First day...

Gohan and Fluttershy were traversing those crowded halls...

The trophy collection is completely blocked, and there is no general sense of direction.

Gohan just followed Fluttershy.

"Is this everyd-" Gohan asked, before he bumped into some random student.

"Sorry!" He called.

"It is every day, yes..." Fluttershy said.

"I can barely get around here...!" Gohan said.

He was trying desperately to not hit anyone.

"I know... But you get used to it." Fluttershy said.

"Our homeroom is really close by, thankfully..." She said.

'How does anyone get around this without knocking everyone away!?' Gohan thought.

The homeroom was just a regular classroom for French class.

Yellow tiles, beige walls, French words on the board and such...

The desks had apricot tables connected to the same color chairs.

The room was pretty packed...

Gohan and Fluttershy managed to grab desks next to each other...

Which is the desks for the rest of the year.

"Heh. Lucky us, huh?" Gohan asked.

"Yes... What made you choose CHS?" Fluttershy asked.

"Hmm? Well, most of the planet is dead, and this was the closest school, so..." Gohan said.

"O-Oh..." Fluttershy said, looking saddened.

Reminded of those dreadful Androids...

"Whoops. Sorry, that sounded a little too grim." Gohan said.

"That's okay..." Fluttershy said.

"Don't you just hate those Androids...?" Gohan asked.

"Well... It's not that I hate them... I just wish they'd be nice." Fluttershy said.

She looked sad again...

"I wouldn't worry about them." Gohan said, trying to cheer her up.

'What...? Why would he say that? Does that mean he saved me that day...? Did he survive those heartless Androids...? Did he actually kill them?' Fluttershy thought.

"Um... Do you think they're still alive or dead...?" She asked.

"Well, nobody's beat them at all, so I'd guess alive. I wouldn't know, really." Gohan lied.

'Good call...' He thought.

'It's strange... I feel like it's him, but at the same time, he just can't be him... It kind of adds up, but I can't figure it out...!' Fluttershy thought.

Gohan could sense the animals in her bag...

Which was on the floor, he still has his bag on his back.

It was getting annoying not knowing what it was.

So he decided to change the subject.

"...I'm sorry, but this is driving me nuts. What's in your bag? I can feel so many little critters in there..." Gohan said.

"W-What?" Fluttershy asked.

"Are there animals in there or something?" Gohan asked.

"How did you know that...?" Fluttershy asked.

"There are? Why?" Gohan asked.

Then Fluttershy quickly put a finger to his mouth.

You know, for a hushed voice.

"You're not supposed to have pets at school, but they're my other friends..." She whispered.

"Ohh. Okay, I won't tell." Gohan whispered with a wink.

'...I used to be friends with Icarus... Thanks, dad.' He thought angrily.

"But how did you know? I never even gave you the idea..." Fluttershy whispered.

...Ah.

'Oh no! I forgot, ugh!' Gohan thought.

"Ah, er, well, I-I saw your bag move a bit..." He said nervously...

He scratched the back of his head.

Fluttershy was a little suspicious...

...But had no idea what to call out.

'He probably saw Angel moving around in my bag... Nobody can just feel a presence like that.' She thought.

...She's got 100%... So far.

The bell rang, and it was time for attendance...

This was his lunch period.

Gohan and Fluttershy walked into the cafeteria...

It had a sun and moon plastered on the wall...

The tables were separated by the kinds of students.

Rockers sat at one table, the fashionistas at another... You get it.

Gohan had the giant lunch at his side, and Fluttershy just had a tray.

A tray of a sandwich, fruit salad, milk and an apple.

"Are you sure that's your whole lunch...?" She asked.

"Yeah. Why do you keep asking?" Gohan asked.

"W-Well, it's just that your lunch is huge..." Fluttershy said.

"It's a healthy portion to me..." Gohan said.

The two sat at a table where nobody else sat at.

It's the same place Fluttershy eats...

Well, since her and her friends broke up, at least.

She always ate alone since then...

She's happy she has a friend again.

Gohan sat at the end while Fluttershy just sat to his side.

Gohan put the lunch down at his side and untied the blue cloth to reveal multiple black boxes of food.

There was a red container of water on top, along with chopsticks to it's side.

"T-That's your lunch for today?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yep!" Gohan said, putting one box on the table.

"All the boxes!" He added.

'T-That's not possible at all...' Fluttershy thought.

...

He put the container of water to the side, and pulled out the wooden chopsticks.

"Alright, let's see what I got here..." He muttered, taking the lid off.

A whole box of rice.

Then he put his hands together...

"Thanks for the meal..." He said.

...Then he dove in.

He held the box in one hand...

He literally made shots into his mouth.

Instant, too.

He was eating so fast, it put everyone else to shame.

Fluttershy just looked in shock as she took a bite from her red apple...

'...I stand corrected.' She thought.

Pretty soon, Gohan caught the attention of Flash Sentry, who was talking to the rockers...

Eventually, his entire table was looking at Gohan.

...Then they stood up to see this.

Gohan already went through a second box of dumplings, shumai and egg rolls, and was now destroying a box of various meats.

(Shumai is basically a cylinder dumpling.)

Some more kids started surrounding the table, and Gohan didn't even notice...

Next box, vegetables.

In mere moments, that whole thing was gone.

More people surrounded him.

Next box, nothing but meat!

Now, nearly the entire lunchroom surrounded him...

Next box, assortment of meats and rice.

Gohan was about to put a chunk of pork in his mouth, but finally noticed the crowd around him.

All those eyes...

Just staring at him...!

He didn't realize that they were complete shock.

It was weird to him.

He put the box down.

"Do you mind...?" He asked.

They were all just staring at him...

No response.

Gohan leaned into Fluttershy's ear...

"Why are they looking at me like that...?" He asked.

"It's like they saw a ghost." He added.

"Are you serious!?" Fluttershy whispered.

"We're all surprised that you're eating so much! And so fast!" She whispered.

"Uh... Oh. Right..." Gohan said.

He remembered that humans don't usually eat their own body weight in food...

Pinkie Pie emerged from the audience.

She stepped to be across Gohan.

Then she slammed her hands on the table, keeping a straight face.

...

"...Teach me how to do that!" She said, suddenly giddy.

She lost the straight face.

Gohan blinked twice in confusion.

"E-Excuse me?" He asked.

"I wanna eat like that!" Pinkie Pie said.

"B-But I have an extremely absurd metabolism, I can't teach you anything..." Gohan said.

"Look, can you all just... Give me some privacy? I'm having an awesome lunch." He said.

...

...Pinkie looked angrily at Fluttershy as she walked away.

Everyone else went back to their business...

They all walked away...

The lunchroom was filled with chatter and loud noises once more.

...

"...Can you tell me how you're eating that much...?" Fluttershy asked.

"Well... I don't know how to explain it, I just have a really extreme metabolism." Gohan said.

"O-Oh..." Fluttershy said.

"Well, I guess it looks really out of place. Sorry if I look like a pig..." Gohan said.

"Oh, no, I don't think that... I've just never seen someone eat so much... Especially that quickly." Fluttershy said.

"You eat more than a bear..." She added.

"Nah... A brown bear can eat 90 pounds of food a day. Clearly, I'm eating at least 9 times the amount a regular person eats in one sitting." Gohan said.

Fluttershy just looked a bit shocked.

"...You know, a regular person eats about 3-5 pounds a day..." Gohan said.

...

"...But a black bear eats about 18 pounds of food a day, so... You're right, I suppose." Gohan said.

"How did you know that...?" Fluttershy asked.

"I hung around various animals when I was smaller... I also read a book about bears." Gohan said.

'I think I know why he wanted to come to the animal shelter now...' Fluttershy thought.

Then the gym class...

This was just great.

This was what really sparked her curiosity.

Our two were just walking towards the gymnasium.

Right now, they're in the hall right by the gym.

"Okay, so what's happening here?" Gohan asked.

"This is my least favorite class..." Fluttershy said.

"Ugh, tell me about it." Gohan said.

'For thirteen years... Thirteen years!' He yelled in his mind.

"Huh? I thought you liked it... Considering your uniform..." Fluttershy said.

"Well... I'm just trying to be more like my dad. He'd love this class, but I prefer relaxing in nature... Or relaxing with my nose the books." Gohan said.

"What?" Fluttershy asked.

"I'm actually a bit of a bookworm..." Gohan said.

"Oh... I can never make it far in this class... I always get a C." She said.

"Really? That's not good." Gohan said.

"I can't help it... I'm not athletic." Fluttershy said.

"Don't worry, if you do your best, I'm sure you'll break your own limitations." Gohan said.

"Really...? By the way... Do you have a P.E. uniform?" Fluttershy asked.

"...Did I need a uniform for that?" Gohan asked.

"Um... I think. Maybe the teacher has a spare?" Fluttershy asked.

"Oh... I don't know... Can I wear this?" Gohan asked, pointing at his gi.

"I don't know... You'd have to ask the coach." Fluttershy said.

Well, now our two are in the gym.

A nicely polished wooden floor, a stage up front for non-phys ed events, and a connecting door to the cafeteria in the corner.

There were lots of lights up at the ceiling, and a scoreboard for basketball on the wall.

There were bleachers on the sides, but for the moment, they were closed into the walls.

A bunch of students were there, too.

Fluttershy was in the P.E. uniform, which is just a gray t-shirt and blue shorts.

It had a horseshoe in the shape of a C in the front, but no other logos.

She also had yellow sneakers with pink soles...

Gohan was not wearing anything new.

So he went to the teacher now, in the corner.

The teacher looked like Freddie Mercury.

"Uh... Sir?" Gohan asked.

"What is it, sonny?" The teacher said, in a British accent.

Looking at it now, those two were pretty similar in height.

"May I use this for my physical education classes...?" Gohan asked, patting his gi.

"That depends. Do you work out in it?" The teacher asked.

"Yeah, I do." Gohan said.

"I really don't care, then. As long as you can exercise, I don't mind it. You could wear long jeans for all I care, but those students won't bother, heheh." The teacher said, chuckling afterwards.

"Thank you, sir." Gohan said, standing tall and bowing.

"Oh, that's fine. Wait, you're the new junior who transferred in, right?" The teacher asked.

"Yes sir." Gohan said.

The teacher looked around to make sure nobody was looking.

Then he leaned in toward Gohan's ear.

"You're the 23 year old, right...?" He whispered.

"Er... Yes sir." Gohan whispered.

"Well, the administration isn't sure if you should participate in this class. They asked me to monitor how you do, and see if you have too much of an edge compared to the other students..." The teacher whispered.

"Oh... Okay." Gohan said.

"Just do your best, and I'll let you know if you can stay." The teacher said.

"Okay." Gohan said.

"Since you're the newbie, you're going to be behind Fluttershy in the back, 'right?" The teacher asked.

He was pointing at Fluttershy trying to stretch out.

"Uh... Okay." Gohan said.

He walked towards her...

"So, what'd he say?" Fluttershy asked, stretching her arms out.

"He doesn't actually care about what we wear at all." Gohan said.

"You know, he says that, but I'm afraid he's going to give me a JUG for it." Fluttershy said.

That's a detention, by the way.

"Well... Wait, what does JUG stand for?" Gohan asked.

"I don't know. We just call it that." Fluttershy said.

"Huh. Anyway, I'm supposed to sit behind you for this class..." Gohan said.

"I'm glad we happen to have the same classes and sections..." Fluttershy said.

"I guess we were made to be friends." Gohan said, shrugging.

This period is for dodgeball.

Half the class versus the other...

The side Fluttershy was on had Gohan, at least...

The rest of her former friends were on the opposing team.

And they resented each other too.

The students were all behind the edge of their zones.

"Uh oh..." Fluttershy said.

"It's a 14 on 15 game. It's their advantage if we look at the numbers. I guess it's a bit unfair..." Gohan said.

"No, it's not that... I'm just terrible at this game." Fluttershy said.

"Oh." Gohan said.

"And they have Applejack and Rainbow Dash..." Fluttershy said.

"Is Applejack the one with the cowboy hat? And is Rainbow Dash the rainbow haired one?" Gohan asked.

"That's spot on..." Fluttershy said.

"They seem particularly strong compared to the others." Gohan noted.

"How can you tell?" Fluttershy asked.

'Dang it, not again...' Gohan thought.

"Just a hunch..." He said.

"Alrighty then." Freddie Mercury The teacher said.

The line dividing the teams had a lot of red balls on it.

"We'll play until one team wins. Then we'll restart the round and play again. Since we have a new student today, I'll explain the rules." He said.

"If a ball touches you and it touches the ground right after, you're out. Headshots don't count. If you catch a ball, whoever threw it was out. Simple, right?" He asked Gohan.

"Yes." Gohan said, nodding.

"Alright now, start!" The teacher said, holding a hand up.

Everyone started dashing to the middle to grab a ball.

...Except for a few people.

Including Gohan and Fluttershy...

Gohan just started casually walking forward while Fluttershy hid behind him.

Now the balls started flying.

You could see Flash Sentry getting slammed in the chest by a ball, and so on.

The gym teacher blew his whistle.

Gohan just stood in the middle, a completely open target.

A ball happened to roll to his feet...

So he picked it up with a hand, and looked over his shoulder.

"...Aren't you going to play?" He asked Fluttershy.

"I'm too scared..." Fluttershy said.

"Alright. You can hang back for now, but later, you need to help." Gohan said, looking ahead again.

He weakly threw a ball at Micro Chips, and since he was a super nerd...

It hit him in the chest, but he didn't catch it.

Out.

The whistle blew.

'Easy enough... I don't think this'll be hard.' Gohan thought.

Now that we're looking...

His team was getting demolished.

The whistle blew many times.

Considering that the opposing team had contenders such as Rainbow Dash, Bulk Biceps and Pinkie Pie...

Yeah.

At this point...

It's just Gohan and Fluttershy.

It's surprising that nobody tried to get him in the first place.

"Oh. That's just great..." Gohan muttered, looking around.

All the out students were outside the line/zone.

Once he looked forward to the other team, having every single ball...

"Fluttershy, we're going to play." Gohan said.

"It's going to hurt...!" Fluttershy whined.

"It's not that bad. Break!" Gohan said, jumping aside.

Pinkie Pie hurled a ball at Fluttershy as soon as he moved away...

'Aaaand that's just great.' Gohan thought, jumping back.

He literally got in front of her to catch the ball with one hand.

Everyone looked surprised.

The whistle blew.

Looks like she's out...

She walked away.

Gohan held the ball to Fluttershy.

"Play, Fluttershy." He said.

"Um... I'll try..." Fluttershy said, taking the ball.

Gohan stepped aside to let Fluttershy have a go.

...Someone coughed.

Fluttershy wound her arm up...

And threw the ball with all her might!

...It was thrown in a predictable arc, and Rainbow Dash caught it.

"Oh..." Fluttershy responded, looking sad.

She walked away in defeat.

'Wait, am I really by myself here?' Gohan thought.

...He was.

"Hah! This game's in the bag!" Rainbow Dash boasted.

"Oh yeah? I'll show you!" Gohan said, holding up a fist.

"I'll win for Fluttershy!" He said.

...

"...Uh... Alright..." Rainbow Dash said, a little weirded out.

Gohan didn't realize how weird that sounded.

Fluttershy was even blushing on the sidelines.

Rainbow Dash just ended the awkwardness by hurling the ball at Gohan.

Gohan jumped back to make it bounce off the ground before he caught it.

"Alright, let's go!" Gohan said.

He only used about a tenth of his strength to hurl the ball at Rarity.

She tried catching it, but the ball slipped as it touched her hand.

The whistle blew.

Rarity walked away.

Rainbow Dash picked the ball up.

"All at once!" Rainbow Dash commanded.

She wound up her arm, and hurled the ball!

Gohan sidestepped to dodge.

More balls started flying at him.

'Oh boy. I can't treat them like ki blasts...' He thought.

Gohan sidestepped to dodge one, and he caught another ball with a single hand.

Now three were aiming right at him.

Gohan smashed his ball into the other balls, smacking them away!

"That's out!" Applejack called.

"It's legal." The teacher said.

"What!?" Rainbow Dash asked.

Gohan grinned.

'Perfect.' He thought.

Some random off screen person hurled another ball at Gohan, who, obviously, caught it.

The whistle blew again.

Now the only ones remaining are Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Gohan.

It's 2 on 1, and the odds are in Gohan's favor.

"...MVP!" Flash Sentry called out.

That turned into a chant.

"MVP!" He and Octavia called.

"MVP!" Everyone on his team chanted.

"MVP! MVP! MVP!"

It echoed throughout the gym.

'Oh, darn it... Now I have attention.' Gohan thought.

"I'll get you!" Rainbow Dash yelled, picking up a ball.

"No, I'm getting him!" Applejack yelled, picking up a ball.

"MVP! MVP! MVP!"

The chant still went on...

"Okay, let's go." Gohan said, picking up a ball himself.

Applejack hurled her ball at Gohan, but he simply moved a step aside to dodge.

Rainbow Dash grunted as she hurled her ball.

Gohan decided to hurl his ball in the same direction, making the two balls bounce off each other.

"MVP! MVP! MVP!"

The chant went on.

Gohan ran to the side and picked up another ball.

"I'm done playing games!" He said, hurling his ball.

Applejack tried to catch it, but she was slammed in the chest and fell on her tushy.

The whistle blew.

She was out.

"MVP! MVP! MVP!"

Rainbow Dash picked up that ball.

She hurled it, but it touched the ground before Gohan caught it.

He picked up a second ball, but threw only one.

Rainbow Dash jumped to the side to dodge.

Gohan threw his other one, but it missed again.

"Come on!" Rainbow Dash taunted, gesturing for him to come at her.

'She'll just keep dodging. She's quick, too, so I can't catch her off guard that easily... Unless...' Gohan thought.

He sidestepped to two balls next to each other and picked it up.

'Okay, coming in at both sides...' He thought.

"MVP! MVP! MVP!"

Gohan hurled both of the balls while crossing his arms.

They went in different directions.

Rainbow Dash jumped backwards, making her movement based on prediction.

Nearly everyone had their attention diverted to the balls.

'Okay, now curve...' Gohan thought.

He swung his arms back out.

Then they curved inward, going right at Rainbow Dash.

"MVP!"

"Wait, what?" She asked, right before her arms were hit.

The whistle blew.

"MV-"

"YEAAAAAHH-"

Cheers erupted throughout the gym.

Everyone on Gohan's side was cheering...

Except Fluttershy.

Don't get me wrong, she was happy for him, but...

She witnessed Gohan moving his arms...

'Did he just...? No, that's not possible... But they curved at the exact moment he... No, again, there's no way...' She thought.

She put it off... For now.

The teacher held his hand up.

The cheers stopped pretty instantly.

"Son, that was an amazing play." The teacher said to Gohan.

"Huh? Oh... Thanks..." Gohan said, rubbing the back of his head.

"Alright, new game." The teacher said.

All the other students just started putting the balls back in the middle.

'I'm kinda glad they stopped cheering for me...' Gohan thought.

Then Fluttershy came to him...

"You were amazing!" She said.

'...Nevermind.' Gohan thought.

"Ah... Thanks." He said, rubbing the back of his head... Again.

"Nobody's caught a ball with one hand before! That was really surprising!" Fluttershy said.

"Really? I must've gotten lucky..." Gohan said.

'I don't know if I should point it out... He'd probably deny it anyway...' Fluttershy thought.

The two started walking to the back.

"Next time, instead of throwing it upwards, try just throwing it horizontally." He said.

"I'll try..." Fluttershy said.

"Alright, round 2!" The teacher said.

Then he blew his whistle...

Everyone but a few darted for the balls in the middle.

Again, Gohan and Fluttershy.

Gohan stepped forward very slowly as the balls flew.

Rainbow Dash hurled a ball at Gohan for revenge...

Gohan didn't catch it, he ducked and it flew over his head.

This time, a lot of people starting throwing at Gohan instead of anyone else.

"Uh oh." He muttered.

He jumped to the side to avoid one ball.

Then he jumped and spread his legs to dodge another, and then two balls came at him at the same time.

He caught them both with each hand.

The whistle blew.

Fluttershy quickly rushed to him.

"You're really good at this..." She said.

"I've literally never played, but take this." Gohan said, holding the ball out to Fluttershy.

"Oh... Okay." Fluttershy said, taking it.

"Now hurl it as hard as you can!" Gohan said, lightly hurling his ball at Bulk Biceps.

Got him right in the gigantic shoulder...

The whistle blew.

Out.

"Alright, now you try." Gohan said.

Fluttershy slowly nodded.

She wound up her arm and started aiming.

"Remember, don't even remotely throw it up." Gohan said.

"Okay..." Fluttershy said.

She saw Rarity, locked on, and-

"Unh!" She grunted.

It barely touched Rarity's foot, but it still counts.

The whistle blew.

"What?" Rarity asked.

The teacher made an 'out' gesture, aiming his thumb behind him.

She did not look happy as she stormed away.

"Nice job!" Gohan said.

"Thank you..." Fluttershy said, ecstatic that she actually did a thing.

Gohan caught another ball with two hands this time.

The whistle blew.

"Let's go!" He said, hurling the ball.

So the school barred him from physical education.

Or, at least, the competitive games like dodgeball or baseball.

Because he's a grown man, and...

When there's fitness tests and stuff, he'll be able to participate...

Well, Gohan is going to have to make up some bullshit to explain it to Fluttershy.

You know, he's 'sick' or 'the teacher needed me after class' and such.

But she lost a bit of the other suspicion at the animal shelter.

Caged animals...

Caged animals everywhere.

Cute yet sad dogs, bunnies and such were everywhere...

The whole place was colored grey.

"This looks like a prison." Gohan said.

"Yes, but they treat the animals humanely here." Fluttershy reassured.

She put her bag down and unzipped it...

Many little woodland creatures burst out of the bag.

A bunny, a cat, squirrel, etc.

"How often do you put them in your bag...?" Gohan asked.

"Every time I go to school... They're just so lonely at home." Fluttershy said.

"Oh. Are they comfortable in there...?" Gohan asked.

"Surprisingly, yes." Fluttershy said.

"...Actually, I need to ask..." She said.

"Earlier today, you... Well, demolished everyone at dodgeball. But I saw something weird..." She said.

"Huh...?" Gohan asked.

"When you got Rainbow Dash out... You swung your arms out, right? And then the dodge balls curved inward..." Fluttershy said.

'Oh no! She noticed my ki...! Ugh...' Gohan thought.

"What did you do there...?" Fluttershy asked.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about..." Gohan said.

"But..." Fluttershy said.

"Sorry, I don't remember anything like that. Are you saying I somehow changed the direction of the dodge balls without touching them?" Gohan asked.

Fluttershy slowly nodded.

"That's physically impossible, right...?" Gohan asked.

"Well... I guess. I must be seeing things..." Fluttershy said.

'But I know what I saw... Oh well.' She thought.

She started walking towards a giant cage.

It had 'Bear Pen' written on the door...

It was completely blocked off with wood.

"Anyway, I'd like you to meet my friend, Harry!" Fluttershy said, holding a set of keys.

"Uh... It says 'Bear Pen' on there, Fluttershy." Gohan said, a little concerned.

"Yeah, so?" Fluttershy asked with a smile.

'Are they even allowed in animal shelters...?' Gohan thought.

'Wait, the real question is, why is she unfazed by that...!?' He thought.

Fluttershy put the key in the lock and unlocked the cage...

'I can't watch... Wait, I can trust this... She was so confiden- OH MY-'

A black bear fucking burst out of the cage and slammed his body into Fluttershy!

The two crashed on the ground...

Gohan was about to act on instinct, kick it's ass and-

'Huh...?' He thought.

The bear was just cradling Fluttershy...

Fluttershy was giggling as the bear actually kissed her on the forehead.

"You really missed me, huh?" She asked.

"Uh..." Gohan said, completely confused.

"Oh! Where are my manners..." Fluttershy said, getting out of that death grip.

She stood on the ground again.

"Gohan, this is Harry." She said.

"Er... Hello, Harry..." Gohan said, regaining his composure.

He had his usual smile and such.

Harry slowly inched closer to Gohan, sniffing the air around him.

Once he was literally face to face...

This is a staring contest.

"...Hi." Gohan said.

...

Then Harry just swung his arms around Gohan for a big hug.

"Aw, he likes you!" Fluttershy said.

"I wouldn't have guessed." Gohan said.

Harry tried swinging him from side to side, but he was just too damn heavy.

He just licked Gohan's cheek instead.

Then he started walking back into his cage.

"Did someone feed you today?" Fluttershy asked.

Then Harry nodded...

"Okay, see you later..." Fluttershy said, walking to another cage.

"I really thought he maimed you for a moment, phew...!" Gohan said.

"Nope, he's a nice bear." Fluttershy said.

"Eh. I guess I can relate. I had a pet dragon that wouldn't harm a fly." Gohan said.

Then Fluttershy looked like she had seen a ghost...

"A d-d-d-d-dragon!?" She asked.

"Yeah... Why is that so surprising...?" Gohan asked.

"Dragons are big... S-Scary... And they eat you!" Fluttershy said.

"Well, not all dragons. My dragon Icarus was a harmless one!" Gohan said.

"Oh... Okay..." Fluttershy said.

'Did he really tame a dragon...?' She thought.

She opened another cage that was covered in fence.

That had plenty of squirrels and rabbits and such.

They all came running out happily and cheerfully.

"Oh! Looks like you were all fed..." Fluttershy said, as those squirrels and such all crawled on her.

"How can you tell?" Gohan asked.

A tiny squirrel made it's way to Gohan.

"Oh, when they get so excited like this, that's when they're already fed." Fluttershy said.

Gohan knelt down to the little squirrel...

'From my knowledge... It should run away. Squirrels don't like interacting with us. So if I got even closer it should run awa- No, it's coming closer?' He thought.

He put his arm out to the squirrel, assuming it'd run to Fluttershy.

...But the squirrel decided to hop onto his hand and run up to his shoulder.

"Okay... I'm very confused." Gohan said, looking at the little critter.

"I'm surprised..." Fluttershy said, the animals off her now.

"Usually they're scared by anyone..." She said.

"Well, you're obviously a special case." Gohan said.

Then the squirrel rubbed it's face against Gohan's neck.

"So are you... Usually they only hide behind me when there's strangers..." Fluttershy said.

Then a bunny jumped onto his other shoulder.

"I don't know how I'm doing it, but it's happening." Gohan said, standing up again.

"You'll love all the other animals here..." Fluttershy said, opening yet another cage.

Puppies!

Just Jack Russel Terriers.

"Aww! They're so cute!" Gohan said.

Eventually Gohan had spent substantial time with Fluttershy playing and just hanging around the animals.

The two sat on a blue bench in the facility.

Fluttershy was holding her pet bunny Angel and cooing him.

Gohan just had a squirrel on his shoulder, a bird in his hand and a rabbit on his lap.

Once Angel managed to fall asleep...

Fluttershy just set him on her lap and let him rest.

She very, very, very slowly caressed him in his sleep.

"I wonder why they're actually here..." Gohan muttered.

"What was that?" Fluttershy asked.

"I'm just wondering why squirrels are in a place like this. Are they disabled in some way?" Gohan asked.

"Actually, some of them are. Most of them are just here because they were baby squirrels with no mother." Fluttershy said.

"What about this little guy?" Gohan asked, looking over his shoulder.

"Oh, Peapod... He's actually a lot smaller than other squirrels. He's really old..." Fluttershy said.

"Oh. I'm a little rusty on my animal anatomy... I haven't studied for a while." Gohan said.

"Really? How come?" Fluttershy asked.

"Long story short, I ended up losing the time." Gohan said.

"Oh... Well, I guess it's a good thing you found the time." Fluttershy said.

"Yep. I really want to become a scholar." Gohan said.

"Really?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yeah!" Gohan said, putting the squirrel on his hand.

Said squirrel ran off, jumping on his lap and jumping to the ground.

The bird acted on instinct and flew after it.

...Then the rabbit jumped away too.

Fluttershy giggled.

"I would never have guessed... You wear that outfit, yet you're so... You can't be a fighter." She said.

"Huh?" Gohan asked.

"You're too gentle... I don't think fighters are as gentle as you." Fluttershy said.

"But I am a bit of a fighter... I practice martial arts." Gohan said.

"Really?" Fluttershy asked.

'So he's a nerd... An animal lover... And a fighter?' She thought.

"Well... I just try to... Wait, what time is it?" Gohan asked.

"Oh, it's..." Fluttershy said, pulling her phone out.

"6:35." She said.

"Uh oh. I have to be home by 7:00..." Gohan said.

He quickly put the rabbit down to the bench, but said rabbit hopped away.

"Oh... Are you leaving?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yeah... I-I'll see you tomorrow, bye!" Gohan said, slowly running away.

Slow seems quick to her.

'...I have a really good friend, I suppose...' Fluttershy thought, still caressing the bunny.

'But I can't stop thinking about it. He has to be the blond person... But he isn't blond. How does that add up...? He's too gentle, but... Okay, my head hurts now.' She thought.

Gohan jumped atop the same building.

The animal shelter.

"Nimbus!" He called out to the skies

...

In a few seconds, that yellow cloud flew down and stopped right in front of Gohan.

"I forgot how dad got this again..." He said to himself, jumping on.

He sat crisscross on it, and then the Nimbus took off.

He pondered to himself as the clouds passed by.

'Wait, that's right, Master Roshi gave it to him! He- Wait... Is he dead? I have the distinct feeling that he's died of old age by now... Wait, he's over 300 years old. He's also a master martial artist, I doubt he's died from that...Did the Androids kill him? I'll have to visit Kame House sometime...' He thought.

Well, that was first day.

Trunks eventually figured out that Gohan went to school.

This was a Saturday.

It's an empty beach.

A perfect place for Gohan and Trunks to train.

"Hyah!" Trunks yelled, throwing a punch.

Gohan dodged to the side, and Trunks kept coming.

He threw a hook punch and missed again.

They had been doing this for nearly an hour...

Trunks was panting.

Gohan had moved back.

He fired a yellow ki blast as he moved away.

Trunks flew after him and swatted the ki blast away.

He threw a heavy kick at
Gohan, but he missed.

"You're too lax!" Gohan said, dodging another punch.

He caught Trunks's next fist.

"Mindlessly throwing attacks!" Gohan said, aiming a yellow ki blast at Trunks's chest.

Boom!

Gohan let go of Trunks's fist on impact, and he was sent flying.

Trunks hadn't given up!

He jumped back into the fray, ready to throw more at Gohan!

Gohan fired another ki blast, but with some more strength.

Trunks punched that away, but Gohan instantly moved forward to knee him in the stomach.

"Again!?" Gohan asked.

Trunks bent over and coughed.

Gohan wound up his other fist and smashed into Trunks's cheek, knocking him to the ground.

Trunks had enough from that point, and stayed down.

He kept panting.

...

"...Can you keep going?" Gohan asked.

Trunks coughed and sat up.

"I think I'm done." He said.

Trunks was sitting on a boulder, still catching his breath...

He kept panting and panting...

Gohan took a seat on another boulder next to Trunks.

"I think that'll do for today." He said.

"You really need to stop throwing attacks like that." He added.

"I know... You pointed it out a lot." Trunks said.

"The problem with that kind of style is that you'll become too predictable." Gohan said.

"You're strong, though. I really felt your punches today. Keep working on your strength, little brother." He added.

He patted Trunks on the back.

...But Trunks had another question...

"Gohan, is it possible to turn into a Super Saiyan without pain of loss?" Trunks asked.

Damn it, Caulifla.

"Well, maybe. The only way I know of is pure rage. Maybe one day, when someone hurts you, or me, or your mother... You'll snap." Gohan said.

"You have the potential, you have trouble latching onto it." He added.

"Ugh... I really want to do it! I know the Androids are gone... But what if something new comes up, and I can't help at all? Again?" Trunks said.

"Don't worry about it. It's only been so much time, and nothing other than the Androids has shown up for the past decade. I seriously doubt some random other worldly enemy will appear. And if they do... Well, we hope that they aren't stronger." Gohan said.

"But I need to transform before that!" Trunks said.

"Take it easy. It's peaceful right now. Plaguing your mind with a desire for more power isn't helping anyone. It's just going to hurt you." Gohan said.

"Well... I guess." Trunks said.

"I haven't been training as hard myself... However, I'm always ready." Gohan said.

"Heh... You know, my mom told me what you left to do." Trunks said.

"Really, now?" Gohan asked.

"You're going to school! That was my ninth guess." Trunks said.

"What else did you even guess...?" Gohan asked.

"...No comment." Trunks said.

"Okay..." Gohan said.

"Well... Did you make any friends?" Trunks asked.

"Well... One, I guess." Gohan said.

"Really? Who?" Trunks asked.

"Some girl named Fluttershy." Gohan said.

"A girl? Is she your girlfriend~?" Trunks sneered, nudging Gohan with his elbow.

"Absolutely not." Gohan said with a straight face.

"Come on, you sure?" Trunks asked.

"I only consider her a friend." Gohan said.

"Heh, sure." Trunks sneered.

"Alright, I'm leaving now." Gohan said.

"Really?" Trunks asked.

"Next time, I'm going Super Saiyan and going full power." Gohan said with a smirk.

"Oh..." Trunks said, saddened and bit scared.

"I'm just joking with you, little brother." Gohan said, patting him on the back.

Well, Trunks will return eventually.

What great friends.

They have a brotherly bond.

Anyway...
