Gohan flew into the Everfree Forest, smashing and blasting every vine in his way.

He had to admit, it was doing wonders as training.

Dodging and swiftly attacking the vines wasn't the easiest thing.

He saw Zecora's house being overrun.

But he was still going to find the source.

He also had trouble finding it too.

He searched for about a half hour until he heard his friends.

Apparently a rock crocodile was attacking them.

The animal cornered Twilight and Spike to a tree.

So, Gohan acted quickly and smashed the crocodile in two.

"Oh my! Gohan, you didn't need to be-" "He was going to kill them. No amount of your stare would prevent that in this kind of forest." Gohan interrupted Fluttershy.

"Gohan, thank Celestia we found you. We need to find the Tree of Harmony!" Twilight said.

"Tree of- Wait, What? Does it happen to emit a weak ki signature right in that direction?" Gohan asked, pointing in a direction.

"Maybe?" Twilight asked.

"Alright, I'll slow down for you guys. Let me handle the vines." Gohan said.

"M-Maybe we should leave Twilight back in Ponyville." Applejack said.

"Why?" Gohan and Twilight asked.

"Well, we already lost two princesses! Even if we find the Tree of Harmony, it may not bring Princess Celestia and Luna back." Applejack said.

"She does have a fair point. We cannot risk losing a third princess to this unknown foe." Rarity said.

"But I'm the only one who knows about the Tree of Harmony, and what it looks like!" Twilight said.

"Big giant tree being attacked by hideous monsters? Yeah, I think we can find it." Rainbow Dash said.

"Y-You all feel this way...?" Twilight asked.

Everyone else nodded.

"I don't really care." Gohan said.

"Listen, I know it seems dangerous, but I have to come with you!" Twilight said.

"No, Twilight. We need to do this ourselves!" Applejack said.

"If you... If you all think so..." Twilight said.

Gohan sighed. "Go home if you want to. I'm respecting the majority at this point." He said.

"I guess..." Twilight said, trotting away with Spike.

The six made way for the Tree of Harmony.

"Alright, I sense something in there." Gohan said, pointing at a cave from a cliff.

"How will we get there? It's ridden with vines!" Applejack said.

"Already on it. Kamehameha!" Gohan yelled, firing the Kamehameha.

It successfully destroyed the vines.

"And how will we get down?" Applejack asked.

Pinkie Pie fell down the stairs to the bottom of the cliff.

"Take the stairs, silly!" Pinkie Pie yelled.

"Oh my goodness, that tree is being killed!" Gohan yelled.

"Let's save it already!" Applejack said, trying to pull the vine out, but failing.

Rainbow Dash attempted herself, and was knocked away by a sentient vine.

Gohan went next, firing his Kamehameha wave.

Surprisingly, it didn't work!

"What!?" Gohan asked.

"H-How are we going to save the Tree!?" Fluttershy asked.

"Clearly my strength won't work." Gohan said.

"Just go Super Saiyan!" Rainbow Dash said.

"No, it definitely won't work. It just tanked a Kamehameha, and we need another source." Gohan said.

"B-But... We sent Twilight home!" Fluttershy said.

Gohan could sense Twilight and Spike nearby.

Twilight was... She was dying!

"SHE'S IN TROUBLE!" Gohan screamed, flying away at breakneck speeds.

"So, do you STILL-" "ALRIGHT, FINE PINKIE! YOU WIN! HE'S FASTER!" Rainbow Dash interrupted.

"Finally!" Pinkie Pie said.

"Whoa... Never thought I'd hear that come from Rainbow Dash." Applejack said.

"I've been asking her a bit." Pinkie Pie said.

"You mean annoying me with it!" Rainbow Dash said.

Then, Spike came falling down the stairs.

"Guys! Twilight's in trouble!" Spike said.

Twilight was being sprayed by black piranha plants.

They were actually weakening her, too.

They were just about to devour her until suddenly, a blast killed one.

"Stay away from her!" Gohan yelled as he pummeled the piranha plants.

He blasted and smashed them all!

Then, the rest of the Mane 6 came to Twilight's aid.

"Twilight! Are you alright!?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I'm fine, Rainbow." Twilight said, getting herself up.

"We're so sorry we sent you home!" Fluttershy said.

"We don't need our princess right now. We need our friend." Applejack said, and the Mane 6 all got into a group hug.

Now they all were standing in front of the source of the problem.

Twilight flew up to the tree's core, which was her Cutie mark, but a vine prevented her from going near it.

Then, she figured it out.

She flew back to her friends.

"I know what we must do now. We must give the Tree of Harmony our Elements of Harmony." Twilight said.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, how are we supposed to defend Equestria!?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"...Are you serious right now?" Gohan asked.

"Oh, right. Sorry. Just... Just Nightmare Moon, got it." Rainbow Dash said.

"But what if Gohan wasn't enough, and we needed the Elements of Harmony?" Rarity asked.

"I know it seems difficult to part with the Elements of Harmony, but the future is nothing compared to what's happening right now!" Twilight said.

"Even if I weren't enough, what makes you think the Elements of Harmony would be enough to stop everyone?" Gohan asked.

"Twilight, the Elements of Harmony bring us together! They are what keep us connected." Applejack said.

"You're right about one thing, Applejack. They do bring us together. But they don't connect us. It's our friendship! It's more important and more powerful than any magic! My new role in Equestria may mean I have to take on new responsibilities. And our friendships may be tested! But it will never, ever be broken." Twilight said.

The rest of the Mane 6 nodded.

"Everyone ready?" Twilight asked, flying up.

"Ready!" They said.

Twilight used her magic to take each Element of Harmony out of the necklaces and the crown.

She was ready to use them.

However, some vines disagreed with Twilight's plan, and ensnared her in the vines.

Her friends gasped.

Gohan turned Super Saiyan and flew up to the vines. He smashed them all.

"Quick, I'll hold them off!" Gohan said, blasting away some vines.

"Wait, didn't he say going Super Saiyan wasn't enough?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"He was lying to us!" Applejack said, pointing a hoof at Gohan.

"I'm sure it was for a good reason..." Fluttershy said.

"Yes, to learn a lesson on friendship." Rarity said.

Twilight used her magic to put the Elements of Harmony into each section of the Tree.

The Tree lit up, destroying the vines entirely!

Every single one vanished!

Two huge bushes of vines were also destroyed, revealing the stolen princesses!

Everyone's face lit up as they saw the princesses.

Twilight ran at them, hugging them both.

"We know how difficult it must have been to give up the Elements. It took great courage to relinquish them." Celestia said.

The Tree of Harmony started to glow on a carved part of the tree, where Celestia and Luna's Cutie marks lay.

The light traveled to a root, which transformed into a plant.

Twilight touched the plant, which revealed a blue chest.

"What's inside it? How am I supposed to open it?" Twilight asked.

"Six locks, six keys." Luna said.

"I do not know where they are. But I do know it is a mystery we will not be solving at this moment." Celestia said.

The Mane 6, Spike and Gohan were walking back to Ponyville.

They just returned from the Everfree Forest.

Then, confetti blew everywhere.

Discord.

"Bravo girls and boys, bravo!" He said.

He appeared in front of Rainbow Dash.

"How did you save the day this time? With your magic necklaces I presume?" Discord asked.

Then he appeared as a tiny cowboy on Applejack's back. "Where are those little things, anyway? You know, the one which could return me to my EXTREMELY uncomfortable stone prison?" Discord asked.

Applejack sighed. "Gone." She said.

Discord teleported off her back and went back to regular size.

"Gone!? Gone?" He said with a smile.

Fluttershy flew up to Discord. "Our friendship remains. And if you DO want to remain friends, you'll have to stop thinking what you're thinking and help us clean up!" She said.

During that lecture, he shrinked in size before turning himself into a French maid.

"Fine. But I don't do windows!" He said, walking away.

"There's one thing I don't get, why is all this happening now?" Applejack said, as the 8 walked back to Ponyville.

"I have no idea... Those seeds I planted should have sprouted ages ago!" Discord said, suddenly not dressed up.

"What did you say!?" Twilight and Gohan asked.

"Oh, why should I try to explain it when you can see for yourself?" Discord asked, making a potion Zecora made appear.

So, Twilight sipped it, and the Flashback came back.

Turns out that Discord planted and ate plunderseeds that should have taken the magic from the Tree of Harmony thousands of years ago.

Twilight snapped out of her trance.

"And we could have used this information HOURS AGO!?" Twilight asked.

"And rob you of receiving a lesson as princess? What kind of friend do you think I am?" Discord said, pulling Twilight's cheek.

Finally, the Summer Sun Celebration was happening!

Horns blew.

This time, the rest of the Mane 6 were visiting Canterlot.

Gohan was in the back with the princesses.

You know, because he's an ambassador?

Anyway, Twilight even had a new crown.

Celestia and Luna walked up to the stage.

"Citizens of Equestria! It is no longer with a heavy heart, but with great joy that I raise the Summer Sun! For this celebration now represents not the defeat of Nightmare Moon, but the return of my sister, Princess Luna!" Celestia called.

Everyone cheered and clapped.

Princess Luna flew up in front of a giant fake moon representing her cutie mark and lowered the moon.

Princess Celestia flew up in front of a giant fake sun representing her cutie mark and raised the sun.

Twilight immediately flew up and created a magic spell that made the show all the more interesting.

It was a shockwave with her cutie mark on it, separating the sun from the moon.

The sun rose brighter than before.

The three princesses landed on the ground.

The first Summer Sun Celebration for Gohan was so memorable.

Mostly because of the Everfree Forest.

When it's put that way, it's memorable for everyone.

But it was Gohan's first.
