"Phew, finally home."

I smiled as I saw the familiar cloud house come into view. At least I was away from the media for now. I touched down on the porch and opened the door. I looked around and I saw no sign of Rainbow Dash, at least if she comes down and tackles me. I walked forward and sure enough, Rainbow Dash walked out of the hallway and greeted me with a warm smile.

"Hey Ben. What's up?"

"Nothing really."

"How was Vinyl's?"

"Fine."

Rainbow Dash got that suspicious look on her face, but she erased it when she came to a table and picked up a scroll.

"Um, this came for you.", she said while flying over, "It says that Princess Celestia wants you to come to Canterlot immediately."

I turned my head.

"Huh? What for?"

"I don't really know, but she says it's urgent."

I shrugged my shoulders.

"Alright. Could have given me a bit of time though."

I packed up my duffle bag and my laptop and I started towards the door before turning back to Rainbow Dash.

"You coming?"

Rainbow Dash suddenly perked up.

"You want me to come?"

"Of course. Wouldn't want to go anywhere without you."

Rainbow Dash blushed at my compliment and she out stretched her wings.

"You wanna race there?", I asked while my wings shot out of my back.

"Actually, the letter said specifically: no races. It turns out that they get a little destructive."

I nodded and smiled as I shot forward and my wings extended. I felt that feeling in my face when the wind seeps into it as I traveled at hyper velocities. Rainbow Dash pulled up to me and smiled with a devious grin. Immediately, I knew what she wanted.

I guess rules have to be broken some time.

My wings extended even further and the afterburners activated, making me lurch forward and cause a banging noise. I looked back, and sure enough, the cyan mare was hot on my trail. I smiled as I pushed the speed limit to its max and made everything I see become a blur. Suddenly, I saw a rainbow-colored streak PASS me. I shook my head as my grin became a scowl of competition.

Not this time Rainbow Dash.

I withdrew my Buster Rifle and connected them to make the giant cannon. I aimed up into the sky and my A.I. scanned for any life in the skies.

"What are you doing Ben? I though this wasn't the time for target practice, more like a race with your love.", my A.I. said sarcastically.

"Oh god, not you too.", I muttered.

"No life spotted in sky, you are free to fire."

"Great."

The barrel began to charge up as I was heading backwards. More and more light came into the barrels until suddenly, two spheres of light rested on the tips of them, as my A.I. said,"Ready to fire."

"Fire."

Immediately, the Buster Rifle fired the beam of pure light and sent me flying with even greater speed from the kick back. I traveled for a few seconds as I passed right over Rainbow Dash.

For a quick second, I put my hand over my head and made the "L" shape with it. Rainbow Dash's mouth just hung open as I sailed overhead and quickly change into a scowl when I was done passing her. Then, it turned into a look of distress.

"BEN! LOOK OUT!"

"Wha-?"

I didn't even have time to turn around as I crashed through a solid surface of pure stone. Thankfully, if it weren't for my wings facing towards the wall, I would have become yet another bug splatter you see on the windshield of an 18-wheeler. I found myself laying face up inside an observatory with a massive winged-human shaped hole in the wall. Rainbow Dash flew through it with a frightened expression on her face and touched down beside me.

"Ben! Are you okay...?"

...

"Ben! Please speak to me!"

...

"No...Ben..."

I slowly shifted myself and Rainbow Dash suddenly looked into my eyes. I pointed to her.

"I......beat......you......"

In an instant, her face turned into a look that would have sent anything running with its tail between its legs.

"Beat me? BEAT ME?! IS THAT ALL YOU CAN SAY TO ME NOW?! I WAS COMPLETELY WORRIED YOU SERIOUSLY INJURED YOURSELF! WHY DON'T YOU BEAT THIS!"

She then reared up and punched me across the face leaving a massive bruise on my cheek.

I guess I deserved that.

I let out a yelp of pain when her hoof collided with my face. She still had the same pissed off look on her face when she punched me, but her anger quickly died down and was replaced with an expression of concern.

"Omigosh, did I hurt you? Are you already hurt? I'm so sorry!"

"Urg", I said while getting to my feet,"I'm fine. Ya know, you throw a mean punch."

Rainbow Dash's eyes sort of avoided my line of sight, which made me feel terrible. God, why do I screw up on things like these? Probably cause' I'm a waste. We proceeded down the hallways of Canterlot without any other conversation. I tried to look at her a few times, but her eyes would quickly flash to her other side. I hung my head low and my A.I. began to patch through.

"Aw, shame it had to go that way.", the A.I. messaged into my brain for the first time. Feeling very pissed off, I did something that I would most likely be doing a million times.

"Shut off code: 00001"

"Wait, how did you-BZZZT!"

Me and Rainbow Dash continued to walk down the hallway until we got to the doorway that Princess Celestia was standing in front of, flanked by two guards. She smiled at me and urged me to come inside with her. I turned back to Rainbow Dash who was making faces at the guards in order to change their expression. Yeah, good luck. It's pretty much like doing that to a British Royal Guard, who are equivalent to rocks with arms and legs. I came inside and Princess Celestia sat down on a large chair. She picked up a cup of tea with her magic and she took in a sip.

"So, what did you need to see me for?"

She opened one eye in the middle of a sip and she set the cup and plate down.

"Yes. Now Ben, I need to ask you somethings."

"Shot."

"What?"

"It pretty much means go ahead."

"Oh...yes, anyways, have you felt your maturity level change a bit?"

I thought about it before realizing, yes, it has gone down drastically. I never made comments anymore. For instance, I never said "Like a Boss" in my service. And I found myself laughing more often and acting so much more childish.

"Uh, yes. I think it has."

"I think I may know why", Princess Celestia said while walking towards a massive window and staring out of it.

"You appear to be 24 on the outside, but on the inside, you are acting like you are 18 years old."

"What?! How is that possible?"

"I think it may have to do with you arriving in Equestria, but I have been studying you through magic. I have detected nothing alarming about this, but I just wanted to tell you what was happening with you."

I nodded and I looked at the door.

"Anyways, what's going on with you and Rainbow Dash?"

Face palm.

"This is getting ridiculous..."

I opened the door and I saw Rainbow Dash still making faces to the guards, producing no effect. I just walked over to Rainbow Dash and tapped her on the shoulder while she was shaking her head and waving her tongue in front of a guard's face.

"Oh, uh...", she muttered as she avoided eye contact.

"Look, for what it's worth, I'm really sorry for saying that back there. You were really concerned about me and I just knocked you off like that."

"Oh, well, I'm sorry for punching you in the face and yelling at you."

We pulled each other into a hug and Rainbow Dash kissed me on the cheek. I smiled until i heard the guards behind us.

"I knew it!"

"Aw come on."

I slightly opened my eyes and saw one guard hand ten bits to the other while they were watching us. I pulled away and turned towards the guards. I was a little taller than them, so it added some effect.

"Guys, what the fuck."

They both turned their heads to each other and they turned them back to me.

"Shit! Run Iron Shield!", one of the guards said to the other and they both took off down the hallway.

"What was that all about?", Rainbow Dash asked me.

"Beats me.", I lied.

"So, is your costume-"

"-armor"

"Whatever. Is your armor ready for Nightmare Night tonight?"

"Oh yeah, cant wait to see what other costumes ponies have."

"Aw yeah! This is gonna be awesome!"
