Chapter 1

Flurry Heart as Sora. Shining Armor as Riku. Princess Cadence as Kairi.

A pink Alicorn stood on a glowing platform, momentarily blinded by the light. Her mane and tail was a magenta color, with a sky blue stripe running down the middle of both. In history, there were only some Alicorns, with the only ones present watching over their kingdoms and subjects. She's not a ruler. Heck, she's just a child, a minor, and compared to the others, she's as insignificant as that of an ant. At least, now, unlike her baby self, which had uncontrollable magic and power that almost destroyed her parent's kingdom.

She is Flurry Heart, daughter of Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor, and Equestria’s first natural born Alicorn. Many years have passed since her birth, and many more will come to her, perhaps even more than she would expect. For all her life, the Crystal Empire was her home, and from what she knew, it was her world. Only her parents knew of the other lands, but feared for Flurry's life, as many would like a pretty bit if they had her… or worse. She could only dream of exploring past her home area; only her family and close friends came to her, much to her pleasure, and annoyance. But, unbeknownst to everyone, everything was going to change, for the better, and the worst.

Flurry's blue eyes adjusted to the green and yellow lights below her. Right under her, it looked like she was standing on what could be described as stain glass, like the windows around the castle. The glass had an imprint of a female human, a creature her Aunt Twilie told her about, wearing a yellow dress. All around the woman was green, with flowers, and seven, goofy looking men, all with different looks and expressions. Besides what she was standing on, everywhere else was complete darkness. No one was around, as far as she could tell.

“H-hello?” She squeaked, looking around her surroundings.

“... So much to do, so little time…” A booming, yet silent whisper spoke, giving Flurry the chills. “Take your time. Don't be afraid.” A beam of light came down to the middle. “The door is still shut. Now step forward.”

“... I must be in a dream.” She took her first steps to the middle of the glass platform. As she did, three more lights came down with some alters rising. The voice continued. As the first showed a black shield with a red outline and a matching color, minimal mouse-like head (At least, to her, with two circles on top of a larger circle.)

“Power sleeps within you.” The second alter showed what looked like a green staff with yellow ends, and the same, minimal mouse head as the shape of the blue crystal on top of it. “If you give it form…” The final showed a sword with a blue handle with golden ends, and, again, the same mouse head, only it's on the side and is very small. “It will give you strength. Choose well.”

“Ch-Choose one of these?” Flurry looked at the three altars. She turned to the staff. While she may have not been with her other relatives, her Aunt Twilight helped made her look more into magic and read during her off times. The child wasn't much of an egg head as her aunt, and would still like to have fun as the next kid, but she wanted more knowledge about magic, and perhaps be as strong as she once was… without the destruction, of course. A couple of steps was only needed as she took the staff into her hooves.

“The power of the mystic. Inner strength. A staff of wonder and ruin. Is this what you seek?”

“Um… yes?” And just like that, the staff quickly glowed and poofed away, twinkling away like stars.

“Your path is set. Now, what will you give up in exchange?”

“Like… give up?” She looked at the shield and sword. “Hmm… if I have to give something up, then I should be able to use the other as a weapon… I'm keeping the shield.” She trotted over to the sword and picked it up.

“The power of the warrior. Invincible Courage. A sword of terrible destruction. You give up this power?”

Vague memories returned to Flurry. She may have been a baby, and she didn't know at the time, but if her family hadn't reacted quickly, she would've been responsible for many lost lives. Destruction was going to be her legacy. It was obvious on what she wanted to do.

“Yes.” She answered begrudgingly, but to herself. Like the staff, the sword disappeared very similar to the staff.

“Very interesting. You chose the path of the mystic. You gave up the path of the warrior.”

“What is this even about?”

“You will understand later.” The floor shook. Flurry stepped back as the alters began to slant, sinking into the glass floor. As the material she stood on, the floor shattered into a million piece.

“LUUNNAAAAA-!!!” She screamed, falling into the abyss.

While Alicorns, and by that, the 4 princesses, can fly, Flurry wasn't exactly great with it. The Crystalling, which was also the day she almost destroyed the crystal empire, not only took her powerful magic away, but also, albeit, slowly took her flying away. She has been training to fly, but all she could really do is jump relatively high. Gliding is part of her own training.

A beacon of light glowed beneath Flurry. The sudden drop stopped her from falling, and instead, gently dropped her to the next stain glass platform, this one with a different human, wearing a pale blue dress, and having some different looking pony silhouettes and a pumpkin chariot. Flurry sighed in relief. The staff appeared on her right hoof.

“You have gained the power to fight.” The voice spoke.

“F-fight?” Flurry asked.

“Give it a swing.”

“Um… okay…” With her other hoof, she gripped the staff and swung it like a sword.

“All right! You've got it! Use the power to protect yourself and others.”

“What do you mean?” Small shadows appeared on the floor.

“There will be times you have to fight.” The shadows emerged from the ground, revealing some small, imp like, pure black creatures with glowing yellow eyes, all moving in rapid, unfocused ways. They were all around Flurry's height. “Keep your light burning strong.” One of them pounced at her.

“EEP!!!” She swung the staff at the creature. It evaporated into a shadow cloud, but a small heart flew up into the sky. The others sunk into the floor and disappeared. Flurry walked around, holding the staff meekly, nearly hugging it. “W-What was that thing!?”

“BEHIND YOU!!!”

“Gah!” She turned around and whacked the creature on it's head, making it disappear into a dark cloud with a heart floating away. Flurry saw more appearing. “Go away!” She smacked them all across their heads. The others sunk into the floor and began to spread all over the floor, covering the light below. Darkness spread to her, and she sunk into it like quicksand. “No! Someone! HELP!!!” No one came as she was engulfed by the darkness.

She could only squirm around in the abyss. Luckily for her, she was on another stain glass. She hopped up, seeing a near invisible door.

“I gotta get outta here!” Flurry sprinted to the door… only to pass through it. “What the-!? Ugh! Stupid door!” Another beacon of light came from behind. Turning, Flurry saw a fairly Large, red chest with golden outlines. She walked to the chest, unsure how it got here, what's in it, or even how to open it.

“Uh… Open sesame?” Nothing happened. She took the staff out and poked the chest. It opened. Nothing. She pouted.

“Not cool.” Her attention was caught to a crate that appeared behind her. “Hmm… something underneath it, perhaps?” She went to the large crate and pushed it. Nothing. She was getting angry. “Seriously!?” She pulled the staff out and smashed the crate. A potion fell out. “Ooh! Sweet!” The door became less invisible and more solid. A barrel appeared next to the door. “SMASH THE BARREL!!!” She smashed the barrel. The door became solid looking. “Freedom!” She ran to the door. The door opened upon her presence, revealing a bright light. She shielded her eyes from the light, but slowly approached the opened door.

The place had changed again, but now, Flurry found herself on the roof of the crystal empire’s castle, where the Crystal Heart was kept after King Sombra’s banishment. Waiting around her were her friends, the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Applebloom, the yellow earth pony filly with the red mane and tail, decorated with a pink bow, stood in a corner. Sweetie Belle, the white unicorn filly with a poofy, pink and magenta mane and tail, sat near the rails. Scootaloo, the orange pegasus filly with a purple mane and tail, stood at the exit with her scooter.

“Hold on.” The voice from earlier spoke. “The door won’t open just yet.”

“What door?” Flurry asked.

“Please, tell me more about yourself.”

“... With my friends? Um… okay… as long as they don’t turn into those monsters.” She looked around, wondering who to talk first. Applebloom was her first. Flurry walked to the earth pony.

“What are ya’ll afraid of?” Applebloom asked in her noticeable Western accent. Those monsters would’ve been Flurry’s choice, but something told her that they weren’t going to be around very much, only in this weird dream she’s having. But she didn’t want to straight up lie about it; if this was a dream, she’ll be as truthful as possible.

“Being different.” She answered. “I may be an alicorn, but I don’t want to be viewed as the destructor of my subjects… nor some powerful deity that demands worshipping. I just want to be like everypony else.”

“Hm… Ah can understand that.” Flurry felt a bit better. It helped took some weight off of her, weight that she hadn’t noticed until now. She walked over to Sweetie Belle.

“What’s important to you?” Sweetie asked in her squeaky voice.

“This is easy! Friendship, of course! … At least… with your real self and not dream self… no offense.”

“None taken!” Flurry chuckled a bit and walked over to Scootaloo.

“What do you want out of life?” Scootaloo asked.

“Well… I would like to see the world… but I also want to learn magic… oh! I want to be strong! And not just physically, but with my magic, and my wings!”

“True that! I want to be like Rainbow Dash as well!”

“You’re afraid of being different,” The voice repeated. “you want friendship, and you want to be strong. Your adventure begins at midday. Keep a steady pace and you’ll come through fine.”

“Aww, why thank you.” Flurry blushed, feeling rather encouraged.

“The day you will open the door is both far off and very near.” Another bright light came, taking away everything.

Flurry found herself back on the stain glass platform, with another human on it, this one, wearing a purple dress, holding a rose to her chest, and had three, magical looking human silhouettes over her. All around her was sharp, thorn covered branches. Flurry Heart sighed in annoyance.

“And I was beginning to like you.” She grumbled as she walked across. Her ears twitched and she stopped. Popping up from the floors was more of the strange creatures she fought earlier, and they all surrounded the filly. Flurry pulled the staff out. “Why are you all after me!?” After swinging around wildly, finding out three hits defeated these creatures, everything went silent. She took a deep breath, wiping away some sweat that came from her forehead. Another beacon of light came down and went to the edge. Smaller, but still large platforms came, making what looked like stairs to another platform. “A way out!?” Flurry ran along the magical stairs, stepping onto another platform with another human, this one wearing a golden-yellow dress and had silhouettes of what looked like objects. She stood in the middle of another beacon of light, hoping it was a way out.

“The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes.” The voice spoke.

“My… shadow?” She looked behind, seeing her shadow. It stopped in place and, with what was her two front legs, pushed itself up from the ground.  Flurry backed up as her shadow walked to her, steadily growing in size, and changing shape. “W-What!? Th-This is… this is-!”

“But don’t be afraid.” Her shadow had changed from just her to a gigantic, minotaur looking monster that stood on it’s hind legs, entire chest is missing with a heart shaped hole in it, and face was covered in tentacles, revealing only its glowing yellow eyes. “And don’t forget…”

“NO!!!” Flurry turned and ran away, only to stop herself from falling into the abyss. She turned back to the monster that was her shadow. “Oh no.” She pulled the staff out. “Uh… please… go gentle with me?” It didn’t acknowledge her. Instead, the shadow monster’s right hand glowed a purple-black orb and slammed it to her. She reacted quickly and jumped out of the way. The orb cracked, making a portal in the floor, bringing in more of the smaller creatures she fought earlier. “You have got to be kidding me!” Flurry ran to the hand on the floor and smacked it. The creature let out a moan, almost as if it was painful. She continued to whack it, along with the additional shadow creature, until it stood up. The staff went away. “No! Come back!” She looked up at the monster. “EEP!!!” She jumped out of the way as it’s fist came down at her. The other fist didn’t try to hit her, rather, it landed next to it’s other hand. Flurry caught herself in a staredown between herself and the shadow monster, unknowingly in it’s black portal.

“- But don’t be afraid.” The black portal began to spread to Flurry Heart. “You hold the mightiest weapon of all.” Flurry looked and saw the darkness taking her in.

“N-no! MOM! DAD! HELP!!!”

“So don’t forget:” The darkness covered her eyes and muffled her screams. “You are the one who will open the door.”

The sound of chirpings were heard, followed by the various citizens outside, doing their business. A bright light came as Flurry Heart opened her eyes, to which her eyes steadily adjusted to it. Celestia's sun, as well as the bright, blue sky, decorated with fluffy clouds, were in clear view, followed by the hanging branches and leaves of a tree. Her eyes looked down to her tummy; A guide to spells laid open, flat. Perhaps the reading of the book made her tired and that's why she slept. A yawn came out of Flurry as she went back to her resting position. When her back laid on the floor, Flurry was meet with a familiar pink face with a long mane and with a long yellow, magenta, and purple mane, wearing a golden crown and necklace. She was an Alicorn, like Flurry.

“Gah!!!” Flurry screamed, jumping into a standing position. “Mom! Don't sneak up on me like that!” Her mother giggled.

“I knew I'd find you here, Flurry. Trying to study hard, only to fall asleep again, I see?”

“No! Mom! There was this huge black thing that I fought! It swallowed me up; I couldn't breath, and I couldn't-!”

“Sounds like you've been reading one too many books about Sombra.”

“I didn't read about the tyrant king, mom! And it wasn't a dream.”

“And what makes you say that?”

“It felt real… or… maybe… I dunno.” She stretched her legs and wings. “What was that place? It was… bizarre.”

“I'm sure it's nothing.” her mother gently pushed her forward. Flurry Heart grabbed the book and placed it in a satchel next to her.

“Hey, mom. Are we really going to Canterlot tomorrow? Or is this a visit to the dentist again?”

“Your next appointment isn't until two months, Flurry. So, yes, we, as a family, are going to Canterlot.”

“Yes! Finally! Out of the castle!”

“But you have to be on your best behavior, Flurry Heart; we have to show respect to the other visiting kingdoms and their cultures.”

“Oh… right, sorry.” She blushed. “... Mom?”

“Yes?”

“What's it like over there? Is it like anything like our home?”

“It's a bit like here, but different in it's own way. Of course, it's older, so be mindful of your surroundings.”

“Gotcha… would you like to go back sometime?”

“Perhaps as a visit and not for a royal summit. That, and along with the other kingdoms.”

“I'd like to see the other kingdoms as well! Perhaps even the strange worlds, like Aunt Twilight.”

“I don't know about that one.”

“Hey!” A stallion spoke. He was white all over with a striped blue and dark blue mane and tail. Unlike them, he was a Unicorn, indicated by only a horn and no wings. His horn glowed a blue aura as he had a couple of floating luggage in the same glowing aura. “What are the two most important women of my life doing? I guess I'm the only one looking over the luggage, then?” He lowered the luggage and nuzzled Flurry's mom. “And you're just as lazy as she is.”

“I was napping, dad.” Flurry fake pouted, crossing her hooves and looking away, but still smiled.

“Sorry about that, Shining,” Flurry's mom replied with another giggle. “It's hard to do two jobs when one of them gets up and naps away somewhere else.” She turned to Flurry Heart. The filly just rolled her eyes with a smile, accepting the jab thrown at her.

“Well, are you going to help, or do I have to do everything myself?” He asked.

“Oh, I can help. Can you help, Flurry?” Flurry got up and lifted one of the case's handles with her mouth.

“Vey A-he o’ hoo.” She muffled, walking to the door to get to the main doors. Both her mom and dad's horns glowed as they picked up the rest of the luggage, evenly splitting them up and following their daughter.

It took the three of them some time in order for them to get their luggage all together and board the train for Canterlot. Yet, on the train ride over, the only thing that Flurry could think about was what she had seen in her dream just now. What did they mean about this… light she had or this door she had to open? What were those things she saw? Was it just a dream?

And what kind of power was asleep within her? Her mother saw her looking rather puzzled by something.

“Is there something wrong, sweetie?” She asked.

The young alicorn looked up at her mother, seeing that she was calling to her and shook her head. “N-no, nothing. Nothing at all… Just… thinking…” She said, hoping for her mother to drop the subject and not press further.

“Is it about that dream you had? I can ask Luna for help, if it'll make you feel better.”

She thought about it for a moment. Could Luna be able to help with something like this? It was… possible to say the least, but she could be busy with other duties for being the Princess of the Night. “Would she have the time for it? I mean… she is in charge of night court and helps Aunt Celestia-”

“I am sure she will be available to help. She may be more used to the night, but she will take time out of her sleep to help anypony in need.” Despite her mother's words, it did little to help ease Flurry’s worries. Something about this didn’t feel quite right to her… there was something there that did not make any sense at all.

It continued to linger a little in the back of her mind the closer that the train was approaching Canterlot. The train station itself looked rather busy today, even if all the delegates that her parents were suppose to be meeting were coming tomorrow. As they got off the train though and began to get their bags, Flurry heard a rather… familiar voice.

“Oh my… I didn’t expect for you to come over to Canterlot so soon, Cadence.” When Flurry turned around, right behind here was Princess Celestia herself. Or as she knew her as, Aunt Celestia. She was standing nearby with a few other ponies that were wearing formal clothes as they proceeded to assist them with carrying their luggage while Flurry herself went up to give her Aunt a big and warm hug.

“Aunt Tia!” Flurry squealed. Celestia smiled, hugging the filly with a forehoof and holding her close.

“It’s good to see you again, dear Flurry,” Celestia spoke in a mother like tone before chuckling a bit. “You aren’t giving your parents too much difficulty now, are you?”

“She's given us plenty of trouble,” Her father joked, only to get himself hit in the shoulder by his wife’s forehoof. “But she's still a blessing, even after all these years.”

“It's her first time out of the Crystal Empire,” Cadence added. “But, she's going to be on her best behavior. Am I right?”

“Mom, I know what I'm doing.” Flurry answered with some annoyance in her voice.

“I rest assure you,” Celestia replied. “I am certain that there is nothing that your daughter can do that will spell ‘Doom’, Cadence.”

“I hope not.” Flurry's mother replied. “And may I have a private word with your sister, please?”

“Of course,” she gently nudged Flurry Heart to the entrance. “Do make yourself at home. If you're lost, find any of the staff members; they will lead you around.”

“Thanks, Aunt.” Flurry gave Celestia a quick hug before sprinting away. The first thing that was on her mind that she needed to find was a bathroom. She did drink a lot of water on the train ride to Canterlot and, out of sheer stubbornness, refused to use the restroom that was on the train. “Oh dear… where's the filly’s room?”, She ran ahead, looking for a Restroom. “Mane, I hate it when I get lost…”

In another world, a grand castle, with an equally great kingdom, stood on the grassy fields below. The castle itself was white all over with golden rims, and each roof was blue with a yellow flag on the tip. It's hallways were large, almost gigantic even, compared to the size of it's rulers and staff… or lack thereof. Instead of the worker, most of the staff were made up of brooms, each looking identical to the last, all with two arms poking out of the sides and using the thistles at the end as feet. But, not everyone was a walking Broom.

One of the staff members, wearing a royal blue robe and matching, pointed hat, was… a duck. Yes, a duck. The duck strolled across the hallway, not minding the brooms working, but was on his way to meet the creator of this castle, and the kingdom. The king. He stopped at the two large doors, both looking like they'll need a lot of force to push.

The duck cleared his throat before giving the right door a secret knock. A smaller door opened, this one, more of his size. He waddled in, following the red carpet that lead to the throne.

“Good morning, your majesty.” He quacked as if he were meeting an old friend. “It's good to see you this morn-” Instead of the king sitting on his throne, there was no one, nothing but an empty throne. “WHAT!?” Popping out from behind the throne was the king’s dog; an orange-yellow blood hound with black ears and a tail, and wearing a green collar that read ‘Pluto’. In the dog's mouth was a letter that had the king's seal on it; a minimalist mouse head. It gave the letter to the duck, who opened and read it to himself. He screamed his head off and ran out of the throne.

The duck ran out to the castle’s garden, where another dog, wearing what could only be described as a knight's armor, snored away. He stopped at the snoring dog.

“Wake up, Goofy, wake up! This is serious!” The dog continued to snore away. The duck pointed a feathery finger to the sky, where a small lightning bolt came down and struck Goofy in the butt, effectively waking him up. He scratched his eyes, turning to the duck.

“Hey there, Donald, G’morning!” He greeted.

“We've got a problem, Goofy! But don't tell anyone.”

“Queen Minnie?”

“Not even the queen.”

“Daisy?”

“No! It's top secret!”

“G’morning, ladies!”

“... What?” Donald turned around to see Queen Minnie and Daisy were right behind him. Minnie was a mouse, wearing a Tiara on her head, and wearing a pink dress. Daisy was also a duck, who also wore a Tiara, but had on a purple dress. They both gave Donald some dagger filled stares. All he did was nervously laugh.

Flurry couldn't hold on to it. She wanted to ask Somepony where the nearest Restroom was, but no one was around. She didn't want to embarrass herself, nor make a mess, so she ran to what was the castle’s gardens. A mess in there could be placed on some of the animals around. But much to her luck, there were several gardeners outside.

“Oh for the love of-!” She yelled but stopped as she saw that she was next to a cave. It looked eerie, a far cry from the rest of the castle “... well, it's better than getting caught.” She entered the cave and did her business.

“Alright, time to check the cave.” A voice of one of the gardeners spoke. Flurry went pale; there was no way she was going to clear this in time, not without getting dirty. She looked back, seeing the abyss of the cave. A nervous gulp came from her.

“It's this, or major embarrassment.” She entered the cave. The darkness of the cave made her afraid of what may be lurking in there; deep holes where she may fall, a collapse happening at any moment, or, the one that made her shiver, monsters. However, a dim light shined through. Flurry followed it, mostly out of curiosity, but to escape from the darkness, and embarrassment. With a push, Flurry found herself in what looked like a clubhouse of some sort; several drawings were on the wall, most she couldn't tell what they were, and at the end was a shut door, without a handle, and had the dim light behind it. Curiousity got the best of her, and she walked to the door, but stopped at one of carvings on the walls; it looked like a younger version of both her mom and aunt Twilight.

“... Huh, this must've been their club.” Flurry thought out loud. She couldn't help but smile as she imagined her mom and aunt carving in themselves with some rocks. Looking down, she saw a rock, looking like it was used to be the carving tool. “Hm… I think it needs an update.” She sat on her hind legs, picked up the rock, and began to carve herself.

Some time had passed, but it wasn't relative to Flurry, as she added the final touches. It was still her mom and aunt, and not only did she add herself, but also her dad, Aunt Celestia, and Aunt Luna. A sense of pride came to her, making her smile. However, her ears twitched as she heard someone approaching.

“Wha- Who's there!?” She asked, turning around. In the corner, shrouded in a brown cloak, was a figure, standing about as tall as Celestia, but stood like a Minotaur.

“... I've come to see the door to this world.” He answered in an old, but somewhat familiar voice.

“... Huh?” She tilted her head.

“This world has been connected.”

“Uh… wh-what are you talking about?”

“Tied to the darkness. Soon to be eclipsed.”

“Hey! My Aunt Celestia controls the sun! And my Aunt Luna isn't evil anymore! So, whoever you are, stop freaking me out! And where the hay did you come from?”

“... You do not know what lies beyond the door.”

“Of course I don't! What are you from? Another world, or what?”

“... There is very much to learn. You understand so little.”

“Hey! I'm learning a whole lot! I'm gonna learn everything there is to know!”

“A meaningless effort. One who knows nothing can understand nothing.”

“Are you saying I'm stupid!? I oughta-” He was gone. No trace of the hooded figure was around. “... What the-?”

“Flurry? Is that you down there?” She then heard from behind her, turning around to see her aunt, Twilight Sparkle, trotting over to where she was. “What the hay are you doing down in one of the old Canterlot Dungeons?”

“Oh… uh… well, there's this door, here, and this hooded figure, and-” She turned to see the door was gone, only a cave that lead even deeper. “What!? Where did it go!?”

“I’m starting to think you wanted to find something and got lost in the process,” Twilight sighed before looking back at her one more time. “Come with me, I’ll bring you back up to the surface.”

“... Ok…” Flurry followed her aunt before thinking to herself. ‘What were those things? Are they connected to that dream?... Or am I going crazy!?’

The afternoon had arrived to Canterlot, just moments before nighttime. Flurry Heart watched the sunset, leaning on the balcony to her room. Cadence walked over and stood next to her.

“How was Canterlot?” She asked.

“... It's pretty.” Flurry answered.

“Pretty?... I guess it is.” They both watched the sunset for a bit. “I had a talk with Luna, about your dream.” Flurry nervously swallowed.

“What did she say?”

“She said it was nothing.”

“... Nothing?”

“Nothing. You were just having a bad dream is all.”

Flurry shook her head for a moment as she looked back at Cadence in disbelief. “It didn’t feel like nothing.”

“Some dreams feel more realistic than others. That's what Luna said.” She leaned forward and gave Flurry a kiss to the forehead. “Come, tomorrow's a big day, not just for us, but for every kingdom in Equestria.” She stood up and walked inside. The sun was now gone, and up came the moon. Flurry yawned and got up.

“I'm coming.”

Donald,

Sorry to rush off without sayin’ goodbye, but there's big trouble brewin’.

Not sure why, but the stars have been blinkin’ out one by one. And that means disaster can't be far behind. I hate to leave you all but I've gotta go and check into it.

There's someone with a “Key”- the key to our survival. So I need you and Goofy to find them and stick with them. Okay?

We need that key or we're all doomed! So go to Traverse Town and find Leon. He'll point you in the right direction.

P.S.

Would ya apologize to Minnie for me? Thanks, pal.

Pluto napped away in his bed in the library. It wasn't as big as the rest of the castle, but it was as clean as the rest with floors that showed everyone's reflection. Donald, Goofy, Minnie, and Daisy all stood around, contemplating on the situation.

“Oh dear,” Daisy spoke after reading the letter. “What does this mean?”

“It means we'll just have to trust the king.” Minnie answered, sounding a bit nervous.

“Gawrsh, I sure hope he's alright.” Goofy added.

“Your highness,” Donald spoke with a salute. “don't worry, we'll find the king and this ‘key’.”

“Thank you, both of you.” Minnie replied with some relief.

“Daisy, can you take care of-?”

“Of course,” Daisy interrupted. “you be careful now, both of you.”

“Oh! And to chronicle your travels,” Minnie added, gesturing to the table. “He will accompany you.” Donald looked confused, up until a small figure began to bounce in place.

“Over here!” A charming and kind natured voice spoke. The figure was a cricket wearing a fancy suit and top hat. “Cricket’s the name. Jiminey Cricket, at your service.”

“We hope for your safe return. Please, help the king.” Donald saluted in response. Goofy saluted back… while standing next to the ladies.

“You're coming too!” Donald quacked, grabbing Goofy and dragging him, along with Jiminey.

Donald and Goofy walked down a fleet of stairs that lead to the ship hangar, all right below the castle’s gardens.

“Gawrsh, Jiminey,” Goofy spoke, having a chat with the cricket on his head. “Your world disappeared too?”

“It was terrible!” Jiminey answered. “We were all scattered! And as far as I can see, I'm the only one who made it to this castle.”

“Goofy?” Donald asked.

“Oh, right!” Goofy replied. “I gotcha. While we're in other worlds, we can't let on where we're from. We've gotta protect the world border!”

“”Order"."

“Right. World order.” Donald only sighed as they went down a long hallway to the hangar. “I guess we'll need new duds when we get there, huh?”

The hangar was loud and constantly moving: gears worked simultaneously to keep the hangar working. In the middle of the room was a red ship with yellow wings to the side. Donald and Goofy walked into the hanger. The duck spoke into a one way megaphone to the hangar’s engineers; a pair of chipmunks, one with a black nose and a single tooth showing and the other with a red nose and two teeth showing.

“Hello up there?” Donald began. “Donald Duck to launch crew! Anytime you're ready.” The black nosed chipmunk saluted while the other ran across and pulled a lever. Loud hissing came from the machines as two gloves picked up the two individuals as daintly as possible, dropping them into the ship. Pluto ran down and jumped across the gap between the ship and platform, landing in the ship. A hole opened for the ship. Minnie and Daisy watched. They were meet by Donald giving them a thumbs up, followed by him pointing to the open front.
