Twilight woke the next morning lying next to Stature, she stood up and grabbed a few books she had to do some magic study, she had been reading a few books and began learning the magic in those books. She had picked up books on chaos magic as well as dark magic and oddly enough a rare tome on Changeling magic, she had been picking up on this quickly as her partner was about to find out.

With a burst of green flames she transformed into a spiting image of Stature, Stature woke up only to bump into what appeared into a spitting image of himself. Stature blinked “what, how this makes no sense!”

Twilight smiled as she transformed back to her true form and smiled “You told me that your parents were King and Queen of the Minotaurs last night.”

Stature frowned “Twilight how are you using changeling magic?”

Twilight smiled “I have been studying it a lot, it is quite easy.” Her horn glow as a glass of chocolate milk appeared in her hoof which she drinks before she lifts the glass above her mouth which then turns into chocolate milk and she drinks it as well “My special talent is magic, it come to me naturally.”

Stature frowned “Then why do you have those books out?”

Twilight sighed “Dark magic is really complicated and will require me to do some serious study, I may spend quite a bit of time studying it in order to work it out.”

Stature frowned “Be careful, that is the same stuff those cultists use and you saw what that did to them.”

Twilight nodded “That’s why I take time off, I probably could have figured it out by now but I don’t want to lose myself to it so I have breaks between study sessions whether it’s training my body or going on dates with you I need enjoy myself and have fun as well as study, I made that mistake too much during my formative years.”

Stature smiled “Good, see you later I have to find some work to do or else I’ll lose my edge.”

Twilight smiled “Go on, don’t want you going soft on me.” Twilight focused on what was a tome on dark magic by Starswirl the Bearded, she began to read

Dark magic is one of the most complicated form’s of magic, in truth I have only began to uncover the true depth of it’s secrets. It may bring one undone if used incorrectly but if used correctly you can surpass the gods themselves, that is what I believe at least.

As for it’s use dark magic is powered by negativity and in order to control you must control and direct your negative emotions, however if you let you hatred drive you it can control you completely.

Twilight smiled (Good old Starswirl, you have never failed me. Sombra’s diaries may have more on advanced dark magic but they were useless without the basics plus it didn’t help halfway through most of them had him speaking about crystals or his love of stairs, I swear half of his final chapters was devoted to explaining the different types of stairs.)

Twilight focused (Okay negative emotions, I have a lot of those) images of being abandoned by her friends and mentor flooded her mind as her eyes glowed green, purple trails flying out of them as dark purple energy flowed around her horn before firing a dark blast that tore a hole in the wall.

Twilight blinked “Oops” her horn glowed as she cast a repair spell on the wall. Twilight smiled “That was quite powerful, I have a feeling dark magic will a tremendous asset once I get the hang of it.”

Crystal ran in “What in Tartarus was that?!”

Twilight blushed “I was testing out some new magic and it blew a hole in the wall, I fixed it don’t worry.”

Crystal sighed “Twilight I understand you’re the boss but it is not good for business if you keep practising your magic up here, we have a whole underground section for magic practise remember.”

Twilight smiled awkwardly “Right, I’ll head downstairs then I have quite a few spells I’d like to try.” Twilight teleported into the training section for magic which a few unicorns were, they winced “Please don’t flood this section with chocolate milk.”

Twilight frowned “I’m not practising chaos magic, I got a handle on that. What I’m using is a more destructive than that.” The unicorns backed away as her eyes resumed their green colouration as she crafted two shadow orbs from her own pain which she fired, they creating a a massive explosion that shook the entire building, Twilight grinned “That was a test run, I can’t imagine they could do if I put my full power into them.”

Her eyes then glowed a deep green as long purple trails flowed behind them as she turned into a gassy smoke like form, she smiled as she dissapeared in a flash of light appearing back in her room with a grin as she continued to read through Starswirl’s book on dark magic

The more complicated spells are quite dangerous and some start to touch into soul manipulation and more importantly necromancy. Of course there are all the high level attack spells and summon spells, some include Dark Nova a spell that creates a massive explosion of dark energy, Dark Flames which is simply self explanatory as well as the Cerberus and Fell Beast summoning spells.

Twilight continued to practice magic for the rest of the day not realising that her studies will play an important role in the next part of her journey.
