Chapter 11: Act 2

Out of The Frying Pan…

Out of all my experiences in life ive never seen a place just as alive of Ponyville, that was 10 minutes ago and now I was walking through the flaming town of the Nether.

All I could see was mobs and ponies alike walking around or viewing the many shops and venders available as I watched them talk and laugh like any other normal village. For once I felt at home.

One vender however looked like your typical knows-everything-about-village-person, so I decided to see if he could help, that and I needed something other than bread to keep me going.

“Excuse me Miss could you help me out?” I asked as she turned to face me, her fur was yellow with a crimson mane of different shades of red and eyes the colour of her coat.

“Yes, and I’m guessing you’re not from around here huh?” She said in a casual tone as I glanced at the massive hole just outside of town, yea that close

“Yea, I guess you could say that,” I joked as she held a hoof out to me and I shook

“Nice to meet ya! I’m Solar Blitz and I’m also going to guess you need directions to a potion vender, yea?” She guessed quite well for my standards as I nodded

“Cool, just give me a moment,” She said as she disappeared under the counter for a moment before a glass bottle with a magenta liquid came back up with her

“How much because it’s not cheap, right?” I asked as I eyed the potion for a bit before she pushed it over to me

“It’s fine, on the house!” She said happily as I raised a brow in confusion

“Why? Don’t get me wrong it’s just I have trust issues sometimes, that and last time I drunk something like this I woke up in a tree” I explained as bad memories of a certain ‘demon’ came to mind and a tree as she gave me a softer smile

“You’re the one people have been talking about, the one who saved that village and beat Rattlebones of all Mobs! You’re considered in my opinion a badass!” She said in excitement as only Pinkie could match that as I smiled

“Really, didn’t know word got down here, that and thanks for the help,” I said as I drank the potion and soon I felt my injuries wash away as I sighed in relief “Better,”

She then gave me an odd look that I couldn’t describe before her eyes widened and soon she pulled me over the desk and under the counter. But before I could say anything I heard someone just above me.

“Excuse me Miss Blitz the Chief was wondering if you saw a Pegasus with metal wings come by here as newcomers tend to go to you for help?” The person, most likely a guard asked as she glanced down at me with a frown before looking up

“No, can’t say I have, maybe he knew he was being looked for and decided to lay low for a while, just a guess anyways,” She said as I waited for a response as my mind raced

“Very well, just inform us if you happen to see him, his coat is a peach colour with a black-spikey mane and has 2 metal legs and two different coloured eyes,” The guard described before adding “And they said his muzzle is quite ‘Odd’,”

Ok I get my muzzle isn’t like a normal guys but seriously?! You just had to add that part!? I hate this game…

“Ok then seeya around!” Solar said happily as I heard the steps disappear before she opened the door just ahead of me and I crawled inside as she followed suit

I won’t bore you on the detail of the house but it’s your typical looking living room and such, As Solar closed the door she pointed a hoof to the seat and I decided to sit down as she spoke first.

“Looks like your famous for more than 1 reason,” She said worried smile as I waved her off

“Yes, I just love how I’m always thrown head first into danger, except Mondays, Mondays are the worst,” I said in disgust as she rolled her eyes before getting more serious

“Why are you here? I mean you defeated Rattlebones but why come here?” She asked and I knew if I was going to save the village in time I would need all the help I could get

“Alright but you better sit down because this is a long story,” I said as we both sat down and soon I began to explain how I got stuck in this dimension  

“How you haven’t lost the plot yet is beyond me at this point,” Solar said as she sighed whist rubbing her head as I shrugged

“Na this is normal for me, but what puzzles me is why you helped me? You could have turned me over but you didn’t, and even after what I told you, why?” I asked more to the fact that I could really use some help getting around this place

I couldn’t read her face it was more stuck between confused and… fear?

“I did because… because I’m sick and tired of all the higher ups treating all of us like cattle just to feed themselves, ever since the Goddess disappeared nothing as gone right,” She said in with a frown on her face as I continued to listen intently

“I just want to help make my home as amazing as it once was, that’s why I thought if I got you’re help you could help me, please?” She pleaded as I got and rested a hoof on her shoulder as I smiled with a determined look

“If you’re willing to help save your home then I’m willing to help,” I said confidently, what I didn’t prepare for was her hugging me and rapidly saying thank you as I smiled more “Ok just stop crushing my wind pipe,”

“Oops sorry, right where do we start?!” She said determinedly as I thought for a moment about everything until I noticed her wide-eyed stare

“What is it? Yoohoo! Solar!” I called out as she snapped out of her trance before pointing at my golden chest plate

“It’s got the royal cress on it,” she said as I looked down and saw what appeared to be a crimson phoenix with a sword in the background as I gave a sheepish smile and rubbed the back of my neck

“Hehehe I didn’t notice,” I laughed as she face-hoofed as she shook her head before focusing again

“Look if my hunch is correct we need to enter the fortress and find the other pieces of the armour if we have any shot of saving both our worlds,” Solar explained as I thought over even possible scenario, KAI would be very helpful right now

“Ok then I guess we’ll just have to sneak our way in if it’s that fortified, once in we should be able to locate the armoury and find that golden armour,” I finished as we nodded and got together a few items

I wore a brown cloak and Solar decided to just bring an iron sword with her as we departed for the fortress, as we moved are way through the lively city guards were on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary.

After a good 10 minutes of walking we came right up to the nether-brick stairway leading into a massive fortress of corridors, two guards were posted outside and so we set our plan into motion.

Solar walked up to them quite casually as I looped around behind the pillar as they halted her movement as she just smirked at them as I tried not to laugh.

“Hey what’s that on your faces?” She asked as they both looked at each other before I came around and smashed their faces together as they fell limp “It was pain!”

I laughed with her as we quickly hushed ourselves and moved inside and began to traverse the endless halls until we found-

“The Armoury!” We gasped at the same time as we quickly approached it and slowly opened the door and stepped into the weapon filled room

All around us were weapons of all types from swords to bows and bows to staffs. I must be dead because I am in heaven as I darted around the room looking at the assortment of weapons before Solar dragged me by the tail as I pouted in protest.

She then dropped me in front of a golden set of bars and within it held shiny golden armour with an almost shiny sheen to it as the light reflected off its metallic surface. The only thing we both notice missing was the golden chest plate, that shined on my chest.  

“So how do we grab it?” Solar asked as she poked at the bars and I instantly brought out my pick and began to smash the shiny pick into the bars as the broke in seconds “Nevermind!”

I grabbed the armour as it gave off the same warm heat as I stored them in my inventory as I nodded and we began to make our way back through the fortress, avoid all guards.

“Ok we’re almost home free, the exit is just around the *gasp*!” I stopped as I almost walked into one of the dozens of guards, some of them Blazes as they glared at us

Then we saw a very snobby looking unicorn come out, he almost looked just like Blueblood only more fire related colours as he even talked like him. God help us all.

“So we have some rats in ‘MY’ fortress, well then I guess we’ll just have to torture them to know their intentions, no use having them locked up if they got this far,” He spoke as he smirked and I grimaced

“Hey would you look at that, we outta be going, you know saving the world and all, you know important stuff, so… Bye!” With that I grabbed Solar by the hoof and dragged her with me back down the hall

“Get those peasants!!!” Redblood, yea great name, yelled as the Blazes fired blasts at us as they ignited some of the blocks behind us and in front as we jumped and rolled to avoid being burned

As we ran for our lives I noticed my hunger reaching only 4 bars as I began to panic and I glanced over to see Solar looking terrified. I was going to get her killed, if I don’t act fast then all this would have been pointless and it would have been my fault. Not yet.

As we approached a crossroads I noticed one leading outside and decided to take that one as a barrage of fire hurdled past us as we ran out onto the catwalk. As we reached on of the outside cross roads I stopped.

“Blaze what are you doing we need to run!” Solar shouted in a panic as I smiled and pushed her behind a small outcrop I saw the shadows approach.

“Just stay here, I’ll be fine,” I was lying but I didn’t care, I wouldn’t kill her just for my own goals. I stood out as I saw the army of hell approach me as I backed up and then winced “Dead end,”

Well not exactly there was land, 100 blocks from the sea of lava that rested down below. As they all blocked off my exits they completely avoided Solar’s location to my relief before I heard Redblood’s voice.

“You know if you weren’t a wretched, flightless peasant I would hire you, you would have been a good slave,” He mocked as I snorted

“I rather burn for all eternity than rule under your snobby mouth!” I snapped back earning an enraged look from him as I felt an arrow snag my cheek as I gritted my teeth but smiled none the less

“You worm, I am the ruler of this land and with the Endermare’s help I will burn that pathetic world of yours!” He laughed as I narrowed my eyes but he continued

“Maybe even pay a visit to your friends, one of them would be a very useful puppet,” He smiled as my rage grew as I knew who he was talking about and I felt my voice change

  “SO HELP ME IF YOU DARE TOUCH A HAIR ON HER MANE I WILL FUCKING RIP YOUR HEART OUT WITH YOUR RIBS!!!” I screeched as he and his men took a step back before I heard a cry behind me and my ears flattened

A ghast.

*BOOM*

I jumped forward as the blocks behind me fell into the fiery grave below. As I regained my footing I felt a massive kick hit my jaw as I spun back and almost over the edge as I held on for dear life.

I looked up only to see the wrenched unicorn standing over me with a blade in hoof as I gulped. He gently put the tip of the cold blade to my metal hoof and smiled, it pissed me off.

“Hope you enjoy burning you nobody,” He said before I grabbed the blade with my metal hand before staring directly into his cold eyes

“And when I come back you’ll burn in the fires with me,” I said before he plunged the blade into my leg and I fell back wards off the edge and time seemed to slow

“Heh if he thinks death will stop me, I won’t rest until he and that Endermare is dead, even if I have to crawl out of the fires to do so,” I murmured as if felt the fire burn my body and nothing but red clouding my vison.
