Author's Notes:

If you guys were wondering where I was, I was filling out some editing and commissions for some great authors on this site. Doing all of that does eat away at my time, but it was definitely worth it to save a lot of money and get my pre-order of Titanfall 2 booked.

Actually, if any of you want me to edit a story or commission one for you, then just let me know and I'll fill in the details. Just a head's up though that it will cost some dough to have me look over your work, but these days, five dollars for each chapter or ten dollars for a one-shot doesn't really seem like much in comparison to other prices you've probably seen online.

Also, make sure to upvote this story, favourite it, send to your friends, comment down below about what you liked, and just make sure that this thing gets more attention.

Enjoy the chapter!

P.S. Upvotes are still more valuable than favourites on this site, so if you could click on that little green thumb's up bar on top, then that'd be swell. It shows that my story is getting out there and it'll attract more and more fans to my work.

"Twilight, can I ask you a question?" Whisper said as Twilight was sitting down at a nearby table in the streets of Ponyville for some lunch.

"Sure. Go ahead, Whisper." Twilight nodded.

"Do you ever wonder about the future?" Whisper looked up to the sky and saw all of the clouds floating by before Rainbow Dash and a team of pegasi kicked them out of existence. "What with all of the things that have been going on recently, when it all comes to a stop, is there really anything else for you after that? Like a boyfriend or something?"

"Hmm..." Twilight scratched her chin with her hooves.

Little did the two of them know that there was a small creature with miniscule legs and long arms crawling up to them both. With a wrinkled face and hair that vaguely resembled an onion, it was slowly but surely making its way up to Twilight. "Tell tell." It said before leaping up o Twilight and grabbing a hold of her chin, casting a purple inspiriting flame on her.

"Now that you mention it, Whisper, I want to marry most of the stallions in Ponyville, but I'm just too shy and busy to admit it," Twilight said normally before immediately slapping her mouth with her hooves. "What?! Where did that come from?"

"Ooh! I think we've found a sweet spot." Whisper coyly floated up to Twilight and nudged her on the shoulder. "So tell me, who exactly do you have your eyes on?"

"Tell tell." The creature clasped onto Twilight's neck again, stoking the fires some more.

"As much as I didn't mean to say that earlier, I really, REALLY love Caramel, Doctor Whooves, Big Macintosh, and Flash Sentry to name a few." When she realised what she had said, her jaw hung wide open. "Whisper. You've gotta help me! I think I've got a problem!"

"Either that, or you want quite a large harem." Whisper gently poked her shoulders with his elbow once again and let out a small laugh. "But I suppose if you didn't mean to say that, then someone else made you say it."

"What?" Twilight asked.

"If you didn't mean to say the things that you said, then that can only mean that there's a Yo-kai involved in this." Whisper nodded and crossed his arms. "There are plenty of Yo-kai out in the world these days, and all of them have many different shapes, sizes, and powers. It's no surprise that there would be one to make you tell all of your secrets."

"Tell." The Yo-kai jumped off of Twilight's neck and landed on the table.

"In fact, I believe that our culprit is right over there." Whisper pointed at where the Yo-kai had landed.

Wasting no time, Twilight used the Yo-kai Watch to expose the Yo-kai that had been forcing her to tell secrets. The segments all lit up and with a blast of smoke, the Yo-kai was revealed.

"Tell! Tell!" The Yo-kai looked around at the other ponies, attaching itself onto one of their necks.

"I'm secretly into playing with foal toys!" The pony that the Yo-kai grabbed onto called out.

"That is Tattletell." Whisper pointed out the Yo-kai on the pony's neck as it jumped off and grabbed onto another pony.

"When no-one's looking I secretly write poetry!" The second pony blurted out when Tattletell inspirited them.

"As the name implies, Tattletell is a Yo-kai that forces everyone to tell all of their deepest, darkest, and ultimately friendship-killing secrets." Whisper showed Twilight an image on his tablet. "No matter what the secret is, no matter how dark, no matter how juicy, once Tattletell's on you, you can kiss that secret goodbye. A Tattletell at a birthday party is a real killjoy, but a Tattletell roaming free in the streets of Ponyville is even worse."

"Good thing Yo-kai didn't exist when Pinkie had to hold that secret in a while back." Twilight stood up and pulled out her Yo-kai Medallium. "We need to stop this Tattletell. Who knows how many ponies could have their lives ruined if it inspirits them?"

"Good idea. Secrets are meant to be secrets." Whisper nodded and flew up to Tattletell, who jumped off of the table and ran off using its arms to propel itself.

"Tell!" Tattletell cried out and darted off down the road with Twilight and Whisper close behind it.

"Hey! Get back here!" Twilight ran after Tattletell with Whisper floating behind her.

Tattletell ran past many different ponies, leaping over the carts and other ponies past the ponies. Instead of panting with every breath, she kept saying the word "tell" as she ran. Despite her tiny stature, she was keeping her distance from Twilight and Whisper, even though the both of them could fly.

"Tell tell!" Tattletell turned a corner and ran into a couple of ponies.

"So tell me, what's your favourite type of music?" The first pony asked as Tattletell leapt up and grabbed the other one.

"I'm into polka myself. But because I'm too embarrassed to say it, I stick mostly to classical." The other pony nodded as Tattletell jumped off and ran away once more.

"Stop that Yo-kai!" Twilight flew past the couple while the first pony remained thunderstruck with what had just happened.

"Polka?" The pony raised a brow at her friend.

"Oh, why did I say that?!" The other pony groaned and buried his head in his hooves.

"You know, I really like how our relationship's been so far, Skyline." A female pony was holding a male pegasus's hooves. "So, what do you say we take it to the next level?"

"Tell, tell!" Tattletell jumped onto Skyline's back and grabbed onto his neck, casting another inspiriting flame on him.

"As much as I love you, Lilac, I think we should just be friends. I'm not ready for a foal just yet." Skyline shook his head, throwing Tattletell off of him and onto a small filly's neck.

"I secretly have dreams that I'm a colt instead of a filly!" The new pony called out.

"Tell, tell!" Tattletell smiled and jumped onto Applejack's neck. "Tell!"

"When Granny Smith's out, I secretly enjoy roleplaying with Applebloom!" Applejack cried out as loud as she could.

Twilight and Whisper arrived on the scene, seeing a bunch of ponies who were sobbing and wailing as other ponies looked at them with cocked eyebrows.

"That Tattletell's much faster than I expected." Whisper examined all of the ponies that had been inspirited by Tattletell. "All the more reason why we should stop her from causing all of this. It's no fun when secrets are spoiled."

"Exactly." Twilight saw Tattletell moving through the crowd and followed after her. "Rarity once said, and I quote; the pony who ruins a surprise has to live with that guilt forever. Now that Tattletell's doing her dirty work here, that moral has much more meaning than before."

"If a secret is ruined, then not only does it take the fun or horror out of it, but it also becomes lame and lackluster." Whisper nodded.

"I'm pretty sure that those are both the same thing." Twilight rolled her eyes and continued to pursue the Tattletell. "But you're right. We need to stop her!"

Eventually, the chase went onto the park. Tattletell looked around for anyone to inspirit and spill their secrets, but as she looked around, she found absolutely no-one to lay her hands on. Her vision became blurry as she frantically looked around for a victim of her powers, but she could find absolutely no-one except for Twilight and Whisper behind her.

"Tell... tell..." Tattletell eventually fell to her knees and collapsed, feeling out of breath.

Twilight and Whisper skidded to a halt and looked at how Tattletell had worn herself down from all of the running. Both of them wanted to pounce on top of Tattletell and put an end to her mischief, but as they looked on at her winded state, they were beginning to have second thoughts.

"Well, what should we do, Twilight? Negotiation or confrontation?" Whisper looked down at Tattletell once more.

"Well, she ran around causing everyone to spill their secrets, but we don't exactly know why." Twilight paced around the sleeping Tattletell and closed her medallium. "I think we should at least try to communicate with her first. See if we can get a reason why she was doing it. And if not, we go for confrontation."

"Tell..." Tattletell snored and made bubbles in her sleep.

"Let's... wait until she wakes up." Twilight Sparkle sat down on the grass and watched Tattletell sleep peacefully.

Twilight and Whisper watched and waited as Tattletell slept. The Yo-kai didn't move one inch as they sat down around her. All they could do was watch her sleeping and snoring, uttering the word "tell" with every breath that she took. Despite the chase that she had been through, Tattletell was smiling in her sleep, dreaming of making everyone tell their deepest and darkest secrets.

The wait got so long that it was eventually sundown for Twilight and Whisper, who had eaten a picnic and were now roasting marshmallows on an open fire close to Tattletell. They spoke to each other before they finally noticed Tattletell stirring in her sleep from not just the nearby fire, but also from a tiny gust of wind blowing her hair in her face.

"Tell?" Tattletell woke up and got to her feet, looking at Twilight and Whisper looking down at her.

"Hello, Tattletell." Twilight knelt down to her and gave her a small smile. "My name's Twilight Sparkle, and this is Whisper."

"Tell. Tell, tell, tell." Tattletell pointed to herself, as if she was introducing herself to Twilight.

"Is tell the only word you can say?" Twilight asked.

"Tell." Tattletell nodded.

"Well, I guess it's the perfect time to try out the new translator I've added to my Yo-kai Watch." Twilight tapped the button that flipped her Yo-kai Lens up but held it down and pointed the watch at Tattletell. "Just speak into here, Tattletell. Tell me something. Anything."

"Tell?" Tattletell leaned towards the watch and spoke into it.

"Hello?" Tattletell's voice was translated into that of an elderly woman's voice from the other side of the watch.

"It works!" Twilight trotted on the spot rapidly over her accomplishment. She took a deep breath. "Alright. Calm yourself, Twilight. New Yo-kai that we just met and translated. Try not to look embarrassing..." she said to herself as she cleared her throat. "Anyway, I'm the Princess of Friendship, and I just want to ask you something."

"Ask me anything, dearie," the translated voice said.

"Why were you inspiriting all of those ponies?" Twilight asked.

"Tell tell tell, tell tell tell, tell." Tattletell landed on Twilight's hoof and spoke into the watch.

"Well, people have all of these spirits kept inside of them, and I thought that they wouldn't be able to hold them in any longer," the translation said. "I just wanted to let them let it out. I'm sorry if I hurt them."

"A secret is a great thing to have, Tattletell, but there are some things that just aren't meant to be brought up to the surface." Twilight looked Tattletell in the eyes. "Ponies are very secretive here in Equestria, and I don't think that they appreciate having their secrets blown like that—especially in earshot of dozens of other ponies.

"I'm sorry." Tattletell hung her head and looked down at the grass.

"It's alright, Tattletell. You were just doing what you do, and I'm not entirely against that." Twilight's smile returned and got slightly wider. "Heck, if anything, you could be a really, really great helper if ponies want to let something out but can't find the courage to do it."

"Really?" Tattletell's eyes widened.

"Sure." Twilight nodded and smiled even more. "You know what? I'm actually going to tell you a secret right now because I believe that you're not actually a bad Yo-kai." She leaned closer to Tattletell's ears and whispered, "I think Whisper underestimates me. He thinks I'm never going to befriend all the Yo-kai, but I'll show him..."

"Hey! I'm right here, you know!" Whisper flailed his arms erratically as Twilight's neck straightened up again.

"And you didn't even need me to inspirit you for that..." Tattletell brought her finger to her mouth and hung her jaw open. "Wow. I'm flattered, dearie. I should be with you more often."

And with that sentence, Tattletell's Yo-kai Medal appeared in the air before Twilight. The Yo-kai snatched the medal and handed it to her. "Here you go, sweetie. A reward befitting a sweet little angel like yourself. Give me a call if you want me to make someone tell their secrets." She jumped off of Twilight's hoof and disappeared before she hit the ground.

"I've never heard a Tattletell say something other than tell before..." Whisper looked at Tattletell's medal as Twilight took out the Yo-kai Medallium and put it in with the others. "I suppose I should be surprised, but then again, I've never seen a Yo-kai Watch with a translator for Tattletell and Noko either." He shrugged and chuckled. "You never do cease to surprise me, do you, Twilight?"

"I never surprise you, Whisper." Twilight gave him a light glare. "You always say that I've only scratched the surface and that I'm not going to do this. Show me some respect, won't you?"

"I do respect you, Twilight." Whisper nodded and looked at the medals that she had gathered. "I do think that you're capable, I do believe you can befriend all the Yo-kai, and I do know that you can stop King Void."

"Well you're not really one to show it, are you?" Twilight scoffed and closed up her book.

"Well, I... uh..." Whisper began to sweat. "Let's just say that there was a Yo-kai, you beat it, and you got a new Yo-kai Medal. All in all, just another brick in the wall."

"You're avoiding my question, aren't you?" Twilight cocked a brow at Whisper.

"Gah! Well, I-I-I-I'd love to stay and talk to you more about this, but I really should be getting back to the castle." Whisper hurriedly flew away. "Books to sort, ledges to clean, the usual. All with that little pet lizard of yours."

"He's a dragon!" Twilight shouted after Whisper before she looked back at the Yo-kai Medallium. "Ugh. Honestly, I don't get you sometimes, Whisper..."

"Thank you for helping me clean the animals today, Twilight." Fluttershy gave Twilight a smile as she hosed down a couple of filth-encrusted pigs and goats. Once she saw the animals coated in water, she wiped them with a long pink towel.

"No problem, Fluttershy." Twilight smiled as she herded the next animal over to the stool so that she could clean the grime off. "It's great to help out a good friend in time of need."

"I also have to thank Whisper and Jibanyan for helping us out too." Fluttershy walked over to see Jibanyan scrubbing down a large bear and Whisper carrying a bucket of water that had gotten dirty. "I have to admit, these Yo-kai are much nicer than I thought they'd be when I first saw them. And much cuter too." She let a tiny chuckle slip.

"H-hey. Stop it." Jibanyan lightly blushed and waved his paw at Fluttershy.

"Here I thought that all Yo-kai were going to be just another type of monster, but you two definitely proved me wrong." Fluttershy looked over at Whisper, who tossed the muddy water onto a large patch of grass.

"If there were any evil Yo-kai, then they're very hard to find, Fluttershy." Whisper nodded and looked over to Twilight. "Secondly, if there were, then Twilight would be able to sort them out, no sweat. She's already bested Felycan and the Puppet Brothers, so I have my hopes that she'll be able to defeat King Void as well."

"I'm still wondering about whether or not the Magic of Friendship can work on those Yo-kai..." Twilight scratched her chin as she she went back to caring for the animals. "I mean, these Boss Yo-kai haven't really been the hardest things I've had to face before, and they seemed quite and vulnerable to my Yo-kai friends. Maybe there's a way to combine both their power and that of the Elements of Harmony. I'll have to find out for myself next time there's a Boss Yo-kai causing havoc."

"Well, let me tell you something to boost your confidence, Twilight." Whisper floated over to her and coiled his tail around her neck. "Boss Yo-kai are nothing more than big blowhards these days. They try to act all big and tough, but none of them can really back it up without any proper hinting." He put his hands to his side. "Why, I've never seen a capable Boss Yo-kai other than Mckraken, Dame Dedtime, Kin, or Gin, so I'd say that you're in good hands."

"You've gotta be tough. You've gotta be strong. And most of all, you've gotta look those Yo-kai right in the eye and tell them to buzz off!" Fluttershy stomped forward and popped her eye wide open.

"Wow, Fluttershy. That's incredibly brave of you to say." Twilight stepped backward and scratched the back of her head. "But... I never expected it to come from you. You're usually a more kind and caring pacifist, not a tough-as-nails brave pony."

"Hmm." Whisper eyed up Fluttershy. "My Yo-kai butler's intuition is telling me that there's a Yo-kai at work here."

"Again?" Twilight asked.

"What? You freed me from the Crank-a-kai, and henceforth, that allowed every other Yo-kai to come here as well." Whisper shot back. "I thought that you'd have accepted that by now."

"I have. I just didn't think that there'd be one that would make Fluttershy seem so tough." Twilight flipped up the lens and pointed around Fluttershy. "Makes you wonder just what other kinds of Yo-kai exist, doesn't it?"

She pointed the watch so that it examined the space next to Fluttershy, revealing the Yo-kai in seconds It looked like a giant slab of pastry with a wide slab of seaweed at the bottom, with two square legs hanging out from beneath it. It had a pair of small and wimpy arms to each side of it and a face that had no discernible eyes, nose, or mouth.

"Hey!" A tense face burst out of the centre, engorging the arms and making them incredibly buff. The Yo-kai looked down on Twilight and Whisper. "Who's got the guts to butt into my inspirit?"

"What the heck?!" Twilight stumbled backwards as the new face appeared on the Yo-kai.

"That is Mochismo." Whisper pointed out and handed Twilight his Yo-kai Pad. "Normally a soft and squishy slab of pastry on the outside, the real Yo-kai is buried underneath. A buff and determined macho man who will make all of his inspirited victims feel just as strong."

"I ain't soft and squishy, flying marshmallow." Mochismo cracked his knuckles and stomped up to Twilight and Whisper. "Now, who the heck are you, and what business do you have with me?"

"I AM NOT A FLYING MARSHMALLOW!" Whisper yelled at the top of his voice, getting up in Mochismo's face. He was met with a powerful left hook, sending him flying into a chicken coop and covering him with feathers.

"Don't worry about him." Twilight pointed over to Whisper before bowing to Mochismo. "My name is Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship and holder of the Yo-kai Watch. I just wanted to ask if you could stop inspiriting Fluttershy. Please?"

"Hmmph. You don't look like a princess to me." Mochismo bent his body, hearing another cracking noise. "Tell ya what, though. I'll make you a deal. You defeat me, I let her go. Sound good?"

"Isn't there another way?" Twilight asked.

"Nope. We Mochismo don't let go of humans or ponies without a fight. So put 'em up right now, missy." Mochismo bent his stumpy legs and brought his arms before his face, ready for combat.

"Can't say I didn't try." Twilight dug into her Yo-kai Medallium and pulled out her medal. Let's use this one, seeing as I haven't had the chance to use him much.

"Come on out, my Yo-kai friend! Calling Dulluma!" Twilight tossed the medal skyward and flew up with it, catching it with her magic. "Yo-kai Medal! Do your thing!" And with that, she shoved it into the watch, making sure that it was the right way up this time.

"SUMMONING: TOUGH!" The watch called out, firing off orange beams of light.

Gruff stuff!
Rough buff!
Red ban, jacket stand, bling blang
TOUGH!

"Dulluma." He sighed, eyeing up his opponent. "Let's just get this over with."

"Oh, it's on now!" Mochismo cracked a smile and charged in at Dulluma, ready to give him a powerful strike. He let out a yell that got louder and louder as he approached the smaller Yo-kai.

Then, seconds before Mochismo could make his attack, one of the chickens that had yet to be cleaned ran in front of him and caused him to trip up. He wobbled on the tip of his left foot before he tumbled down directly on top of Dulluma. Neither Yo-kai had time to dodge as Mochismo completely flattened Dulluma.

"Dulluma!" Twilight called out, trying to lift Mochismo up with her magic. He didn't move an inch, even as she poured all of her strength into picking both Yo-kai up. "Nngh... Why is Mochismo so heavy?"

Then, a blinding flash of light emanated from Dulluma and Mochismo that only got brighter and brighter. Twilight backed away once more as the light pierced the sky and broke Fluttershy from the inspiriting flames.

"Eek!" She yelled and ducked behind the bear for cover, who threw out its claws to defend against a new threat.

A bigger Yo-kai descended before Twilight, replacing both Mochismo and Dulluma. It was the shape of a gorilla with red pants and armbands. It had orange fur that covered its entire backside, shoulders, and even its head. It had a bushy black beard and two oversized eyebrows. The final details were the extra bits of blue fur on its chest.

"What the heck are you?!" Twilight asked, jabbing a finger at the new Yo-kai.

"I am Darumacho!" He slammed his fists together and made them crack as he looked down at Twilight. "With Mochismo and Dulluma's powers combined, I am a far stronger Yo-kai than ever!" He punched the ground multiple times, making two deep holes with each strike. "Who shall I thank for allowing me to fuse?"

"Thank?" Twilight looked all around her before setting her sights on Darumacho once again. "Well, I guess if you have anyone to thank, it's me. I was the one who had Dulluma's medal."

"My greatest thanks to you, then." Darumacho walked up to Twilight and shook her hoof so much that he ended up lifting her off of the ground before letting go and setting her back down. "A Darumacho is not something you see every day, and not even the greatest of Mochismo have been able to find a Dulluma to fuse with to become this new form. You have my gratitude, and my Yo-kai Medal."

"Yo-kai Medal?" Twilight's jaw dropped wider than ever. "B-B-But, you were a stubborn Mochismo a few seconds ago!"

"Yes. And that is why I must thank you for freeing me from that old body and giving me a new one." Darumacho bowed down before Twilight, waving his arms down and up in a slow rhythmic fashion. "I can be a valuable asset to your team, given that my Yo-kai Rank is B."

"A B rank?" Whisper flew back up with a few teeth missing. "Why not? It would be great to have you on the team, Darumacho." He held out his hand.

"Not you, soft serve." Darumacho slapped Whisper back into the exact same chicken coop that Mochismo had knocked him into earlier. He then reached into the fur on his back and retrieved his Yo-kai Medal, presenting it before Twilight.

"Thanks, Darumacho." Twilight took the Yo-kai Medal and put into the Medallium with the other one that she had collected. "But don't you think I should have Mochismo as well, just in case I need to fuse?"

"Oh. Of course." Darumacho quickly transformed back into Mochismo and Dulluma.

"Here, Twilight. Take it." Mochismo waddled up to Twilight and handed her his Yo-kai Medal as well. "Never thought there'd be someone more macho than me out there, but you sure proved me wrong."

"Ugh. What just happened?" Dulluma rubbed his head and walked back up to Twilight's side. "Did we win or what?"

"If you ever need Mochismo to buff someone up, or Darumacho to give them some real gusto, just give me a call, and I'll be right over." Mochismo shook Twilight's hoof and vanished, causing Dulluma to disappear as well.

"First a flying marshmallow, then a soft serve ice cream..." Whisper grumbled to himself as he came back to Twilight with even less teeth. "Is there no love for Whisper? The most handsome and dashing Yo-kai of all?"

"Handsome? Dashing? You've cat to be kidding me." Jibanyan face-palmed as he jumped back over to Twilight.

"Break it up, you two." Twilight used both of her hooves to gently push Whisper and Jibanyan apart. "We got two Yo-kai Medals and fixed Fluttershy at the same time. That's definitely worth some merit, isn't it?"

"What just happened?" Fluttershy walked up to Twilight and looked down at the two new medals she had acquired. "There was a large pillar of light, but then it just stopped. Was there another Yo-kai?"

"Two, to be precise." Twilight showed Fluttershy her new medals. "Mochismo and Darumacho. Two Yo-kai capable of turning the meek and timid into super-brave macho ponies. Definitely not someone that would work well with you..."

"Now that you mention it, there was a giant orange gorilla looking down at you, Whisper, and Jibanyan." Fluttershy looked at Darumacho's medal. "Was that medal the same Yo-kai?"

"Yes... Yes it was." Twilight nodded. "But, how could you see it? Only people with the Yo-kai Watch can see Yo-kai."

"The same thing happened when Rarity met Dazzabel." Whisper went over to Fluttershy's side. "I don't think it's any coincidence. Something about you and your friends is allowing them to see Yo-kai, even when they don't have Yo-kai Watches of their own. How curious..."

"It's definitely something worth looking into." Twilight stood next to Fluttershy and wrapped her hoof around the pegasus's body. "How are my friends able to see Yo-kai?"

"Search me. I'm just a humble butler sealed away in a capsule prize for over a hundred and ninety years." Whisper shrugged. "But on the plus side, you do have two more Yo-kai Medals now, so that's a plus. More friends means a better chance of defeating King Void and saving the worlds."

"Nyeah. You should make lots more Yo-kai friends, Twilight!" Jibanyan leapt up high onto her back and stroked her mane. "I bet that by the time that mean old king comes around, you'll have more friends than the population of Equestria itself!"

"Yeah, I suppose you're right, Jibanyan." Twilight stroked him back, hearing him purr like an actual kitten.

"Now a pony stroking a cat, I'm used to. But a cat stroking a pony? Now that's something entirely different." Whisper whispered into Fluttershy's ears.

"Tell me about it." Fluttershy smiled before sharing a small giggle with him.
