A few weeks had passed, Twilight and Stature had gone on quite a few successful dates finding that they both had a love of drinking often ended up coming back to the guild a little buzzed. Twilight’s studies into dark magic had also paid dividends as she was capable of feats of magic she never thought possible before.

Twilight decided to take a break and visited one of the local pubs as she wanted to spends some time out on the town alone. She grimaced as she tossed a few gold pieces with the Storm King’s head on it across the table “I want a mug of Blitzfire.”

The Barkeep a large dragon grinned “Dragon Ale aye, strong stuff you must be quite a tough one.”

Twilight grinned as she placed the drink on the table and took a swig “Ah that’s the good stuff.” Twilight frowned as she saw a mare with a broken horn, her dark orchid coat matched well with her moderate rose mane.

Twilight frowned at the mare who was drinking “Who is that?”

The Barkeep shrugged “No idea, all I know is she comes here often, has a lot of coin and doesn’t like questions.” Twilight focused back on her drink as the mare trotted into the bathroom, meanwhile a few griffons approached the mare’s mug and dropped a few strange things into it before the mare trotted out.

Twilight had just received a refill of her mug placing a few more coins on the table when she heard a thump, she turned to see the mare lying on the floor and then seeing the three griffons grab the mare and lift her up, Twilight much to the shock of the bartender chugged the mug of Blitzfire before standing up no worse for wear.

She trotted out the back to see the griffons dragging the mare into an alley, Twilight being the smart pony she was knew exactly what they were planning to do. Twilight galloped after them and shouted “I suggest you leave that mare alone!”

The largest one twice her height even if she was standing on her hind legs grinned “Look like a little mare wants to play hero, well let’s show her what …” A hoof slammed into his beak shattering it completely before she crushed his skull with her one of her hind hooves before she darted at the other two crushing their wind pipes and then crushing their skulls as well.

Twilight lifted the clearly drugged mare and carried her back to the base. Twilight carried the mar up the stairs, Stature as well as Lionheart and Bladewing ran over, Stature frowned “What happened and who is this mare she looks familiar?”

Twilight frowned “I have no idea who she is but a few griffons tried to rape her., don’t worry they’re dead now.”

Lionheart and Bladewing scowled “I’m glad you did they bring shame to griffons everywhere”

Twilight frowned “In the meantime I think I’ll treat her condition.”

Stature blinked “What condition?” Twilight rolled her eyes before lifting a hoof to her horn then pointing at the mare’s broken horn, Stature blinked “Oh.”

Twilight frowned “Now let me get to work, we’ll talk later.” Twilight entered her room and levitated the mare onto her bed, before getting out a few books on magic for a little brushing up and a few books on unicorn horns for a the knowledge in it. After a few hours of reading, Twilight was ready, her eyes glowed green with purple trails as her horn glowed with a mix of light purple, green, dark purple and black, she placed her horn on the mare’s broken horn and it began to repair itself becoming a long sharp rose horn that would have been about as long as Luna’s horn.

Twilight sat back and smiled as she took a deep breath, she then trotted out with a smile Crystal smiled “I heard you saved a mare from some griffons, you really are tough.”

Before Twilight could reply she heard shouting coming from inside the room, Twilight shrugged “Looks like our guest is up.”

Twilight entered room to see the mare frowning “Where the fuck am I and why Am I here?!”

Twilight laughed “You’re in the Star Storm Mercenary Base and you were drugged by some griffons in a bar I was in, they were going to rape you, they’re dead now.”

The mare frowned “Why does my head feel so heavy.”

Twilight smiled “Take a look for yourself.”

Twilight levitated a mirror over to her and she gasped as she saw her horn fully restored “How did you do that, even Princess Celestia couldn’t do that?!”

Twilight smiled “The Princesses rely to much on standard pony magic, once you add changeling magic as well as chaos and dark magic a lot more becomes possible” Twilight then rubbed the back of her head “I never got you name.”

The mare smiled “I’m Tempest Shadow, I can’t believe you fixed my horn.”

Twilight smiled “I’m Twilight Sparkle, it’s a pleasure meeting the Storm King’s commander.”

Tempest frowned “The Storm King promised he’d fix my horn and yet he has failed to keep his promise, I was so desperate I expected him to fix it.”

Twilight frowned “Yes can you help me with something?”

Tempest frowned “I owe you a lot but I will not make any promises until I hear what it is.”

Twilight nodded “It’s quite simple, I want to overthrow the Storm King and bring Friendship and Harmony to these lands.”

Tempest blinked “That is crazy you can’t do that it is impossible!”

Twilight smiled “With your help it may not be.”

Tempest frowned “How could I help, I’m just his commander?”

Twilight frowned “It’s quite simple, you will be able to turn his forces against him and free then from his tyrannical rule.”

Tempest blinked “Then we can overthrow him with ease as his forces work for us, that is genius.”

Twilight nodded “The first part of the plan is to get as many of them on side as possible then march to Mount Aris.”

Tempest grinned “If we can get the Hippogriffs on side we can have allies as well.”

Twilight grinned grabbing a blade “Well let’s get to work.” Tempest nodded still grinning the two mares bolted out the door heading off to the local base of the Storm King’s troops ready to begin their plan.
