Blinding light ~Chapter 2~

I drew in a ragged breath, which was surprising considering that i had just died.

It was cold and my body was heavy, like someone had covered me in a pile of wet blankets. I felt power slowly returning into me and i twitched my leg. Then i heard a man’s voice close to my left say in a hushed tone

"Did you see that?! Its leg moved!" even in my in my current state I though Hey! I am not an "it" I wanted to voice my complaint, but I still couldn't move. After another minute a timid female voice to my right said

"umm... how long is this going to take?" The first voice curtly replied

"a few seconds, hold on." I heard soft hoofsteps back away

"ill... I’ll be back here" Then lighting shot directly into my chest, I let out a loud yell of pain but it sounded... off. The tone was too low, and it sounded as if from far away. Then it hit me, I could talk. My body no longer felt heavy. I opened my eyes and stood up scanning the room. I was somewhere underground in an old stone chamber standing in some sort of stone box.

There were two figures in dark robes one on either side of me. One of them made a whimpering noise and my head snapped to them. The pony flinched in fear taking a few steps back. I just stared still confused from this strange series of events.

"Nighters Lightbane!" The stallion said from behind me. I turned to face him and he cleared his throat awkwardly

"I have revived you from your grave so you can help us overthrow Celestia." Then memories impacted my brain, all rushing back in. my eyes grew wide

"WERE IS SHE?!" i growled, my new voice booming off the walls. I could see the stallion pale and he started stammering

"i-i- i don't- i don't know who you’re talking about." he was scuttling back towards the walls visibly shaking with fear. Somewhere in the back of my mind i noticed i had ignited into blue flames as i walked towards him. He had backed all the way to the wall and still advanced to him. When my face was two feet from his i said in a deathly quiet whisper

"Daisy. Where."

"i-i-i- you- please don't hurt me!" the stallion squeaked. My fire flared burning the stallions face

"Aaaah! Ok, ok! I’ll tell you!" he said, his hooves covering the burn.

"Well- well you see when you were umm... killed. She- she ran up and... Well stabbed the executioner, as you would guess the guards were... not happy. Then she was... she was..." my temper rose along with the flames and he yelped

"They killed her!" his eyes widened and he gulped. Rage and denial consumed my thoughts

“NO!" i shouted

"YOU’RE LYING!" and i sent out a wave of fire at him. He tried to flee but at such close range he did little more than flinch as the fire washed over him. The stallion writhed on the ground screaming, even after he ran out of air he made choking noises but i did not flinch. I stared for a few more seconds then he went limp bone showing against his black flesh. Somewhere in off in the corner of my mind i wondered if should have felt remorse for the stallion because i felt nothing but rage.

Then whimpers from behind me attracted my attention. I turned and stared at the sobbing mare, she looked at me with huge eyes full of shock, sorrow, and fear. Right now i felt nothing for the mare i simply snarled and send a lash of flame at her. I walked up a set of old stone steps and out into the sun light.
