The sun had risen and the daytime had began. Everypony woke up and were ready to start their day. Some of them however had a lot to think and consider. When Twilight had woken up she remembered her encounter with Nocturne last night, her back was still hurt and she was in pain. Rainbow dash tried to forget everything that happened and play it cool around her friends and the princesses. But even the bravest of them all still have this thought at the back of their heads. Saying to them that they will be killed and will suffer in the worst possible. Cadence could not believe what she saw last night, she saw her two most loved ponies die a horrible death, she was depressed and though that this may be a sign that they will die. She could not think anything else, except them being safe. The four princesses gathered and the throne room and were talking about the things that have happened so far.

"I can’t believe it. How can somepony be so twisted?" Cadence said with an angry tone.

"Yes, how can Nocturne be like this? Where does he find the courage to hurt other ponies and not feel bad about?"

Twilight asked.

"I am sorry that I wasn’t able to protect you last night. I am sorry that I let Nocturne fill your heads with these terrifying visions! But I was powerless." Luna said.

"We all have seen nightmares in our lives, but Nocturne is something else. He can make these dreams feel….real. That’s why you would either wake up with wounds, bruises or anything that has to do with physical pain. And now Nocturne has taken all of Equestria. It is unknown however what he has done with the citizens of each city or village." Celestia said.

"I just hope he hasn’t hurt them." Twilight said.

"I doubt that. From what I saw last night, I don’t think that Nocturne even possesses just a tiny bit of mercy in him."

Cadence said.

"Nocturne doesn’t want to just kill us all like that. He wants the whole Equestria to know that we are responsible for this destruction." Celestia said.

"And how is he gonna accomplice that? Everypony knows that he started the whole thing and he is destroying everything!" Twilight said

"Maybe, but Nocturne is smarter that you think." Luna said.

"My sister is right. If we plan on defeating Nocturne, we are gonna have to do a little research on him. There are still thinks that Crossbleser knew about Nocturne that even we didn’t" Celestia said.

"And for us to find out, we are gonna have to find out where he’s secret library is." Luna said.

"Yet however his time has passed and you still don't know where his library is?" Cadence asked.

"I am afraid so. Crossbleser was a good pony, but he didn’t want anypony to find out about what he was doing."

"So…where do we start?" Twilight asked.

"Before we head back to our home and search for the library we must first get prepared." Celestia said.

"I suggest we start at our local library, there we might find sorts of spells that can help to defeat Nocturne." Luna said.

"Let’s get going then....wait what do you mean by head back to our home?" Twilight asked with curiosity.

Celestia didn't say anything nor Luna, they just kept their heads down with a sad look. Twilight didn't say anything even if she was wondering about what they meant.

They all then left the throne room and headed to the library out of the castle. While they were heading to the library Twilight saw Starlight outside Sunburst’s house. Twilight stopped.

"You guys continue, I have to talk to Starlight." Twilight said.

"Starlight? The pony you were talking about Twilight?" Celestia said.

"Yes princess."

"Ok Twilight, but be quick we have a lot of work ahead of us." Celestia said.

Twilight then left her group and headed to Sunburst’s house. She knocked on the door and Sunburst opened it.

"Oh, hello princess Twilight, nice to see you again." He said.

"Thank you Sunburst, but please call me Twilight."

"Ok, sorry please come in."

Twilight got inside and saw Starlight sitting in a chair near the table. When Starlight saw Twilight she was surprised.

"Um, Twilight what are you doing here?"

"I saw you outside heading here so I followed you. The question is, what are you doing here?"

Starlight felt a little embarrassed.

"I felt that it would be nice to see my old friend in my time of need."

"I understand, but you still have to tell the princesses about what has happened to your…hoof."

"But what if it turns out to be something very dangerous and they decide to throw me out because of this?"

"Don’t worry Twilight. I have already began looking at Starlight’s…disease? It appears to be some sort of living organisms inside your hoof that are spreading all around your body. Of course these organisms are harming and are destroying you from inside and are replacing the original cells with theirs’ that they make." Sunburst said.

"So…can you translate all what you said in English now?" Asked Starlight.

Sunburst rolled his eyes.

"What I am saying is…that you are changing, into something else."

"What exactly?" Starlight asked.

"I don’t know. But whatever you are changing into, it can’t be good. I am worried about you Starlight. I keep hearing about somepony named Nocturne that he is trying to destroy Equestria and he has already destroyed Yakyakistan. If Nocturne will do something horrible to you i….wouldn’t know what to do!" He said.

Starlight hugged him and cried a little.

"Thank you for worring about me Sunburst. If it wasn't for you right now I wouldn't know what to do."

She said this while she was holding him tight.

"Ok, Twilight lets go talk to the princesses." She said.

They left the house and made their way to the library. While they were walking to the library, something happened. The disease had spread all across from her hoof to her left cheek. It was filled with small cuts that were slowly spreading all across her face. She felt pain and had fallen down.

"Starlight! Oh no please tell me you are ok?!" Twilight panicked.

Starlight looked at Twilight and said.

"No it’s nothing I just…."

Twilight was staring right at Starlight’s face. When Starlight noticed, she stopped talking.

"What is it? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Starlight, it has spread even further! Your left cheek, it’s full of cuts."

Starlight was terrified.

"What?"

"We don’t have much time, come on we have to get the princesses. Hurry!"

They then started rushing all across the town to reach the library. They didn’t stop until they had reached the library. When they did they opened the door and found the princesses studying new spells that will help them at defeating Nocturne.

"Oh, Twilight you have returned and you brought your friend with you."

Starlight was hiding behind Twilight but they could see her.

"Yes, I am back and we have something important to tell you." Twilight said.

"Twilight is right. We have to tell you something."

Starlight then faced the three Alicorns and said.

"Do you know what this is?"

She showed her hoof to them, they all gasped and the terrible sight. Cadence couldn’t make anything out of it, but Celestia and Luna knew what that was. Luna stepped forward.

"When did that happened?"

Luna said in a frustrating way.

"Luna, calm down. We don’t have to react like that!"

"No sister we have to react like that! You know what will happen to her!" Luna said.

"Wait, can you please tell us as well what this is?" Twilight asked.

"It’s what we used to refer to as: Knights Of Terror" Celestia said.

"Nocturne could give this disease to anypony in their sleep or while they were awake." Luna said.

"This disease slowly goes through your body infecting it. It can change your behavior and overall your entire body."

Celestia said.

"But the worst thing of all is that when your body is fully infected you will forever serve Nocturne." Luna said.

Twilight was scared and worried for Starlight.

"So is there a cure? How can I be good again?" She asked hastly.

"There….is no cure" Celestia said with a sad tone.

"There can’t be! We can’t let Starlight become Nocturne’s servant we have to do something!" Twilight said.

"I..... am very sorry Twilight." Celestia said.

Starlight was depressed. She could not believe that she will serve Nocturne when she is fully infected. Does that mean that she will have to kill her friends because Nocturne will order her to do so or will they find a way to stop the transformation from happening?
