The two princesses were ready to leave the castle, they spread their wings and flew away. They didn’t talk while they were flying. They had a lot to think, both of them.

1 HOUR LATER
The princesses had landed to the Crystal Empire. They were greeted by the citizens of the empire. They weren’t laughing nor cheering. Instead they were worried and unsatisfied of the situation. But they wanted to hear every last detail of the battle. The elements of harmony, princess Cadence, Shining armor, Spike and Starlight were all at the same room they first met after the incident that happened on Canterlot. A guard walked in and announced the return of the princesses.

"Your majesties, I have news about Princess Celestia and Princess Luna."

"You have new? Tell me they are ok." Twilight said.

"They are in a perfect condition Princess Twilight, they are coming here right now."

The two princesses entered the room. They were wounded and hurt.

"Oh my, what happened to you? You look terrible!" Cadence said.

"Are you going to be ok?" Twilight asked.

"These monsters back at Yakyakistan were able to get a few hits on us, but we will recover...." Celestia said.

"Shining armor told us everything about what happened in Yakyakistan. That there was chaos and there were a lot of weird monster attacking the castle." Cadence said.

"Please, princesses tell us, what happened to Prince Rutherford." Twilight asked.

"I am afraid that, Nocturne was able to…kill him before we could react." Luna said with an unsatisfied tone.

"Wait, so you are telling us that Yakyakistan is no more?" Shining armor asked.

"It's true. Ever Yak was killed in the attack, i just wished that we could have saved them." Celestia said.

Everypony were surprised that Nocturne had managed to destroy Yakyakistan.

"So, the sacrifices of our soldiers were for nothing?!" Cadence asked.

"Yes, they weren’t prepared for Nocturne or any of his soldiers. None of us were." Celestia said.

"What are we gonna do next?" Spike asked.

"The best thing that we all should do now is get some rest, even if i fear that Nocturne may do something terrible to you in your sleep time, we are going to need to relax to regain our strength or else we won't go anywhere." Luna said.

"And how bad will these dreams be?" Fluttershy asked.

"My dear Fluttershy i am sorry to say but....you will suffer a lot." Luna said.

They didn’t object, even if they had in mind that something bad will happen to them during their sleep, they hoped that princess Luna will be there to save them. They then got up and went to their rooms. They said good night and went to sleep. Before Twilight could reach her bed, she heard a knock on her door. She walked to the door and opened it. It was Starlight.

"Oh hello Starlight, you got something to say?"

"Yes i do and it's important!"

She got into the room and shut the door.

"I hope Spike won’t hear a thing about this" Starlight said.

"Don’t worry about it, he is sleeping in the corner."

"Good."

Starlight then showed Twilight her hoof. It was getting worst. It had spread all across her shoulder. And her skin was getting darker with some small wounds at the source of the infection.

"Twilight, it’s getting worst. I don’t know what to do."

"Starlight…I don’t know what to say, I have never seen something like this. Please we are gonna have to tell the princesses about this, they might know what this is."

"I don’t like that idea Twilight, but I trust you. Ok tomorrow I will tell them about….this."

"It’s probably for the best Starlight. But don’t be afraid, we are all together in this."

"Ok, thank you Twilight."

Starlight then opened the door and went to her room.

Twilight got to her bed, closed her eyes and slept. After a minute or so she heard a noise coming from the closet. She opened her eyes. She got up slowly and approached the closet. She then used her magic and opened the closet slowly. The closet was then immediately opened by itself and Twilight was knocked back. From the closet, Nocturne appeared.

"Hello there Twilight!"

"Spike, run!"

"Don’t bother, he won’t listen."

Twilight took a deep breath and said.

"What do you want from me?"

"Oh, I just wanted to meet you personally."

Twilight blinked and Nocturne was right in front of her. He was as tall as Princess Luna and a little taller.

"You see Twilight, you and your friends may have met countless of dangers around Equestria, but i am different!

"Even if that's true, that doesnt mean that in the end we won't defeat you!"

"Are you sure about that? Do you know how many ponies i have killed to get to the point where i am now? It was a VERY long journey!"

"Yet here you are Nocturne, trying to scare me inside of this dream!"

Nocturne laughed.

"I am glad you figured that it was a dream so fast. You indead are smart! But you are wrong in only one thing!"

"And what is that?" She asked.

"It's simply, i may want to scare you, feast on your Nightmares and Affliction. But mostly....FEAR!"

Nocturne’s right hoof became a claw and grabbed Twilight from the neck and pushed her across the window of her room.

"Look Twilight, soon everything that you see won’t exist anymore! Nor your friends, Celestia and Luna, your brother and his wife and even your family. Everything that you hold dear will soon be gone! But for now enjoy the rest of your life, for now!"

Nocturne then threw her out of the window she tried to fly back up but a shadow claw came out of her widow and dragged her down to the ground with such force that killed her. Twilight woke up gasping, sweating and she was hurt. She never felt like that ,she felt like if she had died and came back. She wasn’t sure what to do now.

Rainbow Dash was at a race at Cloudsdale. She was excited and was ready to win.

"Hey"
Rainbow Dash heard somepony near her. She turned to look. It was Nocturne, it seems that he was about to race as well.

"Hello, Rainbow."

"What the! What do you want here! Leave my dream immediately or else!"

"Jeez hostile. I am just here to race you RD, that's all"

Her eyes were filled with tears and she started laughing.

"Do you really think that you can beat me in a race?!"

"I don’t think that I can beat you in a race RD, I believe it. But before we start the racer let’s get rid of the others shall we?"
Nocturne got on two hooves and tendrils came out of his front hooves immediately impaling the other racers and killing them.

"I hope you are ready. Rainbow Crash!"

The race had started and Nocturne flew away.

"Oh I will show you!"

She started flying. They were both fast. But Nocturne had the advantage thanks to him starting first. Rainbow Dash had enough.

"Time to show you my sonic rainboom!"

Nocturne was not impressed and continued flying. Rainbow Dash backed up and went up into the skies. She then came down at the speed of light. She had activated her sonic rainboom. She then passed Nocturne and was first. She looked behind and saw that Nocturne was far away. She laughed.

"Very well little dashie, if you want to play like that then you will have it!"

Nocturne then charged his demonic energies and devoured the souls of all the pegasus watching the race. Their bodies were rotten without any source of life in them, they had lost their colours, cuttie marks, manes and even their eyes. They were just empty husks that were falling from the sky and into the ground. After Nocturne started flying so fast that in a matter of seconds he reached Rainbow Dash, he then stomped on her head with such force that she started falling down as well. Nocturne passed the finish line and started flying down as well to meet Rainbow Dash. She had fallen down, she was wounded and hurt.

"Looks like I won. And you know what happens now."

Nocturne's front hooves transformed into claws, he then grabbed her wings and started ripping them appart. After a few seconds of pain and cries that felt like an eternity her wings were cut from her back. She started screaming once more and her back was bleeding heavily. Nocturne then dropped her wings in front of her and said.

"I believe that you have enjoyed these for far too long!"

Rainbow Dash was speechless and terrified.

"Sweet Nightmares."

He then impaled the back of her head with his blade, the blade then came out of her mouth and was painted with her blood, Nocturne then grabbed her neck with his claw and ripped her head as well. She was finaly dead.
Rainbow Dash woke up from the huge pain that she endured in her dream. The pain however remained and she looked at her back hoping to see her wings intact. Lucky for her, her wings were ok. But it felt so real.
Princess Cadence was at her bed with her husband Shining armor. They were both sleeping. Cadence then felt her husband hugging her.

"Why are you so cold shining?" She asked with confusion.

He didn’t reply. She felt suspicious and turned to look at him. It was Nocturne, she fell down from the bed in terror.

"What’s the matter sweetie? Isn’t your lovely Shining armor here with you?" Nocturne asked.

"Who are you! What did you do to my husband!

"Oh but you know very well who I am."

"Nocturne! Celestia and Luna told me about you!"

"Then they must have told you of what I am capable of. This gives you on more reason to be afraid of me!"

"I am not afraid of you Nocturne. I know this is just a dream and there is nothing you can do to scare me!"

"It might be a dream, but what if this dream shows you what might happen in the future?"

He then run across the room and entered Flurry Hearts room.

"Flurry!" She shouted.

Flurry Heart was crying loudly from her room.

"Don’t worry sweetie. Mommy is coming."

When she entered the room she saw her husband holding a knife and he started stabbed Flurry Heart repeatedly none stop.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" She shouted.

Before she could do anything else Flurry Heart was dead and then Shining armor stabbed himself in the neck, he then continiued moving the knife accros the rest of his neck in result he decapitated himself. His corpse fell down and his head rolled in front of Cadence. She started screaming in terror and tears started falling down her cheacks. Nocturne then appeared behind her grabbing her shoulder, she then looked up.

"This is just the beggining my dear"

He said while petting her with his claw.

"YOU MONSTER!" She shouted. She was about to charge her magic and hit Nocturne but it was too late for her to do anything to defend herself in this Nightmare.

He punched her in the face immediately waking her up, she was screaming and crying. Shining armor immediately hugged her tight and said.

"It's ok, it's ok it was just a dream."

She didn't say anything, she just kept hugging back until....

"But what if you haven't woken up yet?"

Cadence quickly looked at her husband again but to her surprise it was Nocturne.

"Sweet Nightmares" He said with a demonic laughter.

She tried to run away but she was trapped in his clutches and out of fear she woke up into the hooves of her real husband who was trying to calm her down.

Luna was in a room alone she was frustrated.

"NO! I FAILED. CURSE YOU NOCTURNE! YOU WORTHLESS BEING OF DARKNESS!"

Princess Celestia then walked in to the room.

"What happened? Are you ok Luna?"

"Oh I am fine alright. BUT I WASN’T ABLE TO STOP NOCTURNE. HE ENTERED THE MINDS OF THE ELEMENTS' OF HARMONY AND CADENCE’S! I FAILED THEM!

Celestia hugged her.

"We both know that Nocturne is more powerful than us. But shouting won’t help us defeat him."

"I am sorry sister. But I can’t let our friends fall victims to Nocturne."

"I know." She replied.

Nocturne was outside of the Crystal Empire, he was watching as always and said.

"I expected you to act better Luna, hmm it seems that all this time of peace has made you weaker. Oh well, soon your will regain your powers and i will consume every bit of you! Your powers will be mine and this world will perish. And when the time comes i will returne to our home and finaly have my revenge!"

When he said that he left the Empire and was gone into the dark and cold night.
