One Hour Later,

Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and their human friend, Bob, sat down in their seats behind home plate. Bob had insisted on getting these seats, as they were the best in the stadium. Him and Rainbow Dash were busy in avid conversation about the rules of baseball, the former desperate to learn all that she could before the game began. Rarity on the other hand could care less about sporting events. She instead sat silently, enjoying her popcorn and soda while engaging in people watching, her own personal favorite pastime.

Eventually, the game began. For the next three hours, Rainbow Dash and her human friend enthusiastically cheered on the Dodgers in their match against the Saint Louis Cardinals (who, to the disappointment of Rarity and Dashie, weren’t actual baseball playing birds.) Ultimately, the Dodgers prevailed 4-2, with Jackie Robinson hitting a home run in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Much to the two mare’s surprise, the fact that a human with a darker complexion was even playing in same league as the whiter humans apparently unprecedented. While bigotry between species existed in Equestria and the surrounding lands, they still couldn’t get their minds around the concept of racism. It seemed odd to them that the humans would artificially divide themselves by the color of their skin. Equestrians didn’t separate themselves from each other over the coloring of their manes, so why did humans, thought the ponies to themselves.

Nonetheless, the two of them, particularly Rainbow Dash, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, they and their new human friend had to go their separate ways, the latter having to go home to take care of his ailing mother. After they had bid their human friend goodbye, Rarity and Rainbow Dash returned back to their hotel room and prepared to go out to the fancy dinner that Dashie had promised Rarity.
