Two weeks later Stature and Crystal had returned with a another bag of gold for escorting Capper to the wedding. They arrived at their base to see dozens of ponies, dragons and other creature entering and exited the building carrying weapons. They entered to see building with a light purple paint job on the walls as well notice boards for mercenary jobs all over the room.

They headed up a brightly decorated set of stairs to see that top floor’s colour theme matched the lower one and that there were several desks with different creatures filling out paperwork and approving jobs for those below. There was no sign of Twilight upstairs, they headed downstairs again and found there was a pale set of stairs that were heading further down, the two headed down those stairs to see a massive white underground complex full of training machines and gear.

They saw a large amount of mercenaries were surrounding an arena, the walked up beside them to see Twilight standing there with five others, two Dragons and two Minotaurs as well as Pegasus fighting her. Her five opponents were bleeding in several spots, Twilight grinned “Come on and hit me” the five of them rushed at her, she caught the first dragon in the jaw with a knee before slamming her hoof into the pegasus’ face before kicking the, into one of the minotaurs.

The other two quickly surrendered and they were carried out to the medical bay which had a blue cross on a white background, Stature and Crystal gasped at Twilight’s appearance albeit for different reasons, the huge red scar on her chest had faded to a pale brown. Her muscle mass had also increased, it reminded them of what you would expect from a Saddle Arabian War Destrier, she grinned at Stature “I take it you’re impressed.”

Crystal recovered first “How did this happen, you are running a full guild here.”

Twilight frowned “I dealt with a bunch of cultists single-hooved and what I did drew a lot of attention.”

Crystal frowned “Those cultist weren’t all that, we fought ten of them and shouldn’t you have been resting letting those two griffons handle it, they couldn’t have been that dangerous.”

Twilight frowned “There were one thousand of them, of course they would be two much for those two Griffons to handle.”

That snapped Stature out of his stupor as he glared at Crystal “I told you we should have come back.”

Crystal shouted “How I was supposed to know!”

Twilight raised a hoof “Enough” she then turned to Statue and gave him a small kiss “I missed you, now let’s go and eat out somewhere.” Crystal laughed as Twilight dragged the minotaur off with her, Twilight smiled as she dragged him into the diner “You owe me a date.”

The two took a seat on the red stools, Twilight smiled “I would like to try that Fish Soup and some raspberry wine”

Stature smiled “I’ll try the Parmesan Salad for something different and we can share the wine.”

A griffon waiter came over and after they gave their orders for food and drink Twilight asked “Who are your parents, I would like to meet them one day?”

Stature sighed “I’m not exactly in good with them, they didn’t exactly want me to be out here.” Twilight looked at him in confusion, he got up and sat next to her whispering in her ear “My parents are Hammer Blow and Steel Saber.”

Twilight‘s eyes widened before she shook her head before whispering “The King and Queen of Minotaurs.”

Stature nodded “Exactly, they wanted me to succeed them not go off on my own and see combat.”

Twilight frowned “Why did you leave?”

Stature frowned “I am a fighter in my soul, I am not one for the intricacies of politics.”

Twilight nodded “Fair enough, how about we speak about some other more pleasant topics.”

Stature asks with a smile “What it is it like in Equestria, I have only heard tales?”

Twilight smiled “It’s fantastic place, there is a party every other week and laughter and smiles are everywhere.”

Stature asked with a frown “It sounds like a wonderful place so why do you stay here, you could so easily return home?”

Twilight whispers in his ear “I wish to bring friendship here and overthrow the Storm King.”

Stature grinned as he gave her a kiss “That is a mighty ambition, the question is how do you plan on doing that?”

Twilight frowned “I’m not sure but I will find a way.”

Stature grinned as he gave her a kiss “I know you will, now let’s leave plans of the future and focus on the moment.”

The two of them smiled as their food arrived, Stature smiled “To victory and to success.”

Twilight smiled as she tapped her wine glass to his “To victory and success.” The pair continued to drink and laugh the whole night long.
