Amnesia: Twilight Sparkle
Chapter 3

Stress and fear rose in Twilight’s body, she needed to hide and fast.

“The wardrobe!” Twilight shouted and ran towards the wardrobe in the first room.

In the nick of time she managed to close the wardrobe door as the monster broke down the door to the room. Twilight tried to breath as quiet as possibly not to reveal her position. With careful movement with one of her front hoofs she opened the wardrobe door, the monster stood right there with its back toward Twilight. This monster was different though, it was larger, and instead of walking on all its hoofs it stood tall on its back legs without balance problems. And one more thing was strange about him. He didn’t have a swollen up claw hand. Instead his left front leg was cut half off and where the cut away part should be was now a big metal sword shaped knife.
Twilight let out a quiet sigh of fear, but. It wasn’t quite enough. The monster turned around and again Twilight let out a sigh of fear this time even louder. The monsters head. It had been split in half! As the monster shuffled towards Twilight, she let out a scream of fright and jumped out of the wardrobe and ran towards the exit, just to stumble on the room door the monster had broke down earlier. With a bruise on her front leg knee that was bleeding not to bad, nothing she couldn’t handle. She stood up and again stared to run towards the stairs. When she approached the first step on the stairs she didn’t hear the monster following her.

“Was it even there?” Twilight thought to herself.

She had to stop and make sure if she was chased by the monster or if it was her mind playing tricks on her. She turned her head and looked back. And out from the doorway, a repulsive head poked out. The monster let out a loud groan and started to run towards Twilight, with its sword arm high in the air. But Twilight didn’t move she was like paralyzed with fear. The monster got closer and still Twilight didn’t move, when he was just inches away from Twilight, she snap out of the paralyzed fear realizing what was happening and quickly took a step backwards just to feel her hoof hit nothing but air, and she fell. After that it was just black.

Everfree forest thirty days earlier.

“C’mon Twilight! We don’t have all day to find the cave you’re looking for.” Rainbow Dash said
“Yes, yes I know. Let me just look at the map one more time”
“What so special about this cave anyway, Twilight?” Applejack asked.
“Ohh. Haven’t I told you? In this cave is supposed to be a rare artifact. I have read a lot about it and I am sure it is real.” Twilight said.
“Ohh silly, Thats just some old pony tale!” Pinky Pie said.
“I’m with pinky on this one just an old pony tale.” AJ said.
“But it is true, I’ll show you! And what I have read it’s suppose to be an alien artifact too” Twilight said.
“C’mon Fluttershy we’ll search from the air, it will go so much faster.” Said RD
“Oh.. Okay..” Fluttershy said.
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy flied up in the air and left the earth ponies and the unicorn to search by foot.
“So, do you believe in any of this artifact talk?” Rainbow asked Fluttershy
“Ohh.. I… I don’t know…” Fluttershy answered
After thirty minutes or so, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy returned to the earth ponies and the unicorn.
“We found it! We found it!” Yelled Rainbow dash as she dived towards Applejack, twilight and pinke.
“Yay!” squeaked Fluttershy coming after Rainbow
“Great!” Said Twilight

Twilight woke up with a headache shed never felt before. Her vision was a bit blurry, she couldn’t make out any details and she was unable to move. When the blur finally passed by, she saw why she couldn’t move. The monster that had been chasing her had also fallen down the stairs and probably broke its neck, because it did not move or breathe. But Twilight didn’t know for sure. With the strength she had left in her body, she pushed the monster away. Getting up on her legs was harder than she had thought. Twilight managed to get up the what seemed to be longest stair in the world right now. When she remembered where she should go, she pulled out the lantern lit it and open the door next to the quest room. The wall of darkness behind the door fled when Twilight entered with the lantern, revealing a hallway. In this hallway there were five doors. Two on the left, two on the right and one down the hallway. Twilight sighed.
“Well, If I want more clues I probably need to search all rooms.” She said.
Starting with the first door on the left. But the door was locked. And so were all the doors Twilight reached the last door to the right. She read the sign. “Old Archives”
“This will be interesting. Interesting indeed!” Twilight said with some joy in her voice
Open the door to the archives with the key she found in the closet with that dead stallion, a layer of dust was in the room. Like nopony had been in there for years. In this room there were four bookcases standing back to back some inches away from the wall. Between those bookcases there was a painting table of some sort. But instead of a painting there was a map, over the castle. Twilight looked around the room and noticed a torch on the back wall. With one of the tinderboxes she had found she lit the torch and put her lantern out, waited for it to cool down a few seconds, and then put it back in her bag. Before she walked up to the map she investigated her surrounding, searching for a hiding spot just in case. There were no wardrobes or other doors she could hide in, though it was a fairly large box in the corner of the room. She walked up to the box just to find it looked with a padlock in fine condition. Unbreakable. But it wasn’t too heavy, she could push it and get some space between the wall and the box. A big enough space for her to fit. After she had made her fine little hiding spot she walked to the painting table and the map. When she got closer to it, a white light appeared in her mind.

“Do you see this, Twilight?” Flakk said.
“Yes, Flakk. But what is it?” Said Twilight
“It is the map over the castle, the shadow has done big damage do it, we have to reinforce here, here and… here” Flakk said and pointed on difference location on the map. “We have to act fast, Twilight! The whole thing can collapse on our heads, soon! I’ll get the servants to work on it in the morning.”

The white light appeared again and Twilight finally got back to reality.
“That was… I remember that. It happened a week ago. But.. I… I don’t remember where we were going to reinforce. He never marked the map. But I should take the map with me, just in case.”

When twilight lifted the map from the table she saw a key, a key that was hidden behind the map.
She read the label. “Wine cellar”

“Well, I guess I should look for the wine cellar then.” Twilight said.

With quick steps she exit the room ran down the last door, it was a heavy looking door. So if the monster back there that had trying to kill her earlier decided to wake up and search for her it was impossible to break this door.
Now Twilight felt safe and with a crystal clear mind.
The headache had disappeared fully when she found the wine cellar key. A bruise on her front leg knee that was healing itself and didn’t give out so much pain. She opened the big heavy door, made sure she closed it properly. When she turned around to walk away the door made a clicking sound. The door went into a deadlock. Twilight didn’t mind though, that the door locked itself behind her.
“I think I have much more problem than just a locked door ahead of me.” Twilight said with a chuckle.
Turned around and started to walk down the small hallway. For new fearful adventures.
