Spike, Daring-do, and their men all arrived at the warehouse after a failed attempt on chrysalis’ life. As they walled in defeated. It surprised Spike to see a familiar lavender alicorn in the middle of the room.
“princess on deck!” Spike yelled immediately. Everyone was saluting the princess.
“At ease, this is merely a quick check to see if you all are doing your job,” Twilight said, not really convincing anyone on her real reason.
“Can you give us a moment?” Spike asked his crew.
Everyone went outside, not wanting to be a part of what would happen in the room. As they left. Twilight signal her guards to go with them. As they left, they were giving looks at Spike.
“So how is the investigation going?” Twilight asked nervously.
“I know why you’re here mom or do you prefer princess.” Spike spat
“Look, I know you’re still angry after what I did, but please understand I didn’t mean it.” Twilight said.
“You said I was a waste of your time and that you have more important things to do.” Spike said angrily.
“I didn’t mean it; I was just busy, I couldn’t focus, and it irritated me that I couldn't have any time to myself, but there was still no excuse for what I said.” Twilight said.
“Yeah, there isn’t.” Spike said in a deadpan
“But am so sorry for everything.” Twilight said apologetically
“It doesn't matter, you should get going. The COR won’t take kindly to a princess of a country they are at odds with being here.” Spike said. Trying to get her to leave.
“Ok, but before I go I have two things to say, one I have information on the three targets, two I want to ask if you want to get out of this.” twilight said.
“No, I'm seeing this thought to the end. Why are you asking?” Spike said.
“I don’t like the fact that you put your life on the line. I don’t want you to do this in fact if I didn’t need the best on this. I would have never put you on this.” Twilight admitted.
“Well, I’m not abandoning my men. plus were understaffed as is.” Spike said.
“Please Spike, I don’t want you to get hurt.” Twilight said
“I know what I signed up for and remember you forced me into this.” Spike said
How? Twilight said, confused
“I had to do something to get your attention. You barely gave me any time, hell sometimes I felt like an unpaid intern than your son.” Spike yelled at her
“I’m sorry I know I should have made time for you and I will never forgive myself. But I want to make time for you now. Please work with me here.” Twilight said.
“Fine, after this is over, we can have dinner at my house. My wife is an excellent cook.” Spike said.
“Thank you, Spike. who’s the lucky mare?” Twilight said with a smile.
“You will just have to find out.” Spike said with a cheerful tone for a first time in a while.
“Ok, well here’s the intel on the targets stay safe, Spike.” Twilight said.
“Thanks and I will.” Spike said.
As she handed the file over to her son, she then took her leave. As she left, Spike pulled out a paper and began to read. After a while he pulled out a marker and underlined all the information that was important to the mission.
“Hay, so what are we going to do now, anyway,” woodfire said
“We are going looking for a scientist who has intel on what is a key part of garble’s plan.” Spike said
“May I ask, where should we start?” Gary asked.
Forbidden Forest
Spike, Daring-Do, and Gray Cloud
1400 hours, October 21, 2010
“The scientist is in one of the temples in this forest. We will be split up into two teams. Alpha, and Bravo. Alpha is Daring, Gray, and myself. Bravo is Care, Curly, and Woodfire bravo; takes the temple of Tlatelolco. Alpha; takes temple tehuti.” Spike informed the crew.
“Why are we splitting up, anyway?” Woodfire said.
“The intel wasn’t exacted on the location of the scientist, but we know he is in one of the temples.” Spike said
“Ok then we were almost there.” Care said.
As the train, they were on, slowed down just enough so they could jump off, after that the six of them broke off into their teams of three. alpha going north and bravo went south. As Spike and his two companions were moving through the forest as the three got to a clearing in the trees, they saw eighteen COR soldiers taking things out of a cargo crate.
“What do you think is in those crates?” Daring-Do said in a whisper
“No clue, but whatever it is, we need to find out.” Spike said with the same tone
As Spike and Daring finished Spike pulled out a grenade he pulled the pin and rolled it to a group of four near the edge of the clearing. One of them noticed the grenade and screamed “grenade” in dragon before being blown into pieces by it. With fourteen left. Spike begins to open fire on the group, Spike killed two more as he did so, Daring used her mac-11 and shot two other gray was the most successful he fired his m16 at the and killed six men at that spike and daring picked off the remaining four at the end.
“Ok let's check the crate.” Spike said.
“Good idea.” Daring said
Spike checks the crate and is shocked to find equestrian weapons. As the two are staring at the weapons, Gray was looking around trying to find something that can be a trap once he found nothing. He walked to the duo and said, “we should load up and get moving less we want to end up like thesis men.” he said gesturing at the corpses.
Gray is right, we got to move, Daring take pictures, get any ammo you can find and get moving.” Spike said
“Ok” Daring said
As they wrapped up there, they continued up the path and got to the temple. As they got to the entrance, daring immediately recognized the place. She quickly galloped to spike and pulled him back. As she did so, a trap went off, sending arrows into the other wall.
“How d'you know that was there?” Spike asked suspiciously.
“I had one of my adventures here way back when.” Daring said
“Ok, so you know how to disarm these traps then.” Gray said
“Yeah, if I Can remember all of them.” Daring said.
After several traps Daring was exhausted it had been a long time since she raided a tomb or bin on an adventure. As the three got to the last trap, they saw a couple of C.O.R guards impelled by the spikes.
“The ponies who built this are fucking sadistic.” Spike said
“Yup, but let's not dwell on that and get the egghead.” Daring said tiredly
As the three made their way around the trap, being careful not to fall into the spikes. Gray was not with them. Spike called his name, but there was no response. They decided not to hold their breath and went on without him.
“Ok were here.” Spike said.
“Stop right there!” Daring order as she pointed her gun at a griffon with a white lab coat
“Please don’t hurt me I will give you anything you want.” the griffon said, trembling
“What garble's interest in you?” Daring asked.
“I’m a chemist, he needed me to stabilise a compound he had.” Griffon said.
“What kinda compound.” Spike said grabbing him by the neck.
“I don’t remember.” the Griffon said fear in his voice
“You're lying.” Spike barked
“I swear I'm not.” the Griffon said terrified by the dragon
“Fine, let's say we believe you. What else do you know?” Daring said calmly.
“All I know is that an old stallion was the one to make it.” the griffin said at the brink of tears
“Is that all?” Spike said in a low tone.
“Yes, please let me go.” the Griffin said
As spike was contemplating it he felt a wet sensation at his feet, he looked down to see that the griffin pissed himself. He knocked the griffon and took him with them.
“We are going to turn him into twilight, see what she can get from him.” Spike said
