Chapter 16: Dull-cet Tones/The Dancing Trio

Previous Chapter Next Chapter

"You know, it's been a long time since a Boss Yo-kai hit Ponyville." Twilight looked out from her castle's balcony at the town below. She watched all of the ponies going about their daily routines and being generally peaceful. "Whisper, what's your feelings on that?"

"Hard to say, really." Whisper too examined the ponies below. "I don't know whether I should be happy that the town's not been hit by one for a while now, or nervous that we're about to get blitzed by another one. Plus there's the whole thing about that king that Felycan mentioned, so that's another important factor."

"I'm still worried about that king too, Whisper. But I keep on telling you that there's absolutely no reason to be worried about him." Twilight shook her head at him. "You can't let a single worry take over your life. Pinkie Pie did once, and she nearly ended up saying something she shouldn't have."

"I'm sorry. I really shouldn't be as concerned about him as I should be, but I am." Whisper looked into the air. "After the battles with both Mckraken and Dame Dedtime, I'm starting to think that this king might be even stronger than both of them put together. And considering that Mckraken was a tyrant, and Dame Dedtime wanted to consume everyone and everything around her, that's saying a lot..."

"That's why we need to upgrade the Yo-Kai Watch as fast as we can." Twilight opened up the medallium and examined all of the medals that she had. "We've already got three Brave, Eerie, and Mysterious Yo-kai, so that's done. We just need to focus on the other five tribes, and we should be good to go up to D Rank."

"I think that we should get done with Tough next." Whisper looked at the empty spaces around Roughraff's medal. "Tough tribe Yo-kai are the hardest to reason with, so if we can get done with them quickly, then we should be able be able to put it out of our minds and get the job done easier."

"Yes. I agree." Twilight nodded. "The more Yo-kai that we can find, the better."

"Especially given what Felycan did to you back there. It might be wise to upgrade the capabilities of the EX version too, just in case." Whisper tapped the dome of the watch, switching it to the EX mode. "I mean, six Yo-kai in battle at once is great for a single Boss Yo-kai, but with the way that Felycan almost beat them, it might be wise to give it a few more tweaks."

"Maybe later, once I've seen some tougher Boss Yo-kai, I'll decide." Twilight walked back into the castle. "You coming, Whisper? Pinkie Pie's gonna feel bad if you miss her birthday."

"Just give me a minute, Twilight." Whisper gently pushed his arm while looking away from her. "I still need some more time to recollect my thoughts on everything that's happened recently..."

"OK, well don't be too long." Twilight gave him a smile as she went back inside and walked down the corridors.

Twilight arrived at the front door of the castle and was about to go out into the town when she heard a squeaking noise similar to a stuffed toy. She turned back and faintly saw a snakelike creature with yellow skin hide with a green flower on its head by one of the sides of the stairs. Raising a brow, she turned back and walked up to the Yo-kai, who slithered backwards towards the wall.

"Hey. Don't be shy." Twilight spoke softly when approaching the snake. She gave it a gentle smile as she tiptoed towards it, getting a better look at it the closer she got. "My name's Twilight. What are you? Friend? Or foe?"

"Noko," said the snake.

"Noko?" Twilight looked at his body. "That sounds like a nice name."

"Noko. Noko noko!" He nodded vigorously and slithered up to Twilight, giving her the widest smile that he could.

"Aww, you're adorable." Twilight kneeled down and patted Noko's belly. "Wanna be friends? I'm sure I can arrange some feeding time with Fluttershy if you want."

"Noko!" He nodded again, giving Twilight a Yo-kai Medal with his picture on.

"Wait... You're a Yo-kai?" Twilight's eyes lit up as she examined the medal.

"Noko!" He gave her a third nod. "Noko noko noko, noko noko, noko noko!"

"Is Noko the only thing you can say?" Twilight opened the medallium and put Noko's medal into it. "Because if it is, I might just have to add a translator to my Yo-Kai Watch next time I upgrade it."

"Noko." He nodded yet again.

"Well, Noko, it was nice to see you, but I've really gotta get going." Twilight walked towards the door once again, giving Noko a wave as she left. "I'll be sure to call you if I need you."

"Noko." He waved Twilight back with his tail as she left the building.

Down in Ponyville, the streets were covered in confetti, had balloons attached to each house and stall, and were painted to celebrate Pinkie Pie's birthday. Everything had been decorated, even the smallest blades of grass had been spruced up for such an occasion. There were party games, a buffet, a dancefloor, and many more things to do as the town was positively abuzz with energy.

Twilight and Whisper cantered into the town, looking at all of the different stalls, party equipment, and guests. Both of them were awestruck with just how different it looked when compared to a regular day. Whisper especially was taking in all of the sights and eyeing up all of the food on the buffet table.

"Oh my..." he said. "And here I thought that the Springdale Summer Festival was amazing, but this is simply exquisite!" Whisper arched his arms and shook them giddily at the sight of the food. "I know it's mainly all party food and would do a number on people trying to watch their diets, but you only live once, as they say."

"You sound excited, Whisper." Twilight gave him a smile. "I didn't know you were into this sort of thing."

"I'm always full of surprises, Twilight. Haven't I mentioned that before?" Whisper was already scoffing cupcakes, his mouth covered in the frosting. "You might not know it from my upper-crust voice and state of mind, but I'm actually quite a fan of parties and festivals."

"Well, this quite a treat for you." Twilight Sparkle looked around at everyone's positive spirits. "Pinkie's birthdays have always been getting bigger and bigger with each year. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that this year, she's gone above and beyond everypony's expectations for a Pinkie Party."

"Speak of the pony, there she is!" Whisper pointed to Pinkie Pie, who was sitting on the stepsof Sugarcube Corner while looking down at her feet. "Let's go wish her a happy birthday, shall we?"

"Sure!" Twilight galloped over towards Pinkie.

Pinkie Pie was just calmly gazing down at her feet, letting out a long and weary sigh as she put her hoof on her chin. Despite the party being in full swing, Pinkie felt something off about it all. Her joyful smile and bouncy spirit was almost non-existent as she looked around at the rest of the town having fun. As much as she wanted to join them, all she could do was exhale once again.

"Hi, Pinkie!" Twilight came over to her. "Happy birthday!"

"Hey, Twilight..." Pinkie forced a small smile as she looked up at Twilight. "How are you enjoying it?"

"Oh, it's great, Pinkie. You've really outdone yourself this year!" Twilight took a quick glance at the town once more. "I don't think I've seen a party this big since Cheest Sandwich came to town!"

"Yeah. Everything's going just swell..." Pinkie Pie turned away and let out a third sigh.

"Pinkie? What's wrong?" Twilight immediately noticed Pinkie's attitude and slowly approached her. "Is it something I said?"

"No. Not really," said Pinkie. "Everything's just so dull and boring."

"Wh-WHAT?!" both Twilight and Whisper exclaimed together.

"But... it's a party for you!" Twilight's jaw hung wide open at what Pinkie had said to her. "How could you think that a Pinkie Pie party, especially one for you and you alone, would be boring?!"

"I dunno. I guess I'm not really feeling it right now," Pinkie Pie didn't even notice the inspiriting flame around her getting hotter and hotter. "Not even this weird purple thingy around my body can make me happier..."

"She can see inspiriting flames?" Whisper's eyes widened at Pinkie as he too could see the ghostly fire around her body. "What an odd little pony this Pinkie Pie is."

"You mean there's another Yo-kai here?" Twilight asked.

"Yes. Whenever Yo-kai cast their powers on someone, they always leave behind a purple inspiriting flame that no mere mortal can see." Whisper nodded and pointed over to Pinkie, who was kicking a single pebble. "Purple flames are for more negative and ghastly inspirits, while golden ones are for good things like energy boosts and extra morale. But I definitely see a purple one, so let's find this Yo-kai inspiriting your friend and deal with it."

Twilight flipped up the Yo-Kai Watch's lens and examined the area. She detected a Yo-kai behind Pinkie Pie and focused on it, seeing the watch's twelve segments light up once more, revealing the culprit.

The Yo-kai behind Pinkie looked like an egg within another egg that had been popped open. The lower half of the Yo-kai had a pair of arms and legs. There were faces on both of the bodies. The one on the outside looked angry and intimidating, yet the one inside looked just as out of it as Pinkie. It too let out a weary sigh as it used its inner arms to prop its inner head up.

"That is Dulluma." Whisper pointed out the Yo-kai. "Whoever he inspirits becomes so unmotivated and bored that the world around them becomes dull and drab. Pinkie Pie's party might be the liveliest thing I've ever seen, but Dulluma's making her into a real party pooper."

"A Yo-kai that can make ponies bored?" Twilight took a few steps closer and watched how similarly Dulluma and Pinkie Pie were acting. "That doesn't sound good."

"Yes. Especially since it's her birthday, after all." Whisper shook his head. "No-one should be bored on a day like this. Not even Pinkie Pie. It's still the usual choice, Twilight. Negotiation or confrontation."

"Come on out, my Yo-kai friend! Calling Pandle!" Twilight tossed Pandle's medal high into the air and grabbed it with her magic. "Yo-kai Medal! Do your thing!" She pushed it into the slot, activating the watch.

"SUMMONING: BRAVE!" The watch yelled out as the red beams caused Pandle to materialize, twirling his toothpick to the beat.

Sumo shave!
Flavo engrave!
Flash team'a Brave!

"Pandle!" He triumphantly cried out, brandishing his toothpick at the Yo-kai.

"Pandle. Now's the time to prove that you can be a powerful Yo-kai." Twilight gave him a gentle pat on the back. "Try taking out that Dulluma. Should be a good warm-up for you."

"No problem, Twilight!" Pandle flashed her a confident smile before he set his sights on the Yo-kai. "Hey, you! Get your mitts off of my friend's friend!"

"Uggh. Pandle? Bo-ring..." Dulluma stood up and yawned. "But I guess if it's a fight you want, then it's a fight you'll get."

"Nyaaaarrrgggh!" Pandle dashed towards Dulluma and jabbed him with the toothpick as hard as he could. He pushed it so hard into the Yo-kai's body, as if it were trying to impale him.

"Yawn." Dulluma deadpanned as the toothpick was now deep within his body. "That hurts, but I don't even care."

"He got a toothpick rammed into his body, and he's just going to take it?" Twilight watched how deep Pandle has thrust it in, looking at how stoic Dulluma was when facing the attack.

"Dulluma is a Tough tribe Yo-kai, Twilight." Whisper watched Pandle repeatedly poke and prod him with the toothpick. "Much like Roughraff and Noway, Tough Yo-kai can take quite a pounding before they feel real pain. It should come as no surprise that Dulluma wouldn't be defeated as easily."

"Well, if he's going to fight, then he should at least fight like he means it." Twilight frowned as he watched Dulluma strike back as slowly as he could. She could see his uninterest in the whole battle. "This isn't a fight. This is Pandle beating up someone who doesn't care what happens."

"Try impressing me now." Dulluma scoffed and turned away. "All your attacks are SO BORING!"

"Alrighty then... No more Mr. Nice Pandle!" Pandle gathered energy for his Soultimate as fast as he could, and pulsated purple once he had collected enough. He dashed forward, thrusting his toothpick at breakneck speed onto Dulluma's faces. "POINTY TOOTHPICK!"

Dulluma took the beating as much as he could before he was knocked back into Pinkie's body, hurtling her inside the building where she crashed into the wall and spilled a whole chocolate cake right on top of her and the Yo-kai.

"Had enough?!" Pandle shouted at Dulluma.

"For the first time in my life, that was awesome." Dulluma slowly stumbled out of the building and fell down the steps right onto his faces. "Ow! Hey... I'm feeling real pain, and caring about it!" Dulluma cracked a small smile as he looked up at Twilight. "Are you the gal who summoned that Pandle?"

"Yes. My name's Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship." Twilight bowed before Dulluma and cleaned the cake off of his face while tending to his cuts. "Are you okay? Because you look like you've been roughed up pretty bad..."

"I'm fine, really." Dulluma smiled. "In fact, I'm even better now, thanks to you." He shook her hoof in gratitude. "All of my life, I've been seeing nothing but the same old boring things each and every day. Every Yo-kai, every place, and everyone. But today, you kicked the crud out of me, and for once in my life, I felt pain." He revealed the marks where he had been hit. "Dullumas don't usually feel anything; even when they're attacked!"

"Uhh... You're welcome?" Twilight struggled trying to find the right words.

"We should definitely be friends!" Dulluma jumped up and slapped his medal right into Twilight's hooves. "Sure, I might still think everything's boring once I go back home, but if you summon me, it'll feel like everything's a little brighter." His smile grew wider as he looked into Twilight's eyes. He held up his index and middle fingers. "Peace out, princess." And then he vanished.

"Another Yo-kai Medal?" Twilight looked at both sides of Dulluma's medal and put it into the Medallium. "I'm not complaining, but I think that this is getting a bit too easy for my liking..."

"Your watch is still only on the E Rank setting, Twilight." Whisper examined Twilight's watch. "We still need a few more Yo-kai if we're going to upgrade it. But with Dulluma's addition to the Medallium, it's safe to say that we're halfway there."

"Four tribes down, and four to go." Twilight looked at the rest of the medals that she had collected. "Heartful, Shady, Slippery, and Charming remain. Once I get more Yo-kai from those tribes, we'll be able to find even more Yo-kai around the world."

"Hey! Cake!" Pinkie Pie beamed as she licked the chocolate cake off of her face, causing the inspiriting flame around her to disappear. "Mmm! Chococate too! My favourite!"

"Sounds like Pinkie Pie's back to normal." Twilight smiled, closing up the Medallium as she went over to pick Pinkie Pie up and get her back to the party.

The party was still going on outside, with Applejack and Rainbow Dash having a race with each other around the town, Fluttershy and Rarity socializing, and Pinkie Pie travelling with Twilight Sparkle and Red Snow through the party-fied village.

"Everyone's having a great time, aren't they?" Twilight looked at everyone laughing and being merry with all of the stuff that Pinkie had laid out in the city.

"Yep!" Pinkie Pie bounced over to Town Hall's front door. "Whenever I make a party, I always make sure everyone's in high spirits, and ready to shake their tails until the sun goes down!"

"Tail-shaking?" Red Snow raised a brow as she walked back up to Pinkie Pie. "Forgive me if I sound a bit alien, but whatever is that?"

"Tail-shaking, duh!" Pinkie Pie wiggled her own poofy tail to show Red. "Y'know? Boogieing down? Spinning all over the place?" She watched Red Snow's brow get higher and higher with each word. "Dancing! It's not that hard to understand!"

"In Japony, dancing is not really permitted, not even on one's birthday." Red Snow flashed her kimono dress to Pinkie. "We do have ceremonial dances and spiritial medium dances, but they are far slower and much more graceful than the high-octane energy-filled dancing that you Ponyville ponies speak of."

"Yet there are some Yo-kai that I know who can make people dance their hearts out." Whisper nodded. "And if Miss Snow here is lucky to have their medals, then we're in for a real treat today, Twilight."

"What do you mean, Whisper?" Twilight raised a brow.

"Do you have the medals for the Dancing Trio, Red?" Whisper floated over to her.

"Indeed." Red Snow pulled out three Yo-kai Medals with the Heartful tribe logo on the backs of each. "They are quite a renowned dancing troupe in the Yo-kai World from what Sailornyan has told me. Never thought I'd be summoning them, though. We Japonese don't really do dancing ourselves."

"But when you think about it, this isn't really Japony, is it?" Whisper smirked.

"I suppose not." Red Snow nodded and spoke in her Japonese voice as she tossed the medals into the air and caught all three of them gracefully. "Yo-kai Medal! Set! On!" One after another, the medals went into the slot, and the watch burst with green light.

"SUMMONING: HEARTFUL!" The watch cried out as lots of green lasers shot out of Red's Yo-Kai Watch, generating three Yo-kai.

Speedy artful
Sing, la la la!
Everywhere Heartful!

Three strips of different coloured seaweed, each wearing a jacket around their arms and a bow on their head appeared before Twilight. A green one with a blue jacket and white bow, a darker green one with a cream bow and brown jacket, and a pale green one with a red bow and pink jacket were all showing up one after another.

"Wiglin!" the green seaweed said.

"Steppa!" the darker one called out.

"Rhyth!" cried the third and final one.

"The Dancing Trio! Ten out of ten!" The three Yo-kai posed all together with smiles on their faces as they appeared before Twilight, Red Snow, Pinkie Pie, and Whisper.

"Twilight. Say hello to Wiglin, Steppa, and Rhyth." Whisper pointed out all three of the Yo-kai to her as they stood upright. "Together, these three Yo-kai make up a group known as the Dancing Trio."

"So, as the name implies, I'm assuming that they make people dance when they inspirit them?" Twilight asked.

"Correct. And that dancing power is then amplified if all three of them are together." Whisper nodded. "Why, if Wiglin, Steppa, and Rhyth are all in play at once, then it could potentially get the whole town dancing!"

"Ooh! Yo-kai that can make the whole town dance?" Pinkie Pie squealed at the thought. "That'd be awesome! Perfect to make my birthday bash even longer and more fun!"

"Any particular type of dance you want, Twilight?" Red Snow asked. "Or should we give you the Yo-kai's native dance instead?"

"There's a Yo-kai dance?" Twilight's eyes lit up. "I'd love to see that!"

"Well, you're in luck then, little missy." Steppa nodded. "The Yo-kai Dance is so easy to learn that even a Confuze can do it."

"We'll take you through the steps. Then, you and Pinkie Pie can get the whole town together for a super-cool dance party!" Rhyth stepped forward.

"I like that idea!" Twilight gave smiles to the Dancing Trio as she stepped forward and let Wiglin, Steppa, and Rhyth get some room.

"As unorthodox as it is for someone of Japonese descent, I must say that this will be fun..." Red Snow leaned against the railing as she let the three Yo-kai prepare for their dance.

"Now, the Yo-kai Dance isn't something many mortals get to see, since you can't actually see anything about us to begin with." Wiglin nodded as a strange beat began to fill the air. "But since you've got the Yo-Kai Watch, that's a great start."

"All that's left to do is follow our dance steps, keep to the beat, and just try to repeat what we do, alright?" Steppa asked as he and the other Yo-kai began to wiggle their bodies to the music.

"Alright." Twilight too found herself tapping her beat and moving her neck to the rhythm. "I must say, I'm quite flattered to get a dance lesson from Yo-kai."

"Yeah! And considering that she's only had the watch for a few weeks now, that's saying something." Pinkie Pie was also moving, but she had way more energy in her.

The next few minutes involved Wiglin, Steppa, and Rhyth showing Twilight and Pinkie Pie all of the moves, and getting them to practice them until they got them right flawlessly. The beat had evolved into a full-blown song that the trio were singing along to perfectly when Twilight and Pinkie performed a segment of the dance, with some small intermissions between lyrics while they moved on to the next segment.

"Hey, girls? What's going on?" Rainbow Dash asked as she flew up to Pinkie Pie and Twilight with Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Starlight Glimmer next to her.

"Hi, Dashie!" Pinkie Pie waved back at her. "We're just doing the Yo-kai Dance with Wiglin, Steppa, and Rhyth!"

"You wanna join? There's always room for one more..." Twilight sing-songed and pointed to the empty space around her.

"A Yo-kai Dance on Pinkie Pie's birthday?" Rarity watched how Pinkie and Twilight were moving their bodies. "Sounds quite exquisite. Count me in!" Rarity got in between the two dancing ponies.

"Me too!" Applejack walked up to Twilight's side.

"Me three!" Rainbow Dash landed next to Pinkie and let the beat take over her.

"Well, guess there'd be no point in saying no." Starlight took up her own place on the dancefloor with the other girls. "It is Pinkie Pie's birthday, after all. And birthdays are meant to be fun."

"I agree." Fluttershy nodded and joined the rest of the group. "Pinkie's parties get better every year!"

"Great! Nice to see some new faces on the floor!" Steppa walked forward and watched the other ponies dance along to the tune. "Alright. We'll do one more rehearsal, then move onto the real thing, alright?"

"Yeah!" Pinkie Pie and Twilight nodded as Wiglin, Steppa, and Rhyth took their places. As they danced, they became real to not just them, but to the rest of the girls as the Yo-Kai Watch around Twilight began to glow a faint rainbow-colour.

Once again, Wiglin, Steppa, and Rhyth went through the whole dance to the girls, teaching them all of the dance moves and getting them to copy what they did. The music and beat still stayed the same, with the song lyrics being identical to when Pinkie and Twilight did it by themselves.

Red Snow and Whisper watched from afar for a bit before they both looked at each other and exchanged nods. They both went over to Twilight and her friends and began to dance, as the rest of the town heard the music and went over to investigate what was going on.

One by one, townsponies of all ages and sizes came to see the girls all dancing to the tune. With how they were moving, it was a true sight to behold, with the Main Six, Starlight, and Red Snow moving all in perfect harmony with one another.

"Everypony! Welcome to the Pinkie Pie Birthday Dance-a-long!" Pinkie Pie announced to the crowd once she had realized what they were doing there. "If you want, you can all join in too. Just follow the beat, and copy what we do!" The beat now transformed into the song once again. "Ready? Here we go!"

Yo-kai Yo-kai Yo-kai Yo-kai
Yo-kai, won't you be my friend?
Yo-kai Yo-kai Yo-kai Yo-kai
Yo-kai 'til the very end!

Let's go with the flow, you can shake it to and fro
Spending time with me
Yo=kai Yo-kai Yo-Kai Watch-chi-chi!

Kai Kai Ki Ki Koi Koi Kay Kay
C'mon Yo-Kai Watch with me!

The girls all performed the Yo-kai Dance while singing along to the music, with Wiglin, Steppa, Rhyth, and Whisper performing the moves as well in the background. The moves ranged from stretches, to arm spins, to even standing on their hind legs and shuffling on the spot. The moves were so well-timed that the crowd found themselves dancing along as each move came out.

"Good! Looks like you've gotten the hang of it!" Twilight cheered as the crowd started to get the whole moveset down. "But hang on, we're not done yet!"

I'm to sleepy to get out of bed today.
I guess that I was wide awake inside of my own dreams.

Fluttershy sang the first line, before Rarity added in the next one, both of them putting their hooves on their head as they danced to the song.

Why am I such a sleepyhead?
Why am I such a dreamy head?
Uuwoah! Woah! woah!

Rainbow Dash and Applejack did the next part of the song, flapping their arms backwards as they got to the end of their segment.

Let's blame the Yo-kai!
This is all their fault!
All their fault!

Pinkie and Twilight took over, with the rest of the girls adding their own voices to the song on that segment was over. They looked over at Whisper, Wiglin, Steppa, and Rhyth, who all posed for the crowd.

Watch! What time is it?
FUN TIME!

The girls all looked down at their arms, mainly to the part where Twilight and Red Snow's Yo-Kai Watches sat delicately on their arms. With another spin, the girls all shouted, "AGAIN" and the song beat resumed.

Yo-kai Yo-kai Yo-kai Yo-kai
Yo-kai, won't you be my friend?
Yo-kai Yo-kai Yo-kai Yo-kai
Yo-kai 'til the very end!

Let's go with the flow, you can shake it to and fro
Spending time with me
Yo=kai Yo-kai Yo-Kai Watch-chi-chi!

Kai Kai Ki Ki Koi Koi Kay Kay
C'mon Yo-Kai Watch with me!

This time, everyone performed the moves flawlessly and to the beat. They all moved in perfect harmony, and not one pony misstepped or bumped into anybody. With one final pose, everyone began to broke a sweat as they all took in deep breaths. They had danced to the song so much that the wind had been knocked right out of them.

"Wonderful! Truly marvellous!" Whisper flew around Twilight rapidly with a big smile plastered onto his face. "You and the girls practically nailed the Yo-kai Dance perfectly!"

"Thanks, Whisper." Twilight said between breaths. "That was really, really fun!"

"I agree with Twilight." Rarity nodded after another gasp for her own breath. "I don't think I've ever danced like that since I was a filly!"

"Yep! It sure was sweet!" Rainbow Dash started to flap her wings again. "That really livened up the party, didn't it?"

"Yeah! You all had fun, right?" Pinkie Pie asked the crowd, who responded with cheers from each and every pony.

"It was wonderful." Fluttershy gave Whisper the kindest smile that she could. "I'm not really a fan of dancing, but the way you all handled it, it was pretty fun."

"I ain't had a dancing workout like that since... well, forever!" Applejack took her hat off and used it to fan her sweating face. "This has to be the best Pinkie Party ever!"

"Glad you all enjoyed it!" Rhyth walked up to Twilight with Steppa and Wiglin. "We sure had fun, and it was a blast teaching you all the Yo-kai Dance."

"Thank you, Dancing Trio." Twilight gave the three of them a big hug, causing the three of them to pop right up out of it shortly after because of their slippery seaweed bodies.

"As a token of our gratitude, we want you to have these." Wiglin, Steppa, and Rhyth all produced Yo-kai Medals and gave them to Twilight, who gladly and quickly took them and put them into the Medallium. "If you ever need a dance party like that again, then be sure to give us a call!"

"I definitely will!" Twilight beamed as she closed the Medallium up and put it away. "Thank you again for such a wonderful time!"

"Thanks, Dancing Trio!" The other Main Six ponies spoke to the Yo-kai as well.

"See you soon!" Wiglin, Steppa, and Rhyth all waved goodbye before they disappeared in puffs of smoke, just like the many Yo-kai Twilight had seen before.

"What do you say, girls? One more time?" Twilight looked at the girls.

"Definitely!" Rainbow Dash nodded vigorously.

"Indeed!" Rarity added.

"Sure thing, Twilight!" Applejack's smile grew even wider.

"I'd love it!" Fluttershy exclaimed.

"Do you even need to ask, Twilight?" Pinkie Pie bounced on her tail. "Of course, we'll do the Yo-kai Dance again!"

"Then let's go!" Twilight ran back to Town Hall's steps with the rest of the girls and began to move their bodies to the beat again.

The Yo-kai Dance restarted, and everyone was dancing along perfectly this time. The smiles on their faces were clear. They were loving every second of dancing with Twilight and her friends, and they too were having just as much fun as dancing with the townsponies. Together, everyone would keep the party going until the break of dawn.

Author's Notes:

I was worrying for the second half on whether or not I shold include the Yo-Kai Watch Outtro song for the Yo-kai Dance when the girls began dancing. But then I remembered not just the show, but the Yo-Kai Watch attraction at Universal Osaka and decided, "Screw it. It's Yo-Kai Watch. What better way to please my fans than with a sing-a-long of the Yo-Kai Watch Outtro?"

And just for the heck of it, here it is again in Author's Notes form:
