The next morning, June 23, 1948

Rainbow Dash was in the shower, enjoy the streams of warm water that slide down her backside. She had experienced a rough night of sleep on the couch.
“Just pretend that last night didn’t happen. Maybe we’ll be able to keep up our friendship intact.”
Turning off the water, Rainbow Dash proceeded to towel herself off. Opening the bathroom door, she walked back into the bedroom. Rarity was seated at the table, eating breakfast.
“Hello, there Rainbow Dash. We need to talk.”
“Hey Rarity, about last night…”
“I wanted to apologize for my behavior.”
Rainbow Dash was surprised at this sudden turnabout from her friend. “What do you mean.”
“I over reacted at your… coming out to me. I shouldn’t have been too harsh on you. While I don’t approve of your… private behavior, I fully trust and respect you as a friend and I know that you would never hurt me. I hope that we can still be friends.”
“Oh course we can still be friends,” said Rainbow Dash. “I accept your apology. I love you deeply as a friend and I want to have you at my side for the rest of my life.”
Rarity got up and wrapped her hooves around Rainbow Dash is a passionate hug.
“I promise not to tell anyone your secret Rainbow.”
“Thanks, Rarity.”
“Just one more thing,” said Rarity as she leaned in towards Dashie.
“What?”
“While you can trust me to be cosmopolitan about this, be careful whom you tell about this… orientation of yours. You could go to prison over this if the authorities got wind.”
“Trust me, I’m well aware of the risks,” replied Rainbow Dash. “You’re the only person I’ve told about this in ten years. The only other ponies who know about this are my friends who watched me kiss another girl as part of a dare at a slumber party.”
“Just be careful,” said Rarity. “I wouldn’t want any harm to befall a friend of mine. You’re a beautiful mare and I’m sure that you’ll find someone who’ll love you deeply.”
“That’s so sweet of you,” said Dashie as she embraced her unicorn friend.
“Let’s get ready to go. We’ve got a city to explore.”
