"This way!" Bonnie urged them. "Hurry up!"

"Okay," Ash said. "Froakie, you've gotta hang in there!"

"Clemont!" Bonnie yelled. "Go faster."

"I'm running as fast as I can," Clemont being exhausted. "Don't wait for me! Get going!"

"You got it," Jaden nodded.

"I can't believe how slow my brother is," Bonnie sighed.

Meanwhile with Team Rocket was sitting in a tree after they got blasted.

"Unforgivable," James groaned.

"And embarrassing," Aria grumbled.

"Ash, this way!" They heard Fluttershy's voice.

"Right," Also heard Ash's voice.

"This is it," Jaden said. "The Sycamore Pokémon lab!"

"It's the little twerp," Clyde saw them.

"Sycamore Pokémon lab?" Adagio asked.

"It must be for studying Pokémon," Duke mentioned.

"Ooo, maybe the Pokémon in the place must be really strong and very rare." Sonata smiled.

Then Woobuffet came out of its Pokéball and the branch broke and they fell down. Meanwhile, Ash, Bonnie, Twilight, Jaden, and Fluttershy were inside the lab.

"Hello? Professor Sycamore, are you here?" Jaden asked to see if the professor was in the room.

"Coming," Prof. Sycamore came in the room and then gasped. "Oh my, Froakie!"

"You know this Froakie, Professor?" Ash asked him.

"I sure do," The professor responded. "Sophie, Starlight, come quick! We've been so worried about you. Your trainer has been in recent contact with us."

Then Sophie and Starlight Glimmer came in.

"Froakie needs help."

"Right," Sophie and Starlight nodded. "Quick, let's take him to the infirmary."

"Thanks, Professor," Ash thanked him. "We've been worried about Froakie, too. So is Froakie's trainer on the way here now?"

"I afraid not," Sycamore shook his head. "He contacted us to let us know he wanted to give up Froakie."

Suddenly the door open up to Clemont who was out of breath.

"You are so slow!" Bonnie groaned.

"How's Froakie?" Clemont asked.

Moments Later both Starlight and Sophie were hard at work to heal up Froakie.

"Poor Froakie," Jaden said in concern.

"There's nothing to worry about," Sycamore reminded him. "Those two are very good at what they do."

"Great," Jaden was relieved.

"I'm Professor Sycamore," He started to introduce himself. "A Pokémon researcher working here in Kalos."

"Nice to meet you, my name's Ash and this is my partner Pikachu!"

"Pika!"

"My name's Jaden, and this is Sneasel."

"I'm Twilight Sparkle, and this is Espeon."

"Fluttershy,"

"I'm Bonnie and this is my brother Clemont!"

"It's truly an honor to meet you, Professor Sycamore."

"Pikachu and I got here today from Pallet Town in Kanto,"

"My home is in Twinleaf Town in Sinnoh,"

"From Kanto and Sinnoh?"

"Right, I'm traveling on a journey so I can become a Pokémon Master!"

"And I want to understand the world of Pokémon."

"Then welcome, forgive me for not thanking you yet for saving Froakie. It's much apprenticed."

"Well, truth is Froakie saved us!" Ash explained. "So what's the deal with Froakie's trainer? What happened that would make him give Froakie up?"

"One of my many responsibilities is to give trainers their very first Pokémon," Sycamore explained. "Froakie's a Pokémon meant for new trainers. But this particular Froakie is a bit different, refusing to listen to its trainer during battle. There have been times when Froakie ran away, simply because it didn't like its trainer. And several trainers have come back to my lab to return it."

Hearing this made everyone gasp.

"You mean more than," Twilight exclaimed.

"I'm sure Froakie acts that way for a reason."

"So Froakie's hard a hard life," Fluttershy said.

"There have been rumors in Unova about a new trainer's Pokémon like that," Jaden confessed. "But it seemed absurd, so I never believed them." Then they heard a Pokémon cry it turned out to be a Garchchomp and with him another lab assistant by the name of Sunburst.

"Check it out," Ash shouted. "A Garchomp."

"Garchomp lives here at the lab," Sycamore said. "It has a good heart."

"Gar,"

"Garchomp, how are you feeling?" Sycamore asked the Mach Pokémon.

"Gar..."

"Froa,"

"Froakie will be fine, don't worry," The Professor reassured him. "You can thank these people."

Garchomp turned and saw Ash and the others.

"Nice to meet you, Garchomp," Ash said.

"Pika, Pika!"

"You really care a lot, don't you?" Ash walked to him. "Froakie's gonna be okay. Promise!"

"Can I pet Garchomp please?" Bonnie asked the professor. "I've never seen a real one before!"

"Of course." He agreed. "He would really like that!"

"Yay!" the little girl jumped for joy and petted him. "Aw, you're so cute, good Pokémon. Hey, you like me!"

"Professor?" Clemont asked him. "I've heard a lot about your research on Pokémon Evolution. Is it true?"

"Yeah, there are a lot more Pokémon living right here at the lab than Garchomp," He explained.

"Oh, I wanna see them, I wanna see them!" Bonnie urged him.

"Well, I think we can do something about that," Sycamore said. "Sunburst, look after Garchomp will you?"

"Of course, sure thing," Sunburst nodded as everyone but Ash left.

"Aren't you guys coming?" Fluttershy asked.

"We'll catch up with you!" Ash said.

"Uh, okay," Fluttershy nodded.

Then Ash and Pikachu enter the room.

"Hey Froakie, I really want to thank you for saving me," Ash thanked the Bubble Frog Pokémon. "Pikachu and I think you're awesome!"

"Froakie..."

"I don't get it, I want a Pokémon like you! Look what you did you cared enough to save Pikachu. You're the best!"

"Pika!"

In the greenhouse, Bonnie was playing with Pokémon then Ash walked in.

"Amazing," Ash said seeing the Pokémon.

"So Ash, how's Froakie feeling?" Clemont asked.

"Much better!" Ash responded. "Froakie's really strong!"

"My word," Twilight gasped. "I've seen these Pokémon! I can't even count this much!"

"So Profesor," Jaden grabbed his attention. "What kind of Evolution are you researching?"

"Well," Sycamore started to explain. "If I told you that Pokémon may have an additional evolutionary stage, what would you say?"

"Are you serious?" Jaden was dumbstruck.

"So you're saying that Garchomp can still evolve?" Clemont asked.

"Possibly-- That's my research."

"Whoa, unbelievable,"

"There have been several reports about different Pokémon evolving in a way that we research refer to as Mega Evolution."

"Mega Evolution?" Ash wondered.

"A lot of things are still a mystery... but we believe that a strong bond between Pokémon and trainer as well as a special stone, play a crucial role in evolving!"

"Strong bond,"

"Snea?"

"Pika?"

"What's more, a Pokémon's able to return to its previous form after it evolves this way!"

"It can turn back?"

They weren't the only ones who hear about this as Team Rocket listen through the skylight.

"Mega Evolution," Meowth wondered. "Strong stuff!"

"Further evolution, after evolving," Adagio exclaimed.

"So, what's the plan?" Aria asked Jessie.

"Simple," Jessie explained to her. "We'll snatch every Pokémon!"

"It's catching season!" Duke explained as Team Rocket snicked then Wobbuffett came out again.

"Wobb,"

Team Rocket closes its mouth trying to shush it. Then Team Rocket enters the lab in their costumes.

"Oh, fellow researchers?" Jessie called them out.

"We come to Mega Evolution!" Clyde exclaimed.

"You have?" Starlight asked as she came into the room.

"We've to be of scientific service!" Adagio said.

"I wasn't told anything about this," Starlight mentioned as Sunburst and Garchomp came in as well.

"I check with the professor," Sunburst said as left to get Sycamore then the disguised Team Rocket talked almost themselves.

"Gar!" Garchomp roared.

"Kie! Froakie!" Froakie came in and saw them.

"Froakie!"

"Gar!"

"That's the Froakie that blasted us off!" Aria pointed at it.

"Then that's the one who feels our research wrath first," Clyde said as James grabs a cube-like device.

"So, let's get ready to research!" James shouted.

"No please, " Sonata urged Starlight to move. "Step aside. This is not for the faint of heart."

"Voila, " James said as he threw the device at Froakie but Garchomp stepped in and the device transform into a shock collar.

"Gar!"

"Froakie!"

"Oh no, Garmchomp!" Starlight screamed.

"Not our intended target," Adagio said. "But whatever. They did say Garchomp might be able to Mega Evolve."

"Let's roll with it," Aria suggested. "It's Garchomp grab!"

"Garchomp," James said as he activated his pad. " We insist that you come for the ride!"

Froakie tried to remove the collar but it got shocked in the process. Garchomp screamed as went under extreme pain.

"Hey, that Garchomp," Ash heard it.

Back inside, Garchomp fired a Hyper Beam around the lab then its eyes turned red. '

"Wait a minute," Adagio wondered. "This isn't how we planned it!"

"Come on," Duke urged it. "Get with the program!"

"Most peculiar..." James said.

"Garchomp," Ash said as he and the others came into the room.

"What going on?" Twilight asked.

"Professor, those guys did this," Starlight pointed at the scientists.

"All right, who are you!" Sycamore asked sternly.

"Prepare for trouble, all right, we're us!

"And make it double, no muss, no fuss!"

They ditch their disguisings and revealed themselves.

"Oh no, Team Rocket," Ash angrily said.

"You are such annoying, bad people!" Bonnie complained.

"Team Rocket?" Sycamore asked.

"Jerks who try to steal everybody's people Pokémon!" Fluttershy dryly said.

"Try?" Duke toyed with them. "We succeed!"

"And today, Garmchomp will fill that need!" Clyde as then he and Duke high-five.

"There's nothing like doing an evil deed!" Meowth said joining them.

"It can't be! A talking Meowth?' Sycamore was shocked that it could speak.

"The wisdom gushes out of my mouth."

Garchomp fired another Hyper Beam at Team Rocket.

"Foul, no fair!" All of them said.

"Wobbuffet!"

Team Rocket disappeared out of sight.

"What's going on?" Ash asked concerned about Garchomp's condition.

Garchomp fired another Hyper Beam at Ash and the others.

"Look out!" Jaden as they all duct.

"What was that for?" Twilight exclaimed.

"Hey, look at Garchomp's neck!" Clemont mentioned noticing the collar on its neck.

"It looks like a collar," Fluttershy said.

'It came from them!" Starlight said.

"What?"

"Garchomp jumped in to save Froakie." She explained then Garchomp fled the lab.

"Garchomp," Ash yelled.

"Garchomp must be in a lot of pain," Fluttershy said in concern.

"What's gonna happen to Garchomp?" Bonnie asked.

"Let's go after it!" Ash said as he, Twilight, and Jade headed out.

"Pika!"

"Please, be very careful!" Sycamore urged them. "Starlight, Sunburst check to see if the other Pokémon are okay!"

"Oh Clemont," Bonnie clenched to her brother. "I wish we could help poor Garchomp out..."

"Then let's go, too," Clemont said.

Just as about to exit Froakie blocked the door.

"Froakie!"

"Froakie, what?" Ash asked.

"Froak!"

"Great!" Jaden said. 'You wanna come?"

"Sneasel!"

"Pikachu!"

"Then lead the way!" Twilight exclaimed as they headed out.

Garchomp was flying high in the shy firing multiple Hyper Beams throughout Lumiose City as such Officer Jenny and another officer were on high alert.

"There's a Garchomp currently on a wild rampage!" Jenny said on the loudspeaker. "Please evacuate the area immediately."

Then a news copter came flying by.

At present Garchomp is flying toward Prism Tower!

Garchomp landed an attack on the copter with Hyper Beam.

Garchomp is now unleashing random Hyper Beams! It just aimed one straight at our helicopter! Garchomp seems extremely agitated.

As the TV said a woman called Grace and two girls named Applejack and Rarity were watching.

"Have a look at this," Grace requested her daughter Serena to see. "Somethin' unbelievable is happening."

"Oh yeah, something unbelievable has happened to my face, okay?" Serena showed two bandages on her face.

"Don't tell me," Applejack knew what to her face. "Early Morning Rhyhorn training."

"Yep," Serena responded. "What movie is this?"

"It's not a movie," Rarity exclaimed. "It's from the heart of Kalos, Lumiose City. Something awful is going on."

Garchomp continued to use Hyper Beam. Then Ash and the others arrived.

"We need to get close to it..." Ash said.

"But that's dangerous!" Fluttershy gasped.

"No, Garchomp's the one who's in danger," Ash pointed out. "I've gotta find a way to get that collar off!"

"Froak?"

"I know," Clemont gasped. "If getting close to Garchomp is what you need to do, I think I just came with a way!"

"Really?" Twilight asked him.

The gang went around the back of Prism Tower.

"There's an emergency stairwell through that door," Clemont explained. "Good thing I brought my backpack. The future is now thanks to science. All right Clemontic Gear on!"

He pressed a button on the backpack and a robotic arm came out.

"Aipom Arm let's go,"

"Wow, check that out!" Ash exclaimed.

"Pika,"

"Now we can get in," Clemont said.

"That's what I call science," Twilight said.

"Yeah it's amazing," Ash added.

"It's my brother's invention!" Bonnie said.

"I must admit," Clemont confessed. "I'm kind of good at these things."

"Thanks, Clemont," Jaden thanked him.

"Sure thing..." Clemont replied back then saw a purple light it was another Hyper Beam.

"Clemont, Bonnie, Fluttershy?" Ash asked. "Are you all okay?"

From the rubble, they heard Clemont's voice.

"Yeah, but don't worry about us! You keep on going."

"On it," Ash said.

"Officer Jenny," the officer heard Sycamore coming to her.

"Professor Sycamore," Jenny answered back.

"I'm sorry for all the trouble, so where's Garchomp?" The professor asked.

"Hey up there," A man said as he pointed up. "There are some kids."

"What," The professor looks up. "It's Ash, Twilight, and Jaden."

Garchomp was still in pain from the collar.

"Hey Garchomp," Ash said as the trio walked slowly to him.

Garchomp looked at them and fired a Hyper Beam at them but all of them dodged it.

"Please, Garchomp," Twilight pleaded. "You've gotta calm down!"

There are a couple of kids on Prism Tower. Could they be trying to talk to Garchomp?]

"I wonder if that kid with the hat is Garchomp's Trainer?" Applejack asked.

Back at Prism Tower Garchomp flew off and went to the very top.

"Hey look," Jaden grabbed their attention. "We can climb to the top."

Ash and others used the ladders and climbed to the top.

"Were to help, Garchomp," Ash said.

This is unreal. All three of them have climbed to the Prism Tower!

Garchomp fired another Hyper Beam, but they all dodged them. Then their Pokémon readied themselves.

"Wait, " Jaden pleaded. "Don't attack!"

"Pika?"

"We need to get close and destroy that collar," Ash said. "Garchomp, can you hear me?"

"I know its hurts! You're in a lot of pain!"

"We just want to help you,"

"Please, let me get that collar off you," Twilight came in. "So we can go back down!"

"Please."

"So what do you say?"

Garchomp tried to calm down but the collar shocked him. Froakie used its Frubbles to the Mach Pokémon from falling down.

"Nice thinking, Froakie," Ash thanked it.

"We need to destroy that collar," Jaden came in. "Me and Twilgiht we pinned him down, Ash once I give the signal have Pikachu use Iron Tail on it."

"Right," Ash agreed.

Both Jaden and Twilight grabbed him holding him down.

"We've got him." Jaden continued. "Do it!"

"Right, Pikachu, use Iron Tail on the collar."

Pikachu used Iron Tail and destroy the collar. Garchomp was relieved and was on its knees.

"Are you okay?" Ash asked.

"That must have hurt a lot," Twilight came in. "Help's on its way, don't worry."

Just as Pikachu approached them the ground gave out and Pikachu fell.

"Pikachu!" Ash yelled as jumped off the Tower to save his friend.

Everyone gasped seeing this including Applejack, Rarity, and Serena.

Ash caught up and grabbed them a bright red flash grabbed both and landed them safely.

"Thanks a lot!" Ash thanks the Pokémon.

"What a relief," Jaden sighed.

"Ash, Pikachu," Professor Sycamore shouted as he ran to them. "Thank goddess that both of you are not hurt."

"We're doing great," Ash said, "And Garchompe's all back to normal!"

"Thank you, Ash," Sycamore thank them. "Officer Jenny is on her to get them now."

"Professor," Ash started to talk. "About that Pokémon."

Both of them look like a guy in a Blaziken Mask and both of them vanished.

"That was Blaziken's Mega Evolution." The professor gasped. "That's Mega Blaziken."

"Mega Blaziken?" Ash asked.

"Another research topic for me."

"Thanks for everything!"

Meanwhile...

"What a relief," Serena sighed. "That boy. No, it couldn't be."

The Next Morning...

"Hope you all got some sleep," The professor asked. "Even though it's a mess in there."

"Yeah I slept like a log," Ash responded.

"Best sleep I've had in a long time!" Bonnie agreed.

"Thank you for everything," Fluttershy thanked him.

"I guess your real journey begins now, doesn't it?" Sycamore asked them.

"Yup," Ash replied.

"Oh and by way, have you three received a Kalos Region Pokédex yet?"

"No," Ash. Twilight and Jaden shook their heads.

"Then please take this with you on your journey, and for Jaden, this was custom-made for you."

He gives Ash and Twilight two Pokédexs with Twilight's having her pony form cutie mark. And for Jaden was for his wrist.

"Thanks," All three of them smiled back.

"Are you ready to go, buddy?" Ash asked Pikachu.

"Pikachu!"

"Good luck with your research, Professor!" Jaden mentioned.

Then Froakie appeared with a Pokéball and rolled to Ash.

"I think it wants to go with you," The professor said.

"I can't believe it," Clemont said. "Froakie chose you!"

"It really likes Ash," Bonnie mentioned.

"That's so sweet," Fluttershy added.

"You think so, huh?" Ash thought to himself. "So Froakie, do you wanna come with us?"

Froakie tapped the Pokéball allowing him to go in it after a few seconds of shaking it stopped then a white flash appeared now that Froakie was caught.

"It's awesome you're coming with us, Froakie," Ash said. "Pikachu, Froakie's our first friend in Kalos!"

"Yes! I got a Froakie!" Ash said holding Froakie's Pokéball.
