The sky turned red as Gargaros once more entered the darkened and lifeless Ponyville. Craning his neck skyward, he let out a thunderous roar and began patrolling the area with little Leadoni and Suspicioni by his side.

All of the Yo-kai that Twilight had befriended instantly disappeared, as did her wings and horn. Whisper and Jibanyan were still by her side, as was Sgt. Burly. She was able to move her body once more and tested out all of her legs. Once she was comfortable with her limited movement, she walked down the street, making sure to avoid being detected.

"Funny how Terror Time happens to pop in nowadays, isn't it?" Whisper remarked as he looked at the colourless houses and roads. "The second that you defeat Sgt. Burly, the world pits you against none other than the ruthless Gargaros."

"Yeah, but this time I don't have my wings and horn." Twilight glanced over to Whisper. "I beat Sgt. Burly because of my raw power alone, but with Gargaros, I'm limited to just my Yo-kai friends. For now, I think it's best that I just find the exit as quickly as possible and get the heck out of here."

"And what'll you do if Terror Time comes back?" Burly asked as he looked at all of the Leadoni and Suspicioni patrolling the streets. "You can't just keep running away from Gargaros forever. Eventually, you're just gonna have to suck it up and take the big guy on yourself."

"He doesn't mean any harm on anyone, Twilight, but Terror Time is more of a way to exercise himself for when he actually has to fight." Whisper explained. "More commonly, it's used for when little kids disobey their parents or stay up late at night munching on candy and failing to stay hygenic. However, for those wearing the Yo-kai Watch, it's just that little thing that happens every now and again."

"Not to mention that his later brothers, Ogralus and Orcanos are even worse than he is in both power and smell." Burly waved his hand in front of his nose. "If you can't beat Gargaros, then how are you gonna stand up to Ogralus, Orcanos, or King Void?"

"I suppose you do have a point..." Twilight scratched her chin. "But he's still as scary as Terror Time makes him out to be. He nearly killed me the last time I was here!"

"In Terror Time, you don't actually die in real life if you get caught by the Oni." Burly rubbed Twilight's shoulders. "If you do lose to them, you just wake up in bed like it was all some bad dream and carry on with your life."

"You do however lose anything you might pick up in Terror Time, so that's another important thing worth noting." Whisper looked around and eventually found a red chest with little horns on the back and a single eye on the top. "Speaking of which, let's open that chest there, Twilight."

"What? What's a treasure chest doing in a place like this?" Twilight cracked it open and pulled out a little hairclip. "And why's a hairclip inside of it?"

"We'll have time for that later. Just take it and go." Jibanyan tugged on the back of Twilight's mane. "I don't wanna stay in this place any longer, nyan. That big bully, Gargaros'll just flatten us like pancakes!"

And with that, the four of them went down the street towards the town hall, not even noticing the increase in Leadoni and Suspicioni behind them as they walked away. There was also one standing right in front of the chest that they had just opened, looking left and right for Twilight and her friends.

"So, Whisper, I would imagine that with a name like Suspicioni, he's a Yo-kai that would make you suspicious of everything, right?" Twilight looked at a single Yo-kai standing guard of another treasure chest.

"Yes." Whisper nodded. "He spends most of the time with two Yo-kai identical in stature to him; Tantroni and Contrarioni."

"Tantroni would be one to make people have constant temper tantrums, and Contrarioni would make them disagree with everything, am I correct?" Twilight raised a brow.

"Yes. You're quite smart, aren't you, Twilight?" Whisper gave her a smile. "It's no wonder that I'm your butler. You're one of the brightest ponies I've ever met."

"Whisper. She's the ONLY smart pony you've met apart from her friends." Jibanyan deadpanned.

"Guys, guys. It's just that some of these Yo-kai names are dead on the nose sometimes." Twilight broke the two Yo-kai up from their fuss. "Suspicioni, Leadoni, Contrarioni, Tantroni, they all don't leave much to the imagination sometimes."

"And you're saying that there are other Yo-kai who aren't very creative?" Whisper raised a brow.

"No. No, of course not." Twilight shook her head rapidly. "I'm just saying that these four aren't very creative. There could be much better named Yo-kai with intricate designs out there. I've just yet to see them, that's all."

All of a sudden, a Leadoni appeared directly in front of Twilight and her friends, causing them to freeze on the spot. The Yo-kai frowned and simply waved his little flag, causing Gargaros to roar loudly once more.

"Sorry, Twilight." Leadoni hung his head and vanished, along with all of the other smaller Yo-kai.

"GARGAROS HAS OUR SCENT!" Whisper panicked and flailed his arms frantically. "RUN!"

"No!" Burly chased after Twilight himself. "Don't just keep running from him! He's just going to keep preying on you until you beat him! Are you really going to let him bully you for the rest of your life?"

"Burly, I appreciate the morale boost attempt, but right now, I'm practically too scared to even try!" Twilight looked back at him. "Gargaros nearly killed me the last time I was here. I'm not ready to face him again!"

"GRRRAAAAGGGGHHH!" Gargaros came charging down directly towards Twilight and her friends.

"WRONG WAY!" Whisper and Jibanyan chorused, causing Twilight to skid to a halt and rush off in the opposite direction.

Burly could only watch as Twilight and the others rushed past him. He saw Gargaros following close behind and gave him a swift strike to the chest, knocking him into the air and onto his back.

"Stand up and fight!" Burly called to both Twilight and Gargaros. "Let your spirits clash! Overcome your fears and beat this nightmare senseless! Prove that you're not some scared little five-year old kid!"

"Burly..." Gargaros brushed off some of the dirt. "YOU MAKE ME SO ANGRY!" He ran towards Sgt. Burly and shoulder charged into him. He came in with so much force that he effortlessly knocked the orange Yo-kai onto his knees before swatting him away with the spiked club. "TERROR TIME IS MY HUNTING GROUNDS AND TWILIGHT IS MY PREY! SHE WILL NOT ESCAPE ME THIS TIME!"

Twilight yelped as Gargaros was breathing down her neck. He was about to strike her with his club before he was tripped up by Burly, who had latched himself onto the Oni's legs. She stopped running and watched as Burly lifted Gargaros high over his head and slammed him down into the ground.

"Victoriaaaan! Fight and win! Don't let yourself be bullied by that brute, Gargaros!" Burly called as he dived into Gargaros's back and dealt a strong heel kick to the red Oni. "Use the Yo-kai Watch!"

"NO WAY THAT'S HAPPENING!" Gargaros picked himself up and grabbed Burly tight. He threw the Yo-kai onto the ground as hard as possible before jumping high into the air and raising his club high. "NIGHTMARE BEAT!"

With a single strike, Sgt. Burly was wiped from the face of existence by Gargaros, who was red in the face and sweating all over. Letting out the loudest roar he could muster, he resumed the chase, causing Twilight to dart away towards another street to avoid meeting the same fate as Burly.

"This is very, very, VERY BAD!" Twilight had tears streaming from her face as she ran from Gargaros once more. "Sgt. Burly was destroyed just like that! Gargaros is even more terrifying than I remembered!"

"WELL WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?!" Whisper shouted. "THIS IS TERROR TIME! IT'S MEANT TO BE YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE TAKEN PHYSICAL FORM! THERE'S ZERO TO LITTLE CHANCE OF WINNING AGAINST THAT BRUTE HERE!"

"TALK LATER! RUN NYAOW!" Jibanyan screamed and used all four of his paws to gain some ground between himself and the others.

The Yo-kai and ponies ran as fast as their legs and bodies could carry them, but Gargaros was picking up the pace at a steadily increasing rate. He was now sprinting with his club being dragged across the earth, sparks flying as he pursued Twilight, Whisper, and Jibanyan.

"NO ESCAPE THIS TIME!" Gargaros leapt high into the air and landed right in front of the trio, striking them hard with his spiked club, knocking them against the wall. "YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY FROM ME, TWILIGHT SPARKLE!"

"Battle perimiters met. Yo-kai Watch EX ready for combat." The watch spoke calmly as it automatically transformed into the EX mode. "Terror Time detected. Activating Auto-Team feature." Six Yo-kai medals materialized out of thin and and slammed themselves into Twilight's Yo-kai Watch.

"Roughraff!"

"Buchinyan!"

"Blazion!"

"Sgt. Burly!"

"Rhyth!"

"Noway!"

The six Yo-kai landed before Twilight and threw their arms out to make a wall between them and Twilight. A bright flash of light occured, turning the town into a battleground. There was lots more space, and Twilight had her wings and horn back, but the door that led back to Equestria cracked and shattered like glass, spreading the pieces everywere before they all vanished.

"Wha?" Twilight slowly pulled herself from the impact and shakily got back onto her hooves. "What's going on?"

"Gargaros caught you, Twilight." Burly looked back. "This is a great opportunity to prove your strength."

"GREAT?!" Twilight lurched back at the arena. "The only thing great about this are my wings and horns! I'm stuck facing Gargaros and there's nothing I can do to stop him!"

"If you beat this monster, which I doubt is possible, then you'll get to keep that little hairclip you found." Whisper spoke from Buchinyan's body before Jibanyan took over. "But if you don't, then I don't nyeed to explain it to you, Twilight."

Gargaros simpy snarled like a demon, looking down at Twilight and her rag-tag team.

"I'm doing this for a hairclip?!" Twilight exclaimed at the top of her voice. "I get bullied, harassed, chased, and beaten up by this thing, all for a stupid hairclip?!"

"ENOUGH TALK!" Gargaros slammed Twilight into the dirt with his club. "FIGHT ME!"

"You heard the Oni! Fight!" Burly ran with the two other Yo-kai while the remaining three remained translucent.

"Now we settle this, Sgt. Burly..." Gargaros grunted and brandished his club, swinging it wildly at Twilight's team.

Twilight felt the world spinning around her. Any noise that she could hear had been muted out by the sheer power of the strike that Gargaros had landed on her. Her vision was blurry and she had trouble standing up. It was like she was in the middle of a warzone and she had been just hit by an excessive amount of force. She eventually readjusted and saw the Yo-kai fighting Gargaros. Taking the stylus out of her Yo-kai Watch EX, she began to watch over her defenders.

"Take this, you beast!" Buchinyan jumped up and scratched Gargaros across the face, causing him to reel lightly. It was only a light scratch, but it dug into his body.

"You wanna go, bro?!" Roughraff punched rapidly at Gargaros's leg before being kicked away into Twilight's body. He grunted and groaned before running right back to the fight. "I can do this all day, you know!"

"GRAAGH!" Gargaros slammed his club into Roughraff, turning him into a blue wisp.

"Beaten in one hit..." Twilight turned the wheel on the digital screen, brining Noway into the fight. "Noway! Prioritize defense!" And she tapped the button to activate his Soultimate. She played the game that appeared before her and won in seconds.

"NO WAY THROUGH!" Noway sat down and thrust his arms out, drawing Gargaros's attention to him and him only. He took up a defensive stance and took the next few attacks from the giant Oni.

"While Noway's working on defense, you fight harder, Buchinyan!" Burly gave Gargaros a swift punch to the eye, knocking him down onto his butt. "Make sure that Twilight's strong enough to win! Keep the pressure on!"

"You got it!" Buchinyan gathered energy all on his own and caused his paws to glow red. "FLURRY OF FURRY!" Jumping towards Gargaros, the red paws collided with the monster at breakneck speeds. Despite how little impact they had, it was fast and plentiful enough to knock him down once again.

"NO!" Gargaros leapt back onto his feet and flattened Buchinyan upon landing, causing him to disappear as well. "I won't lose to you again, Burly! Not on your life!"

Twilight turned the wheel one more time, bringing out Rhyth. Seconds later, she charged up energy for the new Yo-kai's Soultimate. She wanted to make sure that Burly and Noway had enough health to survive Gargaros's next few attacks. Once it was done, she saw Rhyth begin to dance harder and faster.

"Seaweed Samba!" Rhyth cried out, emanating a green light that bathed Burly and Noway, fixing any wounds that they might have had.

"Try protecting against this!" Gargaros swung his club behind him in a circular motion as he too took in energy for his Soultimate attack. "There is no way that I'm losing to some weak little baby pony like Twilight Sparkle!"

Sgt. Burly saw the opportunity and rammed right into Gargaros as hard as he could, knocking the Oni against the nearby wall and causing him to fall onto his chest. He looked back at Twilight and said. "Come on, Twilight! You too! We can't beat this thing unless you help us out!"

"I suppose it is for the best." Twilight stepped forward and unfurled her wings, taking her higher and higher into the air. She was about to be too high for Gargaros to hit her when she suddenly banged her head against an invisible ceiling. "Ow! What?"

"Terror Time still don't want you cheating," Burly said. "It's locked us all in this cage where the only way out is through Gargaros."

"NIGHTMARE BEAT!" Gargaros jumped back up higher than Twilight with his club and came crashing down on top of Noway, turning him into rubble and leaving a massive crater where the wall Yo-kai once stood.

"No..." Twilight watched as Noway fell before her eyes. Her gaze was heavily fixated on the wisps of him, Roughraff, and Buchinyan. A tiny tear escaped from her eyes and she gnashed her teeth before looking over at Gargaros. She gathered up energy for a spell which only grew larger and larger.

"Irksome pests!" Gargaros slammed his club into Rhyth, instantly knocking her out. "DIE! LET ME CRUSH THAT LITTLE HORSEY MYSELF!"

"VICTORIAAAN!" Burly did a flying kick to Gargaros's chest, knocking him back. This was immediately met with a punch and strike from the spiked club, leaving him at low health.

"Now, I crush you!" Gargaros raised his foot high and brought it straight down on Burly, turning him into a blue wisp like the others. Only Blazion remained to stand in his way

"I fight for all of Equestria and its inhabitants." Twilight started, gathering lots of magical energy as she hung her head. "I battle for all of my friends in the human world. But most of all, I battle for my Yo-kai friends, and my closest followers and disciples of friendship. And it's in all of their names that I will defeat you, Gargaros!" Twilight shot her head back up, giving him a death glare as her magic was instantly amplified. "I won't let you desecrate any more humans, ponies, or Yo-kai!"

"GRRRRRAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHH!" Gargaros pushed right past Blazion and went straight for Twilight, reaching towards her as she took in all of the magic that she could muster.

With a yell of her own, Twilight deluged Gargaros with a beam ten times her own size, completely blanketing the giant red Oni with light. She put all of her deepest emotions into this spell and thought about all of those that had been defeated trying to save her. Gritting her teeth, she watched as Gargaros begin to guard with his club.

"YOU! SHALL! NOT! PASS!" Twilight bellowed, causing the spell to get even stronger and push Gargaros back into the air and hard against the walls, completely decimating the invisible barriers. She watched as he crashed through multiple houses and landed face-first at Town Hall.

"Nnnnggghhhh..." Gargaros dropped his club and reached out to pick it up once the spell had died down. He barely even touched it before he blacked out and fainted on the cold hard ground.

Twilight took some deep breaths and landed, looking over at the felled Gargaros. She took out the Yo-kai Medals from the Yo-kai Watch EX and switched it back to normal. "Thank you..." She whispered to the medals and let some small tears drop from her eyes. "Thank you all."

"Never... in a millenium... have I seen such... raw power." Gargaros slowly but surely got back to his feet.

"All of that, and you're STILL ALIVE?!" Twilight was aghast with Gargaros's resistance to dying.

"I am a Yo-kai. We are immortal." He grabbed his club and kneeled before her. "But we are not as strong as you. I have hunted down many a foe in Terror Time before, but never have I witnessed such trememdous power from such a victim like yourself, Twilight Sparkle."

"Is that a compliment?" Twilight asked.

"To be an Oni is not an easy life." Gargaros shook his head. "We simply stand guard before the queen's castle. Me, Ogralus, and Orcanos decide who is worthy of entering the castle, and two more gatekeepers beyond decide who gets to see the queen herself," he said. "We judge our guests on their goodwill, honesty, and the battles that they have fought. Those who earn all three of our blessings shall see the queen. The rest get flattened.

"I am not a bad guy, Twilight. In fact, when outside of Terror Time, I'm much more merciful than you could ever imagine." He nodded. "We just got off on the wrong foot before. It happens to everyone who wields the Yo-kai Watch." He cleared his throat and stood up. "With your blessing, I would like to request an alliance."

"What?" Twilight raised a brow at Gargaros's words. "You... want to help?"

"Only every eon I hand a medal like this out. One out of twenty-thousand-quintillion people ever get to hold such a powerful Yo-kai Medal such as this one." Gargaros reached into his loincloth and pulled out a tiny Yo-kai Medal with his face on it. "Today, you have earned it. For not only facing me in Terror Time, but for showing off your true potential."

"A Yo-kai Medal?" Twilight looked at the front cover before turning it over to show the Tough tribe symbol on the back. "Are you sure?"

"Have it. As long as you are a friend to your own people, you are a friend to me." Gargaros personally pulled out Twilight's Yo-kai Medallium and slipped his medal into it. Once that was done, he leaned in and whispered into Twilight's ears, "But be warned. Terror Time will still come back to haunt you, and the next time you enter, you'll be hunted down by Ogralus. He is far more relentless than I was."

Twilight nodded and watched as Gargaros disappeared in a massive blast of purple smoke. As soon as it disersed, the door back to Equestria rematerialized before her. She slowly walked up to it and opened it wide, walking into the light as she returned to her own world.

"I still can't believe it." Whisper looked down at Gargaros's medal once Twilight was back in her bed. "Sgt. Burly and Gargaros's Yo-kai Medals. Burly, I'm happy for, but I'm going absolutely ga-ga over Gargaros's medal! No-one's ever earned his medal before!"

"Nyeah!" Jibanyan looked at the medal himself. "Nyow you get to call on him as much as you like! I think it's much better than having him chase you down.

"Thanks, you two, but I'm still a bit shaken up from all of this." Twilight closed up the book and put it beside her as she wriggled into the bed. "Gargaros almost crushed me and right now I need some time to recover. If I'm going to stop King Void, I need to be of sound mind, physically fit, and well-rested." She yawned, covering her mouth with her hoof. She turned the lamp off and laid her head down on the pillow. "Have a good night, you two."

"Hmm... I suppose it's for the best." Whisper looked at the medal one more time. "Gargaros does make his foes fight until they're either dead or near-death. Twilight just beat him by the skin of her teeth."

"Nyeah. That big-bully had me worried for a sec as well, but I knew that Twilight would be able to beat him." He nodded.

"This coming from the Yo-kai who started crying and wailing as soon as he got crushed by that club of his." Whisper smirked.

"I wasn't crying!" Jibanyan shot back. "I was just... shedding liquid confidence for Twilight!"

"I know tears when I see them, Jibanyan."

"At least I DID something!"

"We both fought him together!"

"And you just hogged my body most of the time!"

"SHUT UP!" Twilight screamed to the quarelling Yo-kai, causing them to stop immediately. "Good-night, Whisper! Good-night, Jibanyan!"

"Yeesh. And I fought Gargaros was scary..." Whisper watched as Twilight slammed her head back into the pillow and snored loudly into it.
