Gohan was training his swordsmanship skills in the gravity chamber as his friends had a picnic.

Twilight received a message from Celestia about a wedding with her brother, Shining Armor, and "Princess Mi Amore Cadenza".

The Mane 6 were tasked with things like decorations, party planning, birds singing, a Sonic Rainboom, fashion, planning, and catering.

Gohan was tasked with meeting with Shining Armor for some reason.

Rainbow Dash knocked on the door of Gohan's gravity chamber, as they needed to get on a train.

"Gohan! Get out here!" Rainbow Dash yelled.

Gohan came out with his sword in hand. "Yeah?" He asked.

"We have a wedding to get to in Canterlot! Grab your clothes, and we'll leave in a jiffy!" She said.

"Uh... Okay!" Gohan said, still confused.

Since it was a wedding, he grabbed only one extra gi and his formal clothes.

He packed his suitcase with a few bits as well.

Gohan put his sword back in it's sheath, which was tied to his back. He forgot to leave it.

The Mane 6 and Gohan were on a train to Canterlot!

"Uh... Gohan? What's with the sword?" Applejack asked.

"Oh! I forgot to leave it! Ugh. Sorry." Gohan said.

"Who knows, maybe we need protection?" Rarity said.

"I don't know, heheh." Gohan said.

Then, he noticed there was a pink forcefield around Canterlot.

"That may explain that forcefield around Canterlot." He said, pointing out the window.

A pink force field was around Canterlot.

"Huh. Wonder why that's there." Pinkie Pie said.

"Protection." Gohan said.

Then everyone started laughing at the obvious answer.

When they arrived in Canterlot, many guards were at Canterlot station.

"What's with the guards?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I'm sure they're just taking extra precautions. A royal wedding should be kept away from the strangest ponies." Rarity said.

Pinkie Pie sneezed confetti.

"Well, let's get going! We have work to do!" Rarity said, trotting away with the Mane 6.

"And YOU have a big brother to go congratulate." Applejack said to Twilight.

"Yeah, congratulate. And give him a piece of my mind." Twilight said, which left the others confused.

"I have to go talk to him too." Gohan said, following Twilight.

Twilight was walking towards her brother, talking to herself. Gohan followed.

Her brother, Shining Armor, was commanding the guards to perform their duties.

"I've got something to say to you, mister!" Twilight called.

As soon as they heard Twilight, they were ready to defend.

"Twily!" Shining Armor said, taking off his helmet and running down to greet Twilight and Gohan.

"I've missed you kid! How was the train ride? I-" Shining Armor said, before he realized Twilight was staring daggers into him.

"How dare you not tell me in person that you were getting married!? I'm your sister for pony's sake!" Twilight said.

"It's not my fault! Princess Celestia has requested a major increase in security. Didn't you see all the guards at the train station?" Shining Armor asked.

"Yeah, there's a big wedding coming up! Maybe you HEARD about it!" Twilight said as she trotted away and stopped at a puddle.

Gohan smiled awkwardly at Twilight.

"It has nothing to do with the wedding. A threat has been made against Canterlot. We don't know who's responsible for it, but Princess Celestia has requested that I provide additional protection." Shining Armor said, walking to his little sister.

Shining Armor raised her head with a hoof.

"This, you need to see." He said.

Shining Armor proceeded to shoot an extra force field from his horn, but it took a lot out of him, and it gave him a headache.

He and Twilight began to trot up the stairs. Gohan followed.

"The burden of keeping Canterlot safe rests squarely on my shoulders. The task at hand has been my top priority." Shining Armor said.

They all stopped on a small bridge above ground.

"Okay, I get it. You have to protect Canterlot with a huge force field that only you can conjure up. But still! How could you not tell me that you were getting married? Am I not that important to you anymore?" Twilight asked, sadness evident.

"Hey. You're my little sister. Of course you're important to me. But I'd understand if you didn't want to be my best mare now." Shining Armor said.

Then she perked up.

"You want me to be your best mare?" Twilight asked excitedly.

"Well, yeah!" Shining Armor said.

"I'd be honored!" Twilight said as they hugged.

"But I'm still ticked that you're marrying somepony I don't even know! Who even is 'Princess Mi Amore Cadenza'?" Twilight said.

"Twily, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza is Cadence. Your old foalsitter!" Shining Armor said.

"Cadence? You mean the best foalsitter in the history of foalsitters!?" Twilight asked.

"You tell me, she was your foalsitter." Shining Armor said.

Twilight described how much of a great foalsitter Cadence was.

Gohan couldn't help but smile.

"You're marrying Cadence!" Twilight sang as she hopped around.

Then, Cadence appeared.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything important?" Cadence said.

Gohan felt a seriously big ki from Cadence.

'She doesn't hide her strength, I guess.' He thought.

It was rather... Dark.

Twilight tried performing a ritual dance with Cadence, as they were best friends.

But Cadence just looked in confusion.

"What are you doing?" Cadence asked.

"Cadence it's me! Twilight!" Twilight said.

"Uh huh." Cadence said as she trotted past Twilight.

"Hello, Son Gohan." Cadence said.

"O-Oh! Hello, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza." Gohan said, immediately bowing.

"That's good, I didn't need to tell him." Cadence said.

"Oh that's right! Gohan, we've heard a lot about you. You've saved Equestria from Discord!" Shining Armor said, hugging Cadence again.

Gohan chuckled nervously.

"I wouldn't like to talk about it." He said.

"I need to get back to my station. Cadence will be around to monitor you guys. Son Gohan, come with me." Shining Armor said, trotting away.

Gohan quickly followed.

Twilight and Gohan did not feel a good vibe from Cadence.

"There's a reason you were invited, Son Gohan." Shining Armor said.

"J-Just Gohan is fine, Shining Armor." Gohan said.

"Okay. You were invited for... Security reasons. You see, you were already with Twilight about the threat, correct?" Shining Armor asked.

"Yes, sir." Gohan said.

"Well, I've been told you can sense irregular powers. Or powerful ponies. Either way, you should contact me if you feel anything like that. If worst comes to worst, I will require you to fight." Shining Armor said.

"I will sir. Do princesses count when the powers are great?" Gohan asked.

"No. Unless it's spiked up too crazy, then you should contact me." Shining Armor said.

"So, essentially I am a bodyguard?" Gohan asked.

"Yes. If anything were to happen to me, or Cadence, or your friends and whatnot, you'll take care of it." Shining Armor said.

"Anything else, sir?" Gohan asked.

"Just relax while you're here. If you would like, you could teach the guards a thing or two. You seem to be a swordsman." Shining Armor said.

"Y-Yeah." Gohan said, grabbing the handle.

"Alright, I have things to do. See you later, Gohan." Shining Armor said, trotting away.

Gohan wanted to tell Shining Armor about Cadence's weird power, and how it kept rising.

But, it would offend him if he had doubts about his wife.
