"Twilight Sparkle." King Void licked his lips with his forked tongue. Each of the points were sharper than they looked, and had golden tips. "Such an extraordinary creature, yet one who fails to live up to her true potential."

"King Void...?" Twilight's breathing became incredibly heavy. Just looking at King Void was making her uneasy. She was shaking all over and slowly stepped back towards the doors of Town Hall.

"So this is our bad guy, is it?" Rainbow Dash cracked her hooves and flew towards him. "Well let's see how he gets a taste of this!"

King Void merely grabbed Rainbow Dash by the head seconds before she could ram him, and began to squeeze her tightly, causing something around her skull to begin to break. Once he heard the slightest bit of a rupture, he threw the pegasus back to her friends, watching as she rolled on the ground like a ragdoll.

"Kin. Gin." King Void turned towards the two of them. "Shall we begin our little experiment?"

"Experiment?" Both of them chimed and had their eyes fly wide open.

King Void smirked and flung his arm out towards the eight ponies, coating them in black energy. His attack struck all of them and blew them back into the wall of Town Hall, leaving a little black spot in all of their irises. The spots turned into fires that began to flicker and vanish as the girls all fell to the ground.

"Whatever you did to Twilight, I demand that you un-do it right now!" Whisper barked at King Void. "Don't you know how rude it is to strike someone with darkness? Why, the poor thing could be attending a prom or going to see a friend and you're just going to leave them with—"

"SILENCE!" King Void slashed Whisper in half with his sword, turning him into a blue wisp. He then blew him out, forcing him to return to the Yo-kai World. "Irritating little ghost. You shame the Yo-kai name."

"Pay no attention to Whisper, my king." Kin nodded. "He is nothing more than a cartoon ghost created by children. He poses zero threat to your kind."

"If anything, he just serves as comic relief for this would-be heroine over there." Gin crossed her arms.

"What... did you do?" Twilight slowly got back up to her feet, her vision blurred as she looked at King Void.

"In every living being, there exists two principal elements." King Void put his sword into the earth and stepped towards Twilight. "Light, which you feeble little horses seem to wretch with great power; and darkness, the polar opposite of your true self." He put one of his nails to her chin and gently forced it up. "Yo-kai are the same. There is good in every Yo-kai, but at the same time, there also exists evil. Such is their nature. No matter their tribe, no matter their purpose, their two sides are optional."

"So, what? You're saying that you're a Yo-kai that went evil?" Rainbow Dash struggled to get back up as she gnashed her teeth. "Then we should put you down right now!"

"I never said anything about being evil, rainbow-maned twerp." He put Twilight down and got in Rainbow Dash's face, causing her eyes to go wide. "I am darkness. Nothing else. Whether I am good or evil is entirely down to your personal opinion."

"You look like if Lord Tirek decided to become a human-like demon with a sword and even uglier breath!" Pinkie called out.

"ENOUGH!" King Void made a claw out of his hand, causing darkness to appear around Pinkie Pie's face. With a flick of his wrist, her mouth had been completely removed. "Arrogant babies like you should respect your elders. So, until you acknowledge the darkness within yourself, you. Do. Not. Get. To. TALK!" He roared.

"Calm down, King Void." Kin landed on his shoulders. "You only just introduced yourself to them. No need to fly off the handle now, is there?"

"Yeah. Like all great stories, the villain shows off his true rage and power in the final battle, not in their first encounter." Gin landed on the other shoulder. "Traumatize and demoralize Twilight and her friends. That will sustain your hunger for pain and suffering long enough. Then, when they thwart your plans, you completely destroy them once and for all."

"Thwart? I appreciate you giving them souls for me to crush, Kin and Gin, but I do not need your help to decide how I treat my victims." He brushed both of the witches off of his body and went back towards Twilight. "Let me make this perfectly clear, Twilight Sparkle. This is not your average children's show story. There will NOT be a happy ending for you or your kind. If you dare to stop my plans, I will drive that sword straight through your heart and leave your rotting entrails to the buzzards!"

As Twilight tried to get back up and strike King Void with a spell, she was suddenly stopped by an abnormal pain in her chest and a supersonic ringing in her ears. She yelped and clutched her stomach, falling down to the ground and writhing, as the sound of herself laughing like a monster filled her ears. "I'll ask again. What. Did. You. Do?!"

"There will be time for that later, Princess Twilight." He returned to his sword and unearthed it once more, pointing the tip at Twilight and her friends. "But for now, let's see if you can actually try to stand on your own two feet for once!"

"Battle Perimiters Met... Summoning Yo-kai!" Twilight pulled out more Yo-kai Medals and slammed them into her Yo-kai Watch EX, causing more Yo-kai fighters to appear before her.

"Darumacho!"

"Ray O' Light!"

"Drizzelda!"

"Rhyth!"

"Buchinyan!"

"Gargaros!"

"Face me, mortals!" King Void slammed his chest and swung his sword at all of the Yo-kai, sending a black wave of energy towards the building, demolishing it in one strike. He then yelled and dashed towards Twilight and her friends, only to be stopped by a swing from Gargaros's club.

"I've been long waiting for the day I get to put an end to you, and save the Yo-kai World, King Void!" Gargaros yelled and struck King Void across the face with the side of his club. Despite his swing speed and power, his attack was still stopped by King Void's sword.

"An Oni, eh?" King Void chuckled. "This just got interesting!" He unfurled his wings and swooped down on Gargaros, dealing a blindingly fast vertical strike to the Yo-kai. Not only did it go straight from his horn to his head, but black lightning also crashed down around Gargaros, giving him little room to run away.

"Such raw power..." Gargaros said as he was knocked back a few feet, into the rubble of Town Hall, sending the ponies flying in different directions.

"You cannot win this battle alone. I shall assist!" Venoct darted around King Void, leapt up to his face, and had Orochi bite into his eyes, causing him to recoil and put his hand over his face. "Orochi! Go!" He jabbed towards the staggering King Void and closed the gap immediately.

"Don't have all of the fun, Venoct." Kyubi flew into the air and launched fireballs down onto King Void's back. "I've been wanting to give this guy a piece of my mind for quite some time now." She flew down and struck King Void in the back as hard as she could with her ninetails and clawed feet.

"Begone!" King Void raised his sword high and drew a circle. Instantly, a black hole appeared above him, dragging both Venoct and Kyubi into it. "Worthless Yo-kai scum. Die!" He swung his sword at thin air and watched both Venoct and Kyubi fall back out before kicking them both towards Twilight and her friends.

"If those foolish Yo-kai are going to assist Twilight, then we're going to aid King Void!" Kin flew up with Gin by her side.

"You won't live to fight another day!" Gin added as the two of them swooped down on the ponies.

"Girls! Get out of here!" Twilight stood back up and galloped towards her Yo-kai team. "It's too dangerous!"

"No, Twilight! We're not going to leave you behind!" Rarity ran towards the Yo-kai as well. "If anything, this could very well be our last stand. And if it's so, then we shall go out with bravado and glam, instead of sobbing and wailing over the loss of our friend!"

"You speak such bravery, but do you have the power to back it up?" Kin threw her arms down, causing huge rocks to appear above the heads of Twilight's friends. With another swing, the stones fell towards the girls' heads, but Twilight used her magic to grab the rocks and throw them away.

"Try this!" Gin brushed the air with a swing of her arm, sending a small blizzard toward Twilight and her friends. The snow crashed against them and turned into small needles of ice that dug themselves into the ponies' flesh.

Twilight simply unfurled her wings, unfazed by the cold winds launched by Gin's hand. She flapped up to the two Time Witches and fired spells from her horn at them in desperation, only for them to duck and weave out of the way of them. Despite their agility, this gave Twilight's Yo-kai friends an opportunity to attack. She continued to shoot off more bolts, purposely missing at times to bait Kin and Gin into moving.

With less of Kin and Gin's elemental attacks to deal with, Buchinyan leapt up towards the two of them and lit both of his paws red. "FLURRY OF FURRY!" He declared, jabbing the two Yo-kai as fast as he could, causing them to stumble and jitter around in the air.

"Farewell!" King Void slashed at the air, striking Twilight across the stomach with the shockwave, knocking her to the ground. He watched the alicorn crash down into the ground before dashing off to where he thought she would land.

"Twilight!" Venoct and Kyubi flew after Twilight as fast as they could, trying to catch her as she fell. Little did they know that King Void was right behind them both.

All three Yo-kai made it to the nearby pond, where Twilight crashed face-first into the water. Just as Venoct and Kyubi were about to pull Twilight out of the lake, King Void pushed both of them aside effortlessly and swung his sword vertically, parting the lake and splitting it into two.

"A fool of a princess, not even worthy of slaying." King Void stood over Twilight's limp body, pointing the tip of his sword at her face. "You dishonour your title and the very subjects you wish to protect. You have a LONG way to go if you're ever going to be worthy to fight me, Twilight Sparkle."

"Who... or whatever you are, you had better leave Equestria or else!" Twilight shouted up at him.

"Twilight!" Ray O' Light came charging in with the other Yo-kai that she had summoned. However, King Void knocked them all away with a thrust of his hand. Strong black winds poured out of them, blowing them all through multiple houses.

"Your Yo-kai are pathetic and you lie in tatters. The fabled chosen one that Ephemer has her eyes on is nothing more than a toddler learning how to walk and talk." King Void opened a huge black portal with a swing of his sword. "But at the very least, you will provide me with some entertainment. All jesters do." King Void walked through the portal as Kin and Gin flew through it. "Lash. She's all yours. Have fun with her."

"Oh, I will." Another voice just as distorted as King Void's one spoke through the portal as he vanished.

As Twilight climbed out of the lake, it reformed into one giant body of water, soaking her with both sides as she looked at the portal, which still retained after King Void's departure.

"So, you're the lassie that the King wants crushing, eh?" A black Yo-kai with a massive black morningstar stepped through the portal. He was armoured on all of his limbs and had his tongue sticking out as he bared his fangs towards Twilight. He had a mohawk and a gold tooth, as well as a spiked tail poking out of his coccyx. "I'll eat you alive, I will. Some fish 'n' chips'll go nicely with your stinkin' corpse!"

"Who's this guy?!" Rainbow Dash flew over with the other girls. "And where's King Void, Kin, and Gin?"

"Those three are back home, watching from the sidelines. Said that Twilight was too weak of a pony for him to fight. Something about her being a fool or something." The Yo-kai slammed his morningstar into the ground, causing black spikes to erupt from the area around him. "He sent me, Lash, one of his twelve Dark Ones to deal with her instead. Prepare yourselves, you jammy foals! 'Cause Lash is here to stay!"
