Sometimes the Unexpected can be a great boon other times it can be a complete disaster.

CO’s Log: I decided to write a log of progress of the base and personnel Misty and Daisy are doing far better than I expected. I have granted Daisy the Field Field Rank of Gunnery Sergeant since she joined the Military I decided to give her the rank for I could not advance her in status within the Steel Rangers. Misty has tackled the challenges of learning everything involving Medical and her combat training as well as armor training are going splendidly. Moon Lily has shown that she has a good head of her shoulders. Her two companions are still questionable but have shown Improvements as well. Daisy and Misty have both been keeping an eye on them so far there has been no issues. We shall be heading out to Fillydelphia in a few hours to check out the MAW hub there. I do not know what to expect the tower is not responding like somepony has locked out the link to the others so we are going in blind which I do not like. The SPP mainframe could not give an explanation for why the tower was not responding. So I contacted Homage to see if she has any idea what she told me disturbed me to know end. According to the Information given Redeye the leader of the biggest slaver group has complete control over the Tower in Fillydelphia and has prevented Dj Pon3 to even lift the spirits of the ponies living in Fillydelphia. From what I have been told Littlepip and her group will be going to Fillydelphia to fix this problem by attaching an override onto the systems in the tower. Knowing that filly like I do she wouldn’t stand around without doing something. I just hope she wouldn’t do something stupid.

After recording my log I walked to the briefing room and called everypony in. When they all sat down I cleared my throat. “Alright listen up due to issues I do not have much Intel for our upcoming mission to Fillydelphia. The Tower there in Filly is not responding I investigated further it appears our foe Redeye’s has somehow managed to take control of the tower and has blocked every link to the other towers. All I know is that it is Operational that is the only thing I know. So we are going to have to use extreme caution when entering Fillydelphia before we even move into the city proper I want to recon the area. From what I know the City center is where the megaspell was detonated in the very heart of the city. Lucky for us we will not have to go anywhere near there. The MAW hub was not located near or around the other hubs. I know from reports from Daisy that the M.W.T hub was captured by Redeye forcing the Rangers there to fall back. We will be avoiding the Stable Tech HQ building for that is where the Ranger fell back to and have fortified the building Heavily. So It will be up to Moon Lily Storm and Myself to acquire the recon data we need to proceed. We will set down near the Outskirts of the city So we can hide Out while we gather the intel we need Do not let your guards down for a moment. Daisy will be in charge If both Myself and The Captain are on recon. Moon Lily you have excellent vision during the night so If we are held up before making our way in you will have Night Recon. Your armors com system should be tied into the Tortoise. I want to make sure we all come out of this in one piece. Do not take unnecessary risks.” I said with stern expression on my face.

“With the Addition of Moon Lily we now have access to another flyer and will be able to pull along another tortoise for storing the equipment and gear we can recover. So Moon Lily will be pulling the additional tortoise designated Beta. Daisy will be on beta tortoise at coms Divenia you will operate the Weapon systems on Beta. Sharp Shot will be operating Alpha’s Weapons and Misty on coms. There is a reason for this. Daisy and Misty besides myself and the Captain are the senior staff of this unit, they out rank the three of you so while there onboard there in charge they report directly to myself and the captain. Since we will be flying to Fillydelphia we will be taking breaks every two hours to rest. Hellhound activity has been reported along the route to Filly from Manehattan so we will be staying off the ground as much as possible. If we must set down to rest we will need to find locations to set down that will give us some protection. The purpose for this is to rest and stretch for those of you flying in the tortoises no exploring. We do not want a run in with hellhounds. From what I understand once we get close to Filly we will be safer from them. Its that stretch between that is the danger zone. I want eyes and ears open while we are traveling No exceptions. Stealth tech will be distributed for the Recon teams as well as the others if need be while we recon the area we will use stealth tech we have so that we can see what is what without risk. If we had the personnel We could use the raptor but we don’t. I do not want any unnecessary risks out there. Be ready to go in 45 minutes I want to make way to Fillydelphia before it gets too late. That is all Dismissed.” I said.

I sighed. As the others left the room Storm paused at the door turned around and walked back to me. “What's troubling you CJ.” Storm asked.

I couldn’t help but smile. “Storm you know me too well. I guess it is all the uncertainty with this mission we could very well lose ponies. This mission is an unknown with potential high risk. How do we know what to expect. You know I hate not having intel on a mission flying blind with our flanks of fire. We both know how this could turn out.” I said.

Storm smiled. “Ah but that is what makes it all fun the unknown it improves teamwork they will be relying on each other out there. Helping one another. Granted having intel on the situation in Fillydelphia would be great that way we could go in with some information. Alast we do not have that intel so what we will gather data and be able to make choices that will be best used in the field.” Storm said getting a nod from me.

“I guess that's true building teamwork is important for all. Plus Moon Lily has shown great potential. I could say she could lead Beta team eventually.” I said getting a nod and smile from Storm.

“Let’s get ready to go CJ. We have to overlook the Packing anyway.” Storm said.

With that said we left the briefing room. Making our way to the hangar where the tortoises were being loaded. As we arrived Daisy and Misty were standing respectively by the two Tortoises. Making sure that everything was stored and secured properly. Moon Lily was checking over the harness for beta.

“Moon Lily have you pulled anything before?” I asked.

“No Ma’am.” She replied snapping to attention.

“Well it isn’t to different from flying normally you just have to lean into the turns more you also have to be wary when landing the tortoise floats and hovers when the power systems are engaged. So you will not feel its weight but after a while it can be tiring hence the reason for resting. Other than that you should be fine do not forget to inform us should you need to rest. Do not push yourself too the last moment you could very well not be able to break properly and crash if you're to tired. You are responsible for the crew inside the tortoise always let them know when landing and taking off. So you do not throw them around back there.” I said with a giggle.

“Learned that From experience through my training officer and some cadets around the first time I pulled something when I took off landing went a little easier because i got chewed out. Keep that In mind.” I said.

“Yes Ma’am.” Moon Lily replied.

I did an inspection of both Alpha and Beta gear and supplies stored and secured. I nodded in approval.

“Alright Ladies go to your assigned transport and prepare for departure Moon Lily you will follow me Storm bring up the rear.” I said getting confirmation of orders.

I strapped myself into the harness of Tortoise Alpha Moon Lily was strapped in and so was Storm. “Let’s Move out keep eyes and ears open ladies.” I said as the hangar doors opened and we flew out doors closing after the last was out With a single press Base entered Lockdown security activated and was ready for anything.

We flew towards Fillydelphia flying quickly chatter was kept to a Minimum.

Two hours into our flight blips showed up on our efs. “Contacts dead ahead.” I reported.
I then swore out loud. “Celestia above Contacts are hostile prepare for combat. Alicorns three of them. Rapped decent land we can’t very well fight in the air effectively with a novice puller.” I said.

We all entered a steep descent and landed quickly disconnecting ourselves from the Tortoises and supply wagon respectively. The Alicorns landed a short distance away from us.
“You are far from home Pegasi why do you come below?” The purple one asked.

I raised an eyebrow. “Really you're going to ask me why I am here?” I asked in reply.

“Do not try our patents pegasus.” She snapped.

“You are Not Authorized for that information.” I said.

“It is you who do not belong here enclave.” She spat out.

I took my weapon safety's off. “Why does everypony I meet automatically assume I’m enclave. I am not a traitor to Equestria you winged monstrosity.” I snapped back.

This got her eyebrow to arch. “If you are not enclave then what are you?” She asked.

“I am an officer of the Equestrian Airguard. If you interfere with my mission then you will be dealt with accordingly. I have no wish for confrontation. But I will defend what I believe in and the Protection of Equestrian Citizens.” I said.

“Impossible. There is no Equestrian Military.” She snapped.

“I am General Cloud Striker of the Equestrian Airguard.” I said.

The Alicorn gasped. Which caused my eyebrow to raise.

“Impossible.” She said.

“No matter we will know the truth one way or another.” She said. I fired the instant there markers turned red I launched three missiles and fired my energy rifle and gatling. Tearing through their shields they popped up with magically enhanced AP rounds. Two of the alicorns went down fast the third was disabled by Misty’s anesthesia spell. I approached the downed purple mare.

“I do not know who you are or why you attacked my team but I will tell you this I am not your enemy unless you make me so I have no wish to fight but your unity as I have learned of it is not the way to save Equestria tell your goddess your mother what ever she is to you. That crossing me would not be wise I removed my Helmet Remember I am one of the sole surviving members of the Equestrian Military. You harm or enslave the ponies of Equestria or force them against their will to join this unity you spout and I will not be so generous in our next encounter.” I said.

The mare just looked at me with shock like she is seeing a ghost. “Your message has been relayed.” She murmured under her breath.

“You will not be able to move for an hour due to the nature of the magic used on you. I suggest you not follow us or attempt to interfere again. I do not wish to end lives of ponies including that of however you kind came to be. I served the Princesses of Equestria and the greater good The way you propose is not the way unification is working together as individuals from your little comment you said under your breath you are linked with this so called goddess. More likely don’t even have a will of your own. I pity you for you have lost what it truly means to be a pony.” I said as I turned and got back into the harness and took off not looking back as I flew off with the others right behind me.

Over the communications I spoke with the others. “Thoughts on the encounter we just had with the Alicorns?” I asked.

“Troubling to say the least and I think you're right there nothing but puppets of this goddess character. Sad really I agree with you though showing that we will not outright kill but spare the life of one to take a message back could be problematic in the future.” Storm said.

“You could be right about that Storm but I want them to know I will kill if needed that I will protect the innocent. That Alicorn may not have had a choice in the matter. We do know that Redeye has been requesting a lot of unicorns and paying high caps for them who could say that they're not going to this goddess to be turned into these Alicorns against their will being stripped of everything that made them individual's.” I said.

“Good point we do not know what these ponies are going through but I would like to put a stop to it at some point.” Storm said.

“I agree with the Captain on the fact that Redeye needs to be stopped and slavery put into a deep grave.” Moon Lily said.

“What do you think Misty?” I asked.

“It saddens me that so many of my tribe are hunted and sold into slavery I lost my home to slavers my mother, father and brother to slavers. I would like to see it stopped.” Misty said.

Divenia and Sharp shot Spoke up. “That was by far one of the most troubling encounters we have ever faced.” They said.

Divenia added “I to would like to see slavery stopped personally.” She said getting us to pause except Moon Lily.

“Divenia…” I treaded carefully.. “Is there something we should know about?”

I heard a heavy sigh. “I am an escaped slave or I should say was an escaped slave freed by Sharp Shot after I ran from the slavers who raped my daughter when they went to do the same to me My daughter was young the trauma of what happened to her was too much she was not in the best of health we were on our way to a medical clinic to have her healed the rape killed her. I managed to break free but they chased me Luckily they hadn’t applied the bomb collar but the chains made it hard for me to move quickly. Sharp Shot assisted me got me out of that situation and freed my hooves.” Divenia said.

“Okey.. Are you going to be able to handle this mission?” I asked.

“I’ll do my best Ma’am. The fact that we are going into what could very well be the heart of slaver territory will make it difficult but I’ll manage.” she said.

“We will help her Ma’am.” Moon Lily and Sharp Shot said.

“Very well.” I said.

“Divenia do not take any unnecessary risks your a important to this mission your skills in enchantment and ability in it are important. No pony is more important than the others but your ability is important there are not that many out there that can do what you can only ones I know of left with that skill are Up there with the Grand Pegasi Enclave With your aid we can make and distribute Water Talismans to every town and city so they would have clean water That is the power of enchanters.” I said I heard a gasp from Sharp Shot and Moon Lily as well as Divenia.

“I’ll do my best Ma’am to think I could be of great help to Equestria it’s scary and amazing.” Divenia said.

“Misty could very well be one of the few True Doctors out there that has undergone training in the field of medical. That isn’t a doctor from a stable that is than there is them.” I said getting a chirp of pride from Misty.

We kept flying until we needed to rest for a bit we landed on the roof of what looked like a parking garage of some sort. We set up watches Daisy and Sharp Misty and Divenia and Moon Lily with me. Storm went for a short recon flight. While I cooked our supper.

Moon Lily walked up to me “Ma’am can I speak to you for a moment mare to mare?” She asked.

I looked at her for a moment. “Moon Lily I will say this No matter what you can always approach me if you need to talk. All my ponies are always welcome to talk to me. So what’s on your mind?” I asked.

“Well Ma’am I’m entering that time of the year for my kind. I do have trouble at times because of it especially around stallions.” She said.

“Ah how long until you're in it all the way Moon Lily?” I asked.
“I should be in full estrus in about a week if not sooner I have no clue but I do know its getting close.” She said.

“Is that why the three of you paused in route to New Appleloosa. So you take care of yourself?” I asked.

Moon Lily squeaked in shock. “You saw that?” She asked.

“Moon Lily the moment I learned of your group being Hired I have had your progress monitored. I know when each of you stopped to eat or use the Filly’s Rest Pile so to speak though I did not pay attention to that sort of thing. Mainly it was to keep an eye on your progress. So Yes I caught yeah masterbating when I checked on your group before I headed for bed. To be Honest you shouldn’t feel shame we all have that Itch from time to time. When we get back to base I can provide you with estrus relief devices. Trust me when I say the help take that edge off. So please do not feel embarrassed that you had to do that. My family and friends.” I said with a sigh. “Its not easy being a mare in the service Moon Lily I had to work twice as hard as the others I learned how to Shoot and became a sniper I had to prove that A mare could do the same task as any stallion. I did and caught the Eye of my Idol and friend Rainbow Dash she swept me and Storm up Storm and I are a team back before power armors and efs snipers where a two team unit you had your sniper and then the spotter. Storm was My spotter she trained hard just like me We did not want to be pushed off as some weak little fillies who joined the big ponies on the battlefield as a support. We wanted to be called on to do tough jobs if needed we sure got what we asked for that's for sure I have personally ended over 100 zebren Lives from shots from my sniper I personally orders and payed for this custom sniper I have now. That Armor was ordered by MAW for personnel we had coming to the base. We are on our way to acquire the rest of the ordered armors ment for our personnel there the property of The MAW but you have proven you can use it effectively so thats your personal armor.” I said.

“Thank you Ma’am for understanding. As well as the information.” Moon Lily said.

“No Problem Lily I maybe your Co but I’m still a mare I understand and will offer you the aid you need for the coming event.” I said getting a smile for Lily.

Storm Wing landed next to me. “Anything to report?” I asked.
“Nothing but death and Desolation.” She said.

That got my eyebrow up. “Report Captain.” I said

“Sorry Ma’am I caught sight of that Alicorn we let go. She met up with three others I stealthed up and got close so I could listen in Not much vocal talking but the mare seemed to be confused about something. They flew off towards Marapony but the mare we spared was slaughtered by a hellhound that popped out of nowhere right underneath her tore her apart and two of the others even with full shield up I managed to Kill the Hellhound with a surprise attack Sparing the last Alicorn hopefully we can get through to this goddess pony that this is not the way to save Equestria the Blue one that was talking to The purple we spared was speaking in the 3rd person even mentioned The Great and Powerful Goddess doesn't need excuses.” She replied.

“OH sweet Celestia not her please don’t let it be her.” I said.

“Ma’am?” Storm and Lily asked.

“An annoying pony from my past who has caused problems for Ponyville on two occasions. Would always address herself in the Third Person and always with The Great and Powerful. Before her name even challenged Twilight twice to a magic duel and Lost. She was a stage magician stage performer a illusionist somepony who uses stage magic and illusions to entertain the patrons. Her name was Trixie or as she liked to call herself The Great and Powerful Trixie. I know that Twilight talked to her before the end I think she might have offered Trixie an opportunity she might been the test subject for the IMP Storm. If she was and is this goddess she will not listen and will do what she feels is right to her she once turned PonyVille into her personal slaves before Twilight Put a stop to it that was before the war even started.” I said.

I sighed “If she lets her ego get the better of her like I think she might have she’s not going to be able to reasoned with. Twilight might have suffered and been killed or absorbed by this Trixie Goddess persona that has developed. If so I will have to Free my friend from her clutches whatever is left of her that is and allow her to rest could be reason she gasped when I said my name.” I said.

“Of course this is just a Hypothesis I have no proof anyway wash up girls supper is ready.” I said getting nods from Lily and Storm.

The others joined after washing up for food we ate in relative silence Each of us lost in our own thoughts. After supper we did discuss the encounter with the Alicorns in more detail.

“So Misty what did you learn from the scan of the Alicorn?” I asked.

“Not much I’m afraid to say I do know that they have resistance to Radiation in fact I could possibly say that it would heal them and possibly make them stronger. Other than that I have nothing although they seem to be just like any other pony except that they have both wings and a horn and are capable of flight and more then likely the same abilities as any pegasus pony.” Misty said.

“Ok so they have power can survive in irradiated areas Fly with the possibility of pegasi of walking and accessing cloud based tech. With what I think could be possible they also learn from each other one dies they know how and learn to avoid the same tactics used on them before. That would make them dangerous to fight because we don’t know if a tactic will work on them or not catching would off guard seems the best way to take one down otherwise it can be a tough fight plus they have magic who know’s what spells they might know. They can be unpredictable that makes them tough opponents to face.” I said.

“I agree we should avoid them if we can. Should we encounter them again we should be ready for a fight and try and take them by surprise.” Storm said getting a nod from me.

“I would like to study one at some point would be interesting to study.” Misty said getting gowns from all of us.

“Ok we will see if we can find one willing to let you study her. That is another thing from what I have seen so far and heard all the alicorns have been mares Not one Stallion has been reported I asked Dj Pon3 about them He doesn’t know much about them only that there tough to fight and dangerous.” I said.

That got Misty’s ears to perk up. “I wonder if that is a flaw in the process that turned them into a Alicorn, or is it that none of the ponies that joined their unity where stallions?” Misty asked.

“That might never be answered Misty.” I said i held up a hoof. “It is a good question though.” I added.

“Anyway Moon Lily and I are first watch get some sleep everypony I want to get a early start if possible. Sharp and Daisy we will wake you when shift change.” I said getting a nod.

The night was peaceful for the most part. I was looking up and a sight I thought I wouldn’t see there were small breaks in the cloud cover I was seeing the stars however briefly It was beautiful. “Ma’am can I ask you something.” Moon Lily asked.

I look at her. “Sure,” I said.

“What was Equestria like before the war and the Princess?” Moon Lily asked.

“Ah a big question. Well I can tell you Equestria was peaceful not at war or fighting amongst each other Oh we had a few tiffs here and there with other nations but nothing big We had peace for over a thousand years. Equestria was green full of life The weather was controlled by the pegasi Earth pony farmers would plow their fields grow there crops. Unicorns would do well whatever it was they do most where teachers and scholars or the occasional Librarian. As for Princess Luna I had only met her only a few times before the war. She was well Uneak she was behind times spoke in old equish. Used the Royal We and the Canterlot voice she could be loud when she is upset or mad. She was a kind pony who was saddened because nopony really payed all that attention to her nights. When she returned she was out of place but she did what she could to help everypony Twilight Sparkle and the others helped her feel needed and Joy for the first time. She came to Ponyville the Nightmare Night after she returned everypony was cowering in fear. Twilight and Myself were not we know Luna was only trying to reconnect with her little ponies. As the Princesses were fond of saying My Little Ponies. We realized after trying to get Pinkie Pie to stop inciting fear in everypony that they were only playing because of the Night it was. Luna was sad that night even canceled Nightmare Night Forever because she thought they were mocking her. Took me and Twilight a little bit to figure out what was happening we even got Princess Luna to join in the festivities especially after one of the colts asked her to scare them again next year. She managed to Even Prank Rainbow Dash by zapping her with a small thundercloud. Rainbow did that every year. She was a kind pony who was often misunderstood. Her school was the sight of a massacre. My mate was a teacher at her school I never got to say goodbye. I had been planning to get together with her and a stallion we wished to court. That Saturday but LittleHorn happened before that could happen. Princess Luna was Angered from what I understand Princess Celestia was devastated. She Picked the Location for the School Even made a joke about sending Luna’s students to the moon. The location was called the Crescent Moon Canyon. The school was a birthday gift from Celestia to her sister. Celestia abdicated the throne shortly after that. I was in the last group of recruits to be sworn in by Celestia herself.” I said.

“Luna was in way over her hooves she was having problems so much so she formed the Ministries and called on the Six most important mares to run them. Twilight Sparkle the mare of the MAS. Rarity The mare of Image, Pinkie Pie the mare of MoM, Fluttershy the Mare of Peace, Rainbow Dash the Mare of Awesome, Applejack the Mare of MWT. each one were heroes of Equestria. Each one was the bearer of an element of Harmony. Twilight was the Element of Magic, Rarity was Generosity, Pinkie Pie was Laughter, Fluttershy was Kindness, Applejack Honesty and Rainbow Dash was Loyalty. I not many got to see Luna that often she was so busy I think it was getting to her more than anypony knows Only one who could really say would be Celestia I was present at the base when Luna showed up to inspect. I got to speak to her in private I was the chosen Commander for the base so she wanted to speak to me. She gave me her orders and the purpose of the base should the worst case happen. She had High hopes that it would never be needed but she could not let it go without preparing for the worst.” I paused Took a drink for my canteen before continuing. “She was sad she was lonely and Frustrated. Every avenue of peace talks were failing. Shatterhoof happened We lost big mac. That was hard on everypony Then the Steel Ranger armor was created with two Ministries working together to build the armor. MAS and MWT worked together to create that armor took Aj a year to even get it built she even sold her farm to fund it herself she took Big Macs death hard She wanted to give the ponies fighting this war something better than the standard armors being mass produced. I worked with Rainbow Dash and Rarity building a power armor or somewhat powered armor for the pegasi we needed every edge we could get. Aj pitched in because she new the pegasi needed better armors but it was Mainly Image and Awesome project Twilight helped by providing a power matrix that would allow us to enchant the armor to reduce its weight. Weapon enchantments to build into the weapons so we could fight as we flew without the kick back from said weapons. We had this new armor for about a Year we made headway on the MK 1 model of the Fully Powered Armor the ones we are wearing was a project between MAW MoI and the MWT to create an armor with the same protection as the Steel Rangers. I was given this suit as a gift because I tested it. Of course after everything was fixed all the bugs out of the systems The Upgraded the armor with the revised system with my own modifications I requested of course. You should have that mod as well Was to be a function with this armor. An emergency release function.” I said.

“I wish I could meet My Princess.” Moon Lily said taking a deep breath. “I would do what I could to help her offering my life to her I am her willing servant. I would do anything she would ask of me no matter what it was.” She added.

“Yep that is what A lot of the Thestrals I served with said all the time She was a cute little mare who I have to admit caught my eye more than once. But I was still mourning the loss of my Mate the mare I was in love with. We were going to form a herd with the stallion in question or talk to him about it. They both worked as Teachers for Luna’s school they both died that day. So I lost my mate and my other potential mate that would have become the father of my foals had he agreed.” I said.

“Rainbow Dash was the pony that snapped me out of the funk I was in I was feeling helpless useless she told me to do something about it find something I believed in and not to let it go. I joined Three days later and left for bootcamp. I trained hard pushed myself and did just about everything my trainers told me not to do I impressed the buck out of those stallions Not one dared mess with me after one Tried to get me in bed. For the night I ended up putting him in the informory. When asked I told them he made untoward advances and tried to get me in bed with him Storm was a witness she was there and Confirmed what I said.” I said.

“I have done things I am not proud of I’ve killed countless Zebra’s I have seen things that disturb me still to this day during that war. I have not lost myself to it I may not be the mare I was before the war. But I am the same pony that I always have been Pinkie Lost herself during the war our friends drifted apart The war effort was taking its tole on everypony. Division was happening ponies not wishing to fight believing it wasn’t there fight. They seem to have forgotten that If something happens to one it happens to all Pegasi spoke out against the war or pulling more and more pegasi into it when it wasn’t even there fight according to the Propaganda i was hearing towards the end. Zebras were bringing in dragons developing flight and invisibility charms we had more and more aerial battles. Then were ever reported to the public we didn’t want to incite panic or mass hysteria.” I said.

I Sighed heavily. “It was one big mess. Princess Luna’s orders were to help Equestria recover and to protect the ponies. She could not predict that she would be around Nothing was certain I do know that If she Did not survive her orders still stand I will do what I have been ordered to do By my Princess. I will not Fail her again.” I said with a bowed head.

“Yes Pegasi wings can be quite sensitive to when on hard surfaces. Result can be stiff or hurt wings in the morning we normally sleep in clouds or have a very very soft bed if we live on the ground Storm and I have very sensitive wings. If we can’t get comfortable we end up not being able to sleep. Wing care can also be a chore sometimes noticing that Storm had been preening. “Well we technically are the same tribe but we thestrals are a sub tribe within the pegasi. Our wings are different but yet the same we may not have feathers like you but we do have to care for our wings Wing care is different for us as it would be for you so i'm just curious is all.” She said.

“Well beside cleaning we need to make sure our feathers are aligned and not twisted or broken could cause problems in flight. We protect our wings with an oil that we produce it is a weather coating of sorts that waterproofs our feathers. We normally have to preen at least once or twice a day depending on how much flying we have done or we just wish to work on our wings it’s natural for a pegasus to be preening her or his wings normally it is a personal act but can be shared with close family or mate. It is an intimate act.” I said Lily’s eyes widen a little.

“Oh I see that is why you said personal time. When you said that thought it was like I’m kind of going through.” Moon Lily said.

“She’s going into estrus Storm.” I said.

“Anyway hope you manage to get some sleep tonight ma’am.” Lily said.

She may only be a year younger but still I consider her family she is pretty much all I have left.” I said before adding. “I do have orders but as for close friends and family Storms the closest thing I have to family we are not related but still She’s family to me so is my team I may not know you all as well as Storm that doesn’t mean you're not family. “

The rest of the first watch went quietly. After waking Daisy and Sharp up I retired to a quiet place and began preening my wings relaxing as I did with my left wing protected and finished I began on my right wing. Two shots were heard Sharp and DIvenia went to scout ahead com came alive Divenia was hit we and that they were pinned down we double timed it EFS confirmed 6 active Hostiles the hostiles were a Steel Ranger patrol I started scanning for active com channel I found it there com. What I was hearing was not something I wanted to hear My EFS confirmed that they were preparing to flank us. I looked at Daisy Switched to team coms. “Daisy there rangers There attempting to flank us Misty can you check on Divenia Storm this can get ugly real quick.” I said. I looked over to sharp shot she was leaning against the wall. I didn’t like what I was seeing Sharp had been hit “Check on sharp to she’s been hit as well but I think we might be too late for her.” I said Stomping a hoof.

“I’m going to attempt something here it just might work and it might not. Daisy stay alert we do not want to be surprised.” I said turning to the rangers channel. “Attention Steel Rangers Attention Hold your bucking fire.” I said in the over the channel.

“Who the buck is this? How the buck did you get our com channel?” An irritated mares voice sounded in my ear.

“I am General Cloud Striker of the Equestrian Special forces you will cease your attack on my unit at once or I will retaliate with deadly force.” I replied.

“I will not surrender You stupid mare I have given you a warning you have disregarded it you will pay for your transgression.” I said. I switched back to team channel Ok girls No mercy Misty how's our injured?” I asked.

“There gone ma’am Sharp took one to the head Divenia drowned in her own blood from a punctured and collapsed lung.” Misty said.

“DAMN IT.” I said. “Oh that Is it.” I added. Switching my payload to Ap rounds I jumped out of cover and Fired Taking out 3 Steel Rangers before ducking back into cover I heard the Beta’s weapons firing seeing two more targets wink out.

“Storm Stealth Up I want that bitch Alive Disarm her and detain.” I said.

“Yes ma’am.” Storm said The other were dispatched quickly the Leader of the squad was the only one left. And she was staring down the barrels of Storms Nova Surge Rifles with her weapons damaged.

I walked towards the mare “Stand down Captain I said over the intercom. I warned you that this would happen but you didn’t listen Stupid mare thinks because she has the Power Armor that she can take on a special forces team and come out on top. News flash bitch You have one Pissed off Special Forces General In your face.” I said.

You assaulted a special forces team Killed two members of my unit You only faced Two of us today. You could have very well faced the rest of us. You killed two. You lost your squad do the math. You only faced Myself and my captain. You didn’t face my Medical officer or my gunnery sergeant Speaking of which. Sergeant Sparks.” I said.

“See to this disgrace here make sure she’s not able to move. For a bit.” I said.

Moon Lily followed me We entered alpha And I quickly pulled Lily into a hug. I could feel her return the hug tightly she was in her armor but i now she’s crying. “Are you going to be alright Lily?” I asked and added “Be honest with me.”

“Yes Ma’am I will be alright with time I lost two of my friends we been through Alot together We all new this could happen that one of us would be killed but for me to lose both so quickly after finding our purpose again They were proud to have been given this opportunity and I will not dishonor their memory by moping around General.” Moon Lily said I noded.

With a Nod we left alpha I walked over to beta and stepped in to see Daisy looking at the Systems on the Beta. “You doing ok Daisy?” I asked her.

“Daisy If you were in her place and you heard something that to your knowledge was impossible would you believe me?” I asked.

“Probably not but still To assault heavily armed Personnel with Two armored support that was just plain stupid.”

I couldn’t help but laugh. “Yes it was Stupid and I even called her stupid.” I want to collect the Steel Ranger Armor and Place it in the beta you have any problems looking them over?” I asked getting a shack of Daisy’s head. “No Cj I have no problems looking it over.” She replied.

“Another thing we will need to be there for Moon Lily she just lost her two best friends.” I said getting a nod from her.

I stepped out and trotted to Storm. “How’s Lily doing?” Storm asked.

Misty returned with the marked box I requested. Once the armor was removed Misty moved in and injected her with a dose of the truth agent. Moon Lily had her pinned while it was being injected and kept her pinned.

“Following a report of a hub that wasn’t luted or picked clean by scavengers it turned out to be a false report.” She replied.

“MAW hub building was stripped nothing but husks of destroyed security droids.” She said.

“What is the procedure your to follow should you locate a closed and populated stable?”

“Secure by any means necessary without damaging virtual systems.” She said.

“Is that against the oath sworn by the Steel Rangers?” I asked.

“No!” She replied which shocked me.

“What about the information you have obtained from our encounter?”

“Lies and slander no way you could possibly know anything you claim to.” She replied.

“Are you aware of Authorizations codes?” I asked

Picking the mare up I moved her into a safe location had Misty hit her again with her effective short term paralysis spell and placed her in her Armor.

“I want you to inform your Elder that General Cloud Striker of the Equestrian Special Forces is not a mare to mess with. You and your team didn’t last but a moment against me and my team. I also want you to share with them the information I uploaded in your systems it is encrypted so it can not be deleted.” I said.

“I will pass it along altho you will not live long once she hears that you killed her rangers and that there was a traitor in your ranks.” She replied

Misty and Daisy took up the harnesses for the Tortoises I did put a delay on her EFS system so she wouldn’t know where we are heading.

After we got out of her systems range We went in the proper direction to the MAW hub warehouse.

“Well we know the ground floor has been looted and stripped of valuable material at least to the rangers. Any of the droids could be used as scrap. If we find the Underground Warehouse intact and not breached we will get what we came for. If there is room we can scavenge the droids to be recycled.” I said getting nods from everypony.

When we arrived at our destination the upper buildings were intact to an extent. We entered the correct building to reach the underground facility. My marker was showing me where to go so I followed it to the hidden entrance there was a small reader eye that would not have been noticed if not for the scanned my armor. I pulled out my Key Card allowed it to scan it. The wall slid open revealing a cargo lift positioning the Tortoises and supply wagon on the lift the wall closed and we began to go down.

“Alright let’s keep eyes and ears open let’s take a moment after we enter the underground warehouse to see what is all here see if you can find a manifest Storm we will work in teams of two Moon Lily you're with Storm I’ll stay back with the Tortoises and supply wagon after gaining access to the facility. “I want you two to guard the Tortoises on the lift. And is there a manifest available for what is currently stored in the warehouse?” I asked

“Yes Ma’am access terminal to the left for manifest and orders understood.” The Sentinel said as it took up guard as we moved into the warehouse proper.

“Ok guess we have a mystery here we stick together on this Get the manifest and a floor map of the warehouse locate this chamber and we will go from there.” I said getting nods from everypony.

I’m heading there next to do that. Anyway you're probably wondering about what is going on here why you were given clues and hints to come here to this warehouse well for that I’ll have to give you the pass phrase only you and I know.” The terminal paused message for earbloom to be connected. I connected and heard the phrase “Cloudy Joy and Rainbow Dash B.F.F. Forever.” I pulled the buds out and the message continued. “You will find the Stasis chamber through the double doors to the right of this terminal there should be 20 personnel there trained and will be valuable assets for your use in your mission. I wish this never happened Cloudy Joy where did it all go wrong? Why did this have to happen? I saved this group for you I know you will have doubts once you see them but trust me. When I say they are as loyal to me and now you as I am to Equestria. “I’m Eva changeling Queen of the MAW special operations and espinosa and counter espinosa branch. I am a training officer for intelligence and special forces.” Eva said.

“Special Forces huh tell me Eva why would I believe a single word you say?” I asked.
“Ma’am You might want to look at this.” Storm said at the terminal.

“What is it?” I said as I walked over to Storm to see what she found On the Terminal was complete dossiers on the individuals in the pods Eva’s was up also showing her Disguised forms for earth, pegasus and Unicorn. I looked them over then back at Eva.

“Ok so you knew me before this moment isn’t that right teach?” I asked getting a nod of her head.

“Yes Cloudy Joy I did indeed know I would be seeing you again after Rainbow said you were going to be coming We all went into the pods knowing we would be taking orders from you as the highest ranking military officer and member of the MAW Special operations. I have a duty to perform Rainbow also said you might want something from me to insure that I am under your command.” She reached in and pulled a chip and handed it to me. I placed it so it could be read complete transfer orders for Eva and 19 others to my command effective immediately. “I am under your command Ma’am have been the moment I went into that Pod.” She said.

“Alright then I want your word and oath on the memory of my dear friend and oaths you swore to her as the ministry mare that you or anypony under you will not betray me or Equestria.” I said.

“I so Swear it Under the penalty of death to my hive I make this solemn vow I will not Betray your trust or the secrets you wish kept I will not betray Equestria You have a mission to complete we are your assistance you probably need intelligence means and or have need of trainers we are yours to command.” Eva said.

“Ok Eva I accept your vow and has been so logged I need to know how your plan to keep fed the 18 changelings besides yourself feed?” I asked.

I know you would have a hard time finding enough out there to keep you sated. Hell I have a hard time even being out there oh there is hope but Fillydelphia is Slaver territory and we lost two of our own to steel rangers who ambushed them for the damn gear they were wearing. So again how do you plan to keep your children and yourself feed the five of us could not sustain 19 changelings.” I said and asked.

Eva was lookin a little worried, “If our supplies survived we will not have to worry about that for awhile.” Eva said walking over to a wall hitting a switch to reveal 3 rather large crystal gems that were glowing with a warmth that couldn’t be explained and 4 rows of smaller crystals gems.

“What are those?” I asked.

“Well the term we use are love crystals there a gemstone that has been enhanced to store love any changeling can feed off of these gems for weeks if not years the big ones are the hive gemstones known as the heart stone. It is never dark should it be dark it means the hive is lost It took us 6 years to acquire the love that fills these gemstones all love in her was freely given to us. We acquired so much that we needed two more heart stones.” Eva explained.

“We had a lot of resistance to our being there We proved ourselves by putting an end to infiltrations of other changelings even helped gather intel on the zebra tactics. We provided the zebra infiltration tactics and martial arts books information. So long as the 3 heart stones stay lit we shall be fine.” Eva said getting a nod from me.

“For now assist Captain Storm Wing on taking Inventory cross checking with warehouse manifest and prepare to move out we are in a battle zone between Redeye Slavers and Steel Ranger’s. We also have potential enemies in the forms of Alicorns from what I understand there allies of Redeye a pony who works for the so called Goddess that the Alicorns come from so they work with him there smart and learn from each encounter even if none survive the encounter. We also have the Grand Pegasi Enclave but not much is known of them what we do know is this they think they're better than us down here that they have the ultimate right to survive they have been gathering intel ever now and then on the happenings down here. Also there are ponies unlucky enough to not die from the results of the megaspells known as ghouls there like any other pony sept they look dead and decayed there are farul versions of the ghouls that have lost their minds and will just attack without provocation. As soon as a complete inventory has been acquired we will pack up and move out I want eight of you to Stand guard with the Sentinels by the two Tortoises and a supply wagon. We will figure out how to proceed after the inventory has been checked and confirmed with manifest.” I said and getting 19 salutes I returned them.

It also has a hagar and repair bay for Raptors and Thunderheads and is able provided we have the material to even build them we have one prototypeRaptor a dragon killer classification that has a prototype stealth system that is fully operational we just do not have the personnel to operate it. This information is classified top secret the base in question has a operational capacity of 1000 personnel you were being trained for this base to support and help operate the base with your ponies we have the skeleton crew requirements to operate the raptor which is a great boon to me. Now we have a means to transport large amounts of supplies to ponies settlements around the wasteland as it is referred to looks it too THe badlands is the closest Reference I can give you to how Equestria now looks.” I said Eva’s eyes widen and start to tear.

“That right there is the Look I had when I left the base after waking up the first ponies I ran into were Daisy and Misty they operated a trade caravan doing runs all the way to Tenpony tower In Manehattan which is what the MAS hub is being called. Daisy lost her husband in an ambush we rescued them from Misty lost her fellow guards ponies who were hired to assist In protecting the caravan from raiders and slavers as well as other sorted creatures that make home in the wasteland.” I added.

“Is there a chance for Equestria to recover Ma’am?” Eva asked.

“Yes!” I said firmly. “That was the one reason the base was made a stable why it has the equipment it has we can restore or rebuild Equestrias infrastructure. If we can get the cloud cover gone we can even help the land recover so we can use the countless seeds we have in the base to make Equestria green again. I want to make that happen but First and foremost I need information The base can not fall into the hooves of somepony like Redeye or The steel ranger elders who would see it as the property of the MWT and confiscate everything and use it as a base of operations or worse yet for there own goals the hydroponic level 1 can support a million ponies level 2 is a medical garden for lack of better terms and is growing everything needed in medicines and medical healing potions tinctures and poultices. The base has Schools Education and learning centers on every subject of pony society. Has a full blown Medical hospital as well as having a combat training course with combat drones It is also Heavily guarded by over 20 Ultra Sentinels over 200 internal automated defense turrets. And don’t forget the internal Security Droids. I requested and was approved this level of defenses because of how important this base would be to Equestria We have automated Maintenance droids as well as droids working the Hydroponic gardens canning stock piling 17 years of fresh grown healthy foods and medical supplies so ask yourself Eva. Do you think I was over reacting when I requested the kind of Defenses with the information you now know of?” I asked Her eyes grew hard and she replied with a. “NO Ma’am You did not If I was in your hooves I would have done the same thing maybe even more.”

“Good because that is what I need right there a Pony who understands the reasons behind my security I requested it Princess Luna approved it. So we need to gather information I need at least 5 of your ponies Constantly going through the reports that have been Piling up in the CC since we got the communications and intel sweets backup and running. Team sizes consist of 6 ponies So one of your ponies will be with me. You on the other Hoof will be left in charge at the base when we are out in the field No unauthorized ponies are allowed in the base the base is under a high concealment illusion shield. And will not be revealed until the right time We need ponies Eva and a lot of them to bring the base to full operating capacity. Not just so we can use its full capability but so we can properly defend it when we do reveal its location. You are a great boost to my moral. Six ponies will also form Beta group there tortoise is here with us they will be protecting caravans/convoys that may come to collect trade goods and do business with us. “I do not know how she managed it Ma’am but we have 250 Steel Ranger armors our units colors not only that but 10 of them are for Unicorns. We have more supplies of ammunition and weapons here to outfit the entire base thrice over and have spares. There is enough here ma’am to completely outfit Tenpony with the best weapons and equipment. I am worried though With everything we have here that is of vital use to the base we don't have the means to transport it all If we wish to move our personnel safely to the base and the equipment and armors.” Storm reported my jaw dropped. “Damn it Rainbow If i had only known of this We could of brought the damn raptor we would have not lost ponies.” I said sighing heavily,

Eva cleared her throat. “Might I make a suggestion Ma’am?” Eva said.

“I am always open for suggestions Eva.” I said in response.

“The Warehouse does have its own supply transport that should be able to carry everything on the inventory manifest might take both transports but it is an option.” Eva said getting my ears to perk up.

“What kind of transports?” I asked.

“There the Raptors little brother ma’am.” Eva said.
“Storm Wing Go check them out make sure there operational take a few of the engineer ponies with you check them out if there operational I want them loaded and ready for launch They have a crew compliment of 20 and were retired from active service except for supply runs that can be operated effectively with a crew of 10.” I said to Storm who rushed off to check. “Are they armed?” I asked Eva who just nodded.

“Daisy find Storm assist her also tell her to make sure that the weapon systems are operational as well been informed there armed.” I said getting an affirmative.

“You have no Idea how much that will make gathering supplies will be not to mention getting back to base with all the equipment. Though we might very well have a fight on our hooves if the enclave finds out about them. They have all the raptors and Support craft and Thunderheads that survived the war from what I’ve gathered from talking to a dashit and former captain of the enclave.” I said.

“Ma’am we will do what must be done to get through.” Eva said.

Misty can galloping to us she slid to a stop. “Ma’am The Captain asked me to get you from what I understand she said you need to see this.” Misty said.

I looked a Eva then back to Misty. “Lead on Sergeant.”

At a trot Misty led us to what could be the underground loading docks was a massive hangar like structure with doors at the top to allow vertical take off but that wasn’t what Storm wanted me to see Oh no it was the Two ships that Eva mentioned. My jaw again hit the floor.

“No bucking way you sligh beautiful mare If you were here now I would kiss you.” I whispered as a prayer of thanks to Rainbow.

“Yes Ma’am I would to these are equipped with the stealth tech of the prototype back home only different they run off stealth buck array that is topped off we should have no trouble sneaking out of here the ships are being gone over with a fine hoof checking systems and the weapons Cj we now have a means of transporting a lot of cargo not to mention the base can outfit these ships with an upgraded stealth system. We have everything we need to do it right bucking here the ships are loaded with room for everything we will take including the Tortoises and wagon we will need to split up to properly crew the ships but other than that we have two supply ships we can operate with little to no worries.” Storm Said.

I walked over to the dock terminal I brought it up and inputed my ID code another message popped up.

“Hey CJ I guess by now you found them hehe bet your first reaction was a jaw drop and No bucking way response probably would be wanting to kiss me too eh. Anyway these have been here for some time pretty much since Luna began crating up the MAW and were reported lost I’m sure by now you been told what they're equipped with and are halling yes they were slated to go to your base matter of fact they were about to be loaded when I got here you met the ponies who were going to be bringing them to you at the base that is of course Eva our changeling Queen This facility may not be like your base so I put had vacuum sealed a bunch of spare parts for repairs hopefully the ships have faired well I have no clue how long it would be before you got here I hope things will be alright for you. “Storm check around The supplies and the ships were a shock in of themselves I would not want to leave any more toys behind Take Moon Lily with you.” I said getting a nod in agreement,

Half an hour later the ships were loaded everything was checked nothing was gained by the additional search even the sentinels were loaded onto the ships I tied the dock doors in with my pipbuck so I can close and open the doors when we were clear of them.
I activated ship to ship. “Storm how are things over there?” I asked.

“We are all green Ma’am engine start up in 5..4..3..2..1.” I heard the raptor Storm was on startup. It was music to my ears.

“Start the engines.” I ordered. My raptors engines started up and I was thrilled I activated the Dock doors so we can get the buck out of here.

Storm took her raptor through the doors and we soon joined hers on the surface. I closed the dock doors. Still on Ship to Ship. “Activate the stealth arrays gain altitude and set course for HQ all best possible speed.” I said giving the position of the base. The raptors were operating flawlessly as was intended we made the outskirts of Filly in less time than we did getting here eta to base was two hours.

“Eva How are your supplies holding up?” I asked.

“Very well each one of my ponies has a love crystal we have plenty more I could even assist with personnel if need be but would require a stallion to help I would estimate about 4-6 months I could have enough changelings to provide crew not only for these two but the one at base. But I would need to find a Stallion in order to do so.” She said.

“Hmm. I’ll keep it under advisement at the moment The only personnel I have are mares that would include you and your kin unless not everyone of them is a mare.” I said.

“Oh General we are both mare and stallion in gender in fact the one that answered your question about loading was a stallion.” Eva answered.

“Ok when in disguise I would like you to remain the genders you are born with undisguised changelings look too much alike can’t tell the differences between the genders except for you.” I said getting a giggle from Eva.

“Duly noted Ma’am it will be done.” She said

An hour into the flight Storm reported that the stealth array on her ship was working at 50%

I requested a status report on the stealth array of my ship getting the same report. “Ok so they stealth buck arrays for these ships have roughly a two hour life before needing to be replaced. Yeah we will need to replace outfit these ships with the prototype when we have the chance to start the process.” I said to Storm getting a nod of agreement.

We made it back to base I opening the hangar doors as we pass through the shield our stealth arrays failed I quickly signaled our Id tags marking the ships as friendly we quickly docked the ships in the hangar’s refit and repair bays Sent a signal to have maintenance go over the new ships and repair all systems and prepare ships for to be refitted with the new stealth system that was never installed on these ships. We had helper droids taking things to where they belonged the armors went to the armory confiscated Steel Ranger armors went to the Repair and diagnostics bay all other equipment was stored where it went droids swarmed the raptors replacing hall armor when needed and applying the color patterns of the base and unit of military mainly the MAW Special forces.

I had Eva gather her ponies.

“Ok everypony listen up for I shall say this only once. From this point on your not to discuss or disclose the location of this base or that it even exists. From this moment on you're not regular members of the MAW you're now Special Forces of the Equestrian Airguard. We are a MAW black ops group working under the Airguard hence our emblem and color scheme We are MoA do not forget that but we have a mission to help Equestria recover Most of you if not all have seen what has happened to our beloved Equestria. This base can support over a million ponies in food and medical supplies for hundreds of years if need be but also has means to rebuild the shattered infrastructure of Equestria. We have schools education centers for all manner of society of Equestria. We are able to gather intelligence by tapping into pretty much any radio broadcast Your Queen will be picking 5 of you to join her in shifting through the reports and com traffic we have been getting since the the sweets were repaired. Other duties will be assigned accordingly to your skills and knowledge. One of you will be assigned to Alpha team. 6 of you will be making up Beta team I will be looking through the lists of your skills training will be held to determine the best possible pony for team lead of beta. The team will not have much assignments at this time except guarding the base along with the security system and of course Training. I want you all to at least hit the train rooms combat training medical training I want at least 3 of yeah to have medical training The Chief Medical Officer. For this base is Sergeant Misty Sparks. Anypony going into medical will be under her authority. Do not disappoint her she can be very how to put it.” Misty interrupted with Grumpy. “Well I guess we will go with that. As for others Know the senior staff of this base I am the General of the base In order it Goes Me the Captain Storm Wing. Gunnery Sergeant Daisy Streaks Sergeant Misty Sparks then Eva She’s in charge of all of you as is meant to be. She reports directly to me and the captain. We are always approachable should you need somepony to talk to. Welcome to the Family of MAW base 155 Special Forces and recovery base Report to the Senior officer in charge of the section you wish to work in Gunny is in charge of Armory and Armory bay Captain Storm Wing and I will select one of you to be in alpha team we will then select the Power Armor type you will be using while deployed upon that choice you will determine the type of disguise you will use Dismissed.” I said.

The changelings went to the senior officer to get started. There were three changelings in front of Misty. 6 In front of Daisy and the rest standing not sure where to go.

“Oh one more thing Everypony Follow Captain Storm Wing to be outfitted with your personnel pipbuck without it you will not have access to sections of the base they will contain your ID tag for the base mainframe systems with your rank and access authorization. We will be checking everything I have already Loaded the Dossiers of your files into the computer So each of you will need after acquiring your pipbuck to go into the disguises with in your file so the system can match Tags with Profiles.” I said.

Every changeling including Eva went with Storm to the equipment bay. I followed to see how this would go. I set the terminal system to take profile Id match to tag told base system to take a fore profile ID check with data transferred of the new recruits computer system confirmed.

After everypony had there pipbucks activated Starting with Eva I did the Id verification. Matching Profile pics with Pipbuck tag.

“Ok Eva we will start with you. Step up and go into your Unicorn Disguise then after you hear the beep go to your pegasus then earth pony respectively after each beep.” I said getting a nod from her.

The process for 19 changelings took an hour but it was worth it in the long run the base system asked each one for speak in each disguise for voice recognition. The pipbucks worked even with their disguises there display status screen would display the disguised changelings tribe if the changeling was a Earth pony that's what the status screen would depict an earth pony mare or stallion. There was three stallions amongst the changelings

“Eva I was looking at your file and assignments you performed. It told me you received training from the MAS what was that training doesn't tell me?” I asked her.

“Oh well I was trained in enchantments. I went undercover within Ironshod firearms and learned the enchantments for the weapons like the ones on your sniper and gatling mainly that was to uncover who tried to kill Applejack. No pony at Ironshod was behind it. I went to each and every one of her ministry funded organizations except Four Stars. My mission wasn’t successful. To say the least.” Eva said.

“Thank Luna and Celestia.” I said getting an odd look from Eva.

“One of the members of my team killed in the ambush was an enchanter she was going to start learning the rest of the enchantments when we returned. On our trip there we had her enchant quite a few of our rounds when we learned of it helped us punch a holes through alicorn shields when we encountered some. That went hostile real quick Her death was a blow to us all.” I said.

Eva nodded. “If you have the right gems I can begin enchanting them for the functions you wish.” Eva said.

“That would be great We have gems a lot of them it to repair equipment and so on talismans of targeting for security systems and the likes We need to get quite a few water talismans made so we can offer them up to settlements that do not have access to clean water but have a purifier. There are quite a few settlements that could use one would be nice to be able to offer up something besides food stuffs or ammunition.” I said.

I motioned for her to follow me she did and I went to the Command Center. “Welcome the heart of the base the CC this is where all our data comes to and the communications system and sensor sweets are.” I said watching Eva’s Eye go wide at all the large monitoring screens showing information.

“This is where you and 5 others will be monitoring the broadcasts of everything Enclave transmissions have been flagged as priority one also Anything dealing with the Steel Rangers is also flagged we have a few ponies we trust helping us One of them is Ditzy Doo the author of the survival guide she runs a shop called absolutely everything. Trying to see if she will be willing to be our liaison with the traders so we do not have to reveal the base to anypony just yet. The other is the Dj Pon 3 out of Tenpony He does news reports for the wasteland as well as brings music to them Dj Pon 3’s assistant Homage is our contact for him. Our main source of info though is the SPP towers observation eyes and the information that they can collect. This is the primary thing I wish you to be doing catch up on the intel we gather organize it and flag things for my review anything that you hear about ground based ops from Enclave I want to know about it asap those will be flagged Celestia tier priority.” I said getting nod from Eva.

“Anything else Ma’am?” Eva asked.

“Yes can changelings and ponies crossbreed?” I asked?

Eva paused. “Depends on why you wish to know ma’am.” Eve replied.

“Very well Moon Lily our Thestral corporal is entering her estrus. I wouldn’t be opposed to her finding relief from it should she choose to I just want to know if she could get pregnant from such an encounter with one of the stallions of your kind.” I said.

“Ah the answer is yes we are compatible but it’s not likely mainly for reasons I on the other hoof could end up with foal easily should I choose to by taking a stallion to bed We are fertil all the time I am able to have up to 20 foal at one time My daughters in a way are only able to have 5 at a time should they become pregnant. “No your right Daisy It’s great for to be able to take out a lot of enemies but I just do not like the Idea of it in the long run especially if we get into enclosed spaces. Plus I’m a medical officer my shotguns are great but even in enclosed spaces I would need to be careful where and when I fire there great for crowd control in a since I would like to have something that would be easy similar to the rifle you gave me ma’am but maybe a semi auto assault carbine I maybe a medical pony, but that doesn’t mean I will not assist my teammates in a firefight.” Misty said.

“Ok Misty I have 4 weapons here. Each are semi auto like your shotguns Two of them can go full auto but have burst functions like your shotguns the other two have single round and three round burst. Two are .308 caliber rifles and Two are .45 caliber. Rifles each can use the full range of ammunition of its calibers from the Standard rounds to the incendiary rounds even enchanted rounds should we get them. So you have a choice based off of what you were talking about these would best fit the descriptions. The .45 cal are the ones with signal to three round burst there all assault carbines.” I said. “Oh and Daisy get her armors targeting systems calibrated knowing things could have been thrown out of whack with the absence of the grenade. I want her combat ready and affective. Should we have combat Plus it would be good to have more conventional weapons and less splash damage going around. “Get use to the armor Misty we will be in our armors a lot when in the field. Nice thing is we you will not be so hot the armors climate controlled or should be anyway.” I said.

“Oh it is Ma’am.” Daisy said finishing the final connections. Misty getting the weapon info mode of fire and ammunition type.

“Alright I’m all equipped now for the ammunition. I feel strangely Naked without ammo.” Misty
said.

“Anyway yes Ammunition would be great then we can put armor into diagnostics and calibration mode to calibrate the targeting systems as well as test its swapping ammo types and functions of the guns.” Daisy said getting a nod of agreement.

“Alright girls have a goodnight don’t stay up too late we have to outfit 9 armors of each power armor type tomorrow morning for our new recruits Eva will have her own choice of which one she would like to use.” I said getting goodnights from both of them.

I finally make it to my room did my bedtime routine Checked my armor and laid down sighing in relief as my head rested on my fluffy pillow and fell asleep.
