One Hour Later,
A Hotel Room in Igdir, Turkey

“Ow!”, shouted Rainbow Dash as Bleeding Heart touched her right wing.
“I’m sorry Ms. Dash,” apologized the nurse. “It looks like your right wing is broken. I will have a cast made for you briefly.”
“Thanks,” replied Rainbow Dash.
“Unfortunately, due to your… condition, you won’t be able to fly ever again.”
“You don’t need to sugarcoat it ma’am. My left wing got blown off!” retorted Rainbow Dash.
“Sorry.”
“Rainbow Dash turned to the young nurse, don’t apologize. I’m the one who should be sorry. Here you are trying to provide medical assistance to me and I repay you by being rude towards you.”
“It’s okay. You’ve been through a rough time. Replied the pink colored medical nurse.”
“Nurse Bleeding Heart is a lot more polite than most of the nurses at Ponyville General Hospital,” thought Rainbow Dash to herself.
Wanting to make conversation, she asked, “So… Ms. Bleeding Heart, how did you get interested in nursing.”
“It’s a funny thing really,” replied the medical pony. “From a young age I’ve always shared an interest in helping people out. After I got out of high school I decided to go onto get degree in nursing. After that I got a job in the Equestrian Army and well, badda-bing, badda-boom, I find myself here.”
“What about you,” asked the the nurse. “How did you become such a great flyer for the Wonderbolts?”
“Rainbow Dash winced at the reminder of the fact that her flying career was now over.
Nurse Bleeding Heart, realizing that she had raised a rather sensitive subject, moved to apologize. However, before she could voice her remorse, Rainbow Dash cut her off.
“I began to care about flying from an early age,” said the now flightless pegasus. “From a young age, my father would take me out to fly. Since I couldn’t fly yet, I would ride on his back as he gently glided a few feet off of the ground. Gradually, we moved to newer heights.”
“Over time I developed the ability to fly. After that I would engage the local kids in races everyday at recess. I won most of the time.”
“Eventually, I went off to Flight School. That was a week that would change my life forever. It was there that I met my best friend, Fluttershy-”
“The other member of the ‘Elements of Harmony,’” interrupted Nurse Bleeding Heart, keen to show off her knowledge about the legendary group of warrior ponies..
“Correct,” affirmed Rainbow Dash. Additionally, I meet members of the Wonderbolt after they performed for the whole flight school a a surprise for the campers on the last day.”
“That must have been amazing,” said Bleeding Heart. I’ve always wanted to perform for them, but as you can imagine that would be rather difficult for a unicorn such as myself,” she added before letting out a chuckle.
“Yeah, it really is,” said Rainbow Dash, her mood dropping as she realized that all of her dreams of flying for the Wonderbolts for the rest of her adult life would remain just that, dreams.
Not wanting to let her depressing thoughts infect the conversation, Rainbow Dash continued on, forcing a smile. “After that I became a massive Wonderbolts fangirl and anged to be member of the greatest flying squad in all of Equestria. Last year I tried out to be a member of the Wonderbolts Reserve, and well the rest as you know is history.
Their conversation was interrupted by a knocking in their hotel room. Walking over to the door, Bleeding heart inquired who it was.
“Who do you think it is,” came the groff voice of Buzz Cut.
Opening the door, Bleeding Heart let him into the room.
“Can I get an ETA on the amount of time left in this examination? I want to get the subject debriefed ASAP.”
“Patience, my friend. We were just wrapping up.”
“Good,” replied the intelligence officer mcurtly.
“Someone is a bundle of joy,” thought Rainbow Dash to herself.

Sliding herself off of the bed that she was sitting on, Rainbow Dash walked over to Bleeding Heart. “Are we done here?” she asked.
“Yes we are Ms. Dash,” replied Bleeding Heart. “ provide you with some painkillers as well as some gauze for your injuries. Other than that you are free to head on over to my counterpart’s room for debriefing.”
“Thanks, said Rainbow Dash.
Wordlessly, Buzz Cut turned and headed out into the hallway adjacent to Bleeding Heart’s room. Taking that as a cue to follow him, Rainbow Dash trotted behind him and past an astonished hotel guest who looked at her as if he had never seen a candy colored pegasus before.
“Oh wait, he probably hasn’t,” thought Rainbow Dash before chuckling at her observation. She may not have had her wings anymore, but she at least had her old sense of humor back.
