Pinkie Pie was being attacked by a perfectly identical copy of herself in Sugarcube Corner. The clone had malicious green eyes and a wide smirk as it threw tables and chairs at her, causing them to shatter when they hit the wall. When it picked up a cupcake, cookie, or any other baked goods, it simply crushed them underneath its hooves and approached her.

"Somepony help me!" Pinkie bawled loudly. "It doesn't like any of my sugary treats!"

"Pinkie Pie!" Twilight burst through the door and landed on her hooves, readying her Yo-kai Watch. She looked at the clone of Pinkie and fired a beam of magic at it, turning it into a black mannequin with red eyes and a devilish smile. "Get away from her, you evil Yo-kai!"

"I am anyone and everyone. I ruin names at a moment's notice." The Yo-kai spoke in a robotic tone of voice. "I am Impersult. I shall become you!" And with a blast of black energy, he transformed into Twilight.

"Whoa..." Twilight's eyes shot wide open at the sight of Impersult's mimicry. "A Yo-kai that can shapeshift?"

"That didn't sound like the reaction I was expecting," Whisper said. "I though you would be like 'AGGH! Shape-shifting Yo-kai!'"

"Whisper, we have shape-shifting creatures on this planet too." Twilight stepped forward. "They're called Changelings, and unlike Yo-kai, they can be seen, are usually very unfriendly, and are commanded by the ruthless Queen Chrysalis." She opened the Medallium and pulled out a Yo-kai Medal. "I would be happy about this, but it's another black Yo-kai. I'm guessing that Miseraven's not the only one of these things."

"Do you think a new Yo-kai tribe arose while I was locked away?" Whisper raised a brow.

"If so, then we need to identify it and prepare for more." Twilight nodded. "Come on out, my friend! Calling Count Cavity!" Twilight threw the medal against the ceiling, catching it quicker than usual. "Yo-kai Medal, do your thing!"

"SUMMONING: SHADY!" The watch declared as dark blue energy danced to create Count Cavity.

Cosy, free banshee
Sing-song, Shady!

"Count Cavity!" He pointed his pitchfork towards the black Yo-kai.

"Impersonating." Impersult glared at Count Cavity, firing a red laser at his body. It didn't do any damage, but it began to scan him from head to toe like a machine would. "Data syphoned. Count Cavity guise complete." With the same blast, Impersult changed into the Yo-kai before him.

"Something tells me that this is gonna be a hard one..." Twilight rolled her eyes. "Count Cavity. Can you take this clone out?"

"Of course, Twilight." He banged the end of his pitchfork on the ground and twirled it around him. "Beware, foul Dark Yo-kai!"

"Dark Yo-kai?" Whisper and Twilight chorused.

"Yo-kai who have been lost to darkness, cannot be befriended, and only have the tendency to hurt, kill, destroy, and cause utter chaos." Count Cavity turned back and explained it to them. "A whole horde of them attacked the Yo-kai World recently. They were all following the orders of King Void.

"DID YOU JUST SAY KING VOID?!" Whisper jolted backwards.

"Destroy that Dark Yo-kai now!" Twilight yelled. "We can't let King Void threaten Equestria too!"

"Gladly!" Count Cavity charged in and jabbed at Impersult with his pitchfork. "Take this!"

"Block." Impersult's voice remained the same as he grabbed the pitchfork effortlessly. "I am everyone and everything. I become, I scan, I analyze, I DESTROY!" halfway through the sentence, his voice was modulated to sound identical to Count Cavity. "Now, DIE!"

Impersult used his own pitchfork to clash with Count Cavity's. The two of them were now locked in a battle, their weapons banging against each other and causing sparks to fly as they grinded against each other. They lunged at each other, trying to stab the other as best as they could, only to narrowly get out of the way in time.

"Dark Soultimate charging." Impersult took in black energy as Count Cavity got back on his feet. A few seconds later, he took in enough and leapt high into the air. "REPLACEMENT RAZE!" He declared, copying Count Cavity's Bacteria Barrage perfectly. He fired black ghosts with red eyes down on him, who dealt him great damage and cast an inspiriting flame.

"Gah." Count Cavity kneeled before Impersult after taking the blow. "There's no denying it. He's me in every way, shape, and form. Even gave me cavities too."

"These Dark Yo-kai are even stronger than I thought." Twilight waved her hoof over the bubble-dome of the Yo-kai Watch. "Maybe it's time we kick this up a notch."

"Yo-kai Watch EX, activate!" Twilight shouted and slammed her hoof down on the dome, causing the Yo-kai Watch to transform once again. Five more medal slots popped out before the watch face turned into the miniature computer screen once again. "Battle perimiters met! Summoning Yo-kai!" She took out five more medals and put them all into her watch.

"Darumacho!"

"Negatibuzz!"

"Dimmy!"

"Ray O' Light!"

"Drizzelda!"

Twilight retrieved the stylus from her watch and launched a pin on the screen at Impersult. "Team! Focus your attacks there!" She dragged Count Cavity into the backrow on the wheel and tapped the button to purify him. After wildly rubbing the screen with the inkless pen, she cured the Yo-kai and put him back into the fray.

"Ngghh... Too many Yo-kai to analyse! System failure imminent!" Impersult stumbled backwards and took on the guises of all six Yo-kai at once, turning him into a deformed monster made up of six individual parts.

"Eww... Guys, just drop him now." Twilight cringed and looked away at what Impersult had become.

The Yo-kai charged in and attacked the Dark Yo-kai all at once, causing its' guise to shatter instantly. The Yo-kai let out a distorted scream before disappearing the exact same way that Miseraven vanished.

"Thank you very much, Twilight and friends." Pinkie Pie pulled her head out of her hiding place and slowly walked out. "I thought that that meanie-bo-beanie Yo-kai Changeling would make me seem super-duper evil."

"It's not a Changeling, Pinkie Pie. It's a Dark Yo-kai." Twilight walked up to Pinkie and checked for scratches and cuts. "It's one of King Void's footsoldiers. He's already begun invading Equestria. We need to get the others together right now."

Pinkie Pie wiped her eyes clean and took a deep breath. Her breathing became shallow and her eyes were concealed by her hair, which now deflated. "Alright. I'll come." Her neck shot up with her eyes ablaze. "I need to kick that mean King Void's tushy straight back to whatever dark and gloomy hole he crawled out of after all of cakes that were LOST BECAUSE OF HIS STUPID YO-KAI!"

"Oh my. I've never seen Pinkie Pie that upset before." Whisper leaned in closer.

"Pinkie Pie gets awfully upset when cakes, pastries, and other such food get wasted." Twilight raised a hoof. "And whenever she gets upset, her mane gets straight and she becomes an entirely different pony. And I always get that slight nagging sensation that she's going to do something horrible to somepony when she's like that."

"WHERE IS HE?!" Pinkie roared and darted out of the building, leaving a stream of dust behind him.

"She's really fired up about this," Whisper whispered into Twilight's ears. "And Blazion's nowhere to be found."

"That's Pinkie Pie for you." Twilight looked over at him. "She's unpredictable, she's funny, and she's a great friend to be with. But even a happy-go-lucky pony like Pinkie Pie has her limits. And it's always the happy ones that usually have the biggest freakouts."

"Well, if that's true, then I certainly don't want to get on her bad side..." His eyes went wide as he and Twilight. "Let's hurry up and save our friends."

"GYAAA!" Rarity screamed as she dodged attacks from a Dark Yo-kai version of Dazzabel. The umbrella now had a spearhead poking out of the edge and shot out bolts of lightning every time the jab missed Rarity's flesh. "Get away from me, you... you brute!"

"All will bow down before King Void..." The Dark Yo-kai lunged in at Rarity once more, destroying a mannequin and the dress it was wearing. "The Yo-kai World has fallen, and soon, so will both of your worlds. They will all be his!"

"Rarity!" Twilight charged in with her Yo-kai Watch EX and entourage of Yo-kai behind her. "Team! Take her down!"

"Got it!" The six Yo-kai chorused and leapt into battle, knocking the Yo-kai into a pile of fabrics.

"Who dares to strike Dropdead?!" She flew out of the materials and flew towards Twilight and her friends. "Glamourous Gut Spill!" She rapidly struck forward with her umbrella, shooting lightning out in all directions.

"Twilight?! What's going on?" Rarity ran towards her, narrowly avoiding the battle between the Dark Yo-kai and Twilight's team. "What in the world happened to Dazzabel?"

"That's not the Dazzabel you became friends with." Twilight pointed out. "King Void has taken Yo-kai and made darker versions of them for his own personal army. This one is called Dropdead."

"Then whatever happened to Dazzabel?" Rarity pulled out the Yo-kai Medal she had received. "I do hope she's alright."

"You... You..." Dazzabel floated high above the battle, looking down at the copy of her, and all of the damage that it had done. "YOU CUR!" She dived in and impaled Dropdead clean through, causing her to disappear like the others.

"Oh my!" Rarity jumped at Dazzabel's courageous strike.

"There's no time to waste here, Twilight." Ray O' Light nodded. "Gather your friends and get them together. There's more on the way!"

"Rarity, Dazzabel. Follow us!" Twilight ran out of the door and into the town.

"Okay!" They both called out and panted as they ran after Twilight.

"Hey! Get outta here, you freak!" Rainbow Dash darted towards a Dark Yo-kai with a wide moustache, a cloud-like body, and an evil grin on his face. There was a wilted flower on the top of his head that had each of its' petals blown off by Rainbow Dash's attacks.

"King Void's darkness will envelop all of you. Rather lovely, isn't it?" The Yo-kai's smile grew longer. "And I, Cruéléon shall annihilate you in his name, ma cherie!"

"Stop with the Prench accent!" Rainbow Dash struck him square in the chest, but he simply bounced her back into more clouds.

"Rainbow Dash!" Twilight flew up with Count Cavity, who poked all three of his pitchfork's points into Cruéléon and spun it around. Sure enough, he compressed the Dark Yo-kai into a small ball of air, which he then incinerated by lighting his fork on fire.

"A Dark Yo-kai form of Happiérre." Whisper looked at Cruéléon's demise. "If King Void's taken every Yo-kai in existence, then he's either brave or stupid."

"Twilight? Whisper? What's with the creepy black cloud Yo-kai?" Rainbow Dash asked as she flew up to her, taking a moment to catch her breath from the battle she had just had.

"King Void's on the move. We need to get the girls together in Ponyville as soon as now," Twilight said. "It could be a Tirek-level crisis."

"Say no more!" Rainbow Dash flew down towards Ponyville to gather the rest of her friends. "We'll meet you at Town Hall, Twilight!"

"Tirek-level?" Whisper cocked a brow.

"It's just something I made up." Twilight, Whisper, and her Yo-kai team flew towards Town Hall themselves. "Tirek was the biggest threat Equestria ever had. I don't count Starlight Glimmer level because she's redeemed herself and has been performing much better now."

Twilight, Starlight Glimmer, Red Snow, and the other Main Six ponies were all gathered at Town Hall. Dark Yo-kai erupted from all directions and had all different shapes and sizes as they slowly staggered towards Twilight and her friends.

"Well, well, well. Isn't this a sight?"

"The Princess of Friendship destroyed by the very Yo-kai that she had thought to be her friends. How ironic."

"Who's there?! Show yourself!" Red Snow looked around for the sources of the voices.

"I demand you reveal yourselves right now! If you're behind this attack, then it's cowardly to hide away in the dark like this!" Twilight shouted all around her.

"Cowardly? You seem to have us entirely mistaken."

"We're not cowardly. We are simply following orders. Never let it be said that the two of us are unloyal to our leader."

All of a sudden, Kin and Gin appeared before Twilight Sparkle and her friends, casting them all wicked grins of their own as they threw their arms out, stopping the Dark Yo-kai's advance.

"Kin and Gin!" Whisper jabbed his finger at the two of them. "In Yo-kai history, these two are the nefarious Time Witches. They control the timeline and change things around effortlessly for their own selfish desires and purposes. They were once servants to the evil Dame Dedtime, you know."

"The nonsense with her is in the past, little marshmallow." Kin walked up to him. "Nowadays, we find comfort in the arms of our new leader, King Void."

"His will is unbreakable, his Yo-kai undefeatable, and his plan unstoppable," Gin added. "Plus, unlike her, King Void is a no-nonsense kind of guy."

"What?" Twilight whispered.

"Dedtime constantly said 'Dun, dun, DUUN!' when she was alive," Whisper told Twilight. "It got really annoying really fast."

"You two will answer for your crimes!" Red Snow readied her Yo-kai Watch and pulled out her Yo-kai Medal. "Yo-kai Medal! Set! On!" She put the medal into her watch.

"SUMMONING: CHARMING!"

Alarming!
Boom-boom! Walla-walla! Dance-dance
CHARMING!

"Sailornyan!" She landed before Red Snow.

"Miserable and pathetic, just like the rest of these foolish Yo-kai friends you have." Kin shook her head. "The Dark Yo-kai are beyond your comprehension, little mortals. They are far more destructive, far more diabolical, and are in all ways superior to the Wicked Yo-kai we used to control before."

"By capturing a Yo-kai's soul with our new powers, we can single handedly wipe out your entire miserable entourage!" Gin smiled. "Shall we, Kin?"

"I'm going to love seeing the misery that your Japonese friend is about to feel..." Kin flew up with Gin and used their own black lightning to generate a white and black vortex. With a claw thrust towards Sailornyan, black tethers shot out of the void and hooked onto all of her appendages.

"Gah! Hey! What's going on?!" Sailornyan was chained up and was being dragged towards the vortex.

"Sailornyan?!" Red Snow's eyes shot open.

"To destroy the light, you destroy the will. To destroy the will, you destroy the body." Kin and Gin chanted together in perfect harmony. "Such is the way of King Void. The light dies, and the darkness arises! Behold! A new Dark Yo-kai!"

With a bloodcurdling scream, Sailornyan was pulled into the vortex completely, vanishing without a trace.

"SAILORNYAN! NO!" Everyone cried out.

Immediately after the vortex disappeared, the Yo-kai Medal that Red Snow had for Sailornyan cracked and then shattered, with the pieces flying off in all different directions.

Red Snow herself could only let out a gasp and cover her mouth with her hooves as she watched the Yo-kai Medal of her best friend get destroyed and disappear right before her eyes. "No..."

All of a sudden, a black puddle formed, and a black paw climbed out. The very same Sailornyan that had just been stolen a moment ago was now entirely black and was glowing purple, along with the other Dark Yo-kai. She cast a sadistic grin on all of Twilight's friends.

"I... Am... Oblivinyan!" The Dark Yo-kai version of Sailornyan roared.

"Sailornyan! NO!" Red Snow exclaimed and buried her eyes into her hooves.

"This is not happening..." Twilight's legs began to tremble as she watched what had become of Sailornyan. "Kin and Gin just turned Sailornyan into a Dark Yo-kai..."

"THAT'S IT! THEY'RE GOING DOWN!" Rainbow Dash flew towards Kin and Gin at blinding speeds, but they simply stepped aside and caused her to fly into lots of Dark Yo-kai, who scratched at her and kicked her into the ground, proceeding to attack her.

"Such is the will of the darkness. It takes everyone in time." Kin grinned and landed back on the ground. "And soon, it will take the eight of you fools as well."

"There is nothing more to do except fight." Gin hovered down next to Kin and clicked her fingers, causing the Dark Yo-kai to twitch. "What little resistance you might have is brave. But against the King's army, it is useless."

"ATTACK!" Both Kin and Gin pointed at Twilight's friends, causing the Dark Yo-kai to charge in on them all, ready to fight.

Author's Notes:

On a slightly less horrifying note, I got Frostail today from the Crank-a-kai machine. It was going to be a plain white capsule, but Noko showed up and ate the capsule whole, saying his name before leaving behind a golden capsule.

By the way, the Ultimate Yo-kai of both Present and Past Springdale will be in this story, as you've probably guessed with Count Cavity's appearance. You'll see them all within due time.
