Act 1:First Contact

Myasnik opens his eyes, his vision a bit blurry when he does so He blinks them a few times until they clear up. The first thing he saw was a wooden ceiling, and he felt the warmth of a fire at his side. He slowly sits up and noticed also that he was laying on the ground in a bed made up entirely of blankets and a large one over his body. He slowly sits up and removes the blanket from his body. He was about to get up when he heard a light humming coming from the next room. The voice was soft as silk and it was absolutely beautiful. Whoever it was that brought him here, she must be a beautiful woman, especially with that voice. He then heard her moving around, a smell caught his nostrils. It smelled of...hot chocolate! Oh man, after the day he has had, a nice cup of that’d definitely make him feel better.

He pushes the blanket off his body and slowly stands up. He was definitely feeling a bit sore, though. The humming stopped as he started moving around. The voice spoke to him, and it was just so sweet and gentle.

“Ah, you are awake now? Please, make yourself comfortable. I will have hot chocolate here for you in a moment.”

He makes his way over to the couch and nods, looking around the room he was in. It was filled with bird houses and various other small animal dwellings. She must be into taking care of animals. That is pretty cool.

“Thank you for bringing me here. It was very kind of you to do so, ma’am.”

He said as he tried to lean in and get a good look at who she was, but it was so dimly lit that he couldn’t.

“Oh, it’s alright. I could just let a colt like you perish out in the snow! I saw this bright light off in the distance. So I wandered out to see what was going on and I saw you. You didn’t even have a proper jacket on! It would have been cruel of me to let you freeze…”

She sounded genuinely concerned for a complete stranger. His faith in humanity was restored...only slightly. Wait….’colt’? What did she mean by that?

    “Alright, it’s ready!”

She said in a cheery tone. She began to make her way towards him with a tray in her hands. Once she came into the light however, Myasnik eyes widened slightly. There before him stood a tall curvy yellow pegasus mare with beautiful blue cyan eyes and a pink mane and tail. His thoughts on the situation certain wasn’t that of a normal kid.

Hmmm...beautiful busty equine humanoid creature that speaks english AND is serving me hot chocolate? This is either a dream that I do NOT wanna wake up from, or the portal that took out the building swallowed me up before hand and now I am here. Hopefully it is the latter…

He thought to himself before looking back to the mare, who looked at him with concerns, setting the tray on the table in front of the couch.

“Are you alright? You seem like something is bothering you…”

“Oh you know, just trying to figure out of this is a dream or not. I mean, here I am in the presence of an equine that has anthromorphic traits. Just makes me wonder if I really was brought to a new world or if I am just having a sweet dream is all…”

She giggles lightly and shakes her head, going around the small table to sit on the other side of him. She takes up her cup of hot chocolate and shakes her head.

“Oh no, you are very much awake..well now you are anyways.”

She said before taking a sip of the sweet liquid. Myasnik picks up the other cup and looks down at it, it had whipped cream and chocolate chips on top of it. He brought it to his lips and took a light sip of it, he lets out a small gasp of surprise as his eyes widen slightly again.

“Wow...it’s really good! I haven’t had hot chocolate like this in a while!”

The mare smiles happily, glad he liked what she had made.

“I am glad! Forgive me for being curious but...what are you? You are definitely not like any being I have seen...only if you feel like answering that is.”

He lowers his cup back onto the table and leans back against the couch, looking up at the ceiling with a sigh.

“Well, I feel I should ask you the same thing. I mean, I can tell you are of equine origin, but you walk on two legs instead of four, and you are most certainly more adorable looking than what a horse looks like back in my world. But to answer your question, I am a human...just an average junior high school student. I also get the feeling that I should be a bit more worried about where I am...but for some reason, I am just as calm as ever.”

When he turns his head to look at her, the mare gets a shudder up her spine. That natural glare of his made her fur stand on end, and she hide her face behind her mane.

“I-I can understand that you might be a little upset though, you look a little angry…”

He blinks a few times and laughs lightly. He waves his hand, shaking his head.

“Oh no no, I am not mad. This is how my face normally looks. I have always had a look like I was going to go psycho and kill someone. I get it from my old man. Good ol genetics.”

He said as he just casually talked about his parents. It kind of frightened the mare a bit as he said that so...casually. Then he thought about his mother. He was a little sad about that.

“Hmmm...mom’s not gonna be too happy when she finds out I am not coming home…”

The mare could sense that he was indeed worried about how he would return to his mother. She scoots closer to him and lightly places and arm around him, running her hand up and down his arm comfortingly.

“I am sorry...I know it is hard for one as young as you are to be separated from your family. But who knows, maybe you will get to return one day..hopefully.”

He shakes his head, picking up the glass and stares into it.

“It’s not so much myself I am worried about. I worry about my mother. After dad died, it took a very heavy emotional toll on her. And it was difficult on both of us…”

He shakes his head and laughs lightly.

“But I am sure you don’t really wanna hear about all that. My name is Myasnik. What is yours?”

“Oh..I am Fluttershy, I am a pegasus. It's nice to finally know your name.”

“Fluttershy huh? That is a rather adorable name, it suits you well. And a pegasus? That’s pretty nifty.”

She blushes a bit and smiles looking away slightly.

“O-oh..thank you. That is very sweet of you to say. By the way, you said you were in junior high? How old are you, if you don’t mind my asking?”

“Oh, I am fifteen. For more months till I turn sixteen.”

“Oh my, you are younger than I thought you were. Your facial features lead me to believe you were about eighteen.”

“Yeah, I get that a lot. Ah, I meant to ask you. The items I had with me. You wouldn’t happen to know where they are, do you?”

“Those heavy metal objects? They are in the kitchen on the table. I laid them out on a couple of towels so they could dry off from the snow.”

“Ah, good. Those things are very important to me...especially here in this new world.”

He said as he got up from the couch and made his way into the kitchen. Fluttershy got up and followed him and peeked from behind the corner as she watched him pick up the smaller but thicker item and look it over. The sound of a heavy ‘click-click’ was heard when he moved a part of it up and down just above the barrel. For some reason, watching him handle these items put her on edge. The way he stared at these metallic things made her concerned for him, though. After he made sure the shotgun was set on safety, he sets it down and takes up the longer one. He looks through the scope on the top of it and tinkers with it a bit, making sure none of the optics was damaged. After watching him for a while she comes in and watches from over his shoulder.

“Um...what are these things…? I don’t know why but I feel like they are quite dangerous, especially to someone as young as you are.”

He did not answer for a moment, but once he sat the sniper rifle down, he gave her a serious glance.

“For the sake of your safety. I cannot tell you, Fluttershy. All I ask is that you do not touch them when I am not around. I am grateful you brought them here for me. The last thing I need however, is for you to get hurt in an accident.”

His tone was serious. Earlier when he was speaking with her, he had a bit of a lighthearted tone in his voice. But when he spoke with her just now, it made her shake slightly. His accent sounded so….it reminded her of the ponies who lived up in Northern Equestria. Those tough, rugged warrior types. He then turns to look up at her, his eyes meeting hers.

“In all seriousness, I am sure you aren’t the only one who know of my existence here. Something tells me that I will need to leave here soon and go into hiding. So tomorrow morning, I will be leaving. Hopefully, this blizzard will have died down.”

He said before he made his way back to the living room and heads back to his place of sleep in front of the fireplace. Fluttershy, however did not like the idea of him leaving. They way he spoke to about himself and about the items in question only made her concerns skyrocket. She lightly took hold of his wrist as he walked passed, the pegasus mare looking at him with worried eyes and a sad frown.

“You don’t have to leave you know. I won’t mind having you stay with me…”

“That’s very sweet of you to offer,  Ms. Fluttershy. And once again, I am grateful for you letting me stay. But I have been military-trained to survive on my own. Besides, I will come and visit again. I promise.”

Fluttershy looked down at him and closed her eyes, she couldn’t in good faith let him go, but at the same time, she couldn’t do anything about it. As he wasn’t her son. She nodded hesitantly.

-The Next Morning-

Myasnik got up and folded all the blankets that he slept on the night before, not wanting to leave a mess for her to pick up. As he moves around, he wakes up Fluttershy. She makes her way downstairs and sees him getting ready to go. He was standing in the kitchen, slinging his guns on his shoulder as he heard her coming in.

    “Myasnik? It’s still early…”

She said sleepily, rubbing her eyes.

“You aren’t going to stay for breakfast…?”

He shakes his head with a light smile. He approaches her and looks up in her eyes.

“Maybe another time. Thank you for the hot chocolate. It was very delicious. And…”

He suddenly wraps his arms around her in a hug, nuzzling into her when he did so.

“Thank you for making sure I did not freeze to death. I owe you big time Ms. Fluttershy..”

Fluttershy was on the verge of tears. What was he going to do? Where would he go? She hugged him tightly, not wanting to let him go, but she knew she couldn’t stop him. Then she had an idea, she wanted him to at least stay warm.

“Let me give you something before you go…”

She quickly walks to a closet and pulls out a light gray cloak with a deep hood. She walks back over and drapes it around his shoulders, snapping the clip on to secure it nicely. He looks up at her and smiles again.

“Thank you. I am sure it will keep me nice and warm.”

She nodded to him and gave him one more hug.

“Please be safe, Myasnik...should you ever need anything, I will be here.”

“Thank you Ms. Fluttershy. I hope to return soon and have some more of your hot chocolate. I truly was delicious.”

By this time, Myasnik was out the door and on his way. Fluttershy watched him disappear over the snowy bank, a frown on her face and sadness within her eyes. Her pet bunny Angel coming to her to offer her comfort. Myasnik walked through the falling snow, the cloak was helping immensely, thankfully. He made his way to the edge of a forest. Knowing that there was plenty to survive on in there. He nodded and started walking into it. Half way in however, a large golden light appeared in front of him and a much taller pony appeared out of it, one with a flowing mane that had a full spectrum of colors, the same with her tail. She was like an amazonian compared to him, and the clothing she wore was definitely of royalty.

“So, you are the one who came from that disturbance. Quite a predicament you are in, wouldn’t you say?”

Myasnik stood his ground. Though clearly by looking at her and her clothing and regalia, she was the ruler of this land. He reaches into his pocket and makes sure he has his butterfly knife ready to be pulled out.

What was going to go down here?
