What is it with me and rack jokes?
I should stop.
And I'd like to apologize for this being a bit late
.
And the ending with Sour might be a bit convoluted, I think. But I don't know, you tell me.
The girls all gasped when they saw Smallfoot now emerging from the chamber into her humanoid form. She survived the process after all. But they only had one problem... she was nude.
The girls all cringed when they saw she was naked and they covered their eyes with the palms of their hands.
"Okay, that's something I didn't want to see," Indigo said.
Smallfoot took a few steps forward, and she winced from the cold steel floor.
"Agh, that's cold... wait a minute. Why am I reacting to it? I never felt that before," Smallfoot said.
"Professor Von Joy said that you would feel things like a regular human in that metallic shell," Sunny said, covering her eyes.
Smallfoot looked at the girls with confusion, "Why are you covering your eyes?"
"Well, uh... its not very nice to stare at a lady when she's in the nude," Sunny replied.
Smallfoot's hands went on her hips, "Don't you girls change out in the locker rooms at school?"
"Well... yes," Sunny replied.
"And haven't you all seen each other naked before?" Smallfoot asked.
"Yes, but--"
"Then you don't need to cover your eyes, I don't mind. I'm not ashamed of this," Smallfoot said, letting her arms hang.
"Are you sure?"
"Just remove your hands and tell me what you think," Smallfoot asked.
Sunny was the first to remove her eyes, hesitantly. She still wasn't too comfortable looking at someone who was nude. Indigo was next to follow, reluctantly, but the minute she got a glimpse, her head was held high and her eyes continued to look up at the ceiling. Sugarcoat was the last to follow, and just like her normal self, she didn't show much of a reaction. But all of them could agree Smallfoot was actually pretty decent as a human.
Her skin was slick gray, shining in the moonlight. Her eyes were solid dark green, and her hair was orange with it spiked up in the front a bit, and the hair extending out to her back. Her figure was similar to an hourglass figure, with her sides being a bit curvy.
"Huh... Smallfoot, dearie, I have to say for a human form you have a very nice figure," Sunny said.
Smallfoot blushed, "Y-You think I look... nice?"
Sunny nodded, "I may not have the same attraction as you, but still I have to admit, you look very attractive. I guarantee Sour will be falling head over heels for you."
"I must admit it as well, even though I'm straight," Sugarcoat agreed.
Smallfoot felt heat on her cheeks, but she gave a friendly smile back to her friends. "T-Thanks guys."
"Although it kind is a little hard to talk with you when you're standing here naked," Indigo said, not looking at Smallfoot's face, "I can only look you in the eyes right now."
Sunny turned her head and rolled her eyes when she Indigo Zap holding her head high, staring up at the ceiling. She wasn't feeling too comfortable talking with Smallfoot... in the nude.
"Can you maybe put on a shirt and some pants? I can talk with you if you're wearing clothes, but right now you being naked is kind of uncomfortable," Indigo said.
Sunny raised a hand, "Calm down Indigo. Luckily for us, I brought a bathrobe with me just in case."
Sunny opened up a suitcase, revealing to be a blue cotton wool bathrobe with her insignia on it, which had a picture of a sun hidden in some clouds. Smallfoot accepted the bathrobe, and she put it on, wrapping it around herself, keeping it secure. Indigo's eyes slowly looked, back and eventually her whole head looked back at Smallfoot to see she was okay.
"Whew, okay, good. I can look at you now," Indigo said, "Sorry. Just felt weird talking to you when you were naked."
Smallfoot nodded.
"Okay, well now that I've got a look of a human, I'm going to need your help to pass myself off as a mystery date for Sour," Smallfoot replied.
The girls gave agreeing nods.
"We'll help you in any way we can, and I believe I know the first thing to do," Sunny said.
After getting everything they needed, everyone began to head on to their separate homes. They even stopped by the lounge room and untied Lemon to get her back to her own home. But the only ones who weren't going home were Indigo and Smallfoot. Indigo wanted to help Sunny Flare find a new outfit for Smallfoot to blend in with the humans, and to wear something so she could pass herself off as a different human being to try and ask Sour out.
The trio walked into Sunny Flare's mansion, late at night. And Smallfoot was still dressed in the bathrobe that Sunny had offered her. It didn't make sense for them to take the trip back home with Smallfoot looking naked.
The three of them walked upstairs, entering in Sunny Flare's bedroom. All around, it looked like the inside of a wardrobe department of a Hollywood set. On the left side, there were several clothes all hanging on hangers on different racks, with many different pants, shoes, skirts, shirts, jackets, and so forth. There were a few dressers which contained other clothes, along with makeup, there was a mirror that had lots of light-bulbs surrounding the frame, several little makeup kits on the dresser under the mirror, and there was a small chair that sat with the desk/dresser.
As for the other side, there was Sunny Flare's bed, with a black wooden nightstand next to it, and on the night stand rested a lamp and a little alarm clock. On the walls there were a few picture frames of some famous actors and a few movie posters.
Smallfoot's eyes widened when she saw the gigantic bedroom, "That's a... that's a lot of clothes."
"I know," Sunny said.
"How, can you afford all of this?" Smallfoot asked.
"I work in stage performances, and when some of the costumes are never being used again, they allow me to keep them so I can use them again. And I have a bit of free time on my hands, I kind of took up making clothes from a friend of ours over at the Boutique," Sunny said.
"So come on, lets find you something that screams you," Indigo asked.
Smallfoot nodded. She was about to remove the bathrobe off her body, until Indigo interrupted her again raising a hand.
"Wait, wait... maybe we should find you a bra and panties first. I don't want to look at you naked again," Indigo said, her face cringing from the sheer thought.
Smallfoot slowly adjusted the robe back on her body, getting Indigo to calm down once again. She looked around, unsure of where the items would be. In the dresser? The nightstand? The humongous closet?
But before she said anything--
"Top dresser drawer, there should be some panties and bras you can use," Sunny said, pointing a finger up not looking at Smallfoot.
Smallfoot looked back for a second, questioning how she was able to sense what she was going to ask. She walked over and opened up the dresser, revealing dozens of pairs of panties and bras, all sorted and aligned in rows, patterns, and by color. The organization of them made Smallfoot's eyes bulge from her sockets.
"You've got quite the organizational skills Sunny," Smallfoot said as she looked through the drawer.
"Thanks," Sunny said, "I prefer to be clean and neat for when those come into my room."
Smallfoot looked across left and right, seeing what was available for her to use. None of them looked that good. But another thought came into her head. No one was going to be looking at her underwear, so did it really matter? She simply grabbed a bra and pair of panties, clutching them tightly in her hand. She was about to take the robe off, but then looked at Indigo.
"Uh, I'm gonna put them on, I know you don't really want to see me naked so...", Smallfoot droned.
Indigo caught on, "Oh, yeah!"
Indigo turned around, facing the other direction, avoiding eye contact from Smallfoot so she could change. She managed to put the pair of panties on, and the bra onto her body. Having lived with Sour, she taught her a thing or two about clothes.
"Okay, I'm good," Smallfoot said.
Indigo hesitantly turned around to get a look, and then turned her whole body around. While she didn't like seeing people naked, she didn't mind them in underwear as much.
"Okay, that's better. Now lets see about finding something that makes you you," Indigo said.
Sunny pointed to the big closet across from her bed, "Check the closet, there should be something in there you can use."
Smallfoot walked over to the closet and her eyes widened, followed by her arms slapping to her sides. All she was seeing was dozens of hats in the shelves in the top of the closet.
"You have 30 hats in here," Smallfoot said.
Sunny paused for a moment, "I wear all of them," Sunny protested.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
Smallfoot stared back up on the shelves, and pulled a hat out from the top. The hat had big hoop earrings on the sides, and a huge assortment of fruit all attached on the top making the hat tall. She walked over and plopped it on Sunny's head.
"You wear that?" Smallfoot huffed.
Sunny paused for a moment, thinking about what Smallfoot said.
"I wore it when I was playing Carmen Miranda," Sunny replied.
Smallfoot's hands went on her hips, "And you still need it?"
"Yes. For all I know, I may need to give it to someone if they play this character again and I might have to play the character again too. Not to mention, whenever I go to a new groccery store, I point to it and say, 'what isle are these in?'", Sunny said pointing to the hat.
Smallfoot's hand scrunched on her face, she couldn't comprehend what was told to her. She walked back over to the closet, and she looked at more items that were in the closet. She looked around some more, and pulled some belts off that were hanging.
"Belts, belts, belts... Sunny, do you need all of these belts? You have dozens of these," Smallfoot said, hand gesturing to the belts.
"I need them for different clothes and for different days. And why are you even surprised with how much I have?" Sunny asked.
"You have more clothes than Sour!" Smallfoot sputtered, "Compared to what you have, I say she's only got clothes for like... a week, tops. Literally, I've only seen maybe a few tank tops, maybe some skirts, pants, a two pairs of shorts. Half of what I've seen is the Crystal Prep uniform," Smallfoot replied.
"We can focus on that later, find something that makes you stand on your own," Sunny sternly said.
Smallfoot sighed, "You're right. I need to find proper attire for myself. I can worry about Sour's fashion later. Lets see...", Smallfoot's eyes scanned up and down all around in the closet, but mostly she was seeing nothing but hats. Nothing of value was to be seen.
She was about to speak again but--
"Slide the closet door to the left, you'll find some shirts in there," Sunny said, looking at herself in the mirror, leaving a surprised Smallfoot.
Smallfoot was about to question how she knew what she was going to say, but she wasn't going to question it any further. This was Sunny's house after all, she probably knew where everything was in this giant room. She looked through the shirts that were hanging, and kept pushing some from side to side, seeing what she had to offer.
"Lets see... no. No. No. Ugly. Gross. Whoa, that's too revealing. That just looks wrong. Uh...", Smallfoot muttered as she kept pushing shirts out of the way, eventually she came to a stop as one caught her eye. "Hm..."
Smallfoot pulled the shirt off the hangar, and walked over to Sunny Flare who was still focused on her makeup looking into the mirror.
"How about this one?" Smallfoot asked.
Sunny turned around and saw a plaid button-up blue and white sleeveless shirt, held in Smallfoot's hands. Sunny gave a smile.
"I think it works," Sunny said.
After a while, Indigo and Sunny eventually began helping Smallfoot find the right attire to make her a new person. They went through many different pairs of pants, shoes, dresses, and even a bit of jewelry. But eventually Smallfoot found the attire she was going for.
She stood in front of Sunny Flare and Indigo Zap with a smile on her face, proud of her new look.
"How do I look?" Smallfoot asked.
Indigo Zap smirked, "You look awesome. Sour won't even know its you."
"I'm not too sure though, the color scheme you have matching here seems to be a bit clear who you are," Sunny said.
"Come on Sunny, I'm sure it'll be fine. Sour won't even know it, I look nothing like I did when I was in the Friendship Games," Smallfoot replied.
"Okay, if you say so. Although, may I add two more things to you?"
"Like what?" Smallfoot tilted her head.
Sunny walked over to the desk underneath the mirror and opened up a drawer. Looking around, she pulled out two things from within the drawer. Once she had them, she closed it shut and walked back to Smallfoot and presented them to her. One was a golden necklace with a little gold carved picture of a hammer crossing over a wrench, and in the other was a pair of green tinted glasses that were spiked up near the edges, almost like ones that a rockstar from the 1980s would have worn.
"Ooh, I like it," Smallfoot said.
She grabbed the necklace and placed it over her head, getting to hang around her neck, revealing the gold image. Smallfoot then clutched the glasses and placed them on her face. Luckily the girls could still see her eyes through them.
"Smallfoot, I think you're ready," Sunny said.
"I hope so. I don't want to leave Sour more sad than she already is," Smallfoot said.
Smallfoot ended up spending the night with Sunny Flare and Indigo Zap since she couldn't return back home in her new state. Her plan would be revealed in a instant. But Smallfoot didn't even see how Sour was doing by herself.
All throughout the night, she couldn't sleep. She was too sad to go to sleep. Many thoughts were jumping around her head, and none of them were happy. She could only think about how everyone else was doing great, and she wasn't doing great at all. Half of her friends had been doing so well, and some of them had their own romantic partners. But she didn't think she was worthy. No one would want to go out with her. Why would anyone go out with someone who can barely say nice things? Why would anyone love someone who keeps snapping at the littlest of comments? Why would anyone go out with her after her actions at the Friendship Games?
In her head, she was nothing but a monster. She had been nothing but mean ever since she attended Crystal Prep, and what nice thing did she even do? Did she do anything nice to anyone? Outside of helping her alien friends from another world save her planet, nothing off the top of her head seemed like she was nice at all. The only ones that she was nice to her own friends and family, but even then she would occasionally snap at them over a comment. How were they still staying with her, they should have run from her a long time ago.
Tears formed in the edges of Sour's eyes, and she did nothing but sob quietly in her sleep. No one was deserving of her. No one needed to deal with her anger and frustration. No one needed to be with someone who constantly snaps at every little thing. Who would even like her. Who would even... love her?
