The only thing that they could hear was Nocturne laughing in his demonic voice. Screams could be heard. Either screams of Nocturne’s victims or the screams of the people of Equestria.

Celestia was scared. Her heart was beating fast. She felt like she lost all control and she fell down and started crying. Nocturne appeared behind her and whispered in her ear slowly.

"You betrayed me Celestia. You and everypony else, but now it is you who will suffer this time!"

With that said Nocturne stood up in two hooves and was ready to kill Celestia with his blades. Out of nowhere a magic beam hit Nocturne and knocked him back into the darkness.

"Come on sister we have to get out of here!"

Celestia gazed up on her sister and said.

"I don’t know if I can."

"Don’t worry, we will find a way, together!"

Celestia felt confident. She grabbed her sister’s hoof and was dragged up.

They started running. Celestia followed Luna, she seemed to know where she was going in this mist of darkness. They got out. To their surprise Canterlot was overruned . It was filled with creatures that they never have seen before. Some of them weren’t ponies. They were straight monstrosities. Unspeakable horrors that came out of a nightmare and they were relentlessly killing every living thing.

"What has he done? We have to do something sister. We can’t let Nocturne’s minions kill the citizens!"

"Trust me tia. If WE don’t get out of here Nocturne will win. We have to evacuate and think of a plan."

Princess Celestia felt powerless that she was not able to do the best for her subjects and she agreed to leave.

They both started running towards to the gate. They were continuously stopped by Nocturne’s minions but Luna hacked and slaced her way out for both herself and her sister. They were close to an edge and more monstrosities were coming. Luna was getting tired and she was not so effective in the fight anymore. Before they could spread they wings and fly away, huge corrupted black bats appeared and blocked their way out.

"Oh not again! I can’t keep this up forever!"

Celestia the noticed the huge waterfall of the castle. She then said.

"Luna look!"
Luna turned around and saw Celestia pointing at the watefall. She then smiled and said.

"Let's do it!"

They then immediately started running towards the waterfall. One of the bats followed them and was about to snatch Luna's neck, just in time however they reached the waterfall. Luna then backflipped and hit the bat with her sword and she along with Celestia fell down the waterfall. They wasted no time, Nocturne’s minions were close. They got out of the water and made their way to the Everfree Forest, were they got away.

They were walking in the same direction for a while, when Celestia suggested to stay here for the night. And Luna agreed. They started a fire and brought some leaves to sleep on. They both sat near the campfire and started chatting.

"I hope Twilight and the others are ok." Celestia said.

"Don’t worry about it sis. I found Twilight and her friends in the dark mist and gave them......the amulet that Nocturne gave me as a birthday gift a long time ago. It works like a tracking device that will lead them to our location. The only thing that I am worried about is how they will get out of Canterlot. I mean did you see what these creatures did?

"Yes, they came out of nowhere, they were fast, strong and they were able to take Canterlot!"

"I still can’t believe he is back. We banished him a long time ago. How did he find his way back?"

"The more important thing right now is what he wants from us and what he will do with our people."

" You are right. I just hope Princess Twilight returns here as quickly as possible."

Meanwhile at Canterlot

Twilight and her friends managed to get out of the dark mist and saw what was happening outside.

"Oh my Celestia what is going on?!" Twilight said.

"Look at what these things are doing to the poor ponies...." Fluttershy said.

"I don’t care what they are but they are gonna get beaten! Let's go AJ!"

"Let's give them something that they will remember!" Aj said with a grin.

One of the nightmarish creatures got behind Rarity and attacked her. It had a pony form but and it's body was rotting, like if it was undead. It's eyes were glowing yellow and it's jaw was filled with sharp teeth. The creature then immediately attacked Rarity. If only she didn't dogded a second ago, not only her dress would be shreded.
"MY BEAUTIFUL DRESS! YOU SAVAGES!
They others quickly helped her. Applejack kicked the creature but in no good result, she only knocked it back, the creature roared and started it's counter attack. Rainbow Dash then flied under the creature and released a powerful uppercut. The jaw of the beast fell but it wasn't dead.

"But....how?" Rainbow Dash said with a surprised tone.
Twilight then immediately used her magic and shot a ball of energy that striked the creature. Instead of dying again however, it was cut in half. It's back part was destroyed and the creature started crawling on the ground towards them. They all gasped at this terrible sight.
"What!" Twilight said.
"EW THE BLOOD IS DISGUSTING!" Rarity shouted.
"Forget about it we have orders from Princess Luna! Let's move!" Twilight said.

Twilight then pulled out the amulet and they started their escape.

They made their way at the main street, it was filled with corpses, screams and a smell of stretched blood. Some nightmares got in their way. They did their best to doge them but it wasn’t enough. Applejack was grabbed by one of the corrupted bats.

"Girls Help!" She shouted.

"Don’t worry guys I got this!" Pinkie said.

She then pulled out her party cannon out of nowhere and she shot down the nightmare that grabbed Applejack. AppleJack was falling to her doom but lucky for her Rainbow dash was there to save her.

"Thanks for saving me. I didn’t know what was going to happened to me if you didn’t help."

"Yea don’t worry, we got your back."

"Me too with my awesome party cannon!" She smiled

"But I though your party cannon wasn’t filled with cannon balls Pinkie!" Applejack said.

"Oh don’t worry about that." *squee*

They then continued. They manage to leave Canterlot and make their way to the everfree forest where the amulet was leading them.

"Everypony ok?" Twilight said.

"I am ok. Damm these things really gave me the chills!" Spike said.

"For a while I thought we were done back there!" Starlight said.

"I think we handled the situation pretty well. I mean didn't you see what i did to that thing?

They then continued following the amulet into the forest. The amulet was getting brighter and brighter with every step they made to their current direction until they finally found the princess’s camp.

The two groups noticed each other, Twilight run into Celestia and hugged her.

"I am glad you are ok" Twilight said.

She cried a bit.

"Everything is ok now. All of you are safe."

Twilight then got closer to Luna, she gave her back her amulet that she was wearing in her neck and hugged her.

"Thanks for saving us Princess Luna."

Luna hugged back and said.

"I will always be with you my friends, no matter what happens."

They then sat near the campfire and started talking to each other about the situation.

"Princesses please tell us, who is this pony?" Twilight asked.

"And how did he do the whole dark mist thing? He isn’t a unicorn!" Starlight said.

"And why is he....so deformed?" Rarity said.

"Oh come on girls it wasn’t so bad. I mean we were able to go up against two of these things on our own."

"I promise you my friends your questions will be answered. But now we must go to sleep, tomorrow we will make our way to the crystal empire and there me and Luna will explain everything.

They all agreed and went to sleep on these hoofmade beds out of leaves. But Twilight was eager to know just one thing.

"He is really is your brother, isn’t he?"

Celestia wasn’t sure what to say. But she felt that she had to say the truth.

"I am afraid that he is."

It was hard for them to believe that Princess Celestia and Luna had a brother, they felt uneasy and hoped that he would be stopped. They then closed their eyes and went to sleep.
