Star Wars: Civil War of Equestria
Chapter 3: Chapter 2: Scouting Equestria
Previous Chapter Next ChapterMeanwhile, on Corusant, at the Jedi Temple.
Jedi Master Ryujakki Amidala had arrived at the Temple. He had requested a meeting with the Council and the Chancellor. He had earlier that month suggested to the Senate that they get allies from the Unknown Territories. He had sent many scout ships into the Territories to find suitable planets that would benefit the the Galactic Republic. And one of his scout ships had returned with news of a new world suitable for the Republic. And its inhabitants were of great interest.
The Jedi Guards motioned for him to enter. Ryujakki entered. Waiting for him were the Jedi Council and the Chancellor. Everyone looked at him as he entered the room.
"Master Amidala," Chancellor Palpatine greeted. "We're well aware that you have news to report from the Unknown Territories."
"Masters and Supreme Chancellor," Ryujakki replied. "I have come to report that one of my scouting ships have discovered a world within the Unknown Territories much similar to Sol 3."
"How similar?" Mace Windu asked.
"As if the gods themselves took pieces of certain planets, Tatooine, Jakku, Naboo, and Hoth, and merged them into one whole planet."
The Masters talked among themselves, shocked at this news. Yoda raised his hand for silence.
"Master Amidala," Master Yoda said. "Continue, you may."
"The world lacks technology, and they have yet to begin exploring the stars," Master Amidala continued. "However, what they lack in technology, they more than make for their unique abilities in the Force. Or as they call it on their world, magic."
"Magic is both a form of the Force and science that the Jedi, Sith, and scientists have yet to understand," Chancellor Palpatine said. "Anything else?"
"There those so powerful on their world that when using both the Light and Dark Sides," Master Amidala continued, "they have unnatural Force abilities. There was one Unicorn who could turn into shadow itself. A centaur who could absorb their powers to strengthen his own, but I have linked him to a prophecy on their world that he may in fact be one of their destroyers. There is another creature on that world, insect-like Changelings, that can use the Force to change their form and feed on love itself. Another creature who can use both the Light and Dark Sides to do - I honestly have no idea on how to describe it. Two of the ruling sovereign of this world are so powerful in the Force, they can move the very sun and moon of that world. There six ponies who are powerful in the Force they can use artifacts of great power to wield the very power of the Light Side itself."
Everyone remained silent at this. Neither the masters nor the Chancellor knew how to respond to this.
"They have a portal that allows them access to an alternate universe," Master Amidala continued, smiling at everyone's response. Clearly he knew this would be how they responded. "I haven't even gotten to the weird stuff yet."
"Weird stuff?" Ki-Adi- Mundi asked in confusion.
"The inhabitants are mostly creatures called ponies," Master Amidala replied.
Everyone looked at each other in silence.
"But, it is well within my belief that the Separatists have also discovered this world," Master Amidala finished.
This really got everyone's attention. Ryujakki Amidala was the smartest of all the Jedi and also the new Keeper of the Jedi Archives. If Ryujakki ever got a sense that their enemies were most likely going to the same world they had discovered, everyone stopped and listened.
"Did you feel a disturbance in the Force?" Shaak Ti asked.
"No, my men told me they saw a Separatist scout ship there as well," Ryujakki replied in his ever strange intellect.
"Find out more about this world," Chancellor Palpatine commanded. "We must before Count Dooku does."
"I will oversee this immediately," Master Amidala replied.
"Not alone," Mace Windu replied. "If the Separatists are as interested in this world as we are, there's a good chance Dooku'll send one of the Separatist leaders or second-in-commands more capable of taking down a Jedi."
"Agree with this I do," Yoda agreed.
Ryujakki stopped as he turned around. He put his hand to his chin, thinking of people he could take with him to scout this new world.
"Yes," he replied. "I'm going to need small team to scout the area, and not a large army. I'll need someone who can make the hard sacrificial plays when no one else will. Two negotiators. A Jedi currently off duty. And two clones. I already have the perfect team in mind."
The Masters and Chancellor looked at each other. They knew exactly which people he was talking about. And he was far from right when he called them the perfect team.
We cut to Ryujakki meeting with Ahsoka, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Barriss Offee, Anakin Skywalker, Commander Cody, and Captain Rex at a very loud bar.
"So let me get this straight," Obi-Wan said. "You want us to come with you to a world filled with so much Force power to recruit for the Republic? Did I get that right?"
"More or less," Ryujakki replied.
"Anything else?" Ahsoka asked.
"The Separatists are just as interested in this world as well," Ryujakki replied.
"If the clankers are going there, I'm in," Rex said.
"Me too," Cody said, downing his drink.
"You were wise to have a negotiator on your side," Baris Offee said, agreeing to join.
"I'm with you," Obi-Wan said.
"Count me in," Anakin said.
"I'm with you to the end," Ahsoka said.
"When do we leave?" Rex asked.
"Ten minutes," Ryujakki replied. "Jedi Temple. West Hanger Bay. Circle around to make sure you are not followed. And split up. Two people each. I'd recruit someone else, but unfortunately, Luminara's currently off-world."
"Why should we split up and circle around?" Ahsoka asked.
"We're being watched," Ryujakkie replied, looking at some Separatist Tactical Droids.
The group looked in the droids direction. The droids got up and walked off.
"How much do you think they heard?" Anakin asked.
"Everything," Ryujakki replied. "We need to move. Now."
The group nodded and began making their way to the Temple.
We cut to the Separatist Council on Dooku's home world. Rush Clovis was reporting to the Council on what his droids had overheard.
"Everything that our scouts suspected of this world was confirmed by Jedi Master Ryujakki Amidala," he told them. "It's powerful in the Force, and rich with resources."
"Amidala?" Viceroy Nute Gunray said in surprise at hearing that name. "The senator has a brother?"
"More like a very overprotective uncle," Clovis replied.
"I was unaware she had any family besides her younger sister and her parents," Gunray said.
"We should still take him out," Grievous said.
"I would not underestimate Ryujakki, General," Dooku said. "He can sneak past even the most powerful Force users, take out an entire army before they even see him coming, and outsmart even a droid."
"Impossible," Wat Tambor replied. "There's nothing in the universe smarter than a droid."
"Careful, Tambor," Dooku warned. "Master Amidala is clever enough and most likely noticed Clovis' droid spies. Clovis, take Ventress and Savage with you."
"Yes Lord Dooku," Clovis replied.
"And if you see this team that Master Amidala has assembled to scout this world, engage and destroy them," Dooku finished.
Clovis hesitated and nodded, shocked he would give such an order.
