Erebus gagged as he appeared in his lair, choking on the air he grabbed his throat with one hand and quickly pushed away some of his equipment. Having multiple bald spots on his head he typed in a command into a safe hidden behind his desk, it opening sterilized air coming from it two helmets present. One with a glowing blue visor and another with a glowing yellow one, grabbing the blue one he slammed it on his head, connecting the wiring onto his shoulder before he took a deep breath.

The red lights around his armor changing to a bright vibrant blue as he sighed deeply, “fuck...FUCK!!!” He let out a blood curdling scream, his plan blew up horribly in his face. Slamming his fist down and through a wooden table he growled. “Nicholas will pay for this...he humiliated me!” He growled as he looked up.

“He killed my Timber Wolf...my soldiers! He has King Sombra’s horn in his possession!” He growled as he narrowed his eyes, “but what he does not have is your intelligence.”

Erebus wiped around grabbing a pale white unicorn by her collar, “what do you want?! How did you find this place!?” He shouted, the unicorn narrowing her eyes at him.

“My friends call me Gloom-” Erebus pushed her aside, “friends are irrelevant in my questions. What do you want?” He asked taking deep breaths attempting to keep a level head.

“I want to assist you,” she said, Erebus’s ears perked up.

“What could you possibly do, that Shade hasn’t. My acquaintances,Velocity Hoof and Stone will not like a replacement for Shade, and considering one of my helmets is more than likely in the hands of that putrid human...I do not see what kind of assistance you can give me. Unicorn.” Erebus ratted off, he was pissed off.

“I can take you to ponies who share the same hatred for the humans new allies, retrieve your helmet and horn, and single out the human for your revenge.” Gloom explained, Erebus looked at her, kneeling down in front of her. “What is your end goal then ‘Gloom?’”

“All I want? I want in on your plans, I’ve listened in on the conversations the human and the Elements had before you challenged him out to a battle.” Gloom said as she looked back at Erebus with her glowing yellow eyes, “what I want is to assist you in the oncoming storm on Equestria. I want a section…”

Erebus narrowed his eyes, “perhaps...you can be of assistance. Plans have changed due to my most recent defeat, I’ll need many things to plan a new one.” He grumbled as he clicked his gauntlet, a holographic image of items appearing. “I can give you the equipment to deal with the ponies and Nicholas. But, this device will require some components, altering your genetic structure and magic from the Crystal Heart.”

Gloom rubbed a hoof against her chin, “I can gather these things…” She mumbled rubbing her chin. “Good, I must speak with my associates on my recent failure, you go back to your home. Believe me, you’ll know when I call. Dismissed.” He said snapping his finger Gloom disappearing.

Erebus rubbed his face before disappearing himself.

Erebus reappeared in a dimly lit room, sitting in a chair he crossed his arms. “I am disappointed in you Erebus,” one voice spoke up. A disgusting and mangled body of a pegasus spoke up, her body half flesh and the other have cybernetically enhanced to assist her in keeping herself together.

“I TOLD you we should’ve attacked the Griffins first! But did no one listen to me?! No!” Another shouted, a earth pony looking at Erebus intently with his bright pupilless eyes. His entire body seemed to be made of stone as Erebus took a deep breath. “SILENCE!” He shouted slamming his hands on the metallic table.

“None of you would have your gifts if not for me! I am your superior! Now allow me to fucking think before I strip you of your abilities and use your organs for my experiments!” He growled.

The cyborg, Velocity growled slightly. “We allowed you to think Erebus, your thinking gave us NOTHING except an aware human and now whole Equestria!”

Stone slammed his rocky hoof into the table, “not to mention the chaos goddess must have recovered by now! For the smartest man in this Equestria, you pulled a dumb move with an all out assault!”

“FINE!” Erebus shouted as he stood up warping in front of Velocity and slamming her head against the table. “From now on we do things the SMART way! I have a volunteer to assist us in our mission to take over this Equestria. Believe me, she is an unknowing subject to my next experiment.”

Velocity spoke with her voice slightly muffled, “what are you planning Erebus?”

“Since Nicholas is a big time Ben 10 fan, he’ll figure out the devices I am crafting from now on.” Erebus grinned underneath his mask, “I will not make the same mistake twice boy…” He growled.

Nick stood on the balcony of Celestia’s chambers, he had to be honest reconstruction of Canterlot looked rather slow. ‘Well considering their rebuilding an entire city I suppose it’s plausible.’ He thought to himself rubbing his chin a beard growing. “Yeah I gotta shave.”

“Maybe Eris can make some shaving cream for me…” He thought to himself, “sir Nicholas? The princesses would like an audience with you.” The voice of a royal guardsmen said.

Nick raised an eyebrow, “alright I guess.” He dug his hands into his pockets as he followed behind the guard. Walking he thought to himself, ‘after everything I’ve been through at this point I wanna go home, and go hang out with Sweetie Belle, or Eris. Or both.’

The guard opened the door to the throne room, Nick walking into the sound of trumpets playing along with a lot of the noble ponies looking at him with disgust. Ignoring them he looked forward through the aisle, seeing Celestia in the middle with a smiling Twilight on her right and aj also smiling Luna on her left.

Nick blinked as he finally made it forward, “citizens of Canterlot. I have gathered you all today to commend our young hero, Nicholas Taylor.”

“Commend him for what?” One pony said in the audience, “for assisting in saving our fair city, possibly all of Equestria from complete invasion.” Celestia replied, Nick rubbing the back of his head blushing horribly. His heart beating against his chest.

The ponies in the audience were expecting a dashing young heroic stallion to enter from those doors, and Nick knew this. ‘If I’m being honest I did a mediocre job but I still helped.’ He thought chuckling to himself.

“Young Nicholas Taylor, I am proud to thank you for assisting in saving our city. Without your help I do not believe we would’ve been able to stop Shade and...Erebus from taking over.” Celestia complemented, Nick chuckled softly. “Heh thanks…”

“We shall be honest,” Luna spoke up, “we were not very sure of thy’s alignment when we first contacted thee. However, after watching thee in battle and the showmanship of selflessness in battle and a willingness to do anything to protect us. We are proud of thee, Sir Nicholas.”

“Agreed,” Celestia followed up her horn glowing and a box floating in front of her. “Which is why I am proud to give you my sword.” Celestia said opening the box up, the sharp blade Nick had used to cut off Shade’s horn lying in it, completely cleaned and glowing, showing his reflection in the blade.

“Oh no no no…” Nick said shaking his head, “I can’t take that...I did all that to protect you guys.” He said blushing even more, Celestia floating the sheath around his torso by a leather strap and sheathing the blade on his back.

“Nonsense,” She said smiling softly stepping forward and nuzzling Nick’s chest softly. Nick’s eyes widened, “thank you.” She whispered softly as Nick smiled and hugged her neck. “Your welcome…”

“What could this human possibly have done to assist aside from being a punching bag!” The same pony said standing up from his seat, the audience and the princesses looking at him a soft blue pegasus in a regal suit, his cutie mark a type of crystal Bit.

“Nick, may you explain?” Celestia asked, Nick nodding before coughing a bit. “Well, first off I know magic.” Nick said as he snapped his fingers together, a spark of flames coming to life on his index finger as he then clenched his fist it disappearing.

“The unicorn section of the Royal Guards know advanced combat magic! I am not impressed monkey,” the pegasus stated. Nick chuckled slightly, “I wasn’t finished, alongside magic I have a device that turns me into various extraterrestrial creatures. Aliens,” Nick finished clicking the Omnitrix and pushing down on the dial turning into the Vladat, Whampire.

“You see? I am still me, oh why am I explaining this?” He asked clicking the Omnitrix on his waist reverting to his human form. “But thank you for this princesses, but. Right now? I’d like to go home, back to Ponyville. These have been a loooong couple of days…”

“Understood,” Celestia acknowledged as she slammed her hoof against the ground, “my citizens you may return home, reconstruction should be done overnight.” The sun goddess said, the pegasus grumbling as he followed the crowd.

“Congratulations Nick!” Twilight said hugging his legs, Nick smiled softly as he rubbed her head. “Yeah yeah yeah,enough with the thanks. At this point I wanna go back to Ponyville and pray there's a Bug Bear attack, compared to what just happened? I can take whatever Equestria has to throw at me!” Nick said confidence in his chest, Rainbow Dash hovering above him and roughly pushing her hoof in his head, rubbing it vigorously.

“Yeah! I say the same thing dude!” She said as Nick chuckled softly, “yeah. You guys ready to go home?” Nick asked raising an eyebrow, the group giving a simultaneous, “mmmmhmm!”

“Then onward! To Ponyville!” Nick shouted unsheathing his blade and raising it in the air, lowering it back down he smiled. “Always wanted to do that…”

Erebus crouched over a building watching the grumpy blue pegasus open his door, “he will do nicely...pure hatred for Nicholas...just what me and him have in common…” He whispered grinning underneath his helmet.

“Considering he enjoys riches so much, maybe I shall give him his wildest dream...or most terrifying nightmare tomorrow...now I must work on my experiments. Test my newest pet,” he then looked at the ground, seeing Nick and the group walking to the train station. “Soon Nicholas… You want to play hero? Let’s see how long you enjoy the heroic life style fool…” He grumbled as he disappeared in a flash of blue light.
