Following the battle, Sonic, Tails, Twilight, and Starlight had Metal Sonic chain up in a laboratory.

"Sonic, I understand your decision, but are you sure about this?" Starlight asked.

"I have to agree with Starlight," Tails agree with her. "After losing the Master Emerald, Metal had he his basic powers are you sure about doing this?"

"I'm sure, wake the dude up." Sonic reassured.

Tails thus turns Metal Sonic back online. When Metal Sonic saw Twilight he immediately breaks out of his chains and lunges at her. However, the weakened Metal Sonic only falls into at her hooves.

"Take it easy, Tails fixed up the worst of the damage, but you're in no shape to fight, We're compassionate not stupid. It's over, Eggman is done, and you don't owe him anything, you have choice to join us or walk away.

Metal gave it some thought then took off.

"So, much for that idea," Twilight sighed. "But, we have to honor his choice,"

"At least Eggman can't weaponize him anymore!" Starlight added.

Meanwhile, Starline and company

"I don't understand three sessions later and he hasn't regained any memory of his former self," Starline exclaimed. "I'm out fresh out of ideas. I suppose someone else has a better idea."

"Maybe he needs some kind of mental trigger to get back on his feet," Cozy suggested then saw something. "And I just know just figure it out who!"

Cozy flew off and came back with the damaged Metal Sonic.

"Metal Sonic?!" Chrysalis asked.

"Oh poor thing!" Eggman ran over to him. "Don't worry I'll have you fixed in no--" he suddenly recalls memories of himself in the past with Metal Sonic, preparing him for battle and repairing him. Eggman then snaps out of his "Mr. Tinker" persona.

"What happen? Where I am and who the hell are all of you! And who dressed me like this?!"

"Finally, excellent work Miss Glow," Chrysalis praised the little filly.

"Please allow me," Starline came in. "My name is Starline and these are my associates Cozy Glow and Chrysalis. And must say I admire your work completely."

"And those two?" Eggman asked the skunk brothers while fixing Metal Sonic.

"Rough and Tumble, dimwitted but have an axe to grind with Sonic,"

"Well is that so? So what do you two say I hook you two with some high-powered weapons and send you after that rodent and those pitiful ponies?"

"Now your taking!" Rough said.

"Just give us the Hardware and leave to us!" Tumble said.

"Good, the last group I hired didn't fare well." Eggman said as he changes into his clothes. "Now, Starline how did you and the others restore my memory."

"Simple," Starline explained. "We've use neuro-stimulants and aggressive hypnotherapy and for how you got the your fortress, I used the power of the Warp Topaz."

"The what now?" Eggman asked.

"The Warp Topaz," Chrysalis said. "A gemstone warp space to create gateways to other places, provided it has a power source."

"Mmm,,, Hard pass, I had mine fair share of magic stones."

"Thought you might say that," Chrysalis said. "So I've taken the liberty of grabbing something that you are familiar with recognize these?"

She show him all seven Chaos Emeralds.

"Not bad, not bad," Eggman smiled.

At the Egg Fleet Battleship

"Hey, Amy, Pinks," Sonic greeted them. "What going in here?"

"Nothing much, just checking the inventory of the ship," Pinkie said.

"Thrilling, find anything?"

"Yeah! There's a lot of raw materlals here! It's just what we need to help with reconstruction efforts!" Amy repiled.

"Cool!"

"I know this sort of thing would make Knuckles bored out of his skull meaning i have to it-HAHA!"

"And everything else... Knux says he's disbanding the Resistance...suprise"

"Are you serouis?"

"Yep."

"Damn it."

"Just the lady we were looking for," Vector exclaimed.

"Payday! Payday!" Charmy shouted.

"I' sorry payday? What's going on?"

"Allow me, We kinda hire them to find Eggman and since we found out the identity behind his impersonator and helped bring him down, in other short they want to be paid." the pink pony explain.

"Got it, I just show myself out," Sonic said as he left.

"Is this some kind of sick joke?" Tumble asked.

"How are we going to use the weapons if look like these?" Rough asked.

"For the love," Chrysalis groaned the swap the blueprints.

"Oh takes more sense!" Both understood them.

"May god help me!"

Meanwhile...

"So with Starline and the others are keeping Sonic busy what we going to do?" Cozy asked.

"Something I've always wanted to do," Eggman replied then Orbot and Cubot came in.

"Boss, I called up the schematics on file as you requested," Orbot said.

"Are you sure you really want to unleash that on the world?" Cubot ask Looking at the hologram of a virus-like element.

"Yes, I suffer quite the indiglity during my last setback. Now the world will be in hell in return!"
