Twilight yawned softly, her mane ruffled and her eyes slightly bloodshot, sitting up she rubbed a hoof against her muzzle sighing softly. Crawling out of bed she smiled at the sleeping Spike before moving out of her chambers, rubbing her muzzle again she sighed before hearing an assortment of clanging and thuds on the lower floors. Narrowing her eyes slightly she trotted down the stairs, going down to where her lab was, her eye twitched slightly at the sight she saw. Her equipment had been almost completely gone, a small voice heard. “Make sure to adjust the inter-dimensional couplings…” It said, Twilight’s eye only twitching more as she moved forward.

Looking over a rather large pile of equipment she saw a small grayish creature with green and black clothing toying with the insides of a circular device. “Nick…?” She asked groggily as it turned its head. “Ah Twilight! Welcome! You get to witness me launch my Inter-Dimensional Communicator. Or as my human form would say, a Dimension Hopping Cell Phone.”

“A what..?” The alicorn asked, Nick better have a good explanation for taking apart almost all of her equipment.

“See, when Link and Jason came to my Equestria, it gave me the idea to make a way for me to crossover to other displaced Equestria’s. In which I built this!” He pushed the faceplate down showing a device that had the same green glowing hourglass on it as his Omnitrix dial.

“It is a Plumbers badge, from the Alien Force and Ultimate Alien days of Ben 10. In all honesty I would suggest updating your technology, most galvan's build this technology sleepwalking.” Nick said as he used his finger to slide through the interface of the device, “it is meant to travel across dimensions via a built in teleportation device, along with having a comm link that shoots directly to my Omnitrix. In case of an need of my assistance there is a sort of teleportation device called summon, and how I return called return.”

Twilight rubbed a hoof against her chin, allowing the insult on her technology to slide. “Amazing...could you teach me in the ways of the Galvan?” She asked, “I knew Azmuth built the Omnitrix which is extremely impressive, but this device is amazing!”

“Thank you, and yes. It all depends on if my human form is free or not, in which case he probably will be.” Nick said as the sound of his Omnitrix powering down was imminent, punching in a few commands into the device it rose to the air, a green like beam forming around it as it disappeared into nothingness.

Reverting to his human form Nick rubbed his eyes, in nothing but shorts and a tee shirt. “Yeah sorry about that, Galvan's tend to build when bored. But I did manage to make my own token, now I suppose I wait to see who picks up.” He said chuckling softly.

Twilight nodded at this, “Nick? Do you think...maybe one time I could come to a different Equestria with you? I am rather fascinated with the idea of multiple Equestrias...” She explained looking up at him with tired puppy doggish eyes.

Nick rubbed his chin before shrugging, “why not. It’ll be fun, you should probably get back to bed though.” He said chuckling and looking at the bags underneath her eyes.Twilight couldn’t help but giggle, “I had to see who was down here fumbling around with my stuff...thanks Nick...and night…” She said as she walked back upstairs.

Nick chuckled softly yawning slightly, "night Twilight."

A month and a half had passed since Nick and the gangs return to Ponyville along with Nick launching his token the day after, Nick laying on the top of a building. Looking up at the sky and the pegasi working on the clouds, it had been rather quiet since Erebus failed attempt of taking over Canterlot. Sure yeah, there were monster attacks here and there, but nothing mutated.

Nick wasn’t complaining, it gave him time to train and hone his swordsmanship and use his new found magic in new ways. He had decided today he’d just lay back and relax, ‘wonder how long it’s gonna last…’ He thought as he closed his eyes for a few moments and taking a breath of fresh air.

Personally Nick was never really an outdoors person, but he was enjoying himself. A small smile on his face as his nose twitched slightly, opening his eyes he was met with two massive yellow and red eyes.

Nick jumped slightly from the sudden arrival of Eris, “Eris what the fuck! We’ve talked about this!”

Eris giggled wildly at his reaction clearly being amused, “I know. I decided to ignore the entire conversation!”

Nick pinched the bridge of his nose, “of course you did…” Taking a deep breath he opened his eyes looking at her, “so what did you want?” He asked raising an eyebrow.

The female draconequus grinned widely, disappearing in a burst of confetti before reappearing behind Nick her body wrapped around his own, her nose pressed against his and his claws and paw on his cheeks. “Wanna hang out again?” She asked with a mischievous grin.

Nick blinked, “but we hung out yesterday...actually come to think of it. You’ve been basically everywhere I am since you recovered from Erebus’s assault on your magic.” Nick narrowed his eyes at Eris.

“Not everywhere silly! I don’t follow you to the bathroom or when you shower or when you go to shave your growing beard!” Eris replied smiling at him, the two still extremely close this making Nick’s cheeks flush slightly in color.

“Uh...yeah…” Nick said nervously as he sighed softly, “but uh to answer your question...sure we can hang out today…”

“Awesome!” She said enthusiastically and quickly unwrapped herself from Nick making him spin in an almost cartoonish manner as he held his head a bit. “Ok yeah…” He said shaking himself slightly.

“Oh! We can go get ice cream again! Or vandalize the Royal Gardens! Or cause a bit of chaos in the Everfree!” Eris said, more excited than normal.

“I’d say get ice cream. We’d get in massive trouble doing the others…” Nick said rubbing the back of his head, Eris pouting. “Fine.” She said as she snapped her talons together, the two appearing in SugarCube Corner.

“Huh, no oversized Ice Cream? No Ice Cream pool? This is just like-” Nick was cut off as Eris made strong eye contact with him. “When we first hung out…” Eris finished for him.

“Yeah…” Nick replied Mrs. Cake looked at the two, “oh! Eris and Nick! Welcome back, I assume the usual?”

“Actually Mrs. Cake, I was gonna try the chocolate Ice Cream this time,” Nick said chuckling softly, Eris rubbing a talon against her chin. “I could make an ice cream out of nowhere...but I’ll…” She choked at her last few words. “I’ll order a vanilla ice cream…”

Nick raised an eyebrow, he was suspicious and confused. ‘Eris is acting odd. She’s trying to be normal, well. As normal as she can get. It’s weird....’ He thought to himself.

Eris looked at Nick as Mrs. Cakes moved away to gather the ice cream, Nick looked around nervously whistling slightly. ‘I’ve made eye contact with Eris before! Why can’t I do it now..?’ He asked himself in his mind, Eris grinning at him.

“Yeah I know right? It’s weird…” She replied to his thought, Nick’s face turning a bright vibrant red. “U-uh...Eris stay out of my head! Christ!” He said suddenly looking to the side.

The draconequus knew what made him tick from reading his thoughts and snooping around inside his memories, “but Niiiiiiiiick I want to~,” she said, her voice suggestive as she leaned her head against his chest.

Only adding to the blush that spread across his face, “I can fight a mutant Timber Wolf, a Bug Bear, fucking Erebus! But I can’t handle a draconequus..?”

His heart was beating against his chest, stuttering up a storm now every time he opened his mouth. “I-I-I...Uh...words...UGH!” He said as Eris moved away from him laughing up a storm.

“BWHAHAHA! YOU SHOULD’VE SEEN THE LOOK ON YOUR FACE! OH SWEET CELESTIA THAT WAS PRICELESS!” She shouted laughing even harder, forming a tissue out of nowhere and wiping away her tears of joy.

Nick looked away taking a small breath and calming down, “Eris don’t do that again…”

“Oh you’re gonna be slightly disappointed then Nick. That’s the theme today!” Eris retorted grinning widely at him, Nick gave her a nervous chuckle in response and took a deep breath. ‘Oh god what did I get myself into…’

“Eris do you REALLY have to be that close..?” Nick asked, the draconequus leaning against him. Nick took another breath, she was acting really weird. Eris looked at him and narrowed her eyes. “Yes.”

Nick used his free hand to rub his nose, “you know you have an unhealthy obsession with me right? You've been teasing and stuff essentially all day and its...I don't know what to even say to it."

“I wouldn’t consider it an obsession…” She whispered softly, Nick raising an eyebrow. “Then what would you consider it then?”

Eris looked to the side, “eh...I don’t know…” She said as Nick’s expression was one of concern, was she being shy of what to tell him? ‘You’d think a spirit of chaos couldn’t get shy and always be direct…’ He thought to himself, coughing a bit he let up on her.

“Hey there’s a hill up ahead. You wanna, I dunno. Sit up there and watch the sunset? I know that’s cliche as hell. But you know what, it’s the only thing I can think of at the moment.” Nick said in a half joking manner, Eris chuckling a bit before perking up.

“I could teleport us up there you know?” She said Nick walking toward the hill with her at his side, “well yeah but I gotta walk every once in awhile right?” Nick replied smiling as Eris sighed.

“Fiiiiine,” she said giving a fake strenuous sigh. She couldn’t explain why at the moment but, after spending essentially countless hours and days being intrigued by the human and the fact that he was already a good person from what she could tell and from what she experienced.

The talk she had with him brung her even closer to him, she could never open up to even Fluttershy about something like that considering she just, just didn’t think Fluttershy would understand what that felt like...

Eris looked at Nick who continued to walk, with a small smile on his face. She could only give her classic grin following beside him staying close, a few more minutes passed before the two reached the hill.

Nick putting his hands on the grass as he sat down with both his legs crossed and leaned back slightly. “Hey Nick?” Eris piped up.

“Yes?” Nick replied looking at her, Eris chuckled slightly. “I don’t understand these feelings that I’m having right now…”

“Uhhh, I’d say having a close friend?” Nick asked raising an eyebrow, Eris shook her head laying on the grass next to him, her head pressed against his shoulder. “No it feels...like more than that, ever since that day we had that talk I just...I don’t understand what I’ve been feeling lately! I’m not used to this feeling!”

Nick looked at her, a small blush on his face as his heart began to beat fiercely against his chest. Shakily he leaned down and rested his cheek against hers, “it's probably a leap in logic but...maybe it’s love..?”

Eris looked at Nick, her cheeks flushing in color as Nick’s eyes connected with hers. She pressed her nose against his, the sun setting in front of them.

Nick’s heart only beating faster and faster before he felt her paw press against his chest, “that wouldn’t be that much of a leap big boy…” She whispered to him, Nick’s face exploding red. His eye tracing down her body and to her tail which was swaying sensually.

“O-oh! Look! The sun is setting already!” Nick said as he finally broke eye contact with Eris looking at the sun, his mind going a million miles an hour.

The draconequus smiled and put her head in his lap, “you know...today I tried acting normal because I decided today was the day I told you how I felt about you.” She sighed softly looking at the sun.

Nick let out a shy and almost cute chuckle, “y-yea…” He stuttered, he had experienced love in past yeah sure. But almost always it ended in his heart aching and him walking around a school or his house staring blankly at everything and fighting back that feeling of total loneliness.

But today, it felt different...it felt new...his heart began to slow down as he looked down at her. His nose pressing against her cheek as he let out a sigh of happiness and closed his eyes, Eris smiling softly and wrapping her tail around his leg.

“This was nice Nick…” She said softly as Nick opened his eyes, “yeah...it was…” He said as the sun finally set and the moon began to rise.

The two stood up as Nick rubbed the back of his head, “well I should uh...I should get going…” He said still blushing softly as Eris smirked at him even blushing herself. “Ahhhh is the big strong hero shy about a little affection?” She teased smiling at him as Nick shook his head.

“Man get outta here Eris!” He said chuckling softly as the draconequus seemingly popped out of existence, Nick putting his hands in his pockets.

He looked up and back at Twilight’s castle, it shining in the moonlight as he smiled. ‘Here I am thinking of dating a Spirit of Chaos…still firmly stand by the fact I won’t fuck any ponies but her? I can get behind…’ He smiled softly as he walked.

The night blanketing the land as Nick continued to walk. “God I am so gonna make her blush tomorrow if she shows up...which she probably will, not that I ever complain.” Nick yammered as he continued to walk, no alien forms today, no magic, just him and his good two legs and feet.

I finally had the guts to FINALLY launch Eris and Nick as a couple, now I have been working on this chapter for a while scared to put it out because of backlash. But I'm still hoping that is is enjoyable regardless and well, you guys can see how the relationship between Nick and Eris develop ^^
