"So, Serena, Applejack, Rarity, Sunset, where are you guys headed from here?" Ash asked them.

"Well we... umm," Serena stammered her speech a bit.

"Why don't you guys come along with us?" Ash requested.

"PIka!"

'Yeah, that'll be fun!" Bonnie said cheerfully. "Come with us, we'll have a great time!"

"Yeah!" Twilight smiled. "Sounds like an excellent idea to me."

"Thanks to you guys, I came up with my Santalune Gym strategy," Ash said. "And if you could help me out a bit from here on it would be great."

"How I can say no to all of that!" Serena winked. "I'm in!"

"Count me in!" Applejack replied.

"Of course, the more the merrier!" Rarity exclaimed.

"Sure, traveling together is a lot of fun!" Sunset said.

"That's the spirit," Fluttershy said. "So Jaden how do we get to Cyllage City?"

"That simple," Jaden pulled his map. "We here, but Lumiose City is between us, and Cyllage City to get there we need to go back to Lumiose City before we get to Cyllage City!"

"Yeah, that makes sense!" Twilight said.

"There's a boutique in Lumiose City with the cutest clothes!" Serena exclaimed. "And awesome bakery that has the best pastries you ever tasted!

Bonnie started to drool after hearing the word bakery.

"What are we waiting for ?" Serena started to run. "Let's go!"

"Yippee!" Bonnie started to run as well.

Then Ash, Rarity, Applejack, Jaden, and Sunset did as well.

"Clemont, step on it!" Jaden urged to pick up the pace.

"I'm doing my best," Clemont running as hard as he can.

Just as our heroes walking, they all heard a strange noise.

"Does anyone else hear that?" Fluttershy said as the noise got closer.

Then suddenly three people riding on Rhyhorn came out of nowhere. Luckily our heroes dodged it.

"What Pokémon is that!?" Rarity asked as she pulls out her Pokédex.

Rhyhorn, the Spikes Pokémon. Rhyhorn recklessly charges straight ahead, trampling over anything that gets in its way?

"What in tarnation was that all about?" Applejack asked.

"It's a Rhyhorn Race," Serena said.

"Race?" Twilight asked then Officer Jenny approach them on her motorcycle.

"What do you all think you're doing?" She asked them. "You're not supposed to be here! You're standing right in the middle of the Rhyhorn racecourse!"

"The Rhyhorn racecourse?" Fluttershy gasped.

Moments later...

"This is Odyssey Village," Officer Jenny explained. "Where the Rhyhorn race begins. The course starts at the village square goes through the forest comes back!"

"Wow, a Rhyhorn race!" Ash exclaimed. "Never seen one before!"

"Rhyhorn races are really popular in the Kalos region," Jaden stated.

"This is so awesome," Twilight said then realized something. "Say where's Fluttershy?"

"She right over there," Bonnie pointed in that direction where Fluttershy was talking to somebody, one of them was a girl with cyan skin, with rainbow hair and magenta eyes. She had on a white shirt with a cloud with a rainbow bolt coming out of it, on top of was a blue jacket. Her Pokémon was a Crobat, Ninjask, Jolteon. and Swellow. The other one black zipped jacket with a green z on the back, goggles to be used for a keystone and the lens can be flipped up onto the forehead, cargo jeans, a black headband with a yellow X, grey scarf, and green boots he green hair in a shape of a short ponytail. His Pokémon are a Totodile, Seviper, Noibat, and Gardevoir.

"Hey Flutters," Bonnie and Twilight approach her. "Who are you two?"

"The name's Rainbow Dash, kiddo!" saying her name.

"And I'm Zane," Saying his name. "And you're are?"

"I'm Bonnie and this is Twilight," Bonnie said their names.

"Pleasure to meet you," Zane said then Ash and the others came by.

"And these our friends, Ash, Serena, Clemont, Jaden, Sunset, Applejack, and Rarity," Bonnie introduced the rest of them.

"Man, who knew Rhyhorn can use for racing," Rarity exclaimed.

"They even had specialRhyhorn tracks in bigger cities," Serena told Rarity. "This course is actually kind of easy."

"Really," Twilight turned to Serena. "You sure know a lot!"

"Well I guess so, okay an official Rhyhorn race has six Rhyhorn, see?"

"Wow!"

"There's a special Rhyhorn race anyone can participate in tomorrow," Officer Jenny said. "If you guys are interested you might want to give that race a try!"

"You mean it?" Ash asked her. "Great, I'm in!"

"Count me in!" Rainbow joined in.

As Ash and Rainbow prepare for the Rhyhorn Race, across the valley Team Rocket members Adagio, Sonata and Duke were overseeing them.

"The twerp and the Pikachu," Adagio said while using her binoculars. "We've been looking for those two.

"And they've got Rhyhorn racing on the brain," Duke mentioned. "And when got a Rhyhorn you've got something!"

"Those Rhyhorn have a lot of power to spare," Adagio smirked. "And with reeling in a Rhyhorn and Pikachu is sure to earn us the Boss's seal of approval!"

"Grade A!" Duke grinned.

"Yeah!" Sonata smiled evilly. "Let's tell the others, and nabbed every last one!"

Many hours later after a long day of training, everyone was sleeping except for one of them as Serena and Fennekin were in the kitchen making something.

"Fennekin!" The Fox Pokémon asked her trainer.

"We need to stay quiet!" Serena told it to keep it down.

"Fennekin."

"I hope they're out all right," Serena as she puts a treat of cookies in the oven.

Morning

Folks welcome the Rhyhorn race's final day, the day when any racer can join in!

"Best of luck, to both of you!" Bonnie cheered on Ash and Rainbow Dash.

"Thanks, I'll do my best," Ash said.

"Not before you can eat my dust," Rainbow declared.

On your marks, get set... go!

The Rhyhorn racers shot out of the gate except for Ash but took as he was last place.

"That's not a good start," Sunset said.

"I hope he's okay," Twilight said being concerned.

"Okay, now it's time to catch up and take the lead," Ash said. "Let's go!"

A little time later both Rainbow and Ash were catching up with the other racers.

"So, you managed to catch up with us Ash, but I going to win this thing." Said Rainbow.

"As if!" Ash replied to her.

Back to the sidelines, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, and the others along with the Pokémon watched the cameras, until all four of them went black.

"Uh oh. We lost our live feed! Something must've happened on the course! But what!?" The MC announced also shocked by the blackout.

Clemont got up and began to head to the course. "We should go investigate!" He suggested. Everyone else followed suit.

Back with Ash and Rainbow…

"That's weird what happened to the other racers?" Ash wondered.

Pikachu went to Rhyhorn's horn to look around closely. Suddenly as if waring, Rainbow widened his eyes, giving Rhyhorn to signal to stop.

"Rhyhorn! Ash! Stop!" Rainbow yelled. Ash grew startled while her Rhyhorn stopped completely being confused in the process. Just as Ash's Rhyhorn raced through, a glowing net flew into the air capturing Ash in a bind. He let out a yell as he was forced to ground by the net. "Pika Pi!" Pikachu called. Just then glowing box trapped Pikachu and Rhyhorn, turning into a cage.

Both Rainbow and Ash gasped as she got off her Rhyhorn. As she got off, another net came by, this time toward Rainbow but she dodged it.

"What is going on around here!?" Ash demanded. Suddenly as he turned he gasped.

Rainbow also turned to see the other racers were tied up.

"Misson accomplished!" They heard Aria's voice.

"Who said that!?" Ash demanded.

"Prepare for trouble, who do you think?"

"And make it double, with a nod and a wink."

"To protect the world from devastation!"

"To unite all people within our nation!"

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"

"To extend our reach to the stars above!"

"Jessie!"

"James!"

"Adagio!"

"Aria!"

"Sonata!"

"Duke!"

"And Clyde!"

"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now or prepare for a fight!"

"Meowth, that's right!"

Ash grew angry as Rainbow got confused. "Team Rocket? Who are they?" Rainbow asked.

"Bad guys who steal other people's Pokémon!" He explained then turned to the bad guys. "You guys always try to mess everything up!"

James sneered and took a remote. "Who cares? We win. You Lose." He presses the button which causes the cage that Pikachu and Rhyhorn to connect with the others. Meowth snickered as he leaped to the front car. "All aboard the Rhyhorn Express! Do we have Rhyhorn? Yes!" He sneered.

Rainbow was surprised that Meowth talking but glared at the criminals. "Hold it! What do you plan on doing with them?"

Aria glared at her. "For obvious reasons, to conquer the world! Along with Pikachu."

James took out a Pokeball. "Inkay! Prepare for our escape!" James called, The Revolving Pokémon appeared and squirted ink at Rainbow's eyes.

"Darn it! I can't see!' Rainbow grunted as she tried to rub the ink off her.

"No! Rainbow!" Ash gasped as Team Rocket laughed.

"Since you're all tied all up and blinded we bid you, farewell twerps!" Clyde cackled.

"I want Pikachu back!" Ash demanded but was ignored.

"You won't get away with this!" Rainbow snapped at them.

"But we just did! Suck on that!" Adagio grinned. Just then as a miracle a Hyper Beam came out of nowhere and destroyed the engines. Meowth let out a yelp of surprise. Jessie and the others fell in a surprising call.

"Ugh… Check, please…" Meowth grumbled as wiped the mind off his face, then a Gardevior appeared.

Way to go!" Zane called. Team Rocket turned to see him, Clemont and Twilight panting.

"Looks we made it in time!" Twilight said being relieved.

"Clemont! Zane! Twilight! " Ash called in relief. Rainbow perked her head up to hear Clemont, as she kept on trying to the ink off her eyes. As she was doing that Jaden the girls and the Pokémon ran by.

"Ash! Rainbow!" Serena called.

"Are you two okay?" Bonnie asked.

Swellow flew over to Rainbow as Ash smiled, "Serena! Bonnie! Fluttershy! Applejack! Rarity! Sunset! Jaden! Am I glad to see you!" Ash exclaimed.

Swellow rubbed the rest of the ink with her wing off of Rainbow giving her sight back. "Thanks, buddy." Rainbow thanked. "Swell," Swellow replied with a nod, relieved that her trainer was okay.

"I had a feeling something bad was happening, but I never imagined it would like this!" Jaden explained.

Bonnie pouted as she saw the bad guys. " Bad is right, it's Team Rocket!" Bonnie shrieked angrily at them.

Team Rocket got up recovering from the blow they had glaring at the group.

"You're going regret saying that short stuff!" Aria snapped then Treecko appeared and both gave a glare at Team Rocket.

At the same time, Fennekin nudged on Serena's leg. Both of them turned to see what they want.

"Oh right! Pikachu and the others are in trouble, and you want to help them! Is that right?" Serena asked.

"Same with you?" Applejack asked.

Both Treecko and Fennekin nodded as they stand side by side glaring at Team Rocket.

"Fennekin, Ember!"

"Treecko, Engery Ball!"

Fenekin fired a small flame and Treecko draws powers from nature and fire at Team Rocket All of them screamed as they felt the attacks from their back. As they panicked James accidentally drop the remote causing him and the others to gasp.

Clemont took his chance to destroy it as he grabbed a rock and ran over. "For the future of science!" Clemont exclaimed as he smashed the remote causing all the cages to disappear.

"Uh oh! This not good." Sonata said as Team Rocket corner by a heard of Rhyhorn.

"Feels kind of drafty out here!" Jessie stuttered.

"You're feeling the winds of wipeout!' James shuddered.

"Hey relax! Getting upset is bad for our health!" Duke exclaimed. But, the Rhyhorn group ignored Duke and charged at them, smashing them into the air. Team Rocket let out a scream as they disappeared.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF INSTEAD!"

As they were gone Officer Jenny came checking to make sure that everybody was okay. "I need everybody to keep the area clear! I'll be coming to you individually to get your statements later!" She called.

Rainbow sighed. "I guess the race is over, then," Rainbow muttered. Ash let a grin and patted Rainbow's back.

"We're calling this a tie okay?" Ash asked her.

Rainbow smiled lightly and nodded. "Sure thing."

Later at the Serena introduced everyone to her mom.

"Nice to meet you! My name's Ash and this is my buddy, Pikachu!" Ash introduced himself and Pikachu.

"Pika Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed.

"I'm Twilight!"

"Sunset,"

"Jaden!"

"Zane,"

"Rainbow,"

"Fluttershy,"

"I'm Clemont! Hey there!" He called as Ash push him out of the way to see Serena's mom that's when Bonnie pushed him out of the way.

"My name's Bonnie! This is Dedenne!" She exclaimed. Then Serena got into the screen, showing her mother her starter.

"Take a look! Fennekin! You see, Fennekin is my new partner!" Serena exclaimed.

"Nice to meet all of you!" Grace said.

"Serena taught me how to do ride on Rhyhorn!" Ash told him.

"You didn't have to tell her that did you?" Serena pouted. "Mom! Guess what? You see... I've decided I'm going to travel with Ash and all of his friends! Isn't that the best? Really?"

"That's great! Have good time!"

"Thanks!"

"It will be a wonderful experience for you!"

Very Munch Later

"Sorry I took so long!" Serena said. "I'm going with you! Isn't that great?"

"Sure is," Sunset replied.

"We're going to have so many fun adventures!" Applejack said.

"And we'll best friends!" Bonnie added.

"Sure will!" Serena smiled. "Oh! That reminds me I made cookies for every!"

"Awesome!" Ash exclaimed.

"It's a small thank you!" Serena implied.
