they aren't using a Standard Wispon."

"How can you tell?" Starlight asked him.

"They're built for clearing out hordes of robots using the Wisps' power this way more precise." Just then, Sonic, Starlight and Silver hear noises from around the corner. They find a female wolf trying to break into a door with a Wispon device that switches between various Wisp powers.

"Hey that must be her! Hey, Guardian Angel!" Sliver excitedly calls for her attention but the Guardian Angel uses her Wispon's Hover ability to fly away from him.

"I don't understand we're all on the same side and I'm big fan," Silver being confused.

"Silver... you said she never said joined the Resistance. Never interreacted with anybody right?" Sonic asked Silver.

"Yeah, so," Silver wondered.

"Because she, for some reason, prefers to work alone." Sonic pointed it out.

"I see," Silver realized. "I guess I've been lonely for so long, I never considered wanting to be alone. :

"Yo!" Sonic called out the female wolf. "Sorry for coming so strong. I'm Sonic, the unicorn is Starlight Glimmer and over eager friend is Silver. We appreciate you help . We'd like to help you too."

While the Guardian Angel makes no move, some Wisps leave the Guardian Angel's cloak and playfully greet Sonic, then she approached them.

"Hey guys!" Sonic greeted them. "Long story short I saved their planet from Eggman while back. I guess that left an impression."

"Whisper," Saying her name very softly.

"Cool."

"Okay, but why?" Silver asked while whispering.

"No genius," Starlight glared him. "That's her name!"

"Oh, right,"

"Care to the get door for us, flatware?" Sonic asked.

"I said I get it!" Silver shouted. "Don't rub it in."

"Everybody get ready!" Sonic said as Silver opened the door.

As the door opens it was a computer room guarded by many Spinas and E-107 Theta. As they battle against the Badnik horde, Silver loses his grip of the door and gets them closed in. As Whisper and Starlight takes to a high area to shoot at Theta, Sonic and Silver start destroying as many Spinas as they can to make destroying Theta easier. Despite this, Theta manages to shoot both Whisper and Starlight down. She becomes wedged and separated from her Wispon. As the two gets surrounded by several Spinas, her Wisps come out to stand by and protect her. Fortunately for them, Silver uses his psychokinesis to control the Spinas and use them as shields to Theta's missiles. Sonic then uses more Theta's own missiles to take the robot down for the count, releasing an animal in the process.

"It okay if you prefer to work alone," Starlight approached her. "But it looks to me you've got quite a team and I'd be proud to be a part of it. "

"Maybe," Whisper though about then procced to smashed the computer.

"Whoa-whoa-whoa!" Sonic pleaded her to stop. "You can tear this place when we're done! First, we need vital intel of the computer!"

"Okay,"

"What did Eggman did to you?" Sonic thought about it.

"So, Silver," Starlight asked Silver. "Find anything?"

"Looks there was major update in the Egg Net." Silver replied. "It's almost liked Neo isn't hiding what he's any- Oh shit!" All three of them look at the update.

"We need to call Knuckles- right now!" Sonic stated.

Back at the Resistance, Knuckles felt jolt on head which made every one to run to him.

"Knuckles!" Rarity exclaimed. "What happened?!"

"It's the Master Emerald something's wrong..." Knuckles said.

"But's how," Spike asked. "Didn't you hid it during the Eggman War?"

"Remember, " Applejack reminded. "He has a special connection with it. It's calling to him."

Then, they soon receive a priority alert call from Sonic, Silver and Starlight.

"Amy! Knuckles! Anypony! Are you there?!" Starlight asked. "Silver found Neo's up up to! You're need gonna to call everyone!"

Meanwhile on Angel Island, Neo Metal Sonic has taken control of the Master Emerald, as well as the island. As he sits on a throne attached to the Master Emerald, he knows that the Master Emerald has the ability to neutralize the Chaos Emeralds. As such, he dares for Sonic to stop him, believing he will be powerless.
