For those of you that pay close attention to this chapter in particular, will notice a reference to a certain story that is one of my favorites and a very popular sequel. Full credit for that character goes to the writer that brought her story to life.

"HOW COULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN!?" Neighsay was in an uproar the moment he heard about Rainbow's pregnancy, just as the dinosaurs had thought. Within a few hours after the show that stunned Canterlot, he had demanded that the dinosaurs be present at his council, along with the Princesses and the Mane Six for an explanation. Indominus was still at the hospital tending to his exhausted wife, so it didn't help that the king who was supposed to watch over all of Equestria wasn't present at the meeting. Celestia and Luna were trying to calm down the raving chancellor, whose council members were all glaring at the dinosaurs from their seats. They had put up a magical barrier around themselves because they felt like any of the dinosaurs would try to snatch them away and eat them.

"We don't have any control over what the dinosaurs do in their time," Celestia said in a calm voice.

"You're acting as if we were supposed to keep them on chains when they were brought here," Luna added. "I only brought them here to be Scootaloo's guardians, and to give her a better life."

"Then you should've chosen a PONY for the job, Princess. Not a group of savage animals that could kill us all if they felt the need to satisfy their hunger!"

At the chancellor's words, Rexy and the raptors growled at him and his members. Twilight flew up to where the racist pony was and floated in front of him.

"Are you suggesting that Scootaloo should've been left in the care of her parents? The ponies that let loose a dragon that wiped out half of Equestria, and was only stopped by these dinosaurs? The very ones that you think are a threat to our world?"

"That fight only proved how destructive they are, and I was talking to the Princesses, Twilight. You're not a real princess yet." Twilight sank back to the floor with a defeated expression on her face from Neighsay's harsh words.

"Now that's uncalled for, Neighsay," Celestia said as she went to her student's side. "Twilight is right. If it weren't for these dinosaurs, Equestria would've suffered from those two and we'd have more bodies on our shoulders. Plus, need I remind you that Indominus Rex pulled our world back together after Soarin tried to tear it apart?"

"Sheer Cold and Spoiled Rotten didn't cause all that havoc, their dragon burned our world, not those pegasi. Soarin wasn't a pony anymore after he put that hybrid's blood into his own system. He willingly turned himself into a monster and turned his back on ponykind. As for our 'King' pulling our world back together, that wouldn't have happened if he had just let the Wonderbolts kill him the first time."

The Mane Five were furious at the chancellor's words and complete disrespect for their saviors, and Celestia and Luna were appalled that a pony would speak so harshly in front of them. Tyrannosaurus charged forward and rammed the stand in anger. The force of the attack shook the stands and knocked Neighsay off balance. He would've tumbled over the edge if his fellow members hadn't caught him and held him up again.

"You've got a lot of nerve talking about us like that, after all we've done for this world and Scootaloo, you have the gall to call us savages?" Tyrannosaurus glared at Neighsay, who stared defiantly at the carnivore. Blue ran up Rexy's back and stood atop the dinosaur's head. She barred her teeth at the defiant pony, wishing she could tear through the barrier and rip him apart for talking about their family like that.

"Are you saying Equestria would be better off if we had never come here and just left Scootaloo to be at the mercy of her DNA doners?"

"That's a matter for the proper ponies to handle, not creatures with one track minds. Besides, she would've been placed in an orphanage after her parents were found out, at least until proper parental figures came along to decide her future." Delta leaped onto Rexy's back and she too glared at the arrogant chancellor.

"An orphanage? That's your idea of a good future for Scootaloo, after what she's had to deal with," the raptor said as she glanced back at the orange filly, who was being comforted by Echo and Charlie. "Her fate is not yours to decide."

"See what I'm talking about, Princesses. Your so-called saviors are getting riled up from this conversation alone. Don't even know why I'm wasting my breath talking to them." Luna flew up until she was beside Rexy's head.

"It's because you're talking about the life of an innocent filly like she's disposable. I don't regret bringing any of the dinosaurs here, since they've done a much better job looking after Scootaloo than those scoundrels ever could."

"Regardless of your choice, it affects us all. Now we have to worry about these animals, and their hybrid leader hunting down innocent ponies if even the slightest thing upsets them. Speaking of which, where is that white abomination? Shouldn't the 'King of Equestria' be here when I wanted all of his kind present?"

"Don't you know that a devoted husband never leaves his wife in her time of need? Especially when she's pregnant?" The voice caught Neighsay off-guard, until he turned and saw Discord materialize right next to him. The Lord of Chaos looked distraught, like he had heard everything coming from the chancellor's mouth too.

"Oh great. First these animals, now the original hybrid mess that put Equestria into chaos. I swear our world will be polluted with your kind before too long."

"My my, such language. If I weren't so evolved thanks to my good friend, I might decide to take everything you said personally. Besides, you really shouldn't speak about your king in such a manner. He didn't take kindly to the last pony that did."

Celestia saw something materializing behind the council members out of the wall, and her eyes grew wide when she saw it was a long white arm. Its' claws extended out and slowly drawing back for what looked like a swing. Luna caught sight of it too, but before she could get out a warning...

"What's he gonna do about it," Neighsay said.

"You're about to find out," Discord replied before he disappeared and the massive arm swung at Neighsay.

The force of the attack sent him flying against the wall. His members rushed to his aid to help him up, but when they turned their attention back to the dinosaurs, a portal had appeared behind them. The portal looked like it connected with a hospital room, with three pegasi staring out from inside. Windy, Bow and Fluttershy were all angry themselves, and Rainbow could be heard saying "nice shot honey" from within the room. Indominus stepped through the portal and headed right for the barrier.

"Move brother!" T-Rex and the ponies scooted as best as they could to the side to give Indominus room as the hybrid charged inside. He brought a flame-covered fist up to the barrier and shattered it with a single blow. Then in one swift motion, grabbed the stunned chancellor in his free hand and brought him up to eye level.

"Don't hurt him, Indominus. He's too much of an important pony to lose, even if he is being a complete racist at the moment," said Celestia.

"Relax Celestia, I'm not going to hurt him. I'm just going to give my opinion on this little matter that I haven't been able to attend, because my wife's health comes first."

"Then go easy on him, he seems rather slow at understanding what your brother and sisters have been telling him since this meeting started," said Luna.

"Oh don't worry Luna, I'll make it really easy for him to understand." The hybrid dinosaur turned his attention back to the chancellor that had been chastising his family. The council members could only watch with baited breath as they worried what Indominus was going to do with Neighsay.

"You've brought a curse upon our kind when you got the Element of Loyalty pregnant. Now Equestria has to prepare for the birth of the abomination that you helped create," Neighsay said to the hybrid's face.

"That 'abomination' is my daughter. She's my flesh and blood just as much as she is Rainbow's. One day, she will be a guardian just like me, my brother and sisters. She will defend our home alongside us when she's old enough, and I expect you to treat her with respect. We didn't come back to life to be insulted by the likes of you, and I certainly didn't revive Rainbow Dash so she could be criticized for having my child."

"What's your point, hybrid? Her birth will just be another atrocity walking arou-" Neighsay was cut off when Indominus tightened his grip on the unicorn. The hybrid dinosaur opened his jaws and a low, deep roar bellowed from within. Rexy got up alongside his brother with all four raptors along his back. The raptors leaped onto the stands and stared menacingly upon the captive unicorn. All six dinosaurs glared at Neighsay as Indominus eased his tight grip on the unicorn. The ponies watched the tense exchange take place nervously, while Discord chowed on a bag of popcorn from a movie seat overhead.

"The point is, we aren't your enemy," Blue said.

"We are here to be Scootaloo's family, and we are not about to spill anymore pony blood after dealing with Soarin," said Rexy.

"You have an issue with us being here then you can complain all you want, but we're not going to be taken away again," Delta added.

"We're Scootaloo's family, and if you try to have us taken away, you'll have a fight on your hooves. One that you will lose, just like Soarin did," said Charlie.

"The ponies in your world look up to us and we protect them. We only hunt in the Everfree Forest, we're not mindless animals that constantly kill for pleasure," said Echo.

"I may have been like that at one point, but these ponies changed me and gave us a new purpose in life. If anypony hurts our family, then it's their own fault when blood gets spilled," Indominus said.

"Bottom line, Neighsay, you go after our girls or any pony we care about, then we'll be back and you will be sorry," Rexy finished.

Neighsay just continued to glare arrogantly at the dinosaurs, then with one flash of his horn, he had teleported himself out of Indominus's grip and back onto the stands, above the raptors. The other council ponies walked precariously around the velociraptors and joined the surprisingly unshaken chancellor.

"Mark my words, Princesses, and you too, Twilight. One day these animals will bring about the end of our world, and they'll be devouring your bodies while I'll be telling you I told you so," Neighsay said before he conjured a portal of his own and stepped through it with his councilponies.

"Eat us, don't forget to write, ya wretched excuse for a pony," Discord said after Neighsay disappeared.

"I can't believe he would talk about them like that. Who does that ruffian think he is," said Rarity.

"Neighsay has never been one for accepting other creatures," Celestia said as the dinosaurs got ready to leave through the portal Discord had left open that connected with the hospital. "He still believes that unicorns should be the dominant ones among other ponies. So having dinosaurs living amongst ponykind has left him rather irritated and racist, I hate to admit."

"He'd better not give our dinosaurs any trouble," said Applejack. "They've already dealt with their fair share of problems, especially Indominus."

"He might be a chancellor, but there's not much he can do to them. Their guardians now, and that puts them above Neighsay's rank. Plus, Indominus is the King of Equestria. Neighsay has no power or authority against him, and that would be considered treason if he even tried." Indominus didn't respond as he stepped past the Princesses, wanting to get back to Rainbow Dash pronto.

"That was quite a deal of restraint you all showed against him. Considering how he spoke about your family," Luna said as the dinosaurs walked past her, hoping they weren't too bitter about Neighsay's harsh words.

"We've had a long time to develop our tolerance and patience," Blue said calmly.

"Let's just hope he leaves my son and daughter alone when they are born," said Indominus.

"Son?"

"You ladies are gonna want to see what we discovered," Discord said as they entered the hospital room and he closed the portal.

Once they were all in the hospital room, with Rexy and the raptors standing outside for leg room, Discord told the Princesses everything they had discovered. The sight of the child and the coiling black shape in the ultrasound left everypony stunned, just like Rainbow and her parents when they had seen it the first time.

"Can you even tell what that shape is, Discord?"

"I'm not looking in there again, Celestia. When I tried before, it was like that thing could sense I was watching it, and it drove me out with the most evil red eyes I've ever seen."

"At least it explains why you look more exhausted than a pregnant pony should, Rainbow," Luna said as she glanced at Rainbow's huge stomach.

"It also means that Rainbow's gonna be a mommy to maybe, two hybrid babies," Pinkie said eagerly.

"We'll have to make time to throw you a baby shower too," Rarity added.

"Thanks for the thought girls, but I'll need to rest for a while before we do that," Rainbow said sleepily.

"What do you suggest we do on this matter, Celestia," Indominus asked. The revelation had him even more concerned for Rainbow's health. Celestia could see the nervousness in the hybrid's eyes, since this was his first time dealing with child birth.

"The best thing for you to do is to keep an eye on this as it progresses through the months. We won't know what it is until the time comes for Rainbow to give birth. But I have to warn you Indominus," Celestia pulled him over to a private section of the room. Discord fluttered his ear overhead so he could listen in on the conversation too. "Let's hope that this other hybrid decides to wait a while. Because if Rainbow tries to give birth to both of them, there's a chance that she might not make it through the procedure."

Once again, Indominus felt as if another massive weight had just been dropped on him and his heart had taken yet another strong hit. Discord's eyes shrunk when he heard the news too.

"You mean...she could die from giving birth? Is that possible?"

"It's actually a lot more common than you think. Giving birth is one of the most stressful times in a pony's life. Having one foal uses up most of their energy in the nine months that lead up to the actual birth. When the foal is born, the mother is very weak afterwards, and in some rare cases, becomes so weak that she can't get back up and dies. Among those cases, twins put at least double the pressure on the mother, and I've seen situations where she had to be cut open for both to be born, and only one foal survived."

The hybrid's eyes dropped at the idea of Rainbow having to be cut open just so she could give birth to his children. He looked back over at his girl, who was surrounded by her parents and friends and being congratulated on the news. He could almost see in his mind her bleeding out on the hospital bed with her stomach cut open, and the lifeless bodies of his children beside her.

"So then in my case, hybrid foals will put more than the usual kind of pressure and stress on Rainbow, and could end in her dying all over again?"

"Sorry to tell you this, Indominus, but if Rainbow's this exhausted this early in the pregnancy, then it's going to be one heck of a ride for her when the time comes. Plus, it might be something your Worldbreaker healing powers won't be able to heal. These are the risks that come with child birth, not everything can be handled with brute force, and not everything can be brought back to life."

"It's not meant to bring down your hopes for a daughter of your own, Indominus, it's just to prepare you for what might happen," Luna whispered to him after joining the conversation.

"But Ra told me that she would be born, he gave me his word."

"He didn't say that you would have a son too, did he?" Indominus shook his head slowly. "Not even gods can know everything, indominus. It's just a natural part of life, sometimes you have to accept what life hands you at times," said Luna.

Indominus nodded in acknowledgement, his brain processing and accepting the grave reality of the situation Rainbow Dash was in. Now he really needed to keep an eye on her health more than ever.

Rainbow was instantly on maternity leave now that she knew what the cause of her exhaustion was. During the next three months she didn't leave the castle without the dinosaurs by her side, especially because her extended belly was making flight more difficult to maintain. She only did short flights to avoid overexerting herself or becoming too tired and passing out again. Indominus was spending most of his time checking on her, just in case there were any changes. At times he kept a hand underneath her stomach if she started to drop too low. Just walking Scootaloo to school looked like one of the most bizarre sights to the ponies that saw them. But there were some issues that were remarkably easy for Indominus to handle.

One issue was Rainbow's growing craving for meat. When the dinosaurs had to go out and hunt for food, her friends were around to keep her company until they came back. The dinosaurs would return with fresh blood on their snouts, and Rexy and Indominus would both be carrying the bodies of Manticores into the bedroom. The instant Rainbow caught sight of the manticores, she was drooling in anticipation and started chowing down on a fresh arm that Indominus gave her. Fluttershy had to shy away from the gruesome feeding when Rainbow got more savage with her eating and moved onto more body parts. Blue took notice of something different about Fluttershy that caught her attention, and thankfully gave the pegasus something to distract her from the feeding.

"You're showing signs too, aren't you, Fluttershy?"

"How did you notice?"

"Well, your stomach is looking similar to what Rainbow's looked like three and a half months ago. Are you and Discord really that far along in your relationship?"

"He asked me one night if I was alright with doing it, and he was really gentle. That moment was very nice, and now he's preparing the house for when our baby will arrive. He was acting nervous when he first found out about our baby, but after seeing what Indominus is going through, he's backed off on keeping a constant eye on me."

"But he still worries about you?"

"Immensely so, but it's his way of showing that he cares about my well-being, as much as our baby's."

"Wouldn't it be nice if your child was born at the same time as Rainbow's," Delta added after she spotted her sister talking with Fluttershy.

"I'm not sure if that's possible, Delta. I'm only three months along at the most, Rainbow's over five months. There's no way that we could give birth at the same time."

"Just remember, Fluttershy, we're not dealing with ordinary offspring. We're all dealing with hybrids, and they're unpredictable," Delta said as she looked back at Rainbow feasting like a savage animal.

"You should expect the unexpected in this case, Fluttershy. It'll make this a lot easier for you than it has been for our brother," said Blue.

Rainbow finished her feast on the carcass and Indominus hauled the remains off the bed before he devoured them himself. He left the untouched manticore in the far corner of the bedroom, for if his kids were born, they would want to eat right away. Rarity was completely repulsed at how Rainbow had eaten a dead animal.

"Darling that was completely atrocious. Haven't you any manners?"

"Sorry Rarity, I had such a craving for meat that I couldn't ignore it. I think all that meat made them very happy," Rainbow said as she rubbed her stomach.

"I think they were just looking for something to sink their teeth into," said Indominus as he gently placed a hand on her stomach.

"How have you been doing these last few months, Rainbow?"

"Tired, but I'm still able to get around, Twilight. Also, why is Fluttershy over by the hot tub with Blue and Delta?"

"Well, you were devouring part of a dead animal in front of her. I'm sure it was pretty traumatic for her to see you like that," said Rarity. Rainbow blushed embarrassingly at realizing just how bad her manners had been.

"Not one ta point out the obvious, but ya were eatin' like a starved Timberwolf," said Applejack.

"Even I don't stuff food down that fast, and coming from me that's saying something," said Pinkie.

"That's what happens when you've been given part of your husband's DNA, Pinkie."

"We're ready for when our new sister decides she wants to be born," said Scootaloo.

The Family of a Lifetime thought they were prepared for the birth, but the arrival would catch them all by surprise.

Four more months into the pregnancy and Rainbow's stomach had grown to where she couldn't even fly anymore. It was now barely dragging along the ground, and Indominus had to help her with walking up steps. The offspring had been taking up so much of her reserves that she had even paled slightly and was a dull light blue. After Scootaloo had spread the word to the others, they realized that Rainbow was house-ridden and could give birth any day without any warning. So they decided to hold a double baby shower at the castle, since Fluttershy was more than seven months into her own pregnancy.

The next morning, when Rainbow woke up, she found her friends by the bed holding gifts. She even noticed the CMC were with Scootaloo and that Spike and Discord were even holding gifts of their own. The purple dragon had grown slightly over the last nine months, now he was almost at Discord's height.

"Hey girls," Rainbow said sleepily as she tried to shake the sleep from her eyes. "What time is it?"

"It's past eleven, darling."

"We weren't sure if you were going to wake up, but Indominus insisted that we let you sleep a little longer," said Twilight. Rainbow took notice of the numerous gifts that her friends had brought with them.

"What's with all the gifts? It's not my birthaversary yet."

"We decided to hold a double baby shower for you and Fluttershy," said Applejack.

"Scootaloo told us how you could barely get around, so we decided to bring the shower to you," said Spike.

"Now, let's get my lovely wife up there so we can get this shower going. Though I don't see why they even need to have one," Discord said in confusion. His response was giggles and laughter from the Mane Six.

"Oh honey, it's not that kind of shower," Fluttershy said as Discord helped her onto the bed.

Rainbow could finally see how much Fluttershy's stomach had grown as well. Sitting side by side, it was easy for the guests to see which mare was more likely to give birth first. Rainbow's stomach was vastly bigger than Fluttershy's and the pale color on her face was even more proof.

"Sorry that I couldn't get you a gift, Flutters."

"It's alright Rainbow, we've both been preoccupied lately. Neither of us have been able to go out and shop."

"I wonder if our kids will have the same birthday."

"Blue and Delta said the same thing to me four months ago. I'm still not sure myself."

"All we can do is hope for the best." Those words had more of an impact on Indominus than the others. With his wife facing birth at any day now, all he could do to keep himself together and not imagine the worst case scenario, was to hope that everything would work out.

"Alright, so who wants to give their gift first," Indominus said hoping he could take his mind off of the inevitable.

Pinkie was the eager mcbeaver that wanted to go first. Discord conjured up a set of stairs on either side of the bed so the girls could give the gifts to the proper mother to be. Rainbow and Fluttershy received packages wrapped up in pink, with rainbows and butterflies decorated on each one to tell them apart.

"Sorry that there isn't a second gift included, Rainbow. I wasn't sure if you were going to have two kids or not."

"That's alright, Pinkie, none of us know for certain how many kids I'll be having," Rainbow said as she ripped open her gift. She was surprised to find an animal mobile decorated with smaller versions of some of the beasts from the Everfree Forest.

"This one was tricky to find, but I thought it would be perfect for your daughter since she's going to be part dinosaur."

"It is perfect, Pinkie. It'll help peak her dinosaur side when she gets older," Rainbow said as she twirled the mobile in front of her.

Fluttershy found a yellow, orange and green propeller beanie in her box. Rainbow raised an eyebrow at the peculiar hat her best friend was holding.

"I spotted that hat while shopping for Rainbow Dash and I thought it would look so cute on your baby, Fluttershy. I couldn't think of a hat that would suite Rainbow's baby, that's why I went with the mobile. Do you like it?"

"I think it looks adorable, Pinkie," Fluttershy said and Pinkie squealed in excitement. Discord levitated the hat and mobile over to him and Indominus so they could look over the gifts themselves.

"I could definitely see your child wearing a hat like this, Discord," said Indominus.

"I second that, Indominus, and your gift could get your daughter curious and eager for the thrill of a hunt in the Everfree Forest."

"Once she's old enough to hunt alongside her family that is," Indominus replied.

"My turn," Rarity said as she levitated her purple gifts to Rainbow and Fluttershy.

Both pegasi found six sets of foal sized pajamas inside their boxes, with some major differences between them. While both sets were foal-sized and the same colors, each one of the pajamas that Rainbow had had three small holes around the front of where each hoof would be. Each one also had a long extension at the back to cover what would most likely be a dinosaur's tail. Each pajama also bore a resemblance to every member of the family, with color streaks resembling each dinosaur and orange and purple streaks resembling Scootaloo.

"Even though I know that your baby is going to be a girl, I wasn't sure exactly how well she'd fit into them. Since she'll be part dinosaur, I didn't want her to wear ruined pjs. That's why they have all those holes," Rarity explained.

"They look pretty cool, Rarity. Plus, I'm digging the streaks for the dinosaurs. Indominus, Rexy, girls, get over here and get a good look at these."

The dinosaurs walked over to the bed to get a better look. Blue, Echo, Charlie and Delta all marveled at how their colors had been made into metallic streaks along the body and legs of the pajamas. Rexy's colors had been incorporated in the form of the red colors from his Guardian state. Indominus's colors were easily identifiable by the shimmering golden streaks from his Worldbreaker state. Scootaloo could see her own colors right alongside each streak and was happy that had been included in each design.

"I love them," said Scootaloo.

"Your daughter's going to look great in those, Indominus," said Rexy.

"I love how you put all of us into these, Rarity," said Indominus. Rarity blushed at the praise Scootaloo and the dinosaurs gave her for the pajamas. She then turned her attention to Fluttershy.

"Same thing goes for yours, Fluttershy. Since Discord didn't give me any hints as to what your child will be like, I had to make a wild guess on yours too."

"Hey, it ain't my fault that the kids don't want me peeking," Discord said defensively as Rarity stared at him. "First that black shape scares me out of Rainbow, and now when I found out Fluttershy was pregnant, I got met with a similar response and got blocked out without seeing anything. I swear it's like the new generation doesn't want me messing with them before they're even born."

"They still look lovely, Rarity, and I'm sure our baby will look adorable in them too," said Fluttershy.

Twilight's gift was a pair of books that she felt were ideal for each parent. For Fluttershy, her pair of books were full of fairy tales courtesy of Miss Cheerilee's collection. For Rainbow Dash her books were ones that the pegasus loved to death, and could read to her child and her family for hours on end: a pair of Daring Do's more recent adventures. Rainbow perked up and seemed more energized upon seeing the books. It was the only time where the pegasus was ecstatic to have any books in her possession.

"Thank you so much Twilight," Rainbow said as she gently hugged her friend, who delicately returned the affection as best she could. "These will help my daughter fall asleep and dream about Daring Do's adventures."

"Glad you like it so much, Rainbow. If she's anything like you, she'll want you to read it many times over," Twilight replied as she let go of Rainbow Dash.

"That's what I'm counting on."

Spike's gift was a blanket that he had put together with Rarity's help. It had Rainbow's and Scootaloo's cutie marks stitched into the corners with the dinosaurs' colors going through and across the entire blanket. They were teeth lining around the outer area, and as a bonus, it had been made bigger in anticipation for if Rainbow did give birth to two babies, so they could share the blanket. Fluttershy's blanket had her cutie mark etched into it along with different colored lightning bolts, chaos spirals and a few tornadoes to resemble Discord.

Discord's gift was rather unique to Fluttershy. In a black and white gift box he handed her, Rainbow was genuinely surprised to see a stretchy, large toy lizard inside.

"Just a little something I wanted to get for that black shape inside you. If it does get born, I wouldn't want the little hybrid to feel left out."

"Wow. Thanks Discord, that's actually really thoughtful of you."

"Think of it as a gift from one hybrid to another."

"That just leaves Applejack and the CMC," said Indominus.

"Oh goody, Ah've been waitin' for this," Applebloom said eagerly.

"Ain't that the truth, sis. All of us had a helping hoof in these, and they were a lot of work to get finished,' Applejack said as she exited the room. The others followed her and when they came back into the room pushing the last of the gifts, Rainbow and Fluttershy's eyes went wide in amazement.

The girls pushed in a pink crib that was decorated with yellow roses and red apples. Spike hauled in an even larger crib that was big enough to hold a hybrid pony and a hybrid dinosaur. It was colored cyan, decorated with orange and purple lightning bolts and had the mouths of the dinosaurs painted on the sides. Everypony took notice of the happy tears forming in their friends eyes.

"These took a lot of work to do, and each of us wanted to make sure we had a hoof in them," said Applejack.

"Thank you girls, and you too, Spike. These look simply lovely," said Fluttershy.

"Our kids are gonna have the most awesome aunts, and the coolest uncles," Rainbow added.

"Aw shucks, you're welcome girls," said Spike.

The baby shower was a complete success and Indominus was relieved that nothing bad had happened to Rainbow. The experience had shown him how families could grow and bond closer when new arrivals were on the way. But as much as the hybrid was sure he'd be ready for the new arrival, nothing could prepare him for when the babies decided they were ready to be born.

It was early the next morning after the baby shower, the sunlight was just starting to change the sky from night to day. The family was sleeping soundly in their home with not a sound being heard throughout the entire castle. Suddenly, Indominus and everyone else were jolted awake by an ear-splitting scream of pure agony. The hybrid dinosaur was up and alert, trying to find the source of the shriek that had disturbed his slumber. What he found was Rainbow clutching her bulging stomach, her eyes were shut like she was experiencing the worst pain in her life and the screams were coming from her.

"Rainbow? What's wrong?"

"I-it's our daughter......I THINK SHE'S COMING!!"

At those words. Indominus bellowed a roar so loud that it echoed throughout the castle and alerted everyone that something was terribly wrong. Almost immediately afterwards, Tyrannosaurus burst through the bedroom door with the raptors and Scootaloo trailing right behind him. Once they caught sight of Rainbow in pain, they too realized that the time had come.

"What do you want us to do, brother?"

"I'm getting Rainbow to the hospital while all of you sound the alarm and fill the others in on what's happening. Once you fill them in, get them to the hospital immediately." Indominus delicately picked up Rainbow, trying to be as gentle with her as he could. It pained him to see her in an agony that he couldn't do anything to help ease. "It's going to be ok, Rainbow."

"I...trust you....just...help me," Rainbow said as she tried to breath while waves of pain coursed through her.

Indominus flew off towards the hospital at the best speed he could use without putting anymore stress on Rainbow Dash. As he zoomed through Ponyville, the citizens were startled by how fast he was moving and the gale force winds he produced in his wake sent carts tumbling over on end.

"Sorry everyone! Rainbow's giving birth and I can't slow down," Indominus yelled as he decreased his size as the hospital came into view.

The staff were caught off-guard when Indominus came barging in through the front doors roaring at the top of his lungs. The doctors and nurses came running at the sound of his roar, many of them stumped why Indominus would be in the hospital.

"What's wrong, Indominus," asked Nurse Redheart.

"My daughter's coming!"

"But that's impossible. There should be another two months before the baby should be ready."

"Did you forget that my daughter is a hybrid!? Hybrids are unpredictable, I should know since I am the first one!"

The doctors didn't want to argue with a stressed hybrid dinosaur, but the strained look on Rainbow's face and seeing actual movement poking from within the stomach told them that something was taking place inside. They brought out a stretcher for Indominus to place Rainbow on and they wheeled her over to the maternity ward with the dinosaur following close behind.

Meanwhile, Tyrannosaurus, the raptors and Scootaloo were in the center of Ponyville, sending their alarms out over the town. They were hoping that Twilight and the others would hear the roars and come running to where they were. It didn't take more than a minute for Blue to spot Twilight heading for them, but she spotted the others following behind her as well. They already seemed to be in quite a panic themselves, and Scootaloo spotted something out of place: Fluttershy wasn't with them.

"Twilight, are you ponies heading for the hospital," Scootaloo asked as she and the dinosaurs took off after the running ponies.

"How'd you guess?"

"Because Indominus is already at the hospital."

"Wait a minute, Scootaloo. Rainbow's at the hospital too?"

"Too? Who else is in the hospital," asked Blue.

"Fluttershy," said Rarity. "Discord left us all notes less than twenty minutes ago saying that her baby was ready to come out. Now you're saying that Rainbow is giving birth too?"

"Yes," said Echo as she fell behind to answer Rarity's question. "We were all woken up by her screams this morning. She looked like she was in so much pain that she couldn't even open her eyes. Indominus took her off to the hospital and he should be there by now."

The rag tag group were within sight of the hospital, but before they could get through the doors, a pair of loud cries flooded their ears. Scootaloo's ears fell flat at the sound of Rainbow's scream and her heart seemed to stop as the cry vibrated through her body.

"WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO THEM!?"

"RAINBOW DASH!!!" Scootaloo barreled right through the double doors, barely missing destroying them in the process.

Everypony and dinosaur followed after her, fear and anxiety eating at their minds as the echoes of the screams rattled in their heads. Twilight teleported to the front desk, eyes wide and sweating nervously.

"Are they alive? Tell me they made it through!"

"Easy Princess Twilight, their doctors should be- Ah. Here they are now."

Nurse Redheart and Doctor Strongheart came out into the main room, and spoke in a calm and clear voice to answer the question nagging at everypony.

"Miss Fluttershy and Miss Rainbow Dash are recovering in the same room down the hall. They have both successfully given birth to healthy baby girls and they are in excellent conditions."

"Aw, that's so adorable and exciting," said Scootaloo.

"It's a real baby boom," said Pinkie.

"It was rather surprising that their deliveries were nearly at the same time when they came in."

"When will we get to see them," asked Scootaloo.

"In a few hours when their mothers are sleeping. Though we will need to keep Rainbow Dash overnight," said Redheart.

"What? Why does she need to stay," asked Applejack.

Over in the bedroom, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were holding their newborn babies with their husbands standing beside their beds. Fluttershy's baby was a pink earth pony with a purple and white mane. Rainbow's baby was a teal colored pegasus, but she had some very distinguishable dinosaur features. Her ears were pointed, just like her mother's in Worldbreaker form. Her wings were more like a batpony's, long, thin and scaly compared to the feathered wings of a regular pegasus. Her mane was a messy rainbow mane, just like her mother's. She even had small claws on her hooves, small sharp teeth jutting out from under her upper lip, and a small, long, slender dinosaur tail.

"You called it on this one, Discord," Indominus said as he admired his daughter's appearance.

"She looks so beautiful," Rainbow said as she gently stroked her mane.

"At least yours has the best from both of you, this little pink pony has nothing that resembles either of us."

"But didn't you say that you didn't want our baby to be judged like you were," asked Fluttershy.

"Yes I did say that, but-"

"Don't take this moment for granted, Discord," Indominus said, cutting off his friend before he said something that Fluttershy might find offensive.

The babies began to stir and slowly started opening their eyes. Fluttershy saw that her baby's eyes were pure spirals, with no traces of pupils. Rainbow's baby had red eyes that were similar to hers, but as she stared at them for a while, she saw them switch into slit pupils like Indominus, and then changed back to normal.

"Do you think she'll be able to control that when she grows up?"

"I'm sure she will, Rainbow. But her eyes look amazing either way."

"We're officially mothers, Rainbow Dash," said Fluttershy.

"Indeed we are, Fluttershy, and do you know what this means? Our kids get to have the same birthday." Discord's face brightened up at the prospect of a combined birthday.

"Ooohhhh, does this mean that I get to make the party real big?"

"Yes, just as long as you don't go too overboard, Discord. We want our girls to have a good birthday, not be terrorized from too much excitement all at once," said Fluttershy.

"When they're older then you can make the parties bigger," said Rainbow.

"I can work with that," Discord replied.

Rainbow's daughter picked up the various scents around her and tried leaning towards Indominus when she found his scent. He leaned in towards her so she could get a better look at her father, and he was greeted with her giving him a small lick on the nose.

"Aw, she already knows who her father is," said Fluttershy.

"They both look cute to me." The deep voice startled everypony, until they saw a familiar face in the window.

Tyrannosaurus had stepped outside the hospital once the doctors had told him which room his brother was in. He also approved of how Rainbow's daughter had turned out. Then out of nowhere, both babies started crying.

"Rexy! Look what you did, you scared them," Discord snapped.

"He didn't do anything Discord," Fluttershy said appallingly at him. She held her baby close to see what was wrong, and could swear she heard a tiny rumble from her stomach. "I think she's hungry."

"Same with our girl. Rexy, fetch the manticore from the castle and bring it here."

"On it, Rainbow." Tyrannosaurus was about to take off, but the second he turned around, he found the manticore corpse standing at his feet. "Uh, never mind. It's already here. Discord, did you bring it here?"

"I didn't do it." Discord then saw a bottle of chocolate milk materialize out of nowhere. It caught Fluttershy by surprise too.

"Discord, she was just born. She shouldn't have chocolate milk yet." Fluttershy tried to pull the bottle away, but her daughter held onto it like a steel trap.

"But I didn't give her that either," Discord said as he levitated a chunk of the corpse that Rexy had torn off towards Indominus without taking his eyes off his daughter.

They watched in shock as the chocolate milk disappeared from the bottle, and when the baby tossed it aside, the bottle turned into a tiny explosion. Discord's eyes widened in happiness and his face grew a huge smile.

"Aw, she's got my talents and my old tricks. You're such a little trickster, yes you are, yes you are," Discord said playfully as he tickled the little mare with his paw.

Rainbow and Indominus had been watching the scene taking place, and they were caught off guard when their daughter leaped into the air and clamped down on the meat in the hybrid's hand. The action made everypony turn at the teal filly dangling in the air with her teeth clamped on the meat, and Fluttershy's daughter found it funny. She liked the unique playful nature that the hybrid pony seemed to have and wondered what else she could do. Indominus lowered his hand so he could set his daughter back on the bed, and released his grip on the meat.

"Isn't it too soon for her to be having meat, Rainbow?"

"Not in this case, Fluttershy. She's part dinosaur and should be able to handle meat at such a young age," Rainbow said as she watched her daughter tear off a small piece and teeth on it.

"We were able to handle meat when we were born," said Rexy.

"Though you have to admit, she was pretty quick with that bite. Almost like a viper pulling a sneak attack." Indominus's eyes locked on Discord's and the Lord of Chaos wondered if he had said something that had offended his friend.

"Say that again, Discord."

"What? That your daughter was like a viper when she grabbed that meat?" A smile started to spread across the dinosaur's face.

"You just gave me the perfect name for our girl! We'll call her Viper!"

"It sounds perfect, brother. A nice name with some intimidation and authority behind it, just like ours," said T-Rex.

"Viper. Cute and a little deadly, it definitely fits her," Rainbow said as Viper finished eating the meat. Mother and daughter locked eyes as Viper stared up at Rainbow. "What do you think sweetie? Do you like the name Viper?"

Everypony watched as Viper managed to get up on all four legs by herself. Indominus gave her a tiny nudge to see if she really could walk. She started making very tiny steps towards Rainbow and held her tail out to balance herself. Indominus could feel himself tearing up with pride as she made it to Rainbow's face and answered her mother with a small lick.

"I think she likes her new name, Rainbow."

"Then it's settled. Welcome to our family, Viper," Rainbow said as her daughter curled up into a ball and purred softly.

Indominus grabbed the blanket and draped it over Viper as she fell asleep curled up next to Rainbow's face. They gently nuzzled their daughter while trying not to wake her up. Fluttershy was tearing up too while her family watched the beautiful moment and her daughter tried to mimic what Viper was doing.

"I think she's already taken a liking to Viper, Indominus," Discord said as he watched his daughter curl up next to Fluttershy's face. Indominus looked up and gave a small laugh from watching the filly attempting to mimic his daughter.

"I'll bet she was the one who brought that carcass here," Rexy added.

"She's quite the clever screwball, isn't she, Discord?" The draconequess's face lit up when the word escaped Indominus's mouth.

"My friend, now YOU'VE given ME the perfect name for our daughter. Screwball and Viper, the daughters of the hybrid friends."

"Screwball? Isn't that calling our baby crazy with a name like that?"

"Have you forgotten about what my name means?"

"Plus Fluttershy, my husband's name literally translates to "Untamable King." Having a name like Screwball isn't so bad."

"Not to mention their daughter's name is also a type of snake," said Rexy.

"Alright, you do make a fair point. Welcome to the world, Screwball." Fluttershy gave her daughter a small kiss as she too fell asleep.

Rainbow heard another rumbling in the room, but it wasn't from Viper this time, it was her husband's stomach.

"You didn't get a chance to hunt this morning, did you," Rainbow whispered. Indominus smiled sheepishly, in all the commotion he hadn't gotten the chance to hunt for himself. "Go on, get yourself some grub. I'll be fine."

"Are you sure," Indominus asked, glancing down at her stomach, which was still rather large.

"Don't worry about me, I'll sleep for a while myself and Fluttershy can keep me company until we get to go home. Now go and get some tasty Manticore, and can you bring me some later too?"

"Of course, Rainbow," Indominus said as he gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"Why don't you go and have some fun too, Discord? It'll get very boring for you to be in here the whole time."

"Are you sure you'll be fine without me?" She gently rubbed his face with her free hoof.

"Yes you big lug, we'll have plenty to talk about while we rest. Go and finish prepping the home for when our daughter arrives and have fun with it."

"Oh that sounds like a good time. I'll make it a room fitting for our Screwball, but if you need me for anything, I'll be back here in a flash."

"Ok Discord." The lovers shared one more kiss before Discord teleported himself and Indominus out of the room.

Indominus was outside beside his brother and he also found the raptor squad standing outside with him. Discord bid the dinosaurs farewell and disappeared to prepare his home for the new arrival. The rexes bent down to give the raptors a platform to stand on and rose up so they could catch a glimpse of Indominus's sleeping daughter.

"She looks so cute and small, Indominus," said Blue.

"We named her Viper."

"It's a fitting name and it belongs in a family like ours," said Echo.

"We can talk about it later, girls. None of us have eaten anything this morning and we really need to hunt," said Tyrannosaurus. He had already devoured the manticore carcass and it hadn't satisfied his appetite.

So the dinosaurs took off in the direction of the Everfree Forest, ready to satisfy their hunger, knowing that Rainbow and Viper were both in safe hooves until they got back.
