-Canterlot-

"Your Majesty, ponies are reporting an attack at Saddle Lake involving a unicorn and a siren. They're saying that the unicorn killed and ATE the siren." the servant informed Princess Celestia with a grim expression.

"Was there any other casualties?" the celestial alicorn asked.

"A mother and her daughter were almost killed. The foal was mauled by the siren, and the mother was attacked trying to protect her." the servant replied, looking over several sheets of paper.

"I want the unicorn found and brought to me... Send out Toucan for an aerial view and Dawn for a ground search, in case the pony is aggressive." Celestia ordered.

"Yes, Your Majesty!" the pony said, clicking her hooves together and saluting the alicorn.

-Saddle Lake-

The massive unicorn stallion yawned loudly, stretching his front legs in front of him and unhinging his jaws. Shaking his head, the pony rose to his hooves and scanned the water's edge. Ponies lined the opposite bank pointing around him. The stallion turned his head to see a group of uniformed ponies, pistols held to his snout. The unicorn looked at his snout and gazed at the barrel held against his snout, a flat expression crossing his face.

"Get down, on the ground!" the police pony shouted at him.

"I used to eat your kind as a side dish and pick my teeth clean with your BONES." the pony snarled, memories of similar looking prey items from his home floating into his mind.

The police fired a warning shot at his leg, the bullet skimmed his skin and exposed pale flesh. With a painful roar, the stallion whipped around and bucked his legs at the police, throwing him against the sleek hood of a motorized carriage. On cue, the air filled with gunfire as the police officers shot at the unicorn, not noticing the strange transformation taking place.

Well, they noticed when he wasn't a pony anymore.

The forty foot long, twenty foot tall, eight ton Tyrannosaurus Rex uttered a tremendous bellow and thundered away, his tail effortlessly snapping trees like toothpicks under it's weight.

The Tyrant Lizard King trampled bushes and saplings underfoot, his massive skull swinging back and forth to push larger trees out of his way. A helicopter hovered overhead, following the furious saurian. As the airborne vehicle lowered altitude to survey the damage, the Tyrannosaurus Rex leapt up, snapping his jaws on the tail of the helicopter and pulling it down. The main propeller struggled to keep the vehicle up as the engines began to grow hotter, billowing smoke from the damaged, hind rotor. Shaking his head as if taking down a pterosaur, the primeval reptile threw the helicopter to the ground, a series of explosions causing the trees to go up in flames.

"It's headed due North, towards Ponyville!" Colonel Obsidia shouted over the sounds of explosions. "Stop the creature, before we suffer more casualties!" the dusty brown pegasus yelled, pulling her revolver from a holster and firing several shots at the massive creature. The dinosaur angrily roared, the blood curdling sound hurting the colonel's ears.

"I hear you." Toucan replied, fumbling with the odd device around his neck as he followed the Tyrannosaurus Rex's trail of destruction. Directly below him, Dawn ran head long after the dinosaur, her mane blowing against the wind. "How you doing down there?" the Pteranodon gryphon asked into the headpiece.

"Fine." the Indominus Rex grumbled in response, not agreeing with being used to track down an Equestrian nuisance.

"Good." Toucan replied, diving in toward the saurian with a confident grin across his face. Going into a free-fall, the pterosaur suddenly transformed, his body becoming enveloped in golden light as his silhouette grew larger and more aerodynamic. A newly formed Pteranodon dove toward the T Rex, a loud caw escaping his throat.

With a bellow, the predatory dinosaur looked up to see the silhouette of a bird-like animal, the sun blurring his view of the newcomer. The T Rex swung his head back down and focused his view on the path ahead of him, a low growl flowing through the wind.

Toucan uttered an ear piercing shriek before he streaked toward the saurian, his long beak aimed at the carnivore's eye. Wildly jabbing his beak at the tyrannosaur's head, the pterosaur screeched with irritation, his beak not making it's mark, but only angering the saurian.

The T Rex slowed to a complete stop, waving his head to rid himself of the annoying bird attacking him. With an angry bellow, he leapt up and closed his jaws around one of the pterosaur's feet. Toucan screeched in pain as he was pulled to the ground. The T Rex then placed a clawed foot on the Pteranodon's chest, threatening to crush his ribs and puncture his heart. Toucan cowered in fear before seeing a familiar white shape thundering toward them. A smug grin crossed his face as the Indominus Rex swung her spiked skull at the tyrant, throwing him off balance and allowing the pterosaur to free himself.

The tyrannosaur furiously roared a sound not unfamiliar to that of a lion's growl, foamy, bloody saliva drooling from his maw. Unhinging his jaws in a threat display, the saurian exposed his 64 long, glistening teeth. The Indominus swung her head in her own threat display before the two charged each other, kicking up dust as the saurian's sprinted to meet each other... This battle was to the death, no matter how long it took.

-Mirror Kingdom-

The dark alicorn gathered her wits and closed her eyelids, her magic sensing a powerful magic emanating from the Mirror world's Crystal Empire. It was unlike the calm, subtle magic of the goody-two-shoes version of herself. It was a more reckless, even dangerous, magic similar to that of King Sombra's dark magic. She liked what she was sensing.

"What of these newcomers?" the evil Princess Luna asked her older sister. "Their magic is powerful."

"I have plans to bring the evil one here. He is powerful... If he will work with us then Equestria will be mine without failure." Dark Celestia replied with a glare... "We just need to get to him without arousing suspicion..."

"You mean 'ours', right?" Luna replied.

"What?" the celestial alicorn growled.

"Equestria will be 'ours.' Right?"

"Yes, of course..." Dark Celestia replied with a reassuring smirk, holding a hoof to her sister's chin.

-Crystal Empire, One Hour Later-

One Eye held back a painful roar as the Ophiacodon wrapped bandages around his waist, gingerly working to wrap a long, jagged gash without him losing his mind and biting her head off.

"Would you be careful?!" he growled through clenched teeth, reeling back and sucking in his breath.

"Well, if you would calm down and stop flinching, it would be a heck of a lot easier!" the unicorn mare retorted, finishing up One Eye's waist and moving to his left arm.

"My arm's fine... Leave me be." he ordered, waving the former synapsid away.

It was only a few moments later when he heard a knock on the door. "Venom, I swear if it's you-!" he was cut off when a tall alicorn mare entered the room, a stern look crossing her face. "M-my apologies." he corrected himself with wide eyes.

"No need." she replied flatly. "I know how annoying servants can be." the mare continued, approaching One Eye. "I could sense in you, a powerful magic... I need magic like that to help me."

"Yeah... And?" the stallion grumbled, rather rudely, wincing as he propped himself up on his elbows. Dark Celestia rolled her eyes and waited for the pony to heal himself... Except, he didn't.

"Do you even know how to USE your magic?" she questioned the unicorn, lifting an eyebrow.

"Can't say that I do. And you must be expecting that I think YOUR any better at it?" he replied with a chuckle, infuriating the alicorn. She calmly shook her anger away and tried a different approach.

"I do know how to use it... But you're a newcomer. Magic is probably not your strong point." she said, her horn beginning to glow. "I can't have a cripple working with me, now can I?" she said as One Eye's waist glowed and the pain vanished from the spot of his wound. A relaxing feeling swept over One Eye's entire body as all pain was washed away. The stallion lifted an eyebrow and peeled the bandaging away from his waist. He then ran a hoof down the scars that used to be on the side of his head.

"How the hell-?" he said, panic beginning to spread across his face.

"Shush." Dark Celestia cooed softly, placing a hoof against his lips with a smile.

When she pulled away, One Eye spoke. "Why are you helping me?"

"Because I know a little somepony who you would like dead." she replied with a mischievous smirk on her face. The stallion lifted an eyebrow. "A little somepony who you know by the name of Rex."
